201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZEN] ZenCash: Private, Secure, Resilient CryptoCurrency with zk-SNARKs on: June 05, 2018, 02:10:42 PM
Socialist again, sad little kid... The more you comment the dumber/clueless you look. I blame your parents (and Trump).

All you're doing is name calling and shilling for a BITMAIN.  BItmain acts like a communist/socialist dictator over the crypto community.

Your name calling gets you nowhere.  Especially, since you're basically advocating we "trust" BITMAIN to have honorable intentions for the community instead of selfish intensions for themselves.  Which describes what I intend to convey in my previous statement about them acting like a communist/socialist dictator who seeks to deceive those who support them; only to end up showing their true intensions to take advantage of those fooled by their illusion.  They have done this over and over again with other coins they secretly/privately mined.  They do not offer their ASIC for sale until they see it's no longer as profitable to mine with it anymore for themselves -OR- they get wind of a potential fork on the horizon.

In fact, they took advantage of those with the D3 and X3.  I'm sure the same thing will occur once again with Z9 and Z9 mini.  Meaning, they do not give those who purchased a batch to be shipped at a later date an opportunity for refund before it's shipped.  Especially, when those who purchased it see their investment is on the verge of getting bricked.  BITMAIN, says, "Sorry, but not sorry.  You simply lose."  Not good for business.

BITMAIN, does not give a damn about "community."  They only care to gratify themselves at the expense of community.

im sure they release a new asic one day after the coupons expire.
probably EtHash...

Have you not done research into ETH's discussion on fork to PROG Proof of Work?  They already said they will fork.

Source please ?

Go to Ethereum's YouTube channel and listen to conversations the developers have been having recently.

How about an offiical press release.

I simply listen to the developers discussion before an official release.  They sound like there will definitely be a fork and it's looking like a future POW/POS hybrid.

There's no guarantee they will use PROG but they sound very interested.  However, they said they WILL fork and continue with POW/POS hybrid.
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain launches the Z9 Equihash miner on: June 05, 2018, 01:35:47 PM
because they are already using them,
now its time to sell them..

just a guess..
maybe there is no real ethash asic..
i dont know-

I can agree with you on that comment for sure.

Have you not done research into ETH's discussion on fork to PROG Proof of Work?  They already said they will fork.  So, why should Bitmain make an attempt at another ASIC for ETH if a fork is coming before September?
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain launches the Z9 Equihash miner on: June 05, 2018, 12:52:01 PM
Im sure i will regret this, but i ordered 2 more units.
just wanted to get rig of those coupons asap.
i hate those things..

How is August/September delivery, "ASAP" Huh
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain launches the Z9 Equihash miner on: June 05, 2018, 12:44:20 PM
If they gave us another 4 to 6 months to use the coupons that would be one thing, but short notice short expire isn't any help.  Quite discouraging for anyone getting miners in the second batch.  Looks like they expect something drastic to happen.  This isn't good.

No, it's not good...  This is looking like X3 all over again.

Bitcoin Private will fork (confirmed by June/July)
Bitcoin Gold will fork (confirmed by June/July)
ZEN will fork (confirmed by June/July)
EXPANSE will fork to PROG PoW (Confirmed by June/July)
ZEC will probably fork (about a 65% chance before September)
Two others will do whatever ZEC will do.

KOMODO will NOT fork (Confirmed)

All Equihash ASIC's will compete on what few Equihash coins not forking.  All of that hash condensed into fewer Equihash coins will not be good for Equihash ASIC's of any kind.  My opinion...  That's why I said earlier that Batch 1 was pretty much your best chance of ROI.  Providing you get it relatively soon.  Bitmain is currently taking their sweet ass time about getting out Batch 1.
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain launches the Z9 Equihash miner on: June 05, 2018, 12:40:21 PM
as long its the same chip with same power efficiency, its not a big deal.

Go ahead, you keep on believing that.  It's your prerogative.
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain launches the Z9 Equihash miner on: June 05, 2018, 12:32:41 PM
whats so sinister when a Z9 is just the equivalent of 4xz9 minis? just nosier.

More coming off the assembly line - OR - that ALREADY came off the assembly line.

