1181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chia Cryptocurrency on: May 05, 2021, 03:45:47 PM
...The hype is real and currently it looks easier to buy chia for 20$ than to mine it.

Of course, it would be easier to buy Chia for $20 than to mine it yourself. But the problem is that no one sells for $20. According to https://coinmarketcap.com/ru/currencies/chia-network/markets/ right now, anyone can buy this coin using a centralized exchange at a price of $750. Although everything is possible in the cryptocurrency market, so you should wait for the Chia dump to $20.

I guess the poster must have mistaken this chia for another if there is, i was a bit confuse when he said you can buy for $20 because last time i checked the current price is at $659.33, this coin already high so those who are mining since the begining are the ones in profit, right now mining chia will not be as profitable as in the begining, i only got to know about it only yesterday from a friend, am not sure if it is worth subjecting my device for.
1182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal Experimenting with smart contract !! on: May 05, 2021, 03:29:35 PM
This is still an experimental and test stage meaning they may not actually implement it because a big company like PayPal will first calculate the advantage and disadvantaged of adopting crypto to their platform, if they finally implement it will it be like XRP? that is centralized they will have full control over that crypto.

Why experiment if they don't have intention to implement!, i believe they are thinking towards improving their business structure, ever since they annouce their involvement in crypto, paypal has been looking for ways to make the experiene much better, if they are experimenting on smart contract of different blockchain can only mean they are ready to take the bold step to fully incorporate crypto into their system to enhance wider adoption.
1183  Economy / Economics / Re: Nigeria will overtake India in P2P on: May 05, 2021, 02:03:26 PM
Let's not forget that Nigeria banks, CBN , banned financial institutions from helping in crypto transaction and it's not a huge surprise to me because in Nigeria 70%of the population get their daily bread from crypto and they have to adopt the p2p method

70%! thats quite a high number of people engaged in crypto in Nigeria (if it is true), didn't know people in Nigeria are aware of crypto this much, this is actually good to have more people aware and understand crypto and the power it gives to the masses,
i bet the government never anticipated that p2p will be a huge alternative after their irrational ban of crypto in the country, the ban create an opportunity for p2p awareness and usage.
1184  Economy / Economics / Re: “You don’t spend money now, you can’t spend after you died” on: May 05, 2021, 01:49:49 PM

It’s the best financial advice, covid is the marketing keyword to remind you, if you don’t spend every last penny in the wallet, you can never have a chance to spend that again. Spend until you drop you plebs!

I used to think like you. However I have changed my mind. I am not interested in money for all the niceties that can buy me, I am interested in building a present for those who will come after me. I am talking about building generational safety, wealth and education. Something that can actually transcend my own life and create a different future.

I think that it is ok to buy yourself some temporary happiness of status with you dough... I would rather create something lasting.

As far as this world goes, nothing in it can last forever, even if you think you are creating a secured future for your generation that too is still not permanent, besides, who knows what what form of technology will use by then, nothing in life is permanent the only we can do is spend some part of our earnings for on ourselves and save the rest for future sustainance.

1186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin no longer relevant? on: May 04, 2021, 12:35:49 PM
Is Ethereum and other altcoins taking over and replacing Bitcoin?
If so, how fast will this happen?

Maybe we are about to witness the much awaited altseason, btc have had its share of fun this past months perhaps now is time for alts to have some fun too, that is not taking away the possibility that btc can still pull a fast one, going by analyst prediction btc haven't hit the 72k target yet, there is a possibility that will happen alongside alts bullrun,
if you don't have some alts, perhaps now is the time to pick up some good ones, for if the altseason has been activated, you wouldn't want to miss out.
1187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ether (ETH) Surges to Over $ 3.2K on: May 04, 2021, 12:28:19 PM

Ether “is already years ahead of bitcoin in everything but price and fame,” according to deVere’s Green. “There’s a real sense that 2021 is the year for Ether. Its time has come.”

If the transaction problem is still not resolved, how could this year be the year of Ethereum. ethereum won't pump high as long as this problem isn't resolved. I believe more that this year for BNB. The market is fully supportive of the BNB and the price of the BNB is very strong at the moment.

It seems people are not really bother much about the high transaction on the eth network because even with this problem yet to be resolved the price of eth is not wasting time to pump, eth is widely use and very popular, most investors are hodling eth and this reason why price will definately keep growing, i guess high transaction fee not big enough to pressure price down, the trust people have for eth outweighs every other thing.
1188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Sovryn on: May 04, 2021, 08:03:48 AM
First off, why not give the topic a more attracting heading! just a plain heading like Sovryn not doing justice to the weight of this project, Wink
Right now the talks is on Babelfish launching on the sov dapp, this is the first project to launch on sov so the expectation is high, from what i gathered on the sov dojo trading group it seems the snapshot for sov stakers has already been taken, more info can be found on forum.sovryn.app
it has been an excitment all through being a part of sov, the project may be new but the team have got what it takes to make this project more successful. Stay Sovryn  Cool
1189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you want become Rich from HODL? HODL ETH! Read here for the reason!! on: May 04, 2021, 07:44:14 AM
This is the reason

Quote
Ethereum whales have been on a buying spree since November 2020, currently holding 68.7% of the total supply, while Grayscale has doubled their ETH stack.

