1201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: JUST CURIOUS on: May 01, 2021, 08:03:20 AM
seeing top influencers buying into bitcoin and some going public to talk about shows bitcoin is a step ahead in the expected direction. everyone is probably buying and holding to sell at a higher price later. just curious to know how long these guys will hold bitcoin and what price they will likely sell ? is it even possible to know their mind ? but i am sure they are in for long term. what do you feel about this. ?

It is not easy to know anyone's mind, most people who are buying btc especially this institutions are buying for long term, I don't think they have any intention to sell a valuable asset like btc in a hurry when there are many more opportunities in future, besides, if they sell what other assets out there will they invest the funds on!
1202  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you define rich? on: April 30, 2021, 05:54:05 PM
Rich can be perceive differently by people, some people feel having lots of money to afford all the good things in life is richness,  while some very few others sees being rich as having contentment with what little money they have (I.e to be able to afford all the necessary basic things in life without going overboard) and be happy with it,
But in general,  richness is having lots of money and being able to afford perhaps anything that you desire in life.
1203  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase Adds PayPal As Payment Option For U.S. Users on: April 30, 2021, 05:28:41 PM
"Coinbase now allows users in the US to buy and sell bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies via an integrated PayPal account. Previously, users could only purchase bitcoin from the exchange using either ACH or wire transfer via a connected bank account. PayPal-linked credit cards can’t be used, there’s a purchase limit of $25,000 per day for PayPal users and the exchange will charge 3.99% fees."

-It's hilarious to see PayPal come full circle. They banned buying bitcoin from their platform really early on, but it's now apparently too lucrative to ignore.
-Those fees are insane. (2.5% for deposits, 4% for direct purchases).

What do you think is bullish? Will people be using it?

As I have seen a lot of people complaining about the fees and not letting middleman(PayPal) handle the transactions.

Those who don't have any other alternative to buy will consider it, half bread is better than none, PayPal's involvement in crypto is paving ways for more opportunity, am sure some people would not even mind the fees as long as they can now have access to buy btc, it is a good move nonetheless, anything that bring more exposure and easy access to btc is certainly an achievement.
1204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is BNB is at it's peak price? on: April 30, 2021, 04:50:10 AM
Wanna know that should i hold my investment or do day by day trading. And now its at 500$/BNB. Convert them or keep them and wait for pump?

In my opinion you should keep BNB for a month or two the price will go past $1000. They are reducing the circulating supply of BNB and with Binance smart chain you could expect a fortune form BNB investment. Just wait and watch.

Why just a month or 2! Bnb is worth long term imo, imagine bnb price in another 2 years to come! It will probably be trading at current price of eth if not higher,
Recently am seeing the binance NFT Market Place advert in the app which says coming soon, when that happens that could have a direct influence on bnb as well as price, binance is expanding its services on a massive scale and I feel bnb will gain most out of this advancement.
1205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin to look out for 2021 on: April 30, 2021, 04:41:32 AM

You must be joking about that dude. p2pb2b was a garbage exchange site and it will be only listing garbage coin. I know you are shilling BCMC.

BCMC is not even listed on coinmarketcap nor coingecko.
It's too early to make a conclusion about BCMC. We should see that whether this coin backed by something to keep its value or not. BCMC is only trading on p2pb2b and there's no a lot of transactions there.
p2p2b2b is full of bots.

Was surprised to see the guy making reference to this project, I can't seem to understand from which angle he figured this is a project that worth looking out for in 2021 when we have good quality projects out there with low market cap at the moment,
both the project and the exchange are not worthy of attention imo and should not be in anyone's list who cares about quality, bcmc and p2pb2b are write-off.
Anyways, we all have different way of perception so I won't oppose his opinion too strongly.
1206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Student Coin Speculation/Discussion Thread on: April 29, 2021, 01:18:28 PM

I think the concept is excellent. I saw that there are a lot of swaps to this token in Uniswap. What I see is that what happened on April 20? There were many fundholders, and it seems that many investors are coming in with this. It makes me feel like FOMO, too as well....

Wouldn't fomo in too quickly if i were you, i heard that by May 9th all ieo participants will be able to move there stc and probably trade in the exchange, base on the price right now, i have the feeling those early buyers will most likely want to take profit and this can have a pressure on price which will make it to drop down, a good opportunity to buy in,
well am just assuming, things could take a different turn,
However, student has been very impressive with their sale and some development of the project as well, this is means this project can be well sustained long term.
1207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The cleaning room stole my funds on Metamask ($1400) on: April 29, 2021, 11:17:40 AM
Ok I know That I have been trolling with this account recentely.
But now it's real now.

I live in 4 star hotel in Thailand
I had 1000$ in ethereum and $400 in Xcur in my metamask.

It was open all the time on my browser until today its not I am sure she stole that! how my metamask closed? it was open all the time on my brave browser on my extenions.
now it ask me to open new wallet.

I am sure she stole it because she see that I have ethereum Cup and I drink with it.

She must open my laptop and stole my fudns!

