21  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Who likes pod miners? on: March 28, 2017, 04:13:40 PM
Ohhh Yeah, this is what I like to see! how big are these? can I shove 2 inside an old rock-box?

see OP=4 inches square, not sure re height.
At first i thought that i see a reflection of the top sink on the table, but, apparently, there are identical sinks on top and bottom with bottom one being a bit blurry on the pic.

you see, I read over this about 5 times, I was looking for numbers, not words and it was 1am too when I type that out, 3am now lol

just pulled out an old board, and cannot find my ruler.. so yeah, I say 1.75 of them can fit

* Shipping is free.

* cgminer with windows now works (even with the emerald batch).

* Furthermore, the sapphire batch will have much better appearance on the heatsink side.

How can I buy it? and the price? please.

Holy Resurrection Batman!

if you Really want one of these little miners (remember, these are 333MegaHash/s most miners are in the Peta, I ment, Terra Hashs, and the latest sticks are from sidehack at 10GH/s+ https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1718358) you can keep an eye on ebay (one here at http://www.ebay.com/itm/132032003324 but i cannot vouch for this person, it was a quick search on ebay).

friedcat got fried, he will probably Never show up here again, last thing he was dabbling in was the BE300 chips, and then went bankrupt, a few people still want his tail..

Speaking of working, looks like VH is gearing up to test the USB comms I'll need for the BF16 Compac. So that's pretty great.

that one step closer Cheesy

Excited for any form of pod!

Same here. Looking forward to a few BF pods to play with.

We all are..
just remember to PM sidehack "Whens the BF out!?" "how much are the compac pods?!" and "can i buy the pods?!" everyday to annoy him till he releases them. He like that kind!

(anything stated here is not factual, do not annoy sidehack, he is already slaving over the 2pacs for everyone)
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Graphics card for beginner miner on: February 23, 2017, 02:02:03 AM
These days, for bitcoin, none, most cards could pull about 200-900MH/s, these days we are mining at  +1PH/s or 1,000,000MH/s, at the rate of .15W/GH.

now I don't know what is minable with cards these days in the alternative coins, you may need to look into that.. even on litecoin, you'll get tenth of a cent per week mining with that (may be able to get 1.5MH/s off a RX460? and most people are mining at the GH/s range)

why is this the case you may ask, ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuits) have dominated the mining industry, so its not based on 3rd party hardware any more.

29  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Mining on a VoCore on: April 08, 2016, 02:52:03 AM
this thing with "Dock" basically has the same hardware as a tl-wr703n, and you can get them for $10 to $30, same Mips24K CPU, 4MB storage, 32MB ram, USB, 100M ethernet With 802.11 b/g/n. also it does about 500KH/s on bitcoin.

Scratch that! Get a GL-AR150 http://www.ebay.com/itm/321850131925 $27 + $5 shipping heres some info: https://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/gl-inet/gl-ar150
30  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How loud is a Rockminer R-Box (100ghs) on: April 08, 2016, 02:30:47 AM
its a light whine that the 2x72mm fans put out, but face them away from you and they disappear into the ambient noise, if you get the rubber shipping filler with them, they are good for removing the vibration on the table.

I used to own 4 of them, and had them as a talking point in the lounge-room..
31  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience Compac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: March 28, 2016, 11:59:13 PM
It actually depends; some U3s run the BM1384 chips, but those are the ones that run at 0.8w/gh, the ones with slightly lower power consumption and look like a big mac with holes in it.

