At the moment, Atletico Madrid is 1-1 at home against Mallorca, but we have already seen that that means nothing at all. Barcelona only conceded 9 goals in 30 games, then you have done well defensively, I can report. But Atletico madrid has also made an impression lately. Defending was once an art for this team, but it now seems that they have been looking to attack a bit more lately. They have started a good sprit and are now only 4 points behind Real Madrid. They also lost 4-2 yesterday and the opponent's player managed to score no less than 4 goals. Only Messi could do that in his good time against Real Madrid. Still a relief for Barcelona that they will take the title this year.

Game starting soon, to see Pogba in the starting XI at this point we need to wait next year  Roll Eyes

All the best players in the bench  Roll Eyes
Actually Pogba is still not at his best after recovering from injury, therefore he is still filling the bench for now. On the other hand, I don't see a few important names like Szczęsny, Vlahovic, Di Maria, Fagioli and Chiesa in the starting line-up. It looks like Allegri risked quite a lot during this big game against Napoli, but it looks like they are also very happy with where they are in the table now. But wouldn't this actually be a good opportunity if you manage to beat Napoli and get full points right? but strangely Allegri didn't even use the main squad in this match.

It is a pity to see that a player like Pogba has not been able to fully recover from his previous injury. I also don't think we will ever see the Pogba of a few years ago, when he had great actions for the French national team and he was good at United too. Juventus was a good choice in itself, but it's a pity that he just got injured. He does have a lot of talent, but he can't show it at the moment. Juventus and Napoli are not showing much at the moment either, they both don't seem to be looking forward to it given the 0-0 score that is currently on the scoreboard.

For Lewandowski's chances it was clear enough because he is a striker and naturally he took that opportunity and shot it towards goal, but unfortunately his instinct this time missed and he should have been more able to pass it to Raphinha so that it could be a goal. However, sometimes what he wants doesn't fully come to what he expects and this is also a job for Lewandowski to prioritize team wins over personal wins on the pitch.

Lewandowski failed to score after his shot was so inaccurate. If he had passed to Raphinha I think it would 100% be the second goal for Barcelona. But that's just part of the game because not all good opportunities can be converted into goals.

Barcelona did show good performance after failing to win against Getafe and Girona in the last two weeks. De Jong and Pedri made Barcelona's performance even more effective against Atletico Madrid, who in fact were able to win the match. Barcelona managed to dominate Atletico Madrid the whole match, and I was really happy to see how well this team did against stronger sides than Girona and Getafe. Barcelona managed to maintain an 11 point advantage over Real Madrid, and I hope this advantage can be maintained until the end of the season.

Lewandowski isn't as good as he once was either. He no longer shoots with ammunition in his time at Barcelona. They didn't let him go for nothing in Munich, of course. Still, he has certainly had value for Barcelona, but today's victory is in any case back. However, Barcelona will also have to look at how they can make their attackers function better. Gabi is also really good by the way, Barcelona is lucky with that. Personally, I find Ansu Fatih a bit disappointing lately.
204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: April 23, 2023, 07:02:03 PM
The score of 1-0 has remained the final result for Barcelona in that match. And that means that Barcleona can add another clean sheet to their impressive number. I don't know off the top of my head but there are quite a few. Mallorca leads against Getafe with about 10 minutes left on the clock in total. Getafe also has very lean years, while it was still active in the EL a few seasons ago. They are far from that level at the moment. Real Madrid's arrows are logically on the CL, the competition will probably not even bother anymore and is a kind of practice campaign.

ya.ya.yo!
I don't care anymore how many scores Barcelona can score in every game the rest of the season, but I just tend to be happy when Barcelona drop points and give us a little hope to compete until the end of the season. But I no longer expect a rivalry between Real Madrid and Barcelona in La Liga, so shifting his focus to the Champions League or the Copa Del Rey is much more important to me.

Barcelona won't slip or drop many points in the next 8 matches, so my hopes for Real Madrid should be gone. I can say that Real Madrid's chances of winning the La Liga title this season are impossible as long as Barcelona are still 11 points ahead of us.

Still 8 games to play, on paper that is still quite a lot, but there is no longer any tension for the title. After the winter break, Barcelona really got ahead of Real Madrid, while I have not had the impression that Barcelona played games at a very high level or that they were really that much better than Real Madrid. Barcelona just did what it had to do, beat almost everyone and keep things closed at the back. Real Madrid has played with an open house too many times this season.
205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Portuguese League - Liga Portugal 2022/23 on: April 23, 2023, 06:59:47 PM
Porto managed to win yesterday in their away match. We can easily say that paços de ferreira, who were 10 men in the first half, could not be very effective in the second half. Porto increased the pressure, scored 2 goals, won the match and continued to follow Benfica.Today, Benfica beat their relegation rival 1-0 and managed to maintain the point difference with Porto. It should be noted that Benfica missed a penalty against Estoril. We could have seen a different score but it didn't happen. They might be a bit demoralized because they were eliminated by Inter.

