And someone said that Sporting is already out of race for title. Yesterday's Porto loss shows that's way too early to make such conclusions. Incredible stats - Rio Ave won against Porto after 36 unsuccessful attempts in a row. They were leading 3:0 after 1st until almost end of the game what is even more incredible. Porto scored when it was already too late to make comeback. They also missed penalty.

After previous season ,ow it's such relief to watch Barca. Confident win against Valladolid without any questions. Lewa indeed was close from hat-trick, but actually ended with just one goal that he actually scored. Second - last touch was by defender and on third moment he hit crossbar and then Roberto scored. Barca made most of attacks through Dembele's wing and Valladolid weren't able to do anything against it. LOL Sevilla!
If you guys ever need proof this club is cursed in the way they don't want themselves to ever win La Liga in the next 10 years, last night is proof of it.

Championship was already over before summer break. Max started from P14 today, but winning today was so easy for him that's not even interesting. With Red Bull pace, P3 for Sainz is best what he was able to achieve. Ferrari didn't failed in strategy today, but things can't go well for them - Leclerc got penalty for speeding in pit lane on last pit stop and lost P5 that he got in last lap after overtaking Alonso. Poor Bottas, his race ended after accident with GOATifi and he had no chance to avoid it. And Alonso radio message about Hamilton was epic - ''This guy only knows to drive starting first'' . |

I watched Sporting game against Chaves. They controlled game, but didn't managed to score. Like that wouldn't be enough, they conceded 2 goals in 3 minutes and then winning game become almost impossible for them.
But saying that they're out of title race just after 4 rounds is a bit ridiculous. Yeah, they lost to Porto already, but there is so many games between Big 3 teams remaining. Also, things may change when calendar will become more intensive with UEFA and domestic cups.

Red Bull have much better pace than Ferrari and it means a lot in such track like Spa. It's good news for Max who will start race from back of grid, overtaking won't be a problem. I only don't understand why Max on Q3 didn't went to help Perez and give him slipstream. The summer break changed NOTHING for Ferrari, I mean they put on wrong tires on either Charles or Sainz I forgot which one but that is basically the same old idiotic pit team from Ferrari, that is just not acceptable at all.
At this point I am expecting Ferrari to one day have wet tires on left rear, hard on right rear, medium on left front and softs on right front, does it sound like a joke? It does, but would anyone be really shocked that Ferrari ever did something like that? I wouldn't be really. This is why I guess that Red Bull would have a very easy chance for championship this year, Max and RB will be the winners until some serious competition comes along.

When City where down 0:2, I still had much confidence that they are going to make comeback. After all, they have experience in such things. And C. Palace just parked a bus, what doesn't always help against City. Foxes looks so poor this season, loss against Chelsea which played with 1 men down most part of game. West Ham won against Viborg big again. Fiorentina eliminated Twente. Villarreal didn't letvHajduk to make comeback and won again. So, after all, teams from big leagues reached groups.

Zalgiris - Ludogorets, what a game, unfortunately without happy end for me. Zalgiris scored very early goal on 20th second, were leading 3 times. But on 120th minute of extra time referee gave very cheap and questionable penalty which let Ludogorets to win on aggregate.
Complete collapse of Gent, they lost against Omonia 0:2 again. Fenerbahche had easy life against Austria Vienna. Sheriff won against Pyunik just after penalties. Olympiacos after all won against Apollon and reached group stage. Early goal on 2nd minute was enough for them.
EDIT Olympiacos conceded on 90th minute and game went to extra time. And Oly won after penalties.

Group B is most interesting, especially because Lewa will have to play against Bayern. Poor Plzen, if they somehow will collect 1 point, it will be huge achievement. While group D is more like Europa league. Liverpool like usual got in difficult group. After all, most groups have 2 favorites, one team which have potential to fight and one clear team which is out of context. I think some kind of thing needs to change in the drawn for the group stage for UCL, because as you can see, a lot of group are already defined, only and maybe can change the first and second place, and we can hope for one cinderella, but not so much.

Personally I don't see serious arguments of Austria Wien that they can offer against Fenerbahche. I'm going with combo of Fener and Olympiacos wins. Oly is struggling this season so far, but I think that simply must beat Apollon at home. I think that Gent will win against Omonia, but I'm not really sure that it will be enough after loss in 1st leg 2:0.
I'm backing Zalgiris against Ludogorets. Yeah, Im biased here, bbut I don't see why not. They lost 1st leg just 1:0 and Zalgiris is playing much better at home.

PSV failed to reach Champions League again.They played a bit better, had more chances, but it wasn't enough. After long break there will be 2 Scottish teams in Champions League group stage. Dinamo Zagreb - Bodo/Glimt was fun game. When it looked that everything is going well for Dinamo, Bodo managed to make score 2:2 on aggregate when one their player managed to go through 3 passive defenders. But in late minutes of extra time Bodo defense made big mistake, goalkeeper tried to save situation, but completely lost his position. Dinamo scored 4 goal then after perfect transition. It was epic moment when Dinamo players from bench runned alongside pitch like offside referee . Trabzonspor - Copenhagen game ended 0:0 what means that Danish club qualified for the group stage and now we know all teams that will play Champions league this season. Draw of group stage wll be held this Thursday. |

Bodo/Glimt is completely home team, so it's not surprising that Dinamo Zagreb is so clearly favoured. Going with BTTS is good option, but seems that odds wenty down and there is not much value left.
PSV - Ranger should be very interesting and it's sad that we won't see one of these teams in the group stage. I choose to go with PSV win, I want to see R.van Nistelrooy working in Champions league on his debut season.
Trabzonspor - Copenhagen, very difficult to predict something here, I think i'll go with BTTS @1.67
