Eh, I put $10 on Boston.  Don't think Scherzer will start 11-0...

Didn't like any of the games, though.
2082  Economy / Gambling / Re: My Sportsbetting Picks (Record 3-1-0 +$345.00) on: June 22, 2013, 11:33:22 AM
Nice wins from Oakland and Texas. The under lost. Record updated 3-1-0 +$345.
Thanks for that Oakland pick!  Worked out well for me Smiley

Like any of the games today?
2083  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Coin Gas - 100+ Steam Games from 0.123 BTC on: June 21, 2013, 07:53:59 PM
Beautiful site!  Will be adding it to my favorites and coming back to buy a few games after I mine a little bit Smiley
2084  Economy / Lending / Re: Request: 0.5 BTC for 24-48 hours. on: June 21, 2013, 07:02:12 PM
Welcome to the wild west Smiley
On btct (which I have never used before--I made an account just to accept the shares), you can just go to My Assets. There's a box for "Internal Asset Transfer (Fee: 0%)"

Interesting.  I will have to go check out btct... it would be interesting to own shares of a btc mining company.
2085  Economy / Lending / Re: Request: 0.5 BTC for 24-48 hours. on: June 21, 2013, 06:52:44 PM
I will do thousands of dollars in loans when given collateral. For me to take a loss here, winter would have to default and the shares would have to almost halve in price.

Out of curiousity how do you transfer these shares?  I'm new to the bitcoin share business, so I am just wondering.

I just see all these request for shares as collateral and I keep thinking of NYSE stocks because that is what I am familiar with and invested in.  It'd take an act of God to move my shares from Scottrade to someone else's account Tongue

2086  Economy / Lending / Re: Loan Request: 0.01 BTC / repay 0.02 BTC - no collateral on: June 21, 2013, 06:30:08 PM
Well I'm about to get off work... no longer need this.

Color me shocked that no one would send over a dollar to help out.  lol

2087  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting Picks ( RECORD 137-61-16) on: June 21, 2013, 04:59:20 PM
[The Cards are starting a rookie who's younger than me. Off to a damn near 4.5 era, and having a terrible outing his last couple games. I think the Rangers can jump him enough to keep a lead

As a Rangers fan, I hope they can win today, but as a gambler I feel safer with the over bet.

2088  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Are GPUs still relevant and for how long on: June 21, 2013, 04:58:13 PM
I respectfully disagree with you.

Right now, I am running a 5850 that I bought with $60 on CL.  I could sell it right now on eBay for $80 and make a profit.  It has also been mining for a month generating ~$1/day.

You sound like my friend who told me that "there is no market for used hardware"

I'll keep using GPUs over ASIC because of a few reasons.

1) I don't trust any of these companies that are pre-ordering
2) If my ASIC is no longer bringing in many coins, or the hashing power is insignificant because of more powerful ASICs and/or the increasing difficulty, then it is a worthless device that will resell for no-where near what I paid for it
3) If my GPU is no longer bringing in many coins, then I can move to another crypto-currency that is more profitable, if that doesn't work then I can move to another one, if that doesn't work then I can sell it for relatively the same amount that I paid for it.  People are always upgrading their computers and these cards are all pretty beasty

1) Just because you don't trust the ASIC companies doesn't mean at least some of them won't deliver (and all of them look like they are so far, so later than others, but still delivering).

2) GPUs will never sell for what you bought them for. GPUs will be mining so few bitcoins these days that you will have no chance of making the difference between what you buy and sell the GPUs at. Don't forget that they use far more electricity than ASICs.

3) The difficulty of those alt coins is going to soar as all the GPU miners do this. Alt coins are all going to die anyways within a year as there is only people mining them with no one buying them or using them as they are pretty much useless.

2089  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question about Butterfly's Bitforce 5GH/s on: June 21, 2013, 04:43:15 PM

btw i ordered my machine from BFL like half year ago, and i still don't have it so i think it was not a good decision

Yeah I almost ordered one a few months ago, but then saw how long everyone else had been waiting...

Good luck to you!  Hopefully you get it soon Undecided

At work, don't have a scanner... PM your phone number and I will take a picture with my military ID and text it to you.

Opinions on Phillies Mets Over 8?

(2.09 / +109)

I wouldn't touch that.  Both starting pitchers combined have a 8.16 ERA, but this is two of the lowest scoring teams in MLB (#24 and #25)
2092  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting Picks ( RECORD 137-61-16) on: June 21, 2013, 03:39:52 PM
Holy crap!  They won?  My stupid friend told me they lost 3-2... i was too busy watching the NBA Finals

lol that's great!  I won my biggest bet yesterday and didn't even know until now Smiley

Still think Fister will take care of business.   I think that SF pick is pretty solid, too... think I will throw that into my parlay

Who you got tonight in MLB?

I want do a parlay with three bets, but am having a hard time finding a third pick...

Going with:
Detroit Tigers ML - Fister will take care of business at home after last night's loss.
TEX @ STL Over 8 - Seems like the Rangers can't stop getting blown out, but if their bats get hot then 8 will be easy to hit

I do Like san fran alot! and Detroit won BTW on a walk off last night so be careful with that pick stl and tx is a solid pick
2093  Economy / Lending / Re: Loan Request: 0.01 BTC / repay 0.02 BTC - no collateral on: June 21, 2013, 03:36:03 PM
lol

I stated in my post why I want the loan.  I don't need it and can test out my work computer on Monday.  I just want to play some roulette instead of crunch numbers in Excel.  No biggie.

I know a $1 investment isn't really worth the hassle, but just figured I'd see.
2094  Economy / Lending / Re: Loan Request: 0.01 BTC / repay 0.02 BTC - no collateral on: June 21, 2013, 03:31:24 PM
I would give you the loan if I had any indication that you don't mean to simply abandon your forum account and never pay back.

Well I don't think there is any way I can prove that over an internet forum.  It's just a dollar, so it's whatever.

If I wanted to scam then I would make a fake account and not use a handle that I have used for everything since I was 18.

Looking for any small amount up to 0.01 BTC, and I will repay double no later than June 24th.

Just want to test this site out on my work comp.
2097  Economy / Lending / Loan Request: 0.01 BTC / repay 0.02 BTC on: June 21, 2013, 02:52:31 PM
Figured I would try this, because I am bored at work and don't have a way to deposit at the moment.

I just want to see if anyone would go for this.  I want to try out https://bitzino.com/roulette because it appears that it will actually work on my work computer, but I don't have access to my BTCs right now.  I have some FTC/LTC/BTC on btc-e.com and will switch over to mine BTC this weekend so i can repay double on Monday (June 24th).

If anyone wants to help me out with a buck let me know.  If not, no biggie, I will try next week.

Thanks!

Edit:  Denied!  I'll be off work soon so I no longer need any help.  Thanks anyways!

Hmmm... something smells fishy!

Sorry!

It only smelled fishy because people were claiming they weren't getting their deposits and you weren't responding.  Hope it works out well for everyone!  I will check it out soon, probably.  I like the layout Smiley

Is there a n00b guide for this?  I only see people selling shares for ASIC-Miner and I don't have 3BTC yet...

I invest in the NYSE so I am interested in getting some shares of some reputable btc mining companies (do they exist)?
2100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There are only 21 THOUSAND bitcoins on: June 21, 2013, 02:21:39 AM
Never thought of it that way before... but it appears there are only 2.1 bitcoins in existence..

2.100000000000001 BTC
