If you want to catch up with the latest ridiculous, laughable conspiracy theory nonsense,
simply, search for a Tzupy ..EXCLUSIVE: ... BREAKING: ...   link.

Click, shake head and chuckle....

Interesting, Tzupy never posted in politics until last month, wasn't active for months before that, and before that only posted in speculation.

Since December though, it's been only P&S, all kraken/qanon/covid denier posts.

Hopefully people are waking up and qanon has peaked.   Hell of a year 2020 was for conspiracy theorists, but it's time to come back to reality.

2064  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Joe Biden is President of the United States of America on: January 28, 2021, 07:29:25 AM

The lights are out, 4th night in a row.
Hello anyone home?

https://myfox8.com/news/washington-dc-bureau/heres-why-the-lights-were-out-at-the-washington-monument-on-sunday-night/

Here’s why the lights were out at the Washington Monument on Sunday night

“The lighting outage at the Washington Monument was caused by the failure of the timeclock that turns the lights on each evening and off in the morning. While the faulty timeclock is being replaced, the lights will be operated manually to ensure the monument is lit each night. We are not aware that the White House lights were out last night.”

STATEMENT FROM MIKE LITTERST, CHIEF COMMUNICATIONS AT NATIONAL MALL AND MEMORIAL PARKS

While some online users reported the White House going dark as well Sunday night, NewsNation’s Washington bureau confirmed the White House lights go out around 11 p.m. ET nightly, and it is not unusual.

Yes but why would the lights go out nightly at 11pm if Biden wasn't planning to sell America to communist China?
2065  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [BET] Trump or not Trump 2020, eddie13 vs suchmoon on: January 28, 2021, 07:25:09 AM
IMO Giuliani was trying to discredit Biden's Presidency, similar to how the Steele dossier was used to discredit Trump's Presidency. In both cases, innocent people were caught in the crossfire.

Giving Rudy a pass bc of the Steele Dossier is pretty weak.

The reason you think the Steele dossier was a joke is the same reason those people stormed the capital and millions of people believe the Trump actually got more votes than Biden.  Trump repeated it over and over and over, and so Republican lawmakers and the media repeated it over and over and over.  and so you repeated it over and over and over.

In reality, there's far more disinformation about the Steele Dossier than in it.  A lot of it has been confirmed, including the most important point - that the Russians were planning to influence the US election by helping Trump win. Most of what hasn't has confirmed has been determined likely true.

2066  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 25th Amendment after Trump supporters riot in the Capital on: January 28, 2021, 05:21:29 AM
Considering there were not even any demonstrations, it is fair to say the 25,000 troop level was excessive.
No it's not.  It's illogical to say that.

The point is to reduce the chances of anyone attempting anything to as close to 0 as possible, not have just enough soldiers to win a shoot out.

+1 to this.

Not sure why it even matters the amount of troops that are in DC (on a relative level) — We literally just had thousands of people overwhelm the Capitol police and storm into the Capitol building. It’s not like Joe Biden is personally ordering these people to arrest his political enemies — it’s just for protection of the Capitol and those inside.
It was actually hundreds of people that stormed the capital, not thousands.
Sure only part of the mob actually went into the capital, part of it remained outside assaulting journalists and fighting cops.  There was also the guy with the molotov cocktails.  The bombs outside the Capital.  The bombs at RNC and DNC.  Remember when the guy with the Trump van sent pipe bombs to all those liberals Trump declared enemy of the people?  Or the plot to kidnap the governor of MI?

Imagine what your response would be if BLM or radicalized Muslims had done any of that instead of a group that supports the same politician as you.

I believe the purpose of the military presence is to prevent protests in response to Biden's widely unpopular agenda.

To put things into perspective, there were several hundred national guard troops sent to DC in June to help with security when the riots were actually ongoing, and many times larger than the riot on January 6.

It was actually ~3,000 national guard troops, plus law enforcement from various federal agencies, another couple thousand active duty military troops stationed at Andrews.  Which reminds me, I don't remember you speaking out in defense of the right to protest when the President had hundreds of completely peaceful protesters gassed and hit with rubber bullets so he could walk across the street and take this picture:
I have a feeling you'd have something to say if Biden did something like that though.

Really it's not a fair comparison though.  Even if you totally exaggerate the BLM riots and down play the White Supremacist terrorists, there's still only one group that wants to kill/kidnap elected officials and over throw the federal government.

Another way of looking at current troop levels in DC is that we have more troops in DC than we do in Iraq and Afghanistan combined. I don't think any serious person believes we need more troops in DC than we do have fighting ISIS.

This would be a fair comparison if thousands of Americans joined ISIS (making it a domestic threat) and stormed the Capital earlier this month and were planning on attacking the inauguration.

But that's not the case.  We can take out whatever target we want from 10,000 feet in the middle east, not so much when all the highest ranking elected officials (besides Trump) are standing on the steps of the capital.
2067  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Joe Biden is President of the United States of America on: January 28, 2021, 02:42:30 AM
they could be fired.

the actual workmen could be fired. yes budgets have been handed out to the management and trying to recoup that is lost in the ether of off shore accounting. but biden could have just cancelled all contracts and offered nothing for the bottomline workmen.

and the funny thing is even without firing anyone. seems republican media will still stir the PR that they got fired. so in the end PR is meaningless as a concern.

its better to not actually fire them and when the dust settles people can in retrospect just see republicans as the liars they are.. basically making republicans fall on your own swords by fighting themselves over their own lies

Falling on your sword doesn't really do much after the first 7,000 times.