Although Ethereum’s price has tumbled by a few hundred dollars since its peak in February, whales have continued to accumulate large portions of the second-largest digital asset. Recent data revealed that large ETH investors own nearly 70% of the total supply – the highest level since late 2017

https://cryptopotato.com/anticipating-ethereum-2-0-eth-whales-hold-nearly-70-of-the-total-supply/

Now, ETH is $1,700. I will update this thread when ETH 2.0 implemented around 1-2 years later and we will see how much profit/loss we get on that time.

P.S there are only 30% Ether on market....

Fast Forward to today i guess now we can see the outcome of this post, seems whale where accumulating eth knowing what lies ahead, Greyscale is also the top institutional investor on btc, now they are top holders in the two largest digital assets in the crypto space, eth is already above 3k and the eth 2.0 is not even out yet, i wonder what the price will be when that happens, before another 1 - 2 years this current will be a low price compare to what eth will be trading at.
1190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana and zilliqa on: May 03, 2021, 03:51:16 PM
What is the differance between solana project and zilliqa ? What is more potential ?

Zilliqa was trying to create a solution for the scalability problem on ethereum while solana wanna built its own ecosystem. I think this should be the main different between solana and zilliqa.
You must try to see the main aim from both of projects. I think that solana is having a better potential than zilliqa.

But till now zillqa unable to achieve that or if they have not many people are aware of it, I remember back in 2017 how some members in the zillqa telegram group where speaking highly of zillqa and believe solana has nothing on them, I guess time has proven to all where the interest of majority lies when it comes to this 2 project,
Solana has built a strong ecosystem with some great project launching in their platform, the price of sol has been fantastic this year, am impressed with solana.
1191  Economy / Economics / Re: Warren Buffett & "Rat Poison" on: May 03, 2021, 10:21:02 AM
...or maybe when he relinquishes his CEO title and hands over control
to his successor he along with the next generation might be a bit
warmer towards Bitcoin.

That is most certainly a possibility,  I think the younger generation that will be his successor will have a lighter approach towards btc than Buffet, he is an old timer and believe in investment that have physical appearance or stand, btc is digital and can't be grasp physically, this is something that Buffet find confusing and can't accept,  I really can't blame him though,  not everyone from his generation gets btc and crypto in general but some just decide to go along with this magnificent technology regardless,
Lol, describing btc as a 'Rat Poison'  is so hilarious  Grin
1192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Uzbekistan legalizes cryptocurrency transactions on: May 03, 2021, 09:47:33 AM
Good and I hope other countries will see reasons why they should also legalize crypto instead of trying so hard to ban it without success,
This by far better than people indulging in crypto Secretly and getting scammed in the process, there will always be a price to pay when each government of respective countries decide to embrace crypto, but if the benefits outweighs the price then why not.
1193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best Way to Carry Your Seed When Traveling Or Moving Abroad? on: May 03, 2021, 09:28:01 AM
How about learn it by heart and make sure not to get too wasted and completely forget it? Indeed not that trivial, there is risk involved with whatever option you go for.
Jokes aside, would one option be to divide up the seed and give it to three people? One maybe even a lawyer or so? Or even 6 people, so 2 times 3. That way you have a copy of it.

Actually I think this is a great idea and lot much safer imo, i don't think it is a joke, if anyone can use a combination of things names they are familiar with on the phrase there is very little chance you will forget this combination, because as much as we try to be care and protect our hardware wallet, there is still that chance of misplacing it some how, but if anyone is able to memorise keys as well as write it down somewhere safe in lock and key that will be even better.
1194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why Binance can be the next e-gold or LibertyReserve on: May 02, 2021, 02:06:16 PM
@op did you really think earning %6 of investment in a year is huge amount to raise concern or result to a crypto bubble burst as you claim!
Maybe you should try out the Binance Earn' and see how lucrative it is,
Cz is committed to his business from what I have observe so far so I don't see why he would consider sabotage his own effort,
Bank is giving 0.2% because they are damn greedy and always have been, it is always about them and not their customers.
1195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warren Buffett Agrees That Bitcoin Is "Disgusting" on: May 02, 2021, 01:42:51 PM
There are many bitcoin critics, that is how I know being rich does not mean to know all, old people will like the old ways, bitcoin is a new way which old people will not like, but as these people are so critic about bitcoin, bitcoin is still making the progress, bitcoin reached marketcap of over $1 trillion this year, even after the so called critics has never stopped criticising about bitcoin, the criticisms are not just the reality, the true value of bitcoin has resulted in bitcoin progressing. Let the critics continue, bitcoin will always appreciate in value.

