2021  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: I got a centrifugal fan - Can anyone provide guidance on wiring? on: July 06, 2011, 03:47:27 PM
good choice on the fan... drum fans are the best bang for buck, the static pressure is ten times better than any bladed fan out there..

2024  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The fake bid wall at $12 vanished...now watch the one at $11 vanish. on: July 05, 2011, 08:12:08 PM
Looks like someone is propping up the market, they are trying to raise it back up. I wonder how long it will last?

I don't know, but I think I might sell and buy back at like $9, it might go lower than that today, but I don't expect the dip to last that long, I think all this BS is being caused by the pools being fucked with and not much more.

Yup, a cool $4 will be ensuring I get some fast food today.  Let's to do it people Smiley

2025  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ALERT: You have 5 days mtgox on: July 04, 2011, 07:55:09 PM
weird stuff...

I didn't have an astronomical amount of usd or btc at the time of the hack... but after the 4-5 day period of delays and what not I was able to log back in and my account was intact w\ the proper btc and usd amounts it had prior to the hack.

People need to cut mtgox some slack.  OBVIOUSLY... they're seriously understaffed.  The influx since april-may into the btc community has been huge and they weren't ready for that.

They probably have thousands of unread emails in their inbox and probably have to waste lots of time helping people with user-error type problems.

I will continue to use mtgox even if I am pissed that my email address is out on the web for the world to see and try to brute force any other accounts I have w\ that email address.  Luckily I use different passwords everywhere and my mtgox one was secure enough to not be cracked right away.

Anyhow, I'll just end my rant right there.

Have patience.  XOXO

Welcome to the 25 percentile.. I own a PS3 so im a member of the 50 percentile group...  Wink
2026  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whats so important to moving a decimal? on: July 04, 2011, 07:42:08 PM
It's my suspicion that having 'one' Bitcoin in the same range as the USD, esp. when it is 1.5 to 1 usd, it will be more approachable to the common man. Of course decimal placement doesn't matter mathematically, but we're talking about psychology here.

Now thats a good answer, and the only real reason I see for it..  or that remotely makes any sense

So its more about gain then ?  about  moving a decimal for existing coins on hand..  well that sounds greedy..

Hmmm
2027  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Whats so important to moving a decimal? on: July 04, 2011, 07:36:23 PM
Why does everyone bitch and whine about moving it ?

I have NOT put much thought into it, but personally, who the f cares ?

Why would it help ? or hinder ?  or even matter?

2034  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on the exchanges on: July 02, 2011, 10:58:09 PM
Mt gox is good because of the volume.. and I agree with the format of stats.. every exchange has one piece of picture missing, no one has the whole..  I've been using a canadian exchange, as well as all three you mentioned..  the canadian one being the best due to the ease of withdrawing and depositing.. speed of it and so forth..
2035  Economy / Trading Discussion / Canadian Virtex exchange is fully live now..(out of beta) on: July 02, 2011, 08:46:37 PM
I dont have any affliation with them, just wanted to tell some fellow canadians about www.cavirtex.com

They are out of beta now, and ready for biz. I have been dealing with them for the last month, and I have no issues with them, a bit impressed actually..  I dont think a lot of people know of it.. so, a little volume wouldn't hurt right ? Cheesy
2036  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Miners quitting en masse -- so it begins. on: July 01, 2011, 12:22:04 AM
Angelus, what crack are you smoking?  Network power is up to 14TH (+3 TH since yesterday alone) and it's been going up steadily for a while.  So, maybe you're seeing a few people here and there drop out, but there's certainly no 'en masse' trend of people leaving.

Why do you keep trolling with posts telling people how awful mining is?  If it's that awful, why are still here and doing it yourself? Smiley

+3 TH!!! on this one..
 Cheesy
2037  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: bitcoinity.org/markets - live mtgox & tradehill charts on: July 01, 2011, 12:07:33 AM
I solved my issue with not seeing any charting with explorer, I just use chrome to view your page..

I have to say also, very good looking page...

I'll be donating to your whiskey fund soon.. Smiley
2038  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Data proves Bitcoins are rising to 1000+ on: June 30, 2011, 05:48:11 PM
A proper reading of Trendy the BitSnail indicates that he's holding prices at around $17 (as marked by the centre of his deflationary-spiral shell)
but if you follow a line from his eye stalks just above his shell - he has a slightly longer view of about $34.

Who wouldn't take market advice from a bullish snail!?

I see stability at the eyeball/antennas...  25 ftw

When I look at the picture I think one of the connectors wasn't aligned correctly.
And when you look at the upper left connector it even looks like 2 pins are bended because there isn't a hole where they fit in.

I also think you messed this one up yourself, there are multiple loops in a slot..  looks like you shorted out your pwr supply +v