Biden's insane woke policies are quickly alienating suckers... sorry, I meant his poorly informed female voters:

Left Joins Conservatives in Uproar over Joe Biden’s ‘War on Women’
https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2021/01/26/left-joins-conservatives-uproar-joe-biden-war-women/

Nobody cares but the usual, permanently panty-bunched right-wingers, increasingly desperate to take attention off the utter collapse of everything they stupidly put their faith in.

Funny how you are now proclaiming feminism to be a good thing. Seems like that's not the usual talking point from you incels on the far right.

This is thinly veiled transphobia.  All he did was reinstate Obamas mandate that Trump removed that gave transgender people protection under the civil rights act.

Just like when they clutched their pearls screaming "Biden killed thousands of jobs!" when he stopped construction on the border wall and Oil pipe line - they aren't even honest about what they're bitching about.

A Scientist Finds Something Shocking In CDC Covid Stats
https://uncoverdc.com/2021/01/25/have-400000-americans-died-of-covid-19/

Wow that are insane high numbers. There can be so many things wrong with the batch of vaccines because the handling for the Pfizer drug is so dificult. I think we need better controls to see if the vaccine is not harmful and if the people are fit enought to actually get the shot, since most of the people are above 80 years at the moment and don't have the strongest immune system in the first place.

The post above yours pretty well debunks those articles.

Meanwhile Antifa keeps going crazy...

Antifa is not an organization, it a decentralized ideology. Antifacist Action is the name of one of the the small groups that were there if you want to actually be accurate. It was founded in the UK in 1985 and has no direct affiliation with other small groups founded in the USA that have the word "Antifacist" or "Antifa" as part of a longer name. What you and the main stream media don't seem to realize is that these protests/riots are comprised of many small groups with different names and agendas.

There is some irony in Trump deciding that his followers will believe Antifa is to blame for all that is bad and he alone can protect them.

But yeah, you aren't going to convince these guys that Antifa is anything other than what Trump said they are.

The travel restrictions won't stop it, it doesn't mean they won't help.  Politicians lie, yes, but this is not an example of that.  (You realize these are restrictions Trump put in place and only recently lifted, right?)

Not sure what you're trying to say, but you remind me of a small child complaining about having to go to bed because his friend is allowed to stay up late.

Why does the most popular president have so many down-votes?

He's not the most popular president.  Also, 22,000 downvotes don't mean much with 640,000 views 306 electoral votes and 81,000,000 votes from Americans to be president.
2075  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Joe Biden is President of the United States of America on: January 25, 2021, 01:07:58 PM
For anyone wondering what it is.
It is Hunter Biden voice audio accidentally overplayed Biden speech. He states he took a plea bargain, a bird singing like a canary…

No it's not, dummy.

Why is it still not fixed? Is it not a matter of urgency to fix such a screw up?
Do something, ring the WH and tell them urgently.

Why did you say it was?

2076  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump Pardons on: January 25, 2021, 01:05:42 PM

So that probably means that Ulbricht will stay behind bars for the rest of his life. Assange/Snowden still have some chance as there are enough mainstream politicians showing their sympathy towards them. Ulbricht's case is different and Trump was probably the only one who could have considered to pardon him. Feels bad, because he's in his 30s and unlike Assange or Snowden, people seems to have completely forgotten his case.

Agree.

What a depressing day that must have been for him.

I guess his best bet now is that at some point in the next 50 years they decide to reevaluate those serving hard time for non violent crimes.

You're linking me to walls of text instead of directly answering the question because you know very well that you couldn't answer the questions alone, and the reason is because they're using arbitrary data collection methods.

Cliffs:

You claimed ACLED uses arbitrary data collection methods.
I provide you with a link to the "ACLED Methodology and Coding Decisions around Political Violence and Demonstrations in the United States of America"
You refuse to read it.
You conclude that you were correct about them being arbitrary and I provided the link because I know you're right.

Forgive me for not wasting my time and reading their data collection methods that's 20 pages long.

Nothing wrong with not reading it, unless you're going to go around making claims about their data collection methods.

You're right, I won't read it, because it's full of shit which is why you're afraid to answer any of my questions directly. They don't use objective methodology at all. If they do, provide me the exact answers to my questions. I'll even make it easy and put them in a neat list.

1.) What objective method do they use to categorize something as violent. (Someone spitting on someone is violence, someone committing a mass shooting is violence. Does their model differentiate these two events, and in what way?
2.) How do they differentiate between the severity of violence?
3.) Where do they get that data from?
4.) Do police departments disclose the amount of resources used at riots to quantify the violence to Acledata?
5.) How do they objectively verify how many violent participators are at these events?
6.) Does a protest in a small town that resulted in no violence scale appropriately to a riot in Portland or Minneapolis? Or are they equal in weight?

I look forward to you dodging all of these questions while thinking of some petty insult as a diversion so at least be creative and make me laugh.

Did you forget I already showed you where to find the answers?  Or are you really asking someone to read it for you and then write up a report?

Because it's a terrible take to assign arbitrary percentages

They aren't arbitrary percentages.  The ACLED is transparent in their methodology and explain it in excruciating detail. https://acleddata.com/acleddatanew/wp-content/uploads/dlm_uploads/2020/10/ACLED_USAMethodology_2020.pdf

Every different type of event, how they code it, what the definition of 'violence' is, what makes something an 'protest', 'counter protest' or 'riot' or 'demonstration', how the data is collected, what tools they use, all of the raw data itself - all of it is public.

Seems like you're intentionally making it difficult to continue the discussion.
