I'm not against your idea, but IMO, it's not needed. I prefer when merit is rewarded in natural way - when merit source or just random member see good post and simply reward it with merit. Most of these merit giveaway threads tend to ass licking and posts made just to try getting merit. Also, as mentioned above, with AI being hottest thing in 2023 many members can try writting posts with it when they try to get merit.
Sorry if my comparison may be not appropriate for some members, but merit giveway threads reminds me giving treats for dogs whn they have donesomething good. I'm not saying that these threads is bad thing, it's simply not something what I prefer.

Impressive win for Ferrari at le Mans.
After 50 years they went here and in the 1st race, they won.

It could even be a 1-2 for them but the second car got a problem with debris.

The monopoly of Toyota has been closed
Ferrari win is best thing wha could happened for Le Mans. After so many years of Toyota dominance it's becoming boring, only question was which Toyota car will win that year. From what I read that after strict budget caps were introduced in F1, Ferrari had lot of available money and engineers and decided to go to Le Man and develop car which can win there
Amazing race, after 24 hours both leaders finished in same lap and on last Ferrari pit stop  hearts of their fans probably almost stopped. And really surprised to see Cadillace finished 3rd and 4th.
1063  Economy / Reputation / Re: The whole reputation system is pure garbage on: June 13, 2023, 07:11:31 PM
Removal of the negative feedbacks from inactive members will defeat the purpose of that system, the feedbacks serves as a warning and caution for other people that might engage the person that has the feedback in the future so the system works just fine. Of course OP would say that it's unfair because he got almost all of the DT members on his bad side not to mention that the feedback is mentioning extortion which I think is a pretty serious offense, I mean isn't that a crime irl? His case isn't definitely one of those unfair ones, DT members in my experience in the forum aren't vindictive and logical when it comes to giving someone the ever infamous red trust.
I'm not talking about removing feedbacks left by inactive members, most of it remain to be legit and valid. But there is some cases feedbacks become wrong. Let's say user receive negative trust for not returning loan. And after some time user who left him feedback dies or simply become inactive. User repays loan, but he still can't get rid of red trust. Offcourse, it would be wrong to remove all feedbacks left by inactive member or remove him from DT because all other his feebacks remains legit. For now such issue doesn't happens often, but eventually it will become more frequent.
Sometimes DT members leave negative feedbacks when they have personal war against certain member or giving relatiory feedback, but that's not one of these cases. It's not that OP didn't deserved all feedbacks he got.
1064  Economy / Reputation / Re: The whole reputation system is pure garbage on: June 12, 2023, 07:54:42 PM
So, can you suggest alternatives to current trust system? Ok, even if red trust from inactive members would be removed, your account still would be full of negative feedbacks. You want to say that all these feedbacks aren't valid? OK, I'm not going deep into it and argue about it.
I only can see problem in some cases with feedbacks from inactive DT members, but I don't think that your case is one of these.

Soldado is still playing? Had no idea. I thought he retired after his spell at Granada. How old is he? Surely close to 40.

Did not watch any of lower league games, gonna wait until new season to actually see the promoted clubs in action.
I also thought that he retired after Granada, but when I saw him entering pitch after substitution against Alaves. He is 38 years old, so yeah, close to 40.
Maybe it don't fits that much for Soldado, but Joaquin example shows that even at such age player still can be useful, playing in strong team.
1066  Other / Meta / Re: Old posts aren't moderated on: June 12, 2023, 07:38:23 PM
I think that this message is given mainly because that priority is given to new posts. When there is lot of spam reported it's normal thing that mods are dealing with newest posts first. But if you will report old post, mods will handle report too and they will delete it if it will be needed.
1067  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: June 12, 2023, 07:29:52 PM
Alaves and Levante played first play-off final for a La Liga spot, and it finished without goals
next Saturday is a re-match decider, and Levante will be a host, but I don't see that as a big advantage, they had similar performance during season, and it will be a close call to see who is coming back

Las Palmas and Granada are already promoted, in a fury finish in Segunda
Watched this game and it was really boring. Both teams left everything for 2nd leg. 0:0 probably is better result for Levante, as 2nd leg will be played in Valencia. Really want to see return of Levante, they used to play quite attractive football and always were difficult for big teams. Also, would be nice to see Roberto Soldado last dance in La Liga, offcourse he can't be 90 minutes player anymore, but can be usedul for 20-30 minutes.
1068  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: June 12, 2023, 07:20:54 PM
I have collected for you links from Russian-language resources in chronological order with Russia's statements about the shelling of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

link1
link2
link3
link4
link5
link6
link7
link8
link9
link10
link11
link12
link13