Its also took them more than they should to clean the orom today and I arrived after 30 minute and they stil lfucking cleaning!
And I went away again to the roof of the hote.
I am sure they took out my funds.

All my $1400 lost.

Although it is a bit surprising knowing that a cleaner is conversant with crypto to the point of knowing what to do in metamask, if thats what actually happens, then you where very careless with your funds, how would you have mm open all the time? what is the reason for the lock function if you will keep it open for all and sundry! i doubt if you can get your funds back even if etherscan display what wallet the funds where transfered to,
maybe with this experience you will learn to handle your funds more appropriately and secure them as best as you could.
1208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: RUMOUR: Facebook will announce they hold #Bitcoin on: April 29, 2021, 10:59:37 AM
I think i saw a link regarding that news in one of telegram group i follow, someone shared it, although never bother to open and read full content but it has to do with facebook buying btc or so,
if thats true i think it is a huge news again for btc, since facebook intention to have their own token has been onhold i guess they can be part of the space with holding btc,
actually was expecting facebook to make the move long before now, after the paypal annoucement was expecting the news will come from fb, the big players seem to be showing off now,  all the same, they are welcome onboard.
1209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nexon Purchases $100 Million Worth of Bitcoin on: April 29, 2021, 09:46:16 AM

We are asking who's next and I think we got the answer.

Here is the company profile: https://company.nexon.co.jp/en/

The new question now will be 'Who is Next' on the line, Nexion already reveal themselves with the announcement which by the way is a good news to the btc community, more institutions are showing interest in this great technology, btc is making headlines all the time, lets hope this institutions involvemet is long long term, keep the market bullish for the most part hopefully.
1210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I hope others will learn from this on: April 28, 2021, 02:42:16 PM
Holding coins and tokens and not looking back until you start hearing how big crypto market is will leave you in a very bad mood, I'm sure this must have happened to some people here as well, this is my new sad story, I have some moozicore and nxps in holding and I just heard that they swapped to new coins leaving my tokens useless

MZI swapped to MZG
NXPS swapped to PUNdiX

I hope others will learn from this

This happened because you fail to do what is necessary to follow up with update about the project you invested on, holding coin don't mean you shouldn't follow up from time to time to see what is lattest with the project,
there was a coin like that i use to hold, similar case happened to those where not very active in the telegrame group of the project, after severaal weeks of swapping to a new contract, those inactive guys keep coming to complain about not able to swapp and how their investment have gone to waste, but in all sincerity, the fault was not from the team but from the investors who stayed away for so long without tracking their investment.
1211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Major Altcoins Turn Bullish as BTC Surges Again Over $50K on: April 28, 2021, 07:05:14 AM
Yes btc have some influence over alts price movement, even though at the moment btc dominance is at %49.72 according to cmc, still btc price movement always plays positive role on alts when price is up and negative when price is down, eth, waves, bnb, are among such major coins who really turned bullish, infact I was a bit surprised to see waves at $20 yesterday although price has correct down to $18 but was really nice to see this coin pumped that high.
1212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is there any crypto regulatory exist? on: April 28, 2021, 05:01:39 AM
In the case of SEC, they are not a fully crypto regulatory system per say, their only involvement in any crypto related projects is when that project (s) is being described as security which must follow certain procedures before any project can be considered as such,
Crypto in general has no regulatory body to oversee the activities in the crypto space, if there will be in near future is unknown but for now, the space is free of regulations .
1213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sell in May and Go Away. What do you think? on: April 28, 2021, 04:49:49 AM
Of course you are free to do it but always remember that Bitcoin is long term, so don't come here later and cry when BTC will reach new heights.

I'd never sell all BTC that would be an insane move. I'd probably sell 20% at a certain time but still have no idea when this will happen.

Couldn't agree more, everyone is just anxious about what could happen in May and post May, what about if this time things play out differently, no repetition of history and there was no huge market dip as almost everyone is anticipating! Those who sell will probably struggling to buy back at higher price,

I think selling few percent makes more sense than selling it all and buy back higher if things don't go as expected,  am not sure what am going to do yet, I guess when the time comes I'll figure it out.
1214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If Musk doesn't tweet Dogecoin, can it still soar? on: April 27, 2021, 12:52:34 PM
Well if you look at the time when dogecoin started to gain traction and pump, it is safe to say Elon tweets has a huge influence over what has been happening, probably the moment he stop tweeting about dogecoin the hype may reduce together with the price, however, if the price pump is not only as a result to Elon's tweet but as a result of other updates, dogecoin price could be sustained to some extent even if it correct down, although Elon presence has had a huge impact on dogecoin price, that fact can't be denied.
1215  Economy / Speculation / Re: i think we will see bitcoin 44k sooner on: April 27, 2021, 12:33:18 PM
this is not a fud and its not intended to scare anyone or make you dump if you cant hold especially the newbies and paper hands. just to get you prepared ahead of it. lets hope we dont go lower than that else we might take much longer in this dip.