Port and Benfica are still the biggest clubs with the greatest status and also with the most international successes. Sporting cannot intervene there, but Sporting has done well together with Benfica in Europe. based on those statistics, Porto falls a bit outside the boat. In the competition it is always these 3 teams that call the shots, other teams don't even come close to this trio. It would be nice if other teams would find the connection, but I'm afraid that won't happen. Certainly not in the short term, of course.

I am curious what offers will come for Arne Slot, who has shot Feyenoord to unprecedented heights in the past 2 years. Surely that would not have gone unnoticed abroad? AS Roma will not be an option for the time being, Mourinho and Slot had a bit of a fight. But what if a club like Tottenham reports? That club was emphatically mentioned a few times and still seems to be an ideal candidate for this trainer. What also amazes me is how much money Chelsea has spent on players in recent years without results.
207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Thought On Gambling Strategies on: April 23, 2023, 06:55:28 PM
Making errors is human, always will be. Gamblers who have lost often go on tilt, then you are fed by emotions and there is no longer room for a rational thought process. A lot of people have already gone wrong on that basis. If you lose once you have to stick to your own strategy, otherwise things will end even worse. People often make bigger bets to recover losses incurred, but in practice that kind of thing almost backfires with all the problems and consequences afterwards.

Juventus - Napoli has just started and it is 0--. Not very strange since the game has only been underway for just 7 minutes. But it must be extremely frustrating for napoli to play these kinds of matches, they can no longer motivate themselves for this, I think? The biggest goal was bullying in the CL, and that completely failed after an elimination this week against AC Milan. already champion in the competition, so that is no longer about anything. I don't know how Napoli's players are approaching these remaining matches yet.

Things can always get worse for Chelsea, but this season they seem to have broken through a lower limit. Chelsea have already made a big mistake with the appointment of Potter, who was inexperienced and proved to be of no added value to Chelsea, and it has now become a complete mess. Lampard cannot solve that in a few games either, but will certainly have time to come up with something next season. Then there must be a good plan in the summer, otherwise it will be very difficult for Chelsea. Maybe spend a few more millions as an idea? haha
210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: April 23, 2023, 06:48:26 PM
impressive win by Alcaraz.
He has been truly superlative also today in final match of Barcelona Open against Tsitsipas.
Yesterday against Evans literally no match, it was like a training...

If this guy continue to plays in such way... probably he will become the best player tennis we have ever seen....

Alcaraz is currently the best tennis player together with Djokovic, but how long that will continue to go together is the question. I think that Alcaraz is for the better player on clay, on hard court it will probably be the same. At the moment Djokovic also has an injury, so then you have no chance to be among the best in the world anyway. And Djokovic has already experienced everything in tennis and a mountain of experience, but Alcaraz has his age and physique on board. I would love to see these 2 play against each other in tournaments.

AZ is only 2 points behind Ajax due to a virtual victory. Ajax has really lost a lot of points lately. Or would the competition have become stronger? In the case of Feyenoord I can say yes. But AZ is doing well in Europe, but it is unreal that Ajax might still be 4th in the competition? I can hardly imagine that would happen. Ajax's goal difference is still a lot better than AZ's, but that won't help you much if you miss a lot of points now. I also don't know the program of the teams that are still competing for the European tickets.
212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: April 23, 2023, 02:58:38 PM
What an incredible mess in Manchester United's defense at 1-0. And that goal also fell within 10 minutes, then your entire battle plan can go into the water. I think we can also blame Ten Hag, a player like MagCuire is just not good enough. You could play Zidane between 3 men and Modric too, but not MacGuire. And the 3-0 was not even that undeserved. From a successful season to a bad season now seems to be emerging at United, which can actually only have a good season if they finish 2nd in the league. AS Roma were very lucky to make it 2-1 in the 89th minute.

I fully agree with that. This player has already received a lot of fierce criticism from all quarters. And United also I think paid something like 90 million a few years ago for this player. It was also partly due to deGea, who must of course never play the ball in that way. Leverkusen also won very easily 1-4, while at home it did not go further than a 2-2 draw. So not everything has to say something with away and home playing teams. I think that counts especially at the top level. At AS Roma Feyenoord, AS Roma was much, much better, especially in extra time and won 4-1 in total. AS Roma Juventus is an obvious final.

