You have to rely on BTC value increasing, or already have something like a Jupiter order.

Here's some info from my post on setting up bfgminer proxy: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=205369.msg3428687#msg3428687

As a note I would add to use a port other than 8332 if you're going to have the wallet running on the proxy computer. I suggest 8339 or something else easy to remember.

Also, this guide appears to be geared more toward a Windows 7 derivative, as not all functions apply to other versions of Windows or other operating systems. Would suggest the title be renamed as such, or, to indicate the instructions are for the specific OS.
2123  Economy / Services / Re: Butter Bot!: New Bitstamp, BTC-E, and MtGox EMA Trading Platform on: November 25, 2013, 01:30:51 PM
I see many things being repeated over and over in this thread. Many of them are suggestions. There's also a lot of the same conjecture from many pages ago, namely "the bot sucks i made a loss" etc.

EMA isn't perfect, but it does work. It's going to need time to get through the trade losses. I honestly don't suggest letting it dabble with mtgox right now. The market is simply too volatile right now, especially mtgox. I shut off my mtgox trader, but have made profit with btce the past few days. Yes, I have made BTC with btce this past weekend.

Some folks don't like it, don't yell at the developers or other people: make one yourself, or simply suggest enhancements to this one. Why all the fuss? Don't trade with what you're not willing to lose.

While many of the recent suggestions for improvement are really great suggestions (some of them myself and others have suggested awhile ago), for the time being folks need to work within the means of the bot. Keep the suggestions flowing.

Suggest that you also include bfgminer proxy info. It's a better proxy also.

2127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 22, 2013, 06:44:23 PM
Was just curious.....
actually, I was thinking of offering 2BTC for any unwanted upgrade cards out there....  plus shipping....
but looking at that...I'd probably get laughed at.....

<-- Looking for upgrade cards for a Mercury.. lol

Yeah, I keep an eye on the ebay circuit. Did you see the November units which were going for $27-$34k today? Hahaha!

Talk about quick turnaround.

If you are in a  hurry to get your payout so you can cash in, you are in the wrong business. Nothing about Mining happens quickly.

So true

If you think payouts are slow, try getting Fiat money into an exchange.

Coinbase.. instant to 1 day.

You are not going to get things to happen any quicker at any other pool.

Yup!

If you want total control, Solo Mine. See what that gets you. *snicker*

I hit 2 blocks Cheesy YMMV

Yes totally, fixing something when it is broke is ridiculous.... The good old Trailer park American way if its broke throw it away drive to Wallmart and buy a new one lol. Just because you give up when you Fail doesn't mean I have to. You don't get anywhere in this life being a quitter. Anyways happy Trolling lalalalala Smiley

For two weeks ver. 4 for four weeks ver. 5 ...
This is a ridiculous approach, after the first failure should be the end of the peseudo currency
Man, think again everything carefully before you share another shit

The point he's making is, the coin should've never been launched until bugs had been seriously worked out with lots of testing.

There will be time constraints put on cubits v2 redemption I will probably give people a week or less depending on how many dummy's are still mining v2 Cubits.

And this is the attitude he was pointing out as well. Some of us were subscribed to the v2 thread, which went dead. No updates on the OP or anywhere in the thread about v2 failing, which is probably why some people may be mining it. I'm not.. i stopped when I noticed your backend couldn't handle several hundred GH. Should I presume it still can't?

I'm interested in the coin, but if you want it to be taken seriously, you need to take these subtle hints from others seriously as well. Things like.. not updating the development thread and calling folks trolls for being upset.. doesn't help.

What's the long term point of the coin? Exchanges? Online wallets? Where can it be used? These goals should be in place before launch.

2132  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 6x MSI Twin Frozr 7950's + hardware on: November 22, 2013, 05:02:34 PM
You can get them for $220 new on Amazon and Newegg every few weeks lol
2133  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 50 Block Erupters with 49 port hub on: November 22, 2013, 04:56:04 PM
16gh at best, about 13 for efficiency sake. $200 teritory for just the USB's. AISC Cubes are going for 2btc give or take, and they're almost 40gh. Sorry mate. Ebay is likely your best option.

I'd be interested in just the sticks, but for much less than you'd want to let them go.
2134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Cubits V2 - Battlestar Galactica - SHA-256d -SCIFI on: November 22, 2013, 04:45:10 PM
Presuming the coin is dead

I considered it until I saw it in comparison with some others at independent review sites. The Prolimatech blew it away.

Awesome stuff there. I'm developing my own custom simple setup, but am also eyeing this closely!

Hey I have an idea, and I mean maybe it's not a breakthrough but, how about folks stop multi-quoting the same 24,949 connector pictures over and over? It's polluting the page and killing someone's server bandwidth needlessly. Just quote the relevant portion of /text/.

 Roll Eyes
2140  Economy / Services / Re: Butter Bot!: New Bitstamp, BTC-E, and MtGox EMA Trading Platform on: November 22, 2013, 02:36:50 PM
Trading with a longterm strategy like ema vs a increasing value is in fact just a slow sell off of BTC so sure your usd is volume is increasing as you sell in the longterm just your BTC for a increasing Price.
I am glad someone pointed this out as this crossed my mind when I read the last page.

Finaly i found a setting to increase btc in the longrun with this bot...

Setting buy threashold to 0% and sell threashold to 5%

Mtgox settings:
30 min
0.6% fee
starting fund $100
Buy Threashold 0%
Sell Threashold 5%

Trades made in test run over past 2y:
20.11.2013 18:02:00   buy   596.624    $34129.68   34029.68%
19.11.2013 15:02:00   sell   613.000    $34335.69   34235.69%
04.05.2013 02:32:00   buy   98.100    $5528.00   5428.00%
03.05.2013 14:32:00   sell   83.150    $5561.37   5461.37%
16.04.2013 18:32:00   buy   76.500    $5147.48   5047.48%
16.04.2013 00:32:00   sell   77.000    $5178.55   5078.55%
12.04.2013 23:32:00   buy   93.000    $6292.36   6192.36%
10.04.2013 20:32:00   sell   175.000    $6330.35   6230.35%
20.08.2012 05:32:00   buy   9.634    $350.60   250.60%
19.08.2012 21:02:00   sell   8.300    $352.72   252.72%
24.11.2011 01:32:00   buy   2.325    $99.40   -0.60%

As you can see it would make more btc and so also more usd.
It lose btc when btc price is decreasing because of big drop like in april...

Only 11 Trades in 2y...

I'll play more with the settings, other please do the same and search for settings where your btc value really increase in longterm...

I'll post more settings when I find settings with real profit.

Edit:
Anyway it would be nice to see what the profit was when the chart was usd-btc and not btc-usd...

These appear good for truly long-term, and are wagering on BTC value significantly hopping. For instance, your data shows truly only 3 segments of earnings: 11/24/2011-8/20/2012, 4/10/2013-5/4/2013 and then the last 2 in November. This is because of the huge delta.