They don't take that much longer to make compared to the mini.
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain launches the Z9 Equihash miner on: June 05, 2018, 12:24:30 PM
The bigger version of Z9 would just have 4 times more hashing and 4 times more power consumption. Same thing like buying 4 z9 minis. Nothing sinister about it. It would be some thing like the ascminer for equihash only without water cooling.

https://asicminer.co/shop/asicminer-equihash

Nothing "sinister" about it?

You're not concerned at all how many Z9's (not mini) BITMAIN may have already?
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain launches the Z9 Equihash miner on: June 05, 2018, 11:58:39 AM
On the subject of Batch 1 Buyers getting coupons vs a 2nd Z9 Mini in the 2nd batch, I would rather have the 2nd Z9 Mini vs coupons that expire in 30 days.

"IF" I were to buy a Z9 mini, I would have taken the first batch or none at all.  Especially, with potential forks.  August/September ship date is just too long of a wait with potential forks on the horizon.  After researching several threads and websites to find out more about what coins are forking or not, I consider Batch 2 or later batches a HIGHER risk than Batch 1.  That's my opinion.

Those lucky enough to get batch one should be fine.  Those with batch 2 should be concerned.  That's my opinion...
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain launches the Z9 Equihash miner on: June 05, 2018, 11:48:43 AM
They don't want to even contemplate storing a warehouse full of new Z9's. They understand that moving stock is business. They want all sold long before production starts rolling them out and they have estimated a LOT of production.

Most should be "considering" whether they've had Z9's (not "mini") mining since late summer of 2017.  I would be surprised if they're manufacturing more Z9's (not "mini").  They did that a LONG time ago [More than likely] FOR THEMSELVES.  Why sell everyone money printing machines that they can simply use for themselves?  First, they mine for themselves.  THEN, once profitability has decreased -OR- threat of a fork appears imminent, begin selling hardware.
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZEN] ZenCash: Private, Secure, Resilient CryptoCurrency with zk-SNARKs on: June 05, 2018, 11:15:51 AM
i didnt buy the z9 mini and having 2nd thoughts now cause i should have, and being anti asic before now im having 2nd thoughts also

Why bother coming here "shilling" for Bitmain?  You KNOW ZEN will fork and you're on here lobbying for Bitmain; NOT ASIC's.

WHY do you think all of us GPU miners and developers who are PRO GPU "chose" to create coins that were "supposedly" ASIC resistant?  It's because we KNOW how CENTRALIZED mining would be with ASIC's and BITMAIN dominating.  We know it full well.

Yes, most developers dropped the ball in regards to ensuring the network REMAINED ASIC RESISTANT.  It's a lesson learned and will "hopefully" not occur again.

What's done is done!  ZEN WILL FORK and there is NOTHING you can do or say to LOBBY to change the mind of the community.

Yes, there is an issue with a large portion of hash pointed at Suprnova Pool.  That's a whole other issue of centralization to deal with.  Yet, you actually want us to add ANOTHER centralization issue to the mix by TRUSTING ASIC manufacturers; namely BITMAIN.

NO THANKS!

and if bitmain has miners were in no better situation on gpu because its also monopolized by nvidia and amd, while there are shortage of supplu how come you see other people selling at an insane price and have stock, for me if bitmain will agree to always do a max 1 unit per buyer this might actually be better than gpu mining

This statement alone PROVES the community would be at the mercy of ONE CENTRALIZED MANUFACTURER to "TRUST" they would do what you suggest AND ALSO APPLY THAT RULE TO THEMSELVES.

DON'T BE NAIVE.

Take your BITMAIN SHILLING elsewhere.

This community will NOT stand for it.
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain launches the Z9 Equihash miner on: June 05, 2018, 02:05:05 AM

I debated the ignore thing, but he's not the worst troll by far, and I'm on here for information, you never know when someone might contribute something useful. But I totally hear you on the quoting troll posts, making a mental note to stop doing that. Smiley

best thing I ever did to sift through the BS here is to click ignore on everyone running a sig campaign - then adding the remaining shitposters to the ignore list is quite easy.

If anyone says anything useful, it usually gets quoted anyway, so you can unignore the few that run sig campaigns and don't have ulterior motives in their posts.

I found this technique allows me to cover more threads in less time and to get more useful info than trying to scroll through everything.

YMMV.

