I pay for music via iTunes and do not have a problem with Apple making 30%. The problem that I have is most (but not all) artists are not getting the remaining 70%. Some independent artists as well as larger artists with their own label do get most of the remainder, but the majority get less then 10%.
I like the fact that Apple releases non DRM'd music and have no problem with my name being tagged on the files that I bought. I do not intend to copy my library to others and if I did I would run a stripper.
I have contacted two artists that I know personally and so far neither has accepted the offer for me to get them into bitcoin. Maybe in the future they will.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clawback if they are forced into liquidation the administrator can do this including any funds paid to employees like ZhouTong...I think any money he made when selling the site would be included. ZhouTong wasn't paid employee compensation. He transferred ownership of the company in exchange for those funds. So the rules for employee compensation or bonus clawbacks wouldn't apply. In any event, employee compensation clawbacks generally are only available for losses that were incurred prior to the payment of the compensation. The idea is that someone who misrepresents the profitability of a business shouldn't benefit from their misconduct by getting a bonus based on the inflated profits. Nothing like that seems to have happened in this case. In many countries (including the United States) you don't have to prove the employee was at fault. It's sufficient to show that the bonus was paid based on incorrect information. As far as a non-employee clawback goes, generally you can't clawback funds from someone who gave something of comparable value for the funds received unless you can show wrongdoing on their part or the contract specifically permitted a clawback. It's very unlikely that ZhouTong's contract would have permitted a clawback for anything other than a materially significant misrepresentation or omission on his part. And there's no evidence so far, at least as I know, that ZhouTong did anything like that. Of course, we probably don't know anything close to the full story yet. However, anyone who got any money back from Bitcoinica should be aware that this money could be subject to clawbacks. Once Bitcoinica knew that they couldn't make full repayments, they had an obligation to prioritize their debts and protect the interests of other creditors. If they paid some people 100% of the money they held once they knew they couldn't pay back everyone, that could be subject to a clawback. Agreed. ZhouTong is probably safe from clawbacks as Bitcoinica was not in the red at the point at which he sold it. Payments made after the hacks that put Bitcoinica in the red are the issue.

As far as I know, MTGOX has not had any reported losses on accounts with ubikey only and no API access. Is this correct?

Your analysis is not only wrong but straight up defamation. Bitcoin Consultancy LTD is a UK Limited company which is neither owned nor owns any other company. Intersango LTD is a UK Limited company which is neither owned nor owns any other company. Bitcoinica LP is a New Zealand Limited Partnership. Core Credit LTD is a New Zealand Limited Company and the General Partner of Bitcoinica LP. Core Credit LTD was renamed to Bitcoinica Consultancy LTD significantly after the events occurred. If someone actually does file a lawsuit (s) they are simply going to sue all of the above and the individuals involved that live in each of the jurisdictions that they sue in. They will have to file lawsuits in the UK and New Zealand for maximum effectiveness. The way it works in the real world, name everyone and see what sticks. What makes this very different then the other hacks, is that what was stolen as USD.

Since the service tag is unique to the system I do not post that. It also pulls up incorrect data has the original HD (that went bad) was larger.

There is no set way that this works when the terms are not stated in advance. Both ways could be argued reasonably.
No it couldn't. He BOUGHT BTC for USD. That was the deal. x BTC for y USD. Now Paypal blocked/reversed the payment but the debt incurred is in USD. Settlement is separate from the transaction. It doesn't magically become a debt in BTC. No where, no court, anywhere on the planet would find the alternative "reasonable". BitMit owes y USD to his creditors. If he chooses to repay in BTC (which I certainly hope he does) the amount owed is still in USD. I am happy to get USD as originally agreed to. But if you make a trade, and that is what this was, and someone takes back what you traded, getting back what you ORIGINALLY started with is not an insane or even an out of the ordinary demand. Your statement of 'No where, no court, anywhere on the planet would find the alternative "reasonable".' is not correct.

My Payment address 1Kf5qMuQkN3T2dAR4EPeBZREnfy6C7MWAS I sold $540 worth alot less than I thought All transactions will have my business LLC name on them not greenbtc or my name. I want my return in coins as well. I can't trust him anymore. And I want the same amount of coins I originally sent for my transactions.. Yeah... No. It doesn't work that way. If you get your money back in bitcoins, it will be the USD value you are owed converted to bitcoins at market price. If bitcoin crashed, I'm sure you would have asked for USD instead, right? There is no set way that this works when the terms are not stated in advance. Both ways could be argued reasonably.

A passthrough would give about 6.75% interest twice in those two weeks, while you're just offering 10% total?
That is what I am offering. I saw a lower rate on the BST thread of 4.2% for 100 BTC but I see that some do pay more by aggregation. they'd be better off with bitcoinmax.com... ...which would return 57.13805 ok. understood. Hard to compete with that!

I will take up to 50 BTC from a willing individual. If the famous pirate in the forums pays interest as normal for the next two weekly payments and allows withdraws as normal, I will pay back the BTC with 10% extra (55BTC) two days after the pirate payments go out. If the famous pirate defaults, does not pay out BTC as normal or does not pay people who are withdrawing BTC as normal, then I keep the 50 BTC. YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR BTC BACK! In other words, this acts in a similar (but not identical) way as if you deposited with the famous pirate directly. After this period is over, I will not continue the processes so 'long term' people look away.
I am NOT depositing any of the BTC with the famous pirate or any of the other pass thru arrangements.
Any takers?

my suggestion:
thebitman says that he has some $ back from paypal already. Just use bitinstant (via cash if you can), get BTC and send some to us. While we all want the full amount, some part would show good faith and will will help calm some of us.
Send mine to:
