interesting results, pretty much balance with a bit more people voting for
Direct cash deposit

in the end I think it comes to this idea:
why are you gambling? to make money or just to play?

those who want just to play will be fine with the free rolls.

~ I personally am all for KYC implementation on every crypto gambling site.

saying privacy is only for criminals or that you're fine with giving up your privacy because you have nothing to hide is the same as saying free speech is not needed because you have nothing to say

Freedom of speech is not absolute. Google it. So, to keep order in our society, we have to give up our freedom to say some things. Same here with KYC on gambling sites. In order to stop money laundering, financing of terrorism and some other bad stuff we agree to give up some of our privacy. Just a little bit of it, actually. Because no one is gonna see your KYC data unless there is a police warrant.

Well, there is an absolute reality that is as you say, it is known that as time goes by they will try to take away people's privacy, I don't know, I have seen this since 2017 with many projects that came out that were about privacy where always who reigned was and still is Monero, that is why the casino that implements Monero will give them many clients, because there is something that was talked about and it was about the adoption and the adoption of Bitcoin and even cryptocurrencies is not the problem, and that it will be given without effort, now what will be most sought is to be more anonymous, and only those who provide this service are the ones who will have the leadership without a doubt.

I agree freedom of speech is not absolute, there's the paradox of tolerance too which is quite interesting
though I think it's different with freedom to transact and privacy

normalizing the idea that we should give away our data can develop to a dystopian society where all your financial movement is under surveillance

not the nicest future and definitely not the one I wish for my children.

@Betwrong says no one is gonna have access to your data but the many breaches that happen every week shows us that this is not true
KYC also ends up incentivizing a parallel market where people will buy docs or pay someone to do KYC for them...
2103  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Telegram quer leiloar nomes de usuário e links no formato de NFTs on: August 24, 2022, 11:15:16 AM
Notícia interessante do Portal do bitcoin

I honestly think casinos and exchanges are hitting two targets with one arrow.
By setting a mandatory KYC on their platform they are following the regulations from the government as well as selling this data to other companies for money.
Governments are keeping these regulations for AML but may be exchanges and casinos are using this KYC data for their benefit as well.
We can never know the hidden truth behind this.
As long as there's no blackmail or many strangers asking you for money, I don't think your KYC is being used by other people. Because that's where your data being used and it's a sign if many people already know how to reach you. You may correct we don't know behind truth about this, but at the same time they're getting forced to ask KYC. That's why if you're want to give your KYC, make sure you're already 100% trust with the project.

the hard part about digital data is that in the end it's impossible to verify if something was truly deleted
so you have no way to know if the documents you submit on a website will end up being sold on the deep web for pennies or not...
And it is because of this that people are so concerned about giving their personal data to online companies, we must assume that once something is uploaded to the Internet it will stay there forever.

And even if we assume that the service that we are using is to be trusted and they will never sell that information willingly we know that hacks can happen, where I live recently there was a hack and the information of many customers of the business that got hacked is not being sold on the dark web, so regardless of how tight the security of any casino could be there is no guarantee something like this could not happen to them and you will find your information being sold on those dark marketplaces.

exactly
and we see all kinds of absurd things nowadays
including sensitive information being kept in a non-cryptographic way

it's a deep rabbit whole to dig

do you have any hope these issues in security of information will be solved one day?
2106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Brasileirão 2022 - Brazilian Championship Serie A on: August 23, 2022, 08:29:40 PM

Yes.. I believe in this round had several unforeseen events, the results of some games surprised many people...
I didn't bet on the Fortaleza x Corinthians game... because I would bet on Corinthians lol

But I did  Cheesy

I lost a good bet on Corinthians yesterday haha, I was so sure about the victory, I lost 25 BRL

Corinthians is lacking constancy, it's curious, the team won a game 4 x 0 against Athletico and got the classification for semi finals of Copa do Brasil, after that lost a match to a team almost at the demoting zone, and lost the 3 place, now it's 4th.
Even with so many new players, the situation is not good.
Now it's 10 points distant from the first place of Palmeiras.

I almost put 50 BRL, but I glad I didn't  Cheesy

good that you didn't lose too much
sometimes we can learn a lot by small losses

I'm almost never betting on soccer results because it's so unpredictable
not sure

think about this victories from Ceara a couple of weeks back
not sure if many expected that.

2108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CHESS] FIDE Candidates Chess Tournament 2022 on: August 23, 2022, 07:59:08 PM
If I remember correctly, there are only a few types of poker left where the AI is still weaker than a human. And if you look at the trend, this situation is clear how it will end. I'm not sure exactly what Carlsen's motivation is, since in poker no one player (in modern conditions) has ever dominated. At the highest level, this is a game of luck, where the outcome is determined almost entirely by chance. For Carlsen, it's most likely just entertainment plus making money. I think advertising from an influencer like him is very expensive.

indeed it's probably expensive to hire Carlsen for an ad and he's probably picky on which companies to advertise for

regarding Poker and AI, can AI bluff? curious about it
for sure it can calculate the mathematical possibilities better than humans, but poker is not only luck, it's a game of skill

What is the game of skill? In all games where only skill is taken into account, AI is already undeniably better than a person - chess, GO, checkers, any other board games. As for bluffing, I can’t answer this question because I don’t know the details, but it seems to me that it can because from the AI point of view, bluffing is a common action in the game that leads to certain consequences with certain probabilities. Since the AI calculates all these probabilities, why not use this technique.

this is the point
AI will take the mathematical and logical approach
and some things are beyond this domain
bluffing is one of them
even though AI can calculate the odds of determined combination of cards being the winner, top poker players can also do it
winning on poker is not about it, it's way more

totally different game than chess
makes sense?

Tongue

https://coincodecap.com/ftx-restricted-a-user-from-interacting-with-zk-money

“ According to FTX, Aztec Connect - Aztec network / zk money has been identified as a mixing service, which is a high-risk activity prohibited by FTX.”

2110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CHESS] FIDE Candidates Chess Tournament 2022 on: August 22, 2022, 03:14:16 PM
Has anyone noticed on YouTube that Carlsen is advertising some kind of casino? I don't remember the name, but I do remember the slogan "Zero Risk Gambling" hahaha. Judging by his participation in poker competitions and this advertisement, it can be assumed that he is increasingly immersed in the world of gambling. Is this just making money interesting or is he seriously interested in this area? I hope this is a passing fad, I would like to see him in the next cycles of the Candidates Tournament.
I have not seen this but there could be some very deep reasons for this new interest in gambling, I have seen chess go from humans being better than computers, then being evenly matched to a complete dominance of computers over humans, poker due to its nature is still a game in which humans are better than computers and most likely this will remain the case until very smart AI is developed, maybe Carlsen is frustrated with the fact that even if he is the best human chess player he cannot beat his digital opponents, and he would like to try poker as it is a game in which he could reach the true top, but this is speculation on my part.

depende!

2114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Brasileirão 2022 - Brazilian Championship Serie A on: August 19, 2022, 03:33:49 PM
Since before the championship has started, Palmeiras was already the favorite. I imagine gamblers who bet on Palmeiras back then must be really happy with their progress right now. This time the most obvious team was the right choice. No surprises in Brasileirão this year. The question is, how long is the overweighting supremacy of Palmeiras going to last in brazilian national soccer?

Palmeiras have won 10 times and is the supreme champion, last victories were 1993, 1994, 2016 and 2018
so, I wouldn't be so sure it'll win every time, even though it may the favorite one we can see that from 2016 to 2018 it's 2 years and from 2018 until now, 4 years have passed

2116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin dump have any impact on gamblers ? on: August 18, 2022, 10:14:09 PM
You would really be still converting from fiat to btc and btc to fiat and this is where people do really usually do in the end of the day thats why i dont see a point on why making out some argumentation if market dumps do really give out some impact on gamblers.Come to think that they are playing and they are willing to lose money and they wont really be minding on what the market condition would be.

That should be the common approach by most gamblers as in the first place, "gamblers are gamblers" regardless if they are betting using fiat or crypto.

If bitcoin dump has an impact on gamblers, there should be a big concern about that since then as we already experienced lots of bitcoin dump in the process but there's not. Nothing really difference when a gambler converts fiat to bitcoin to be used on crypto-gambling sites.

It's just the same as the usual purpose that most people do when they convert bitcoin to fiat or vice-versa.

on point

that's why I'd love to have a website where we can see gambling volumes on the main casino websites for crypto

think token terminal or defipulse but for gambling

would be quite interesting.

2120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An alternative to gambling with money. on: August 17, 2022, 03:23:18 PM
With the application of fake gamblers it will be even more intense to gamble for real. The initial goal was to overcome the use of real money. this is the same as a gambling demo because it uses fake money or fake balances that can be reset and added. for those who do gamble for the purpose of profit, gambling games with real money will be an option.
Gambling using fake money will have no responsibility in every betting session because the fake money that is bet can be added again and refilled, I think playing in fake money mode will not meet real players at the betting table, but we bet with bots and play the game so boring that it wastes time and energy.

exactly
skin in the game changes everything
you may be a winner with demo money but end up losing money when playing for real
putting it simple: it's usually better to go with real money from start, even if it's a little amount.
Also you cant really feel the thrill when you do make use of demo or fake money and its not really worth on spending your time on something which doesnt have value and this is what most people be thinking on because you cant really able to earn real money on the activity you've been doing.

You cant stop gambling addiction if you do keep yourself get involved and still playing gambling even though its fake or demo money but still it wont really completely stop the thing you do have
in mind and would still continue to play.

Stop completely if you are really that serious on quitting gambling but if not then you could always choose on what to do.

yes, nowadays it's quite common to meet people that are deluded by reality, living in a parallel world where they don't see life as it really is
(probably all of us have our blind spots somehow)
I find it quite positive to go out of our bubbles and try to see things as they really are

teaches a lot.
