2001  Economy / Speculation / Re: In 2018 bitcoin might collapse... on: January 21, 2014, 11:39:37 PM
let's cross that bridge when we get there.
2002  Economy / Speculation / Re: $5k shortly, you know it as well as I on: January 21, 2014, 12:45:14 PM
I just bought 50k dog coins Cheesy already set the gradual sell orders as it's in a clear bubble right now. get rich quick!

As for 5k$ prices, it's inevitable. I'm not even anxious about when it happens because I would use the profit from such increase during the Summer 2014 and not earlier. Not to mention that Mars comes before Summer. Why? Because not only does the price conquer new orders of magnitudes periodically but the frequency of these surges is also increasing in time. It has to because that's the only way an S-curve can form on a long term weekly chart:
2003  Economy / Speculation / Re: Tipping Point on: January 20, 2014, 07:46:26 PM
all this dogecoin hassle makes me almost think that it could be worth investing into some although I hate clonecoins.
2004  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - Price on vertex of the wedge. on: January 20, 2014, 12:02:11 AM
And it breaks out from these borders, heading to the thousand 956$ currently at gox
2005  Economy / Speculation / Re: Important dates 2014 on: January 18, 2014, 10:18:08 PM
I was told there was a moon out there somewhere, haven't heard from it in a while... c'mon people lets make it happen!  Cheesy

Moon already happened, Mars is next.
2006  Economy / Speculation / Re: Important dates 2014 on: January 18, 2014, 09:41:17 PM
I had a strange dream last night. I was visiting some sensitive who was to give me hints about the future. I asked her about Bitcoin and she said that 2014 is going to be a good year for Bitcoin but 2015 will be the year when shit hits the fan. By that it was meant that the banking system will crumble into dust and all kinds of stuff will happen. Anyway, 2015 is pretty far away right now so who cares Tongue
2007  Economy / Speculation / Re: Fractional reserve exchanges and other entities on: January 15, 2014, 11:02:42 PM
Fractional reserve banking with bitcoin is not as bad as with fiat money that can be printed to infinity Cheesy
2008  Economy / Speculation / Re: Proudhon...can you please send me 1 BTC as you promised? on: January 15, 2014, 11:01:13 PM
And besides, it's only a matter of time before we get confirmed news from sources that the governments of the world will imprison anyone who holds bitcoin. Really, I'm just looking out for myself.

Holy shit. I don't want to go to jail! What should I do?

Is it plausible to say that although blockchain and bitstamp could prove that I have had bitcoins I currently don't have any because I accidentally lost the private keys?
2009  Economy / Speculation / Re: Its going down in a few hours on: January 12, 2014, 09:58:12 PM
wtf is this Karhu shit, you can't force a meme so stop this nonsense you noob
2010  Economy / Speculation / Re: I own BTC and part of me doesn't want it to reach $10,000 because on: January 06, 2014, 10:51:26 PM
Oh, that "*** BTC" car number plate idea is totally cool Cheesy I must do it too

OP you have not beaten the game of life, even if you get your bitcoin millions you will still face many challenges. money solves nothing, only opens new opportunities for your conscious to expand and express itself. to me bitcoin wealth is more of a jumping board than beating the system. I will still have to find the true love of my life and continue evolving into a better being.

However, some dude previously said it already but I'd like to emphasize it: with bitcoin wealth I can work on my own software projects and do stuff that I am passionate about without having to put all of my creative energy into the system that has enslaved us all.

2012  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price over $1000 now. on: January 06, 2014, 09:14:05 AM
Last ATH and the following correction was just a premature ejaculation in bitcoin terms. Real bubble is slowly but surely forming in the background. We're on the same parabolic rise course that was started in October. Expect Mars soon.

Unfortunately http://stratum.hhtt.1209k.com:9332/static/ is currently DOWN!

Hey fireduck, what's going on?
He's closing the pool.

I don't mean HHTTMP, I mean the new pool he opened, the P2Pool.

closing the pool

Hey, man. Great pool you had. However, WTF is everyone whining about you closing it, the new p2pool node you run is way better idea! I'm speaking of this: http://stratum.hhtt.1209k.com:9332/static/
I've already made 0.03 bitcoins in that pool and it has been online just a couple of days now.
Maybe I'm missing something but that page doesn't even look complete and how is one supposed to mine off this "new pool" let alone see the hasrate as a whole for said pool ?

It's fully functional, please refer to this: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/P2Pool

All the JSON stuff is working so that I was able to modify my ASIC monitoring script, the pool just found the 3rd block today!
2016  Economy / Speculation / Re: Losing all hope on: January 03, 2014, 04:52:28 PM

Wow. From the way you described it, I thought you came from a former member of Soviet Union.

I'd always thought of Denmark as one of the more civilized countries... liberal social mores, strong social safety network, Nordic Model democracy, etc.

I guess I was wrong.

You were not wrong. Denmark is absolutly ok.
Ibian is one of the butthurt immigrants unwilling to do something. He should go back, where he came from.

These damn immigrants. I'm happy that Estonia is a cold, poor and racist enough country to keep away these parasites. I would move even farther to the north where is even more cold so that people from warm countries wouldn't want to slack around where I live. You can't just come here and start living in a TV box because you would freeze to death. I believe that's also the reason why southern Europe has so big immigration problem.
2017  Economy / Speculation / Re: Losing all hope on: January 03, 2014, 03:43:14 PM

Be happy to have fiat at all to buy these precious bitcoins because many die hard believers just struggle to make their ends meet and can afford only to invest 100 euros to bitcoin. My friend would have seriously taken loan from bank exactly a year ago just to buy bitcoins but no bank gave him loan because he doesn't have a job or anything, he's living in his parents' cellar.

He should get a job... Don't do anything and want money to speculate?
Grow up, get your own money and become rich.

Poor people complaining about beeing poor and don't do anything about it -> make me sick!

Yes, he is quite a slacker. During the time bitcoin was 4.5$ each I was working my ass off while also getting a diploma Cheesy, so I pretty much share your view on this. But then again, you can't judge a book by its cover, I believe there are people who differ from you just by not being in the right place at the right time. is this their fault too?

I was lucky to discover bitcoin exactly at the time when I was working and had a lot of fiat just lying around and guess what - the friend who introduced me bitcoin is a total slacker living with his parents and just wanted to buy drugs with bitcoins except he didn't have any money so he told me about this great technology.
2018  Economy / Speculation / Re: I Concede on: January 03, 2014, 03:14:21 PM
I bought in at $448 on the dip a week ago.

Sold some at $630 because I thought it was topping out.

Sold more at $730 because I thought it was topping out.

I am now buying less coins than I had originally and cold storing them in safe locations and trading zero for a year.

Someone please tell me this is a good idea so I can get back to my normal life!!! I'm tired of looking at charts!

Exactly a year ago I put all my bitcoins on paper wallet and hide the wallets far away from where I live just to protect myself from my own stupidity. You're doing the right thing. I lost 130 bitcoins in satoshi dice and bought a Butterfly Labs ASIC for 140 bitcoins, so in that sense I lost quite a lot and putting the remaining coins away was pretty smart decision Cheesy
2019  Economy / Speculation / Re: Losing all hope on: January 03, 2014, 03:07:04 PM

Wake the fuck up. Either you BELIEVE IN BITCOIN or you DON'T. I believe and I was buying all I could under $600.

+

you newbs make me sick:
1. you are way too greedy
2. you don't believe in bitcoin
