It's too bad U3 development didn't follow any of this, they had potential to be fun usb miners, but they turned out to be metallic piles of crap.

I'd like to get some.. I ran out of ideas. I've tried to connect with the android app to Cryptoglance with port forwarding but didn't suceeded... I've tried to connect with the android app from the same network to the pc where Cryptoglance is and I got this: net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED I've turned off firewall and everything but it doesn't work. HELLLPPPPP please ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Try: Q. I cannot get cryptoGlance to run. What can I check?
A. The Windows version should work quite well out of the box, but getting cryptoGlance setup under your own web server requires a bit of knowledge. Most often times, you can search for any specific errors you see, or try the following:
Windows Version:
Configure any firewalls/anti-virus to allow cryptoGlance.exe traffic through Note the default port for the Windows app is 4041. If you are configuring cryptoGlance to be externally accessible, you'll need to forward port 4041 to the IP of the Windows box running it, or change the port via the app's config file here: {{ install-dir }}\settings.json Simply open it in a text editor, and search for "listen_on": ["127.0.0.1", 4041] Investigate the {{ cG Install Dir }}\debug.log file for traces of errors
Running from source:
Confirm that PHP is installed and working properly Ensure that the php_sockets extension is loaded via php.ini (Linux) Ensure that you have the following packages installed: apache2 php5 libapache2-mod-php5 php5-json php5-curl Adjust permissions to allow for write access on the /user_data folder https://github.com/cryptoGlance/cryptoGlance-web-app/blob/master/README.md#faq

Can you pastebin a debuglog of the detection (output of bfgminer -d? -D)?
Maybe you can use the serial number (IIRC, always 0001 for U3s): -S antminer@0001
"-S antminer@0001" worked, 5.2.0 launched and saw the U3, however I cannot get it to hash greater than 1GH/s, and then it decrease to SICK rapidly (a result of freq/volt/timing settings I'm sure, still need to figure out some values there). "bfgminer -d antminer" also worked, but since it only detects antminer machines that way it does not start my netfury sticks (as expected). "bfgminer -D" runs in debug mode but I do not know if/where it creates an output file. I assume you want me to run -D with "-S all" to see where the device scan hangs, correct? Thanks again for the help.

Great pictures and reporting so far, Phil. I have one request/suggestion: for the cgminer screen caps hit d then i for widescreen reporting and it will show accepted/rejected/hw errors at the top to the right of WU.
Keep it up, great project to be following!

Also, I mentioned somewhere else but Novak and I are gonna spend some time looking into building our own snazzy flexible powered hub, probably 7 port. We're looking at an internal regulator that can take in a range about 6V to 24V and steps it down to a clean 5V. The 5V rail would be tied to a barrel jack which could be used as a power input or output. We'd build it to handle at least 1.5A per socket (by which I mean every socket could deliver 1.5A simultaneously and it'd still work).
And make an option for a built-in fan for the sticks while you're at it. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Sounds cool, part of the fun of playing with stick miners is the usb hub.

FYI - if anyone was wondering, bitcoins were updated to 0.10.1 back on 9-May All blocks we generate have been v3 since then.
What does that mean? BIP66 will come into effect soon and pools mining block headers before v3 will fork. (or in simplistic terms, if the pool isn't mining v3 blocks, no one will get any bitcoins when BIP66 activates) So do I or we need to do anything? Not when mining to kano.is Thanks for staying ahead of the curve. block found ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) That big chunk of green is bound to get some red in it pretty soon, here's the first. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

New release: Version 4.9.2 - 12th June 2015
Excellent, look forward to playing with it. Thank you! Will the Antminer firmwares that have already been released (4.9.1c) be updated to 4.9.2 as well?

... Total - 214 or 2.14% ...
Did the other 52% of the network have 0 empty blocks in that time? The other 52% have the rest of those 214 Doh, I didn't add up the 0 blocks; I should have mathed harder.

By the way, as of block 360520, Eligius has 231 empty blocks. The very first empty block mined by Eligius was July 7, 2011 at 15:02:12 UTC. The last empty block mined by Eligius was 353712 on April 25, 2015 at 22:16:14 UTC.
Let's take a look only for blocks between 350k and 360k = 10k blocks, as for that period the pools percentage from the network was almost constant and for ease of calculations: - AntPool - 91 blocks with 19% of the network or ~4.8 empty blocks per percent of hasrate
- Discus - 66 with 20% or 3.3 per %
- Eligius - 3 with 3% or 1 per %
- KnC - 21 with 6% or 3.5 per %
... Total - 214 or 2.14% As you can see Eligius has the lowest number of empty blocks per percent - 3 times lower than others Did the other 52% of the network have 0 empty blocks in that time?

tl;dr How do I scan specifically for the usb U3, and not "scan all"?
-S antminer:all will probe all devices with only the antminer driver. Unfortunately, Antminer still does not set the product name on their devices, so there is no way to identify what devices they are without probing. By default, BFGMiner only probes identified devices, not "scan all"; if you want to turn even that off, use -S noautoP.S. Due to more pressing issues (medical), I will may sporadically have less time to work on things. Please open GitHub issues for problems so I don't forget about them, and thanks for your patience. -S antminer:all also causes 5.2.0 to hang. Is there something I can put in place of 'all' that would direct the scan to look at, say, only USB devices? It's something about the "all" that's freezing 5.2.0 on this system. Probably best to just figure out what that is, and fix that. Can you pastebin a debuglog of the detection (output of bfgminer -d? -D)? I guess I'm looking for something like what's in the device manager "For example: erupter:\\.\COM40" that would be tailored toward the U3. Something less encompassing than "all" that will id the U3. Since the U3 doesn't identify itself, there isn't anything good for this. Maybe you can use the serial number (IIRC, always 0001 for U3s): -S antminer@0001 Thanks for the suggestions, I won't be able to try them until Tuesday, though. Will report back next week. Hope your wife is ok, take care.