But as far as I understand, the only evidence that has weight for you is the confession of Major General Andrey Kovalchuk, who at that time commanded the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kherson region, made by him in an interview with the Washington Post.
When you posted so many links, I already expected that it will be something serious. But again, I got disappointed. From all links, there is maybe 2 photos or videos which MIGHT show arrival to the dam. Rest is cheap propaganda shit, which proves nothing. If Ukraine really systematically bombed dam, there would be much more noise
I see that you catched this interview from WP and using it as strong evidence. Even if it's true what was told it, it contradicts to your acussations. You're talking about systematical attacks on dam, but in article they're talking about one test hit.
1069  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: June 11, 2023, 08:38:23 PM
While Russians are still ejaculating on videos about few destroyed or damaged Leopard and Bradley's, it looks that Ukraine made some progress in Zaporizhia and Donbas directions, liberating several small villages
https://twitter.com/Azovsouth/status/1667832335427829760
https://twitter.com/blinzka/status/1667948837619507203
But it's difficult to expect fast and easy progress like we saw in Kharkiv counteroffensive. Mainly because Russia had prepared strong fortifications and several defense lines. But things doesn't goes that bad as it may looked few days ago. Though, we must understand that this operation will cost Ukraine lot of human power and equipment. But increased number of videos and photos of destroyed Russian military equipment from front line give positive meotions.
EDIT Makarivka is also under control of Ukraine now
https://twitter.com/Militarylandnet/status/1667969907332448257

Since last summer, Ukraine has fired more than 500 shots at the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station.
It wouldf be interesting to see some links showing these arrivals to dam. Maybe I don't follow Russian telegram channels enough and maybe I missed it, but I don't remember such complaints from Russian side
Still, destroying such dam with HIMARS, Storm Shadow or any other equipment that Ukraine have sounds unrealistic. If we talk about destroying it from outside, maybe FAB aviation bomn would be enough to blow it

Damn, Harkorede simply destroyed me in 1st round. It really hurts. Now I can't wait for 2nd round questions and try to get up from the bottom
BTW, do we have full schedule with our opponents for whole season?

I have to say I don't agree with question number 8.

The correct answer should have been 3 cards for inter.
the question did not say anything about the bench being included in the card. Then I would perhaps consider my answer differently. In this case, it was the coach who received the fourth card for Inter.
I think we had similar questions in past and it was said that only cards on the pitch is counted. It's same thing like when you bet on card under/over markets.

Feel free to blaim us when talking to your wifes. I know I am doing that whenever possible  Grin
I will blame you that I don't have wife Cheesy.
1071  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eredivisie 22/23 - discussion thread on: June 11, 2023, 07:16:22 PM
As far as I am concerned, it is right that Twente is now going to play European football. Sparta had suddenly gone from relegation candidate to the sub-top of the Dutch league in recent years. Would also have to do with the trainer, of which it is still uncertain whether he will stay on. I am especially curious how Feyenoord will do, expectations will be high, but on the other hand, PSV has probably brought in a very experienced trainer with Bosz. And Aja is playing with fire by appointing a very inexperienced trainer. is that wise?
As expected, Twente won game at home and goes to Conference league. But it wasn't that easy and their win was just 1:0, despite dominance on pitch. After all, they most deserved this spot as from all playoff teams, they ended in highest place in regular season.
After Van Nistelrooy left, Bosz looks like not bad replacement. And if I haven't missed anything, Ajax is still looking for new manager.
1072  Other / Meta / Re: Text size while posting reply on: June 11, 2023, 07:04:24 PM
From your screenshot, I see that text size is normal from topic title to text you are typing. Do I miss something with your text sizes?
Yeah, text size in my reply field is same like in topic title, but it used to be bigger and I haven't changed anything in settings.

Thanks for your suggestions and inputs, guys. I looked at accesibility settings and I see that text size is at 100%, so, it's not related with my browser settings. Now I tried to check how it looks on Firefox and it's same little text..
So, I guess that I will have to zoom in a bit more. Reset settings is an option, but don't really want to do that, as all my logins and preferences will be gone.
1073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🦊 Betnomi.com | Champions League Pool ⚽️ Discussion Thread on: June 10, 2023, 09:13:37 PM
Man City wins Champions league for the first time and finally Pep Guardiola wins it not as manager of Barcelona. I think that score 1:0 shows went not exactly in the way as City planned, Inter was really good and didn't looked like underdogs.
That Lukaku moment, unbeleavable how he didn't scored, but it's nothing new for him. But it's important to mention how good was Ederson today, he was one of key players that let City to win.
3 Italian teams reached European finals this year and in the end - all of them lost.
1074  Other / Meta / Re: Text size while posting reply on: June 10, 2023, 07:33:32 PM
Isn't this normal for smartphone users? The zooming in and out just to read using mobile browsers although there is always browser settings for the font size to change dynamically.

I think you should try to increase text and font size on your Android device and that might solve the problem for you. Because when I was using Android based smartphone I used to do that thing and most of the times it would work on applications and web browsers. You may also check if your browser has built-in text settings and change the text-size in those settings as well so you might be able to read the reply without any issue.
I added screenshot to OP to show how text looks like. As I said, everything was fine, text size was big enough to read it easy. And I haven't changed any settings, so, no idea why it's changed. Now tried to find how to change it in settings, but didn't found.
1075  Other / Meta / Text size while posting reply on: June 10, 2023, 06:23:25 PM
In recent days something happened to my Chrome browser on Android - text size on reply field become such small that I have zoom in to be able to read. Few days ago everything was fine and text size was normal. Did anyone faced similar issue and how to fix it?
1076  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🦊 Betnomi.com | Champions League Pool ⚽️ Discussion Thread on: June 10, 2023, 01:42:16 PM
About tickets, I think that tickets to CL finals still cost cheaper than NBA finals. And always huge number of tickets to the final are given for free to sponsors, all national federations of UEFA members and various celebrities. So, even if you have money, it's still very difficult to get tickets.
Back to the finals, I don't expect that Inter will make upset, but I hope that it will be interesting final. Interesting to see what bets on this game did you made, I still haven't decided on what markets put my money on.
1077  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 on: June 09, 2023, 07:56:59 PM
I also dont like to watch women football, not because it is boring, but because it is like watching football in slow-mo, and two completely on different level teams meat often. Sorry to say, but women football isnt developed at all. I have never seen a kid wearing t-shirt with famous women football player. I think no one could even name top players, or who won previous cup without googling. Since Brazil is most football playing country, I believe they gonna win.
Well, I think that now top players is quite well known. I think many heard about Ballon D'or winner Alexia Putellas, one of best US player Alex Morgan or Allisha Lehmann (mainly because of her Instagram.
I followed Champions league a bit and teams were playing in full huge stadiums like Camp Nou, Emirates or Stamford Bridge, not some training grounds like in past. Women football done big steps forward in recent years. Last week Champions league final was played and Barcelona won it by making comeback from 0:2 to 3:2 against Wolfsburg. But still, there was some moments and goals that you can see only in women football.

BTW, FIFA hasn't increased the number of participants for the women's world cup. Even for the 2027 event, the number of participants stand at 32 (for the men's event it has been increased to 48).
In 2019 World Cup 24 teams played, now we have 32, what is too much IMO. So far it's way too early to talk about 48 teams, there isn't so many teams in world now who can play good level football. And I also don't like decision to increase number of teams in men World Cup.
1078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 on: June 08, 2023, 10:22:11 PM
I was looking for this thread Smiley After all, it's probably biggest football event this summer. Comparing with last championship, number of participants was increased from 24 to 32. I'm not sure that's good move because level of women football isn't such good everywhere around thw world. I'm afraid that it will some big results in group stage like 10:0
I hope that someone finally will end USA dominace - 3rd World Cup in a row would be too much.

I think it would be wonderful if the Argentinian team could bring another Cup this occasion and continue the good streak that country has managed to get since they got the World Cup.  Wink
It looks that you don't follow women football at all. Argentina isn't powerhouse here, their chances to win  is same like Zambia, Vietnam or Haiti, rated at odds @501. If Argentina will get out from group somehow, it would be almost like miracle.
1079  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can the ban on smartphones curtail peer pressure? on: June 08, 2023, 10:03:36 PM
I guess you were born in the late 80s, early 90s. Great times! I was born in the 80s myself and I remember the times times when we would get together with friends and have fun outside. We'd play ball, chase each other, race remote controlled cars, shoot water guns and then go back home to watch cartoons before going to bed. Best times of my life.

Nowadays kids don't even talk. They go outside, sit on benches and write each other messages on facebook or play games on their phones. They can't even talk like normal people just answer with gifs and memes.
Mid 90s. My gneration is probably last one who had real childhood. Only good memories from these times. I'm not against technologies and development, but you should use it in right way. Facebook or games on smartphone isn't worst thing. I think that Tik Tok with all stupid videos is worst thing and it makes real damage to brain.

I'm not familiar with Bitcoin Magazine giveaway, so I don't really know why they're doing it. I guess that such giveaway help them to get quite signficant traffic and level of abuse so far didn't reached such level thatthey can't afford to pay anymore. But usually such good things come to the end sooner or later, it can't last forever. So, you can milk cow as it still gives something.
