2001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Methods that fraudsters use to scam people on: April 09, 2020, 09:48:12 AM
This are very easy way to catch their pray, now that most project requires kyc to be done for proper verification, it is now a common tool for scammers to use lure innocent people into falling victim of their scams, the use of sms is another way, they will send random SMS out about dufferent products from different company's and waiting for anyone will click of the link provided in the sms, then they will strike, people should be more vigilant.
2002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is USDT trusted to use? on: April 08, 2020, 11:12:05 AM
Currently, USDT daily trading volume is over the Bitcoin trading volume and fourth highest market cap according to Coinmarketcap. My opinion is We can't trust the centralized stable coin to keep the money. Also, news around the USDT is not good, and it may be shut down by the authorities.

What is your opinion about the USDT coin?

I use the DAI to keep the stable value & will shift to the SAI in the near future where the money I'm not investing.

Although I can not say I completely trust usdt or not but usually use sometimes to store my funds in exchange since many exchange support it, but recently I read about BUSD in Binance and how it is 100% backed by us dollars, the fourth largest stable coin with a market cap of about $200 million and is also regulated by the new york state department of financial services (NYDFS), I think this is worthy to look at.
2003  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin current situation on: April 08, 2020, 06:01:21 AM
It is not advisable to do any investment with other people's money especially when you have no alternative means of paying them back, whether btc or other investment involves risk and taking the risk means you are ready to bare the consequences,
Best option is to invest your personal money no matter how little it is, what you can afford to lose, this way you don't have heart attack when things go unexpected,
Be your own boss and do what you feel is best and not what others say, btc is good investment depending on your angle.
2004  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people here would choose bitcoin as their form of payment? on: April 08, 2020, 05:42:28 AM
Exactly, volatility would be one major reason many people don't use btc as form of payment, as for me, I only use it occasionally to pay for online services and this is only when there is no option for fiat payment, though it feels good to be able to buy or pay for stuff with btc at the same time we will think about the fluctuations.
2005  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is why I sold my 0.67 BTC!! on: April 07, 2020, 12:18:06 PM
i guess you did what you had to do in this current situation to survive, it must have been a hard decision for you but you must think of what is most important, the only sad part of this will be when you would want to buy back the 0.67 btc, by then the price must have been higher than when you sold, this crises has affected a lot of things especially peoples financial status, wishing best of luck to you and to the world during this trying times.
2006  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee 2020 Prediction on: April 07, 2020, 12:07:09 PM
i don't think he anticipated for this unexpected pandemic that has taken a toll in the life of many, maybe the prediction would have come close to happening but with the recent virus outbreak things have changed, although, i really think his prediction was highly over exaggerated, but, we are just in quarter 2 of 2020 so you never know what surprises crypto has in store for the crypto community, the prediction is for at the end of 2020 he said so lets wait and see.
2007  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin&Altcoins - Fake Investment Products That Pollute the Environment on: April 07, 2020, 11:56:30 AM
i guess that is why it is referred to as digital because you can't see it in reality but only in digital form, i don't think investing in btc is that different from other actual investment like real estate because they both needs new investors to flourish, between there is nothing fake about something is been use for trade and transaction, some other alts coin are now backed by real use cases don't that explain that some are real.
2008  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Browser add-ons are just not safe on: April 05, 2020, 06:57:24 AM
I heard a ledger chrome extension have stolen up to 2.5million in crypto, Users are asked to input their 24-word seed, which allows scammers access to the wallet’s contents. This is why I hate add-ons for chrome or Firefox, they aren't safe at all but how come people are falling for this cheap trick that have been around since years ago now?

⚠️NEVER share your 24 words
⚠️NEVER enter your 24 words into any internet-connected device
⚠️Ledger will NEVER ask for your 24 words

When will people learn?

Not all add-ons are harmful, those add-ons that will require user to input sensitive information should be avoided or properly verified before usage,  but the common add-ons that just assist users browsing experience should not be regarded as harmful, those that assist in learning, writing or performing other important task that don't require sensitive information is not bad imo.
But there are few add-ons that works like a wallet, for example metamask add-on which requires your private key or Mnemonic seed, some add-ons ask for sensitive information for sure, we just have to keep warning newbie but this won't stop them from silly mistakes

I get your point, my point is for OP not to generalize that all add-ons are harmful, I for once never use those add-on wallet even though am not a newbie because I know they are not safe,
Ofcourse there is the need to warn people of the dangers using such add-ons that will require users to input sensitive information, people should be extremely careful, whether it is from add-ons or stand alone app.
2009  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The bounty group is dead on: April 05, 2020, 06:45:35 AM
I worked with bingo bounties before for some bet token promotion, support was decent and payments were always on time, sad to see it go.
Which campaign is managed by petestheman? I used to know him because he successfully managed the Gowithmi campaign, which was a successful campaign in 2019 and it helped a lot of people get a big profit. A few people who participated in the signature campaign even received $ 4,000

Yeah, was very aware of gowithmi, lost my chance with that, instead of staying in the campaign, I left for something else, didn't turn out to be as profitable as gowithmi, I guess in campaigns you never know what will come as success, same thing with managers, they do their best to manage good project but sometimes they get disappointed because the team turned out to be some fake scammers.
2010  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying low selling high ain't always successful on: April 04, 2020, 12:35:20 PM
Buying the dip has its bad side and that's unable to predict market movement You buy the dip, it goes dipper. You buy the high, it goes dipper, you convert to usdt, it starts surging ....I quit buying low selling high for now

There are several strategies to this, you can't just buy low because a project dipped in price.
You need to do more researches and also understand the trade charts.

