201  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the right age for financial stability? on: November 22, 2023, 12:03:22 PM

Yes you are right, there are other factors aside from knowledge and skills if you have that determination and by chance luck back you up

even you don't have any knowledge, chances to bring ideas out of nowhere can help you out to be successful.

It's just that mindset where you are not willing to easily give up that will allow you to seek for more and aim for your success, by luck and hard work
you will find that wisdom and possibly create that spot to be financially stable.

The determination to act is a very important character trait, because if you have the desire, even without much experience, you can learn everything along the way, if you don’t give up first. You can have excellent knowledge and sufficient experience in some niche, but be afraid to start doing something yourself, and in this case, a person with less knowledge but with a greater desire will achieve a better result. At what age you start doesn’t really matter either, you need to start when you’re ready for it.

That's my point, even you don't have that enough knowledge at the beginning, you may learn more about the business or the venture
that you are taking is possible.

And from that point of view, achieving your goal of being financially stable is really possible.

I personally think that having that determination gives you that desire to push yourself to the limit and make something
happen to you in terms of financial aspects.
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you guys think on: November 22, 2023, 11:15:19 AM
Old thread but the question is still suitable for the current situation. And i believe this is the time to build up your portfolio. Although it could be more effective if anyone can do it little earlier. When op if you done that that time, then that would be more profitable cause that time price fall more down then now. The fact is time duration only. And i think now anyone shouldn't worry about the action of bear cause we are assuming that, bear period is kind of end and bull era will be start soon.
Building a crypto portfolio isn't the problem but I think the problem lies in been able to hold long enough to be profitable, the basics concept of investing in cryptocurrency is buying low and selling higher, the high of today maybe the low of tomorrow so almost anytime is good but been patient enough for your assets to appreciate well about your points of entry is a key factor as to how well your investment decision would play out.

Good point, it's best to learn how to timing yourself in buying your assets, it's not easy but doable as there are successful traders
who manage to make money out of this revenue of investment.

The more on skills, knowledge and patients, the more you know what you are doing the better chance of making success.

All you need to do is position yourself and take time learning more different patterns and factors that affect how the market will move to make good assessments.

Tyson Fury branded 'not manly' and 'embarrassing' in blistering attack on boxing star
https://www.gbnews.com/sport/boxing-news-tyson-fury-not-manly-embarrassing
Quote
“I think it’s old hat. "When he starts with the name-calling and personal insults on physical appearances I just think it’s not manly.

"It’s funny at the start … it’s probably why he struggles to get sponsorship let’s be honest.

"It’s a hard sell for a company when he’s got the mouth he’s got. The potty mouth.
-Carl Froch

These comments from Froch sound like bitterness. It's one thing to criticize Fury's talent or discipline, but Froch is questioning his masculinity and saying something completely non-sensical about sponsorships. Fury has had no problem making money since he signed with Top Rank and ESPN, many times more than what Froch ever made. I've seen some of Froch's YouTube videos in my feed and I always just ignore them because of how clickbaity the titles are. I don't know if Froch really believes what he says or if being a Fury hater is some kind of gimmick that gets him views and keeps him relevant.

I like to follow your assessment, since social media is one of the best places to make money, there's always reader who will like to
read a negative statement regarding a personality that is gaining attention all over the web.

Better to keep away or just ignore since there's nothing special about what the content creator's saying just pure self-proclaimed opinions.

It's more on how he will gain views and how he can take money from those poor viewers who watch or read the contents.
204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a steady income haven on: November 22, 2023, 06:39:05 AM
That's if you are not even addicted to gambling already, a addicted gambler always have one goal in mind, '( I have to make back all I have lost ), this is where the beginning of the end begins.
I agree with you. Gamblers always chase the thought of "I must recover what I've lost," and it's precisely when they adopt this mindset that it marks the end for them. They might recover some losses in a few rounds, but what happens afterward? They continue playing, and the losses often pile up more than before they attempted to recover. It's a vicious cycle with no way out as long as they keep holding onto such thoughts in their minds.

Yeah right, the beginning of chasing every single penny that they've lost when playing, that kind of attitude will bring them to suffer with
possible for more losses in the future.

Without any control, instead of making money it will be the opposite, though chance that there are people who can make some or who can manage
to control and have a good journey with their gambling activities.

But most of the time, gamblers who think that this venue is an easy access to make money suffer from addiction and huge losses.
205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 22, 2023, 05:59:16 AM
LOL Philly seriously just lost at home against a Cavs team that is missing their best players.