And you're not on a "sig campaign?"
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZEN] ZenCash: Private, Secure, Resilient CryptoCurrency with zk-SNARKs on: June 04, 2018, 09:17:40 PM
The higher hashrate the more secure,so we need the ascis which can provide higher hashrate, saying, more secure system as BITCOIN.
It is a hysterical disease for fearing advanced machine, are we the uncivilized man who use pen and paper to calculate HASH? Ridiculous.

what a silly and clueless comment.

Man who fears advanced technology is a silly socialist.
Doesn't bitcoin maintain network security with ASCIS miners?ASCIS is not demon, the silly socialist is.The silly socialist weakens everything.SAD。

Where do these cupcakes come from?

Boom? He's just continually repeating thoughts and ideas that have been talked about for ages all over this board but acting like it's some revelation only he is capable of bringing to the people.

Sure...  as long as others keep repeating...

Ouch, that is a huge gap in shipment dates... Not cool at all.  Not sure why they would bundle up 77 orders then wait for 3 weeks to ship the next batch.
They sent them out to all the shills and supporters of Bitmain 1st.  The rest of us have to suffer, so the shills can ROI

I'm not a shill. I just happened to be ordering a B3 when the Z9 appeared in the store.

I know it's sarcasm...  I miss dmwardjr's wise words already!!

Cheesy Our very own Alex Jones. "It's probably because Shitmain wanted a small batch out there to blame their 51% attacks on, so the Illuminati can get their Zen Cash to replace the pope with Angie Dickenson."

Here we go... I'm "Jonesing" again for you.  Get it?   Grin

Suppose it's only a coincidence these 51% attacks occur on coins that:  "SPECULATION BELOW"

#1:  Declared they will fork away from ASIC's.
#2:  All within a short time after CONFIRMING they will fork away from ASIC's.
#3:  BITMAIN has a "motive" to implement a 51% attack based on their declaration they will fork.
#4:  The fact that BITMAIN revealed they have a Z9 (not "mini") proves it would be VERY easy to implement a 51% attack.  Which would ALSO prove they have mined with them for quite some time.

Once these coins are forked, we'll see BITMAIN LIED to Zooko about not private mining AND about not having a larger Equihash rig that's been mining for a LONG time once everyone notes how much the network hash rate drops.  Especially, if ZEC actually forks.

219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain launches the Z9 Equihash miner on: June 04, 2018, 06:29:23 PM

When I bought my mini's I figured there would be an X9.  Thing is the mini's are perfect for home, they are as quiet as a GPU right, and don't draw a lot of power.  There is a market for them, deal with it

Again, this. It's like saying Mac Minis are a conspiracy because Mac Pros exist.

I know that, but our thread troll wants everyone to think if you bought a mini you are going to be screwed because one Bitmain is evil and 2 the Z9 will be 50 times faster at a 10th of the price.

Sorry, but you're not in MULTIPLE threads, like I am, to know everything that's going on.  Well, maybe you are...  Doesn't look like it though.

The only reason I'm bringing up the Z9 (not "mini") [That I refer to as "Beast" and have since day one] Is simply to point out they have "POTENTIALLY" privately/secretly mined Equihash coins LONG BEFORE the Z9 mini came on the scene.  Just as Monero was privately/secretly mined long before they released their Cryptonight ASIC.  The only reason they released the X3 was after growing suspicion of being found out by Monero developers.  Of course, to be fair, that is also "speculation" on my part.  Doesn't mean my speculation is wrong but it doesn't mean I'm correct either.  BUT, if you look at the Monero Hash rate how it dropped as much as it did, I'm sure BITMAIN had a decent portion of that hash rate that was forked off by Monero.  Which has me "speculating" if similar actions are occurring here with Equihash coins.

As for Z9 mini purchasers being screwed by Bitmain;  No, not necessarily.  It's my opinion they're getting screwed by their own decision to purchase "IF" these forks play out the way I'm "speculating" they play out.

It's THAT simple.

And yes, posting a link to the video makes some sense. I would like to hear the video clown's answer/explaination.

Boxalex,

He deleted the video.

Again, great job man!

+1

You deserve a merit for that one.  Certainly earned it.

Should be double proofed than by now, lol  Wink

By the way, the only right thing to do from him, taking it down as it didn't contain 1 single real fact.
And hopefully he as well learned the lesson to just double check things bevor making them public available.

Yes, agreed.  It was the right thing to do from him.  I believe "WE" learned a lesson.

Thanks for teaching it.
