1141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SHIB Coin prediction and influencer on: May 15, 2021, 07:35:44 PM
Dear All

I am so confused about why Binance list this SHIB coin. May be there will be master plan. I think in 2025 this will be influnced by someone famous. Ex-elon mask
and bring the price to 0.01$ or 0.1$.

WHAT YOU ALL THINK ABOUT THIS ?

Perhaps yes or no, although I won't be surprise if some big shot decides to promote it through their twitter account Roll Eyes that seem to be new normal,
I mean who ever thought dogecoin will come to be popular and sort out for, nowadays,  shitcoins are heavily promoted just to make a huge profit from it,
You can decide to hold this token and hope something will come out eventually or just buy something worth it, no one can predict what is in the future.
1142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto has become the rich man's playground... on: May 15, 2021, 03:49:04 PM
I agree with this statement it has indeed become a rich and influential persons playground.
And some are enjoying playing with them while others are afraid because of the fact that they might lose what they have if they couldn't play it right.

Yeah, so it seems, cryptocurrency space is a decentralize space which means people are free to get involve, invest as much as they have and probably try to influence the market in a way to favour them,
Having big investors coming to invest can be of advantage and disadvantage, they bring in huge funds which is good for the market and also can influence the market with this huge funds, they are like the necessary evil  Grin
1143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why crypto (bitcoin) is better than traditional money? on: May 15, 2021, 03:27:38 PM
Better in the sense that,  btc (cryptocurrency) has limited supply as already stated unlike fiat that has infinity supply,
anonymous which is a major part of btc and reason why many prefer it than fiat since by using btc you are some how anonymous from the praying eyes of the government,
decentralization which means no central authority in control of the system, no single individual or bodies in control, it is open to all, which can not be said with fiat.
And then you have the ease and convenience to transact between parties without any middle man, when you observe closely, you will see why btc is a more better option.
1144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if Elon musk launches his own coin? on: May 14, 2021, 07:12:20 PM
Without a doubt Elon Musk has a huge amount of followers interested in what he has to say, some of them are influenced by his actions and words (directly or indirectly) and being a business and the second most richest man on earth, Elon is already aware of the power he has over many people, such power can be easily manipulated (the case of dogecoin as example) hence it is possible such thought already cross the mine of the man, and if ever such happens, there will be many people that will support the project, and since Elon understand business pretty well, am sure such alts will do it.
1145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SAFEDOG is new Dogecoin! on: May 14, 2021, 06:56:37 PM
Why some people chasing after all this high risky project that can easily lead to loss of money if proper care is not taken!
Learn from Shiba and the likes, those who still holding shib tokens are left with bags to hold for who knows when it can regain it's price value, this can be seen as a short term quick profit project but if you are not smart you will be left behind.
1146  Economy / Economics / Re: A Sudden Price Drop in The Crypto Markets on: May 14, 2021, 03:36:32 PM
Every drop gives an opportunity to buy the dip, if we are not give a count to all the drop btc has made since the last decade, the list will go on and throughout all this drop btc has always find a way to come back strong, we should be patient for the market because it always recover eventually.
1147  Economy / Economics / Re: Vitalik Buterin donated billions to India to fight Covid-19 crisis on: May 14, 2021, 03:30:39 PM
Such a huge gesture from vitalik, this is how we become our brothers keeper, by lending a helping hand during the time of great difficulties, covid-19 has been hitting hard on some countries and don't seem to be slowing down, i hope with all the support the Indians are getting they will have enough resources to combat this deadly disease, thumbs up to vitalik and many other's who are donating to this fight. what matters is the motive behind it and not the source, people should look beyond that.
1148  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin decline is not related ONLY to Elon Musk! Binance is also related to it! on: May 14, 2021, 03:02:21 PM
Except for binance.us the rest is not in US jurisdiction and doesn't serve US citizens, so DOJ/IRS can shove it. Once again the "land of opportunity" tries to stick its greasy fingers where they don't belong.

Agreed, but, what if the US govt would prove Binance.com mixed US citizens etc.?
They have more money and power than Binance itself, what would happen then?

Remember e-gold.com?

And so what! binance does not control the whole btc in the market, between binance made sure to make it clear what countries are not allowed to be in binance.com, people still find a way to bypass all this restrictions and register (vpn) how can binance be able to restrict those using vpn, perhaps cz should have been a lot stricter to avoid issues like this, i hope binance can find a way around this because the last thing the crypto community need is for an exchange like binance to go down.
However, even the end of e-gold did not bring an end to crypto.

1151  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC in the $xxx, xxx price zone on: May 13, 2021, 12:37:59 PM
Of course you are a 100% sure, you put all in on bitcoin right? I believe that bitcoin will go to that point too but I have to be a little bit pessimistic right now, the prices are a little stagnant this month and I think that this will continue mid-year but hey look at the bright side, more time to accumulate bitcoin to get bigger profits.

There is no need for pessimism here because you know that price won't come so easily,  sure we know that in time btc will bebin that price zone reason why optimism is more should be the right feeling, this is a tech that has performed tremendously over a decade and still has a lot of room to perform even stronger.
1152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla no longer accepts Bitcoin payments on: May 13, 2021, 12:31:18 PM
Now this Elon boy here is playing us like puppets! Bitcoin is now trading at $49k+ after trading sideways between $56k to $58k range. I know this market correction is normal, because we’ve been there before. After Bitcoin reached all-time high of $64k, it flash crashed down to $47k before slowly recovering back above $55k. His announcement alone takes us by storm where the whales took advantage of that crash and starts manipulating our minds and will be buying back at their targeted price.