NBA these days really is totally unpredictable.
Especially when teams are missing major players they suddenly pull off wins they maybe wouldn't even have gotten if the missing guys didn't sit. Kind of a next in line mentality.

I didn't even think it would happen. The only possibility I considered was that Philly wouldn't be able to cover the spread, but they ended up losing anyway. It felt like they put in so much effort to bring the game to OT, only to lose in the extra time. But you know, that's just the nature of the game. Philly has its off days, and we can't underestimate the Cavaliers. They're a solid team that doesn't rely heavily on Mitchell, unlike Philly, which leans a lot on Embiid.

That's something unexpected I was under the impression that after putting it into OT they will take this extra time to dominate and possibly cover
the handicap but that thing did not happen and went to the other side.

Sorry, lost for those who back up the favorite, not having Mitchell is not a big problem for the Cavs they've got
everyone to cover and to help them win the game.

Whoever picks the Cavs and gambles with a heavy risk, they are enjoying those huge earnings for sure.
206  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Tataas Kaya Ang Awareness Ng MgaTao Sa Bitcoin Kung May Mga Billboard on: November 21, 2023, 12:30:33 PM
Pwede iconsider ang billboard solely for the purpose of public awareness

Essentially, it's not a bad idea if the person has already withdrawn enough money to cover the initial bankroll that he already had and is now gambling with pure profits, and even if that is lost, he doesn't lose anything from their budget and if they manage to win some more, he can start adding to his bankroll from the winnings so that he can have some profits left at the end of the week or month when their budget cycle ends, and then they can enjoy the profits and then renew their budget again.

One can also use the winnings as their budget for the next period and save the money that they usually use for their budget or use it for something else. In general, there are a lot of things one can do after winning a significant amount but only if they are thoughtful enough to think about all these things.
Sure they didn't lose anything but I would say that they're doing much better if they spend that win on different stuff like food, new clothes, probably a new designer bag or even addition to their investments assuming that they are investing in something and as you've said they can cover that money for the next bankroll budget but what's the point of the reward if you're going to just put it into gambling again? No way that's the most logical thing to do so I stand by what I said that playing that win until you've gone back to the original bankroll is a stupid mistake.

A wise idea indeed, why bother to bring that money if by chance you have that opportunity to quit and use that money to celebrate your win.
Being practical and not thinking that you can win more will definitely give you that edge.

Most gamblers, if not all, will continue and will try to add more, as if luck will not stop and will continue to give them that streak to earn more.

They will only realize that huge mistake after they lose everything and after that the follow-up regret and all those what if they stop
and use those earnings for something much better.
208  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the right age for financial stability? on: November 21, 2023, 11:26:16 AM
Life is hard if you belong from a poor family. If your financial condition isn't good then you suffer a lot to complete your daily needs demand and essential things that you need to leave a good life. That is the right age for financial stability because those children who belong from a poor family they try to do something good at the little age when he understand their financial condition. After trying and doing hard work at the stage some gate success in life fast some good success in life slowly there is no recommended or right age for success.
You talk about feeding yourself and having other bills to pay, and it is becoming more and harder every day. You now need money for nearly everything. Financial status is similar to the final agreement. If that issue worsens, it will negatively impact even your day. I don't believe their is a particular age to be financially free, everyone's destiny is different, personally you don't know when you will be financial okay. All we need to do is keep working hard and making money. because those with low socioeconomic status constantly strive to improve themselves. I believe everyone has different chapters of life.
Not everyone will become rich, apart from knowledge and skills, there is also the luck factor, therefore even though our efforts are maximal and we have planned perfectly, the results may not necessarily be as expected. therefore efforts must be balanced with prayer, and of course don't be discouraged for those from poor families, in fact that will shape our mentality, remembering that every business has its ups and downs.

Finally, the Golden State Warriors ended their losing streak against the Houston Rockets. 121-116

Yeah, it put an end to their long losing streak, and it's a good thing that Thompson is performing well, especially when Wiggins is struggling. Curry and Thompson are the top scorers in this game, as expected from the Splash Brothers. It seems like the Rockets might be quite tired, considering their continuous traveling and now being on a three-game losing streak. Their last game at home is done, and the next one is against the Suns on the road. I wouldn't expect them to win, though, as the Suns have been playing great basketball. If they can't contain Durant and Booker, I think they'll likely face a tough challenge.