So, what are the purpose of this thread again?
Not to create FUD or scare someone?
IMHO, your prediction is pointless, baseless, and not believable. Not unless you have supported your views with some factual analysis.
Picking a random number to predict Btc's price doesn't contribute to anything especially in this community.

Look at Btc's price

The thread was created when btc was down in price and many people have different opinion on how low the price may go, the @op already said the post is not to scare anyone but just to give a heads up of a possible scenerio what to expect, it seems the pressure to go up is way more than the pressure to go down, right now price has regain much since when the post was made, so there is no need to panic,
Once there is a little correction in price, post like this often come up especially from those who are not use to seeing the market in the dip, it is normal.
1216  Economy / Economics / Re: Tesla Bought 1.5 B in Bitcoins on: April 27, 2021, 08:39:11 AM
I am a bit mad on this news. I don't see it as a "pretty good news". I see them as somebody with indeed huge financial power playing pump and dump games on us, showing others with similar financial power what can be done (if they didn't know already).

In theory I agree that the more such big players come in, the less risky Bitcoin should become, unless they start playing pump and dump games, because there may be insufficient regulation in that area...

Don't you think institutions coming into btc is inevitable!, especially seeing how btc has elvolved over time, i think it was already bound to happen, too much good things where happening around btc that this institutions can no longer stay away, maybe all this while they where waiting for the right moment to come in and 2020/2021 seem to be the perfect time for that,
i can understand your concern, this institution have the financial power to manipulate and play with the market but on the other hand, their investment is also important, it will guarantee sustainability and much growth, for now, we can only hope they did not play pump and dump too much and just hold to sustain the market price.
1217  Economy / Economics / Re: Are institutional investors capable of selling their bitcoins? on: April 27, 2021, 08:21:34 AM

This guys are the top of the list and can i say that list look really robust! Wink  no doubt institutions are getting their hands on btc and accumulating, something i think retailers, individuals should emulate,
An institution like MicroStrategy inc i don't think will sell their holdings just like that, even if they intend to do so at later years, it will be done partially in other not to affect the market price too much, they are at the top of the list and control a reasonable percent, they know what is good for business which means selling may not be part of their agenda at the moment.
It is challenging though to see such list, makes you wanna accumulate evey little sat you can get hold of.
1218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Prices are low, time to buy some good coin!! on: April 26, 2021, 03:43:36 PM
Definately not Sushi, i can manage with the other 2 if i must, am not very trusting when it comes to sushiswap, since that controversy about a rug pull i still feel they are not trustworthy enough, personally, bnb, sov, sol, will be a good option if the market drop on this coins, sol have been very impressive for the past days, same with sov, although unlike the rest, sov is still very new, not even expose to the public yet with a very low mc.
1219  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell your Bitcoins or die - Bitcoin to $5000 soon - Fiat is best alternative on: April 26, 2021, 11:13:38 AM
Sell your Bitcoins or die - Bitcoin to $5000 soon - Fiat is best alternative

Buy Fiat currency and sell bitcoins as bitcoin is hitting $5000 soon. Do not believe on news which claims that bitcoin will hit $1 million or $500K. crypto has no future. crypto is just a real scam. It is just a betting.

How much did you lose trying to make millions overnight? i have been around for sometime to recognize those agrieved investors who lose more than they should to scammers in their effort to make quick money and then come here to shout, if you think fiat is more favourable than btc, then knock yourself out, no need creating a scene or being dramatic about it,
But to me, there is nothing wrong in having the best of both world, you can deal both with btc and fiat and benefit from both of them.
1220  Economy / Economics / Re: Are institutional investors capable of selling their bitcoins? on: April 26, 2021, 08:38:17 AM
Now, a very common logic, which institution would like to buy btc at $100k or even at million dollars when the seller institution is already taking out big profits in fiat by selling their btc to the buyer Institution? Won't that btc be coming with an impermanent loss if the price dumps later? Do you think there is any point where a stagnancy of liquidity or financial crunch may affect the price of btc so badly that it can reverse down like it did in the 2018 crash?

I think what Saylor says sums it all up. I don't think all companies that buy Bitcoin think exactly the same way, but I'm sure most think very much like him. Bitcoin is the best asset you can buy today, number 1. And as such, you shouldn't sell it. Ever. If you need cash, you can borrow, use to cash flow of the company or sell other assets but never the best asset in the world. Whether you buy it at $100k or $1M, it is the most powerful and scarce asset in the world, so the value will continue to grow.

If this is the case, btc price is expected to grow infinity then why so many people worry about little market dump as we have experienced this past few days!
why McAffee prediction of $1 million btc seem odd to many people (it doesn't matter at what year it was suppose to happen), if we all believe btc will continue to grow in price till end of time (because thats what this above staement sound to me) then we shouldn't be concerned about buying at 60k or 100k,

what is the essence of having an asset you can never sell, buying and selling is part of economic circle, if everyone who own btc decided not to sell ever, then the rest people will not be able to buy a single sat Cheesy,  i know btc is valuable asset but the Not to Sell Ever is taking things to the extreme and will not be healthy for the growth of btc.
