201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is anyone active on Steemit? on: March 01, 2018, 12:05:07 PM
putting your steemit in your signature space might help you get those extra viewers. I don't write for steemit but am always looking for quality content posted about altcoins. I'll check out your account and hopefully you have got some good content.

How much do you earn per post?
202  Other / Meta / Re: Can i change my username here on BitcoinTalk forum? on: March 01, 2018, 11:59:45 AM
Hello, I've found a way to change the username linked to a specific email address but my account was never used and therefore I'm not affected by old posts, activity or merit. I'm assuming this is not what you're looking for but I'll post my method anyway.

Go to: Profile > Account Related Settings > Change the email address: change the email address to a secondary one that you don't use.
Now your primary email address is freed up and you can use it to register a new account with a different username.

I personally did this because I wanted my primary email to be associated with my new username.

That just changes the email address which isn't public anyway unless you check the checkbox. The OP is looking to change his username which is displayed every time he posts.

204  Other / Meta / Re: Spam from obirum airdrop | 374 accounts to consider nuking. Mods: Nuke'm? on: February 13, 2018, 06:12:01 PM
Can we just make LoyceV a moderator? He's obviously very active in dealing with spam and has found 800 before and now found 374 users to get nuked all in one day.

It's counter productive to have him just listing this in Meta when he could be dealing with them directly.
205  Other / Meta / Re: 1st rank update after the Merit system launch on: January 28, 2018, 10:25:53 PM
theymos recently made a change regarding the merit system and said he's open to changing the system for the better. Hopefully this means tighter/higher restrictions but, more Smerit for established users.

I can't wait until we have several hundred sources and truely see if the merit system is going to work as intended. At the moment there's several high quality posts which aren't getting merited at all or if they are they are only recieving 1 or 2. But thats down to the amount of sources and how limited sMertis are currently.

This could give the impression that merit is hard to achieve but that's only because there isn't enough sMerit currently to give to everyone. When we get more users who are sources we shall see an increase in merit being given to high quality posts.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ripple a true Cryptocurrency? on: January 18, 2018, 12:12:54 PM
I think ripple is just a pump-dump coin. It is not a promising coin for me and there are many bad comments about it.

Ripple has been around for as long as I can remember. If it were a pump and dump coin wouldn't you think it would of died out by now? It's easily been around for 3 years. I don't think it's a pump and dump coin and originally intended to be better than Bitcoin. It didn't succeed though and newer and better coins have come out since.
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and ETH are Shitcoins on: January 13, 2018, 09:03:51 PM
When a coin is exposed to as much network traffic as Bitcoin and ETH has been exposed too then all of them would of had to accommodate by rising the fees. This is because the coins need to rely on miners to use their processing power to move any transactions and solve the maths problem within the code. This means for them to be able to do this they priorities transactions with higher fees. The more transactions being made the more the fees go up.
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] truly decentralized exchange | token ecosystem infrastructure on: December 14, 2017, 01:07:47 PM
So rather than PM the devs they make a big public statement like that "look how great we are" 😂
I'm sure blocks devs have already found it

210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I've compared Syscoin, Bitbay & Particl - Decentralized Markets Comparison Table on: November 16, 2017, 03:10:48 AM
OP thank you for making this image!  Grin Awesome work, will become very useful when explaining the differences between the BAY platform and the various other decentralized marketplaces in the future.

yeah i agree. Great to see the attention Bitbay is getting today! Well deserved!
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I've compared Syscoin, Bitbay & Particl - Decentralized Markets Comparison Table on: November 11, 2017, 10:51:20 PM
Good to see Bitbay and Sys will be on Blocknet decentralised exchange! I think that will see huge volume for both.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitBay OFFICIAL BITBAY Thread Smart Contracts Decentralized Markets Rolling Peg on: November 11, 2017, 10:15:02 PM
Reminder

We are forking November 30th. Download and start using the new wallet now.
The new wallet handles the fork automatically, so you don't have to worry about it once you have installed it.

Only "QT Wallet" (2.0 pc version) handles the fork automatically or also the Market Client (1.29 pc version) Huh

Both Qt and client. We recommend the client of course. That's where you find the market and smart contracts, and also the advanced security features like cold staking.

Awesome job! Looking forward to the rise is staking

http://peg.syscoin.org/

Syscoin also has price pegging ready to go.

 Cheesy

You mean the 'price tracker' they have named as a peg to try and defuse Bitbays real Peg.

Syscoins is a price tracker which Bitbay have had 16 months . .
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I've compared Syscoin, Bitbay & Particl - Decentralized Markets Comparison Table on: November 06, 2017, 02:21:21 AM
Hello everyone, I apprecciate the effort trying to do the comparison between decentalized marketplace. I think that inevitably there are some logic flaws in that work, it's easy to do a comparison table in that way, you took features of bitbay compared to others that maybe maybe are following a different path, i can make two comparison table taking in exam ps4 and xbox one and showing different points so having different and opposite final toughts about it
It's a bit strange and unfair dont you think?