Yes, they ended up winning after that losing streak, good to see Splash Bro exchanging their attacks and really making their shots
it helps a lot in terms of bringing the sparks to the whole squad.

Plus we see everyone really trying to hassle up and help, aside from that high production of Steph almost everyone brings their own shares and provide additional help.

With a long way to go they just need to add more hassle and good ball movement to find that open man to take an easy shot.
210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: November 21, 2023, 10:27:47 AM
We have to make sure that nothing else can have a bad effect on the children during their childhood. In front of children, if we lose money by gambling and lose money, we sit upset, on the other hand, if we earn money by gambling, we are more cheerful, but it will definitely affect the child. A person who gambles in front of their children may not know how much harm they are unknowingly doing to their children. People who do this should be careful now because years from now when your child asks you about gambling, you will have nothing to answer. Everything has a certain age, it's a different matter if your child becomes interested in gambling on his own when he learns to understand but we need to be careful not to have any negative influence on his development during childhood.
Therefore, as parents, we must be able to position ourselves when we are in front of them. We don't need to show we are gambling because after all, they will probably see, be curious, and ask more questions about what we are playing. Maybe if we play cards, they will ask how to play them and ask to be taught, but what is more worrying is if they see a pile of money on the table while we are gambling. They will see it and will probably imitate what we do because they are curious about our reaction if we win or lose. Maybe they will try gambling with their friends using the money their parents gave them. If they get that pleasure, they will try again another time and will do it more often without the adults or parents knowing.

       -  As much as possible, we should not show our children that we gamble. We know that when they see us gambling on our desktop or mobile device and we see them gambling online, we will be surprised. If they suddenly tell us that they saw us gambling online, then we will no longer be role models for them because they will think that we are forbidding them, but we are gambling.

These are just some of the things that we can think of if our children can tell us when we happen to see them playing gambling, because we are also the source of why he developed curiosity. And it should also be properly and correctly explained to them what gambling brings to people.

Indeed, chances that they can use it against their parents is very possible, kids nowadays are no longer the same as kids before,
curiosity and knowing how easy it is for them to learn things without our knowledge.

If you want to avoid the chance for your kids to get involved into gambling, it's better to keep them away or keep any possible sight for them
in terms of any gambling activities that you are participating in.

Not letting them now will keep away any interest, even chances of seeing it online is possible, but without any knowledge it will not attract any interest
in their young minds.
211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not keeping records makes me a bad gambler? on: November 20, 2023, 11:56:30 AM
~snip~
Don't you think it's a benefit that whenever you are back reviewing your spreadsheet with your win or loss data, you will think not twice but more than that before you gamble? Because in my opinion, it's a kind of reminder, not like guilt-tripping or anything, but the reality check on your spending. The real benefit of keeping a record is that you can analyze not only your lose and win record but also your actual financial spending on gambling, and you can verify it with your actual financial savings. And I don't think every gambler should have to keep their record, because if you're not a gambling addict, then you will definitely think before spending.

Yeah, it's clearly a benefit.

But it will most of the time mean that the person will see that they are paying way more than what they feel comfortable, and maybe stop gambling, which is an activity they enjoy.

So, many people just don't want to see that reality because they want to gamble again.

Same with alcohol, if you enjoy drinking it, you won't bother paying high prices for it, whereas paying for other things at the same price would be a big no for the same person.

Human behavior is so interesting!
For me, It's not that important if you track all your records in gambling or not. I'm aware that it will be helpful for some gamblers because they can monitor their total spending amounts most specially if they know their limits and needs to control their money to avoid losing much  but for other gamblers who used to gamble and majority of the time they played is all about losing, It will be a bit frustrating because it reminds them of things that should be forgotten and never looked back on.

That's one of the bad side of monitoring your records, as you will keep remembering your losses and the amount that you will try to recover,
most of the time, a gambler who knew the amount that he had already lost, got that mindset to try and recover.

Factors that will possibly bring you to keep trying, though the good catch is if you know your limits and you can control your emotions, since you
can stop and you can enjoy it if ever that you win some, having those records will let you keep on track and update regarding your finances.
212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 20, 2023, 11:34:22 AM
That Laker game was a close one. I’m glad LeBron made that second free throw to get them the win. After he missed the first I was a bit concerned. After the last matchup with Dillon Brooks I’m glad LeBron got the best of him this time. Crazy close game. Same with the Suns game earlier. Good basketball tonight.