Source?
it looks like you are describing the batch 1? the BM1382s would run at the 0.8W/GH and 60/68GH/s though..
32  Economy / Goods / Re: Trezor hardware storages question on: March 24, 2016, 03:08:48 AM
wrong place for this, should be in the hardware section: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=76.0 if you care to move it op?
33  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S5 fan mod - problem on: March 24, 2016, 02:05:24 AM
Well, I did the same thing, put two 100+CFM fans on my S5 (push-pull) and the temp just ramped up to 60+, the fans could only get upto 1200RPM which was the noted max on the specs of the fans. So what I'm thinking is, as the temp rises quickly, the system is trying to push the fans to a faster speed, but the fans themselves cannot do it, the thermal protection on the system tries and fails to push the fan faster, it shuts it down for safety.

so I'm guessing that's what OPs original issue was?
34  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.319/GH & 0.51W/GH on: March 17, 2016, 03:13:13 AM
i wondered, if i got a S5, laid the 2 boards down (open them up like a book) with a 200mm fan over the top of the sinks, would it run cooler? does the other side need some air movement to be happy? other then the LM75As are there..

or is that a good question?

im going to hunt out some PWM 200mm fans and test this theory of mine...
35  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitfury: "16nm... sales to public start shortly" on: March 15, 2016, 12:41:30 AM

Ever added water to lithium? When the fire department goes to put that fucker out the reaction will be something of awe!

we all know what alax jones says about the government putting lithium/fluorine/uranium/otherdrugsSUISIDEPILLZ in the water supply..
oh wait, you're talking about the alkali metals reacting to water lololol

yes, i can just see the final amounts of unburned lithium reacting with the water spray, "why is the water going purple.. OH SHI-"

just for some SCIENCE! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmlAYnFF_s8 "High speed camera reveals why sodium explodes!"

fuse wire is OK for killing off shorts, but its no charge protection, now, all them cells packed in that small place, i can see a chain reaction happening when one goes off, he didn't want his house did he?
37  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: pH Miners Launches Powerful Cryptocurrency Miners for Bitcoin on: March 14, 2016, 12:23:49 AM
heh look who bought into this scam...I mean is there NO research in news organizations anyomre

https://globenewswire.com/news-release/2016/03/10/818724/0/en/pH-Miners-Inc-Launches-High-Quality-Cryptocurrency-Miners-for-Bitcoin-Litecoin.html

man these guys crack me up Smiley

its a PR site, you can add your own story/news/PR to that site to give more media out in the world. hence "Source: Ph Miners Inc."

but yes, it does smell like the same *Miner scammers..
38  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: pH Miners Launches Powerful Cryptocurrency Miners for Bitcoin on: March 14, 2016, 12:18:35 AM
Then the question becomes: Did PH miners actually buy rights to use the image or just copy it off the Getty site?
Betcha Getty would like to be aware of it's possible/probable unauthorized usage by them...

they would of had to of bought it, since its watermarked, if not, they scabbed it off another company that used it..

or as notlist3d said:

It is a scam company no doubt they copied it. There were some selling getty accounts in digital, but luckily they got rid of hacked/cracked in digital (for most part).  But no way they paid proper.

And nice job searching it out.
39  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Solar array starting to look good. on: February 20, 2016, 04:06:23 AM
looking at this thread, it got me looking at solar panels, kits and cells(diy ftw!) the most expensive is 0.9W/$1au to the cheapest 2W/$1au for diy.

if I can get a setup to get 1KW off-grid I think I'd be a happy camper.. but I never properly worked out the math to get the 1000W draw to needed cell power (KWh) and battery storage.

If anything, I want to setup my aircon to off-grid by modding it to run on DC and generated solar/wind/thermopile/steam..

Anyway, good luck with getting that solar setup running nicely!
40  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS][EU] 4x Antminer S5 .44 btc each on: February 16, 2016, 10:04:12 AM
I was looking at the picture, I thought to myself "That room looks familiar, why does it look familiar?!" now i know, you were trying to sell some Zeus Thunders!

So, what would the postage of them be to Australia NSW 2705?

Yes, you are right  Grin I was selling some zeus miners at last summer. Now it's time to upgrade S5's to S7's.

Postage to Australia from Finland is about 50 euros per miner.

so all up, 1 to me for 0.58btc?