Engaging in more researches equalling helps.

How funny that sound! Serious how many traders, investors do more research when there is a dip in the market? Tell me, will you do more research when eth price dip, or bnb, bch, ltc btc, link, dash.... nobody actually have time to do any research again before buying, this are very easy to say, people hardly ever put them into practice,
In fact,  it is because we are still partly on bear market,  during the time of bull run, will you do research before jumping into any available dip, the price is not waiting for you, once you miss that opportunity it is gone, I miss opportunity to rebuy bch at $167 and now am hoping it will come back, just hope.
2011  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What the heck is happening to new projects? on: April 04, 2020, 12:25:38 PM
Since I've ranked up to junior member I decide to start my bounty hunting journey and after spending hours on bounty section on this forum I was shocked that no single bounty is of high quality and worth my time, all I see is projects going for crap exchanges like ChainX and another one called leadwallet that wants to raise fund using ChainX and all team members are Nigerians, really? And many members are promoting such project? The good projects are over or I'm missing something?

Aren't there bounty projects that list on gate.io, binance, okex, huobi ? ChainX, p2pb2b, exmarket and others like these exchanges will only drag the project down, are bounty hunters blind or just too stupid to do research?

Just making so much noise, am sure ones you volunteere to foot their bill to list on Okex, Binance..... they won't be in crap exchange, you can be a private investors to any of the project to save them the trouble,
If you see any project that don't worth your time, move on to the next one, no need to use such condescending tone just because a project team came from a particular country,
You have such a foul tongue for your jr member account, you must think you have conquered the world being a jr member.
2012  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The One Coin That Can Compete with Bitcoin and Ethereum on: April 04, 2020, 12:10:14 PM
It will be best if they can at least do something with all this beautiful specifications they have, cardano has been around for some time now and even if I don't follow with it's day to day or occasional update so far I haven't heard any ground breaking news or achievement in recent times, yes we do believe cardano has a great technology but I think its about time we see meaningful progress and price increas.
No need for comparison with btc and eth, they should show their worth first.

2014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CoronaCoin More drama, third exit scam and discord deleted on: April 03, 2020, 08:40:15 AM
It shouldn't come as a surprise, was definitely expected from a meaningless and useless project, I don't even know why anyone will pay attention to such a project,  utilize your time for other meaningful project, to me it is a crime against nature to devote time on such project  Cheesy
I guess qgood riddance to bad rubbish.
2015  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We are having the difficult time, are you still a Bitcoin HODL? on: April 03, 2020, 07:04:12 AM
The whole world is currently facing difficulties at the moment but not enough to lose hope, in life there are good times and bad or not so good times and this particular period is one of such not so good times, crypto is no exception, the market maybe a bit discouraging and look like it will never go back up but it will and so is the current difficulties the world is facing right now, everything will be fine eventually.
2016  Economy / Services / Re: 10 members needed for a signature campaign on: April 02, 2020, 11:56:51 AM
You don't even specify the rank level you require, with this half ass information you put out quality posters in this forum will hardly take you serious, you should follow the right procedure as already being suggested,
Maybe you are serious or not, I could remember same thing happened to bestchange until it was clear to many.
2017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are calling projects as scam when they are in a bear market? on: April 02, 2020, 09:51:49 AM
Different strokes for different folks unfortunately, while some people can handle the period of bear market others can not, that is why we have different view and opinion, and again lack of understanding is another major issue, some investors invest only to see price constantly rising but in reality that can not happen, market will always experience ups and downs to make it healthier,
And what is most surprising is that not only new investors often feel this way, some old timers who should already know how the market operates also behave like this atimes, ones the price is down the project automatically is a scam according their book of scam Grin
2018  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can I earn money during coronavirus? Is it possible by crypto coins? on: April 02, 2020, 09:41:46 AM
You could earn something through crypto during this lockdown period, honestly I always know there will be huge disadvantage of this lockdown, many people will have financial difficulties during this period,
@op if you can join a bounty that is btc payment (which I don't think you could judging by your rank) is a way of earning,
Or join an alts campaign that is already trading in the exchange,
Or if you are familiar with trading but this requires some capital for you to be able to start trading, hope you can find something doing online to ease your financial status.
2019  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BIDAO token, what do you think? on: April 02, 2020, 09:26:05 AM
Just found out about this project not long ago, I have register on their website and from what I can see on the progress bar, they have already made quite some sale, a 5 phase token sale and currently on phase 4, since 2019 token sale has started and will end by October, since this is on Binance chain I guess there will be much hype,
Anyways, always do your due diligence before investing, although an surprise they are doing ico instead of ieo.
2020  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Leasehold -- official first Lisk Side-chain Project! on: April 01, 2020, 12:19:49 PM
~

Good day ,  Leasehold has its very own working DEX where tokens will be listed to trade vs LISK pair straight after launch ,LSH/LSK , this will enable us to self list and no need for a centralized exchange to begin with , however please note our ITO exchange plan is as follows,

5 rounds of distribution in total, 16.6 million tokens per round,
1st Round ITO- Website sale and DEX distribution
2nd Round IEO Exchange to be announced
3rd Round IEO Exchange to be announced
4th Round IEO Exchange to be announced
5th Round IEO Exchange to be announced

It is a good thing that this project has its own dex to kick start with trading, this will be a way of cutting listing fees, but why only LSK pairs, it will be very limited to many traders who would want to trade in different pairs,
And I see there will be an ieo on an exchange yet to be announced, does that mean after ieo LSH will not be traded in this exchange except in your dex?