LeBron never seems to age; he scored 37 points tonight. However, if he hadn't made that second free throw, there would probably be criticisms coming his way. I also watched the Jazz and Suns game. While the Suns emerged victorious, it wasn't an easy game for them. The Jazz fought hard on every possession, especially in the dying seconds.

And that's why others have criticized him as he missed a lot of free throws in clutch throughout his career as compare to let's say a Michael Jordan as far as the GOAT debate is. And if James will have to thank to, it will be Reaves who made that big 3, otherwise him missing 1 free throw will mean that it might go into overtime. But overall it was a good game for James and AD and Reaves, but we can't discount the fact that the Rockets have improved this season as they also have their own winning streak. So nothing to be ashamed for Houston as they really pushed the Lakers tonight and they almost steal another game here. Just entertaining Lebron going against Brooks and then him giving the "too small" gesture when he scores against Dillon, so there's no love lost between this two competitive players.

Part of the entertainment is seeing him feeling the pressure, I mean the challenge against Brooks he's showing that he's really taking the matchup
as personal as it can be, showing his greatness and not to disappoint his fans.

There's no doubt that Houston is already improving with Fred and the rest of the newcomers, they're playing with heart and that kind of competitiveness. Unlike last season where they were just playing without any direction and just being inside the court and waiting for the outcome.

They are more competitive, and they are really showing that they can push the game to the point where they will really try
It's hard to win the game.
213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you guys believe in other people luck and try to copy them? on: November 20, 2023, 11:09:59 AM
I think copying bets from other players is a bad idea
Absolutely cause we can not predict the outcome of our bet so it's better to use ours than copying some other works. Anyways as we all know that every put our money as a bet then it will base in our luck and once we are lucky enough then we will win but we don't have our luck then anything from us will loss. In short either we copy others strategy cause they will earn a lot then apply for our shelves then once ting for sure we can't win.

The outcome still unsure, both sides depend mostly on luck, even the strategy may work for some gamblers it doesn't mean that
you can also copy the winning capabilities of the person.

Most of the time, if you able to experience some winning streak you'll lose control and copy all the way, things that can lead you to lose everything back.

Always be cautious with what you think is good for you, analyze and assess your chances of winning before stepping inside and place your bet.
214  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the right age for financial stability? on: November 18, 2023, 03:53:40 AM
Some people, during their youthful years, live a very lavish lifestyle with the money that they are supposed to put to good use, knowing that one day they will grow old. Some people only think that it's when they are growing old, like at the age of 30 and above, that's when they must start to invest or save to invest.

Some people think that they can live a lavish lifestyle as long as they are still 20 years old, and maybe when they get to 25 years old, that's when they can start to invest for their future.
I think it is very dumb to intentionally lavish one’s early stage just because they think of themselves as young. For a fact, you are young, but sooner or later, you’re going to grind for financial stability. Now, isn’t it smarter to do it as early as possible? They say “early to bird, early to rise”. You should start saving as early as possible, start investing as soon as you can because one day responsibilities will fall on you shoulders and how you’ve lived your life is what will impact everything.
We should be prepared to meet the unexpected. Life gives unexpected turns in life and we need to be stable, if something happens. Atleast for this purpose we need to concentrate on making ourselves stable along with the enjoyment when one is young. When we are in a situation to carry our family or to handle responsibility, if we don't have the required fund at that time nothing give hands. Maybe we can get into frustration. Thinking the past days never get us on the track, we need to think and run for the better outcome. As said doing things at the earliest is the best in the fast moving world.

Doing things in a much advance way or time frame if you have that chance is better, like what you said this is a fast-moving generation
and the access to find ways are available you just need to seek for it.

Having a good early start finding your path to be stable financially can be done, if you have such goals in life and you are really keen in achieving it.

It's very possible from those who are seeking and doing their best, though not all can be successfully achieved.
215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 17, 2023, 05:24:25 PM
In a scenario where Lakers gave the farm, like all the picks they could possibly could give, AD and maybe some role players, and get Derozan, Caruso and Lavine, along with Lebron, I do not care who else they have left in that team, that four players alone would be more than enough to be a title contender EASILY. I am not saying they will, we all know that it would be very tough deal, Lakers could easily just trade away some players to get picks from third team, they could just knock on OKC's door, they have like 30+ picks in the next 7 years, they could just grap a few of them, OKC could definitely share some of it, and Lakers could use those along with their own picks they have and AD and role players, its not impossible, and one final push for Lebrons final ring would be possible. If not, this current team is barely playoff levels, would not win a title at all.