Buffet fall into the category of those old folks who don't find this new age technology interesting enough to be part of, maybe he feels the whole btc idea is too complicated for him to grasp or just plain mad he does not have control over it,
Using the word 'disgusting' sounds too harsh for something he never spared a moment to understand, admitting he hate the btc success does says a lot though (I sense jealousy). This guy will probably remain negative towards btc irrespective of what success btc achieves.
1196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can DIVI hit $1 after wallet launch & T1 Listing? on: May 02, 2021, 06:14:15 AM
I have been staking DIVI for a while now and hold pretty close to 200k divi currently
The staking rewards are ample enough but it would be great to see the price rise which has been stable for quite a while during the bull run,

They have announcements on line like Mobile wallet launch & T1 listing of the coin, will this have +ve impact on price ??

I doubt just wallet launch is such a big news enough to drive price to such height, if it where to be a big partnership deals with a recognised company that could send the token price pumping high, but you never know with crypto,  the unexpected does happen all the time,
Just keep staking your Divi and accumulate more for, the time it will pump and surprise you will definitely come.
1197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The bull market is back? BTC is 57k on: May 02, 2021, 06:07:07 AM
I doubted your thoughts.  You have made $ 129k on the evidence but are pessimistic in a trend where 70% know it will rebound, the market moves up / down naturally, similar to an elastic band.  compression and elasticity.  I believe in your DYOR and hope you will continue to make good use of your profits.

Very few updates from Shild Dao, you should be cautious and vigilant.  Grin
https://mobile.twitter.com/shielddao
Lots of good projects like $ Banana, check out! https://apeswap.finance/

Yeah very few updates from their Twitter account for a project the op and his group speaks highly about, I even try to click on the link on their twitter account which was suppose to take me to the official website but it seem not to be working,
@op you are very fortunate to make so much profit in this bull run but this time be careful to chose a good project to put that money on, ShieldDao don't seem to have much info except they have other social media channels we are not aware of.
1198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Warning: Don't ever use Coineal exchange on: May 01, 2021, 03:31:33 PM
Dear all,
I would like to warn fellow crypto investor or hodler; do not use Coineal exchange!

I bought 2200+ CVNT dated 17 Mar 2021 (worth $60+ USD) and they announce suspend all trades and withdrawal for mainnet upgrade.
Read here: https://support.coineal.com/hc/en-001/articles/1500004201602-Suspension-of-CVNT-Trading-and-Deposit-withdrawal

They inform the suspension lifted today (30 Apr 2021) after 1.5 month. I've never came across any mainnet upgrade that requires 1.5 month, absolutely ridiculous!
Read here: https://support.coineal.com/hc/en-001/articles/900006905503

To my surprise, there's only 11 CVNT left in my account (now worth $0.3 USD) and was told the upgrade has mapped to the mainnet at a ratio of 200:1. Refer above link.
What a SCAM exchange they are operating!!!

You have be warned! Do not use them or withdraw all your funds immediately if you already have with them!
Take care and good luck guys!

200:1 isn't that too much difference to swap 1 cvnt! I would expect after such huge reduction in circulation that the price have appreciated a lot, even if you have less tokens but the price should have increased in value and close or if not even more than your initial investment,
It most certainly looks shady with the way the swap was carried out.
1199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: UNILOCK [UNL] - Launchpad at a 1.2m marketcap! 10x easy imo on: May 01, 2021, 03:21:09 PM
And what makes you think any project with the intention to rug pull at some point would want to launch in Unilock?
You see a dedicated team who's main goal is the growth and success of a project would not consider rug pull as an option,  any project who does this never hard the intention to succeed, this is the plain fact.
1200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 90% chances if a coin is listed in Binance it has a good potential on: May 01, 2021, 03:07:02 PM
Based on what I noticed this bull run, the majority of the coins that have a good pump this season are those that are listed in Binance, so I come to the conclusion that we should only invest in coins that are listed in this exchange for us to have a chance to maximize our profit.

What's your take on this, am I right or wrong?

Share your opinion.

I know binance is a popular exchange with lots of users and a huge volume to back it up, but other exchanges also gives opportunity for some project to pump in price, exchange like gate.io, Bithumb, mxc Pro, kuCoin sometimes have such project too, but nothing compare to binance I will agree, just the mention of binance alone is enough to build such hype to pump a project to the moon,  however, not only project listed in Binance we must regard as good project, there are others are yet to be on binance but are good.