Regardless of which strategy you use, you must be prepared to accept losses. That is the most important. After all, there will also be days when you go into the minus, but everyone has that. Even professional poker players know that they can't always win. There used to be ways to make money in a casino, as you could count cards, for example. Security has been tightened up quite a bit in the meantime, so you can't do those kinds of tricks anymore, of course. Most gamblers in the casino are there for fun or addicted. There will be few who see gambling as work.
214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: April 23, 2023, 02:43:34 PM
I think Lens is safe for qualification for the CL, as no less than 3 teams from France will qualify directly for the CL. You shouldn't even count PSG anymore, they almost automatically become champions. PSG has played 3 draws and lost no less than 5 times, and still lead by 9 points. The numbers 2 to 6 are teams that are all evenly matched normally. Lyon has come a little closer but only a miracle seems to be able to bring Lyon to Europe. I think it's too late. A great season for Lens this year.

It's that time again in the Netherlands, the match between PSV and Ajax has been stopped. The reason for this is unclear, but I suspect it has to do with disturbances between supporters who thought it was inappropriate to throw objects on the field. This first incident happened a few weeks ago, and what you get now is that supporters know that the matches are going to be stopped, they see this as the ultimate opportunity to shchop riots. Some people go to the games for the wrong reasons. But how are you supposed to deal with these kinds of abuses?

3-0 for PSV now. As an Ajax supporter, it must hurt your eyes to see your team lose so without a chance. From title candidate number 1 to laughing stock at the top. Maybe Ajax is not even at the top anymore at the moment. Becoming 3rd now seems to me to be the maximum achievable, but AZ is also very close and is in a slightly better flow. Ajax will have to appoint another trainer if they want to do things differently in the coming season. This is a lost season with perhaps only a cup as prize. in any case something, but they can do that again against PSV, by the way.
216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: April 23, 2023, 02:39:32 PM
Real Madrid is a different Real Madrid in the CL than in the league. That also explains the difference in the competition between Barcelona and Real. Where Barcelona simply goes to the title, Real in Europe has been much more successful in recent years. 4 titles in the last 10 years, to 0 from Barcelona. Barcelona was close once, but then went down no less than 3-0 at Liverpool. That was still in the time of Messi, by the way. I think City is the favorite against Real, but I certainly don't rule out that Real can continue. Last year, City also had full control of the game but missed a few 80% chances. You shouldn't do that against Real.
217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2022/2023 on: April 23, 2023, 01:55:58 PM
Ronaldo is not very popular in Saudi Arabia at the moment. The goose chanted Messi's name in his last game. And Ronaldo made a perhaps less convenient action when he walked off the field, and for that they now want to fine him 350.00 euros, as if it were nothing. Most people have to work for years for that, Ronaldo about a little less than a day. I don't know if Messi has the interest to play in this competition, what should he earn, maybe 1.5 times as much as Ronaldo? 2 million a day maybe something like that?
218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eredivisie 22/23 - discussion thread on: April 23, 2023, 01:54:21 PM
Twente - Sparta was a goal-rich draw: 3-3. A result that we have seen more and more in the football competitions lately. But most eyes are on the PSV - Ajax match, which currently results in a 1-0 lead for PSV. But Ajax should really not lose this, otherwise it will most likely be a 3rd place and it could also be possible that Ajax will become 4th, in both cases of course a failure. Look at Ajax's budget, those are dizzying numbers. I think it also has a lot to do with the trianer, Svhreuder and now also Heitinga are of course not top trainers and Heitnga has no experience whatsoever. I would only keep Heitinga as Interim trainer.

It will now be a very difficult story for Ajax, PSV has just made the 2-0 and I think it is the end of the story in this match. I also think that we should not burden and condemn Heitinga too much, he arrives at Ajax at an exciting moment, he still won the first 6 matches, but that was against many low flyers. Erik ten Hag was a great coach, when he left the empire at Ajax collapsed. Spent over 100 million on players and then another mess on the pitch. They have appointed a new technical director, but the question is whether he has the capacity to put things in order.
219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: April 23, 2023, 01:52:25 PM
Alcaraz - I think Tstitsipas is a match that Alcaraz will easily win. Difference in level is significant between these 2 players. Alcaraz is the absolute world top and the Greek is just below that. On a good day from Tsitsipas he can give Alcaraz a hard time, but I honestly don't know the stats either. Alcaraz is really good on Gravel, maybe he will be as good as Nadal in his prime. Would we get someone who will win as much in Paris as Nadal? That is probably the gravel king for centuries.
220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: April 22, 2023, 07:41:02 PM
What a big difference in points between Barcelona and Real Madrid. That difference is really unprecedented. We haven't seen that in a while. I also noticed that Atletico Madrid is firmly in 3rd place, while it seemed to be very exciting for a long time. but Atletico have had many victories in the last period, almost overtaking Real Madrid. No one would have thought that possible. As a leader, Barcelona has also wasted quite a few points if you are very objective. But they will no longer have to worry about that in Barcelona, so Atletico Madrid is assured of the CL next season. Valencia really has to watch out because playing football at the moment in the fight against relegation.