Elon can make all the noise he wants, btc will always remain strong come what may, there have been worse fud than that of Musk and btc survive it all, prove all funders wrong and shut them up for good, am only sorry for those who believe so much in his ridiculous tweets, his only interest is to make money,  he could be taking advantage of this dump now who knows,  the guy is multi-faces  Grin
1153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin without electricity on: May 13, 2021, 03:48:49 AM
One thing that remains critical to using bitcoin is energy. Energy to mine, and validate transactions. Energy to trade. And energy to access our wallets.
But is it possible, to be able to use Bitcoin even when we don't have energy?

Today, if I run out of electricity at home and want to go buy some batteries, for a flashlight, I can go to a store with some fiat coins and buy batteries. But that would not be possible if you want to make that purchase in Bitcoins. This remains a very good advantage for fiat coins.

How can Bitcoin overcome this problem?

How can btc overcome this problem when it is regarded as digital currency,  and by digital it means something that process numbers or digits which are not represented physically like you have in fiat, which like you said is a disadvantage to using cryptocurrency as against fiat currency,
The only way I see this can be overcome is by having physical btc (if it will be possible) otherwise in a situation where there is total electricity outage there will be serious difficulties to access crypto.
1154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla no longer accepts Bitcoin payments on: May 13, 2021, 03:31:20 AM
I just saw this on a Telegram group and luckily this thread was created,  I must say Elon Musk is the biggest joker there is, his he really serious or what! How the hell he just suddenly dawn on him that btc mining involves using fossil fuel, something that has been extensively discussed and can be found by just a quick search on the Internet,

This guy is very unpredictable,  he is truly a player taking the crypto community for granted, can't believe am reading this, I bet dogecoin is the big alternative to btc lol, well played Elon.
1155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DOGELON, AKITA & SHIB coin Speculation. HIGH RISK HIGH RETURN! on: May 12, 2021, 01:45:23 PM
I didn't keep track of what happened on May 8th, did Elon Musk made the announcement about dogecoin that change the cause of history? Did dogecoin pumped to a new ath on that particular day!
And as for Shib, Akita this i saw on binance announcement page, have no idea Elon has anything to do with either of them till now, that explains why the huge hype surrounding shib especially,  well imo, high risk high reward just like what the op already mentioned,  anyone interested should be sure they are ready to take whatever outcome.
1156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dfinity/ICP Speculation thread on: May 12, 2021, 01:37:29 PM
A brand new project is listed on most of the major deals. This is the project that those who participated in the airdrop at Coinlist in 2018 are expected. IOU valuation on exchanges is currently too high. In this bull run, crazy things can happen. I think that each ICP between $ 10 and $ 30 is a reasonable number. We need to see what this project will do soon to value speculation.

Lol, a project that has it's ath at $700 and you think $10 - $30 is a reasonable number,  why do you think so, is it that the project is too pricy and don't worth that much price? I do think the project has got something to offer, for now investors need to be patient especially with price because I can see it has corrected by half of ath,

I was aware of this project few years back but never keep in touch and has no idea about the Airdrop until recently,  I can't believe the amount Airdrop participants are going to earn from this, if truly they are able to withdraw their free tokens then this by far is the biggest Airdrop of all times.
1157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Charlie Munger hating on bitcoin on: May 12, 2021, 01:00:41 PM
Warren Buffet is 90 years and Charlie Munwhatis 97 years according what I read, both of this guys are old timers still doing perfectly well in their respective endeavours, crypto is completely new to them and not exactly correlate with their kind of business ideas so they don't find it appealing enough to invest, besides,  it is a thing of this generation so perhaps they will leave it as that. I don't think it has anything to do with insecurity, if they had wanted to, they will do so.
1158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Safest way of long term holding on: May 12, 2021, 12:43:33 PM
Agree with @Dabs, don't just store your btc on a cold storage and walk away for long, occasional update yourself with latest happenings in the news about btc will help keep the person up to speed,  anything can change within the time you are absent,
Between the cold wallet storage should be kept in a cool dry place with the right temperature, and always try to inspect it at intervals to ensure it is working properly.
1159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I Wouldn't Invest $1 In Dogecoin And Here Are 10 Reasons Why on: May 11, 2021, 02:42:23 PM
Most of the investors on dogecoin are short term profit chasers, they really do not care about any details except to make quick profit and move on to the next pump and dump, then a few minority of investors are dreaming with their dogecoin investment hoping to make lambo's out of it, unfortunately for them, they might get rekt before that dream come to reality, the moment Elon stop tweeting something positive about dogecoin, it will affect the price big time, and lots of noob investors will learn from the hard way.
1160  Economy / Economics / Re: If we have crypto Why people still buy stocks? on: May 11, 2021, 02:35:58 PM
Some people find it difficult to adapt to change, those who invest on stock are familiar with it, not ready to take risk because unlike crypto stocks are more conservative in nature, crypto is not, high risk and high reward explains the nature of crypto more,
although there is nothing wrong with diversification, since stock is not as risky as crypto investment perhaps is the reason why some people still prefer to invest there.