I will start talking about philosophy and the reason why of the projects, first of all, if a project is not 100% open source is not open source at all. Everybody would agree on this.
who cares about social media followers? it's so dynamic, it add nothing to the project.
Then a transaction cant be truly anon if i'm allowed to use btc or any other currency non privacy focused.
beside to do odd comparison and even not completely fair vs the others we should talk in a constructive manner trying to understand each other what kind of direction they are following.
Personally I invested in Safex, i like the vision and reasons behind it, being truly anon it's not related to deep web stuff but to improve your own security on the net. I prefer the concept of dividends more than proof of stake also. What are your thoughts? I'm skeptical about particl because of the shadow cash case.

I also love SAFEX!I think the dividends will attract a lot of long time holders. And also the devs are really active and communicating with the community every week about the progress.

How can you fall in love with an idea? They only have vapourware. Probably why he guy didn't even bother comparing it.
Worst thing you can do is fall in love with a coin like people do with religions  just because you invested in it.

You realize how stupid your statement is? following your logic every ico is vaporware, you dont know the definition of vaporware, particl is vaporware they already failed with shadowcash providing an anon coin and now are retrying to fool people with a rebrand. thank to you it isnt possible to make a discussion, you are behaving like religious people attacking someone because he said something that you dont like.

Yes every ico is vapourware and yes particl is vapourware as is safex.  Safex isn't  part of the disscussion here. I guess he didn't include it because he didn't know about it or thought it wasn't worth mentioning because it's so far behind. .

Guys I just found out syscoin isn't 100% open source

Open source with closed source markets

Good to see others taking notice
218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] MONETHA - Decentralised reputation with built-in payments on: October 09, 2017, 07:32:28 PM
I think the team is not a Scam. They support the connection of community, but unfortunately do not give specific questions, the crooks took the money and ran away, never talked to us. So I can say in defense of the team what ever a company will not grow in one month as we want the X10 for a short time, a big company requires more time. I hope my words are true and when we get a strong product.

The team isn't a scam. I didn't say it was! I'm saying what you have all bought are pointless vouchers that have no real world need and people will not buy them as users of Monetha. They can use other crypto such as btc & eth. the founders and creators don't need to please all you voucher holders. THey have their funds to build what they plan and will become extremely rich because of it. They basically have done a crowdfunding page and given everyone that invested coupons that are pointless and practically worthless
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] MONETHA - Decentralised reputation with built-in payments on: October 09, 2017, 07:26:23 PM
I’m glad people waking up

I saw what it was 20minutes before investing! Always do my indiligence now!
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] MONETHA - Decentralised reputation with built-in payments on: October 09, 2017, 07:20:27 PM
They needed the funds to develop the payment system they are planning and probably will develop , I'm not saying they won't do that. But what you have been given, these Monetha tokens are useless as they will just act as vouchers once the payment system is up and running! You haven't bought shares or a % of the company. They wanted your cash and in exchange have given you coupons for their project once it's up and running. Monetha vouchers/tokens are not needed for the future of the project. The team don't need them for it to be successful. You don't have to own Monetha vouchers/tokens to use the platform.
So ask yourself, why would anyone want to own them?

Example -
For Bitbay marketplace you need to own Bitbay
For Edgeless casino you need to own Edgeless Tokens
For Monetha you need . . . Oh wait 😬

Hello funsponge, thanks for your question.

Below are two answers from our community members that have provided the clearest answer:
“my reason as an investor for wanting to invest in Monetha is to gain the MTH tokens, which  I’m hoping one day there would be a huge array of merchants and people who use Monetha. So I’m kinda always given “free" or heavily discounted stuff because I’m a MTH holder. And eventually these vouchers would be attractive enough for people, who are not yet MTH holders, to want to get MTH tokens, so that they can get access to these vouchers for discounts and free stuff.”

Or, what another member on Telegram said it: “I see the token vs voucher question in the following way: You buy MTH TOKENS to contribute the platform and later maybe to pay with it. For your contribution you will get tradable + spendable tokens and later when the platform is major enough and generate revenue, you will get as EXTRA also a voucher (like an Amazon or Steam) which is spendable only. Of course vouchers require a wide/strong support of the platform, which, I guess, is expected by all the ICO contributors. If you only contribute to make quick money on an exchange, forget the vouchers and be happy with the skyrocketing token price  Where you can spend MTH tokens, there you can spend also the voucher.”

Regards,
Monetha Team

I wouldn't like to see what community members think may happen. As a member of Monetha team (and now possibly a millionaire) I'm asking what YOU, THE MONETHA TEAM what these vouchers are for, why they are useful and why would people buy vouchers when they can just use BTC or ETH.
You know you have  fleeced a lot of people and know you have gotten away with generating $37m without having to answer to anyone. You don't care about these tokens/vouchers you have given your investors. It was just the only way you could have gotten away with getting ur investment without giving away  any percentage of your company! You have raised $37m and own 100% of the company!
I do see this tech/ platform been the next paypal but your token holders will not get rewarded & your marketing team deserve a huge pat on the back