LaVine and even Derozan will cost some first-round draft picks which the Lakers do not have. AD in the last few years has been showing signs of being injury-prone, so it'll be very costly in terms of assets to trade him with those Chicago players.

OKC has a lot of future picks but I doubt they'll give up even a single first-round draft at the moment without receiving something worth it. OKC is getting better and it seems they are a serious playoffs team in the next few years. So they might only start trading their future first-round picks when some of its young players mature a bit. Or when someone in their starting position isn't compatible with the rest of the players.

I agree with you, I think OKC will keep their squad and will continue developing their young core
SGA as alpha and the rest will give him the support that he needs to continue being competitive.

Just allow them to grow together and hopefully they will learn from the mistakes that they made before, keeping the young core
and making sure to established trust and good companionship.

217  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop Trading on: November 17, 2023, 03:57:28 AM
People here too easily compare trading with gambling. Trading without basic knowledge is what the bad traders are and they are the traders who will lose money. If the trader is prepared to lose a lot of what he earned, I tend to believe that the trader is probably learning to gain a good knowledge of trading.
Those people who think that trading is gambling are people who go into trading and approach the market with the mindset of a gambler. They don't follow the rules of trading and they jump in and jump out which is not so. Before you should take any single trade you must have a proper plan, that is your entry and exiting point, Take profit and stop loss,  and must have your terms and conditions of taking a trade met and never be in a hurry, trading is a waiting game, when you hurriedly enter the market, most likely you would either hurry out with a lose and that is not how to approach the market.

Exactly, it's not like gambling where you just place your position and wait if you will earn or you will lose your money, there's always a plan using
the knowledge that you have before dealing with your trade.

There are many factors that affects this venue of business, if you don't have any knowledge better to stop and try to spend more time in learning
before you do the trade again.

With that principle, you will add more better anticipation and the accuracy of using your strategy and the patterns that you are following.
218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 17, 2023, 03:41:33 AM

Maybe the package would look like AD + D'Lo + Prince or Rui and maybe future picks. So I do agree that the winner in this trade is the Lakers as what we have seen, AD is injury prone and very fragile that you felt nervous whenever he goes for a rebound and then land awkward and starting to grimace because of some pain he felt going down.

That's something Lakers need to work on, D'Lo and AD + Rui wow that's a huge package though AD is like what you mentioned, an injury prone
asset but if you will offer that trade proposal, plus a future pick not bad for the bulls I guess.

They are not working anymore, with the current squad they are not performing and risking to this kind of trade will help them if ever.

Let see if what future will bring us, especially for both bulls and Lakers fans if this blockbuster trades will take place.
219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 16, 2023, 11:11:44 AM
Is that true that James Harden wanted out of the Clippers in just 5 games? or is this a rumor?
It's said that it's for real but not until it's official, then it remains as a rumor. But you know with these locker room conversations, most of them are real.

Harden just can't accept the disaster he brought to LA. If he gets out and does not help fix the problem, that would result in a bad reputation for him, which is not good considering he is still a high-paid player. So, next time he signs a contract, he might get a lower salary than Westbrook.

What we heard probably is just part of their frustrations. A team that is consistent in the playoffs is currently on a long losing streak. It's really frustrating, but they could end that slump once they beat the Rockets in their next game.

It's in deniable that he brings disaster after being traded to Clippers,
5 losing streaks is something that affects him personally, and yes, chances that it may be true that he wanted to go out might be possible.

Though without any official statement that kind of information can't be validated, a rumor will stay as it is without any valid updates regarding that statement.

They need to figure things out as a team, from the coaching staff up to all the players that are involved to fix the problem and start winning games.

Gambling has it own level of greed but it is very important for it not to be too much.
Yes, that's true, greed sometimes arises when they are not satisfied with the winnings they have obtained so they take various high risks to achieve bigger profits. Football betting like in the picture OP posted can indeed give big profits if we can predict it. and analyze it properly first, but sports betting also has a high risk because the predictions are not completely correct.
therefore don't overdo it when we bet, It's okay to think about profits, but we also have to think about the risks and remain careful in betting so that we don't experience significant losses.

If you can be on the safer side rather than the place where risk is high, though there's no control when greed comes out of you and allure
you to seek out more, most of the time instead of being content with your winnings you ask for more.

And there's where the trick of gambling catches you up and leaves you without any help, your own decision making brings you to the losing side instead
of getting something and enjoying it.

By deciding to push and aim for bigger earnings, it depends on what the outcome might be and how well you know the game that you are betting on.
