Well another week gone and not a word from KNC Miner.

It's not a big issue. Some folks as of today are raking in bitcoin at 1.7-2.0TH per machine, and many have been doing it at 180GH for 45 days in some cases. I'm sure KNC is doing all it can to help protect its customers from that.

I'm sure they're just working on getting their stock up for another fire sale of 100 modules like last time.

KNC any news on that?
1342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: January 31, 2014, 07:41:22 AM
FYI, I've just placed one of my in hand Nov. Jupiters (675GH) on Ebay for $7995.  I would end the auction early and sell for $7000 for payment in bitcoin.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=291069618922

First bitcoin offer takes it even if USD offer comes in first.

PM if interested.

How about half? That's what it's worth.

we opened payouts for everyone on the 42 pool? its still there lol.

The system won't let me login. You volunteered to send the payment to me, I sent you an email response post-haste days ago. You haven't responded since.

You owe me the difference. I'm not the only one who had this issue, many did.
1345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] "BitBaY" Commission Shares thread! on: January 31, 2014, 12:02:51 AM
I haven't ignored this topic, I've just been pulled in many directions. I looked over the google doc, I like a lot of what's there.

Right now foremost in my mind is, what's the sitrep of what cassie and justin have recently agreed on?

Keep in mind this is your last chance. You need something legit to launch pretty much now, or the project is going to disintegrate, mainly due to rising competition.

Regarding return of shares, I'm willing to take ownership of the domain names in place of the share, unless the project is ready to go live. By taking ownership, I will not keep the domain for myself. If I happen to produce an auction site for cryptocurrencies, I will have the domain point to the appropriate servers regardless of name. If another place pops up and wants to buy it, I will be open to that as well.

This is for the community afterall.

1347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: STAR COIN [STR] - The coin with bonus STAR blocks on: January 30, 2014, 11:31:00 PM
yes but why would I mine a coin that averages at about 500 satoshi and can get about 2000 per mh at current diff. it's not even profitable now with 0.x diff how will it be profitable when the diff reaches 10-20-100 ?

Some of us have had starcoin for months with no exchange.. I made decent BTC with mine yesterday/lastnight/today. I'm back to mining some more just because, and I'll mine it until it's no longer worthwhile.

It's profitable now.. if you think it's not, your math is bad.

Regarding str.criptoe.com, I told you guys I knew someone working on the pool. Glad to see the net rate increasing.
1348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: STAR COIN [STR] - The coin with bonus STAR blocks on: January 30, 2014, 08:09:31 PM
Yeah the spike on cryptsy was likely me selling off a bajillion star, people started buying mine despite it being higher than other orders.

I know someone trying to set up the largest starcoin pool, but the source won't compile. Dev needs to be active in this thread. It's back on cryptsy, fix these issues quick and we can have a network once more.

I got it to compile just fine.

The server side components? I'll pass along your suggestion.
1351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: January 30, 2014, 08:02:28 PM
Can you name another ASIC mining manufacturer that has done better?

Define 'better'.

There are 2, 3, other companies shipping equipment right now, with no intention to stop shipping.

KNC's demonstrated above-average (BFL) customer service, and better than most for keeping timetables. They've failed to keep their NPS.
1352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: January 30, 2014, 08:01:01 PM
Respectfully......Not true; The boards were sold to previous customers only. The problem with this, is they made enough boards to fill every Saturn and Mercury, which is where they should have went first...Saturn and Mercury owners. Jupiter owners gobbled them up quickly, and had more buying power, of course.
P.S.  ...   What do you mean by "rescinded plans for the Neptune."?

I have firsthand knowledge they went to folks whether they were customers or not. All you had to be was REGISTERED on the website with an address. This describes thousands of folks who didn't place orders.

RE: Rescinded, they had advertised as a bullet point for the Neptunes, module upgrades. On batch 3 they took that out. Oversight perhaps, but legally they're liable for making them upgradable at this point.

1354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: January 30, 2014, 05:16:55 PM
To those who are complaining they can't use modules because they have jupiters with full ports: The jupiter wasn't advertised as being modularly upgradable. The saturn and mercury were. Yes, I believe they should sell more Jupes alongside the modules, but you purchased an item not advertised to be added-on to.

Among the miner producers that I had a pleasure/displeasure to deal with (4 different companies and 1 scam) they are so far the best. And this BS about upgrade modules not being available is actually BS. If you wanted to get some you did get some. I've got 3.

You're a tool if you believe that. You couldn't just "get" them, and despite their advertisements since day 1, still can't. KNC was deceptive and purposefully mismanaged the entire modular side of the business on purpose--as they later admitted. Originally the module boards were going to be produced continually for saturn/mercury owners, as wanted/needed, and limited ONLY to those verified direct customers FIRST, and if there were any left they would let anyone buy them.

KNC then, without telling the saturn or mercury customes, decided it wasn't worth their time or effort to waste an hour setting up database flags and controls to manage the customer-only sale, and simply opened the module purchase up to everyone in the world whether or not they even had KNC equipment.

In less than 90 seconds, they oversold inventory. Because they were bafoons! This screwed the majority of KNC customers, as many of the modules went to non-customers and were ebayed at 10x value in some cases. They also admitted in failing to properly notify the Mercury and Saturn owners about the sale which led to most modules going to Jupiter owners instead--the people who WEREN'T supposed to get them first-dibs.

So, NO, you couldn't just get them if you wanted them.

ASIDE from that, they were supposed to KEEP making them for Batch 1&2 units, AND for batch 1&2 Neptune, but haven't, and have rescinded plans for the Neptune.

SO much for buying upgradable units.
1355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: January 30, 2014, 06:40:09 AM
Yeah, well they're going ot have to sell upgrade modules for less than 1.45BTC cause that's the price of antminers on bitmaintech.com. Yeah, the only ones getting their share of the network are antminers. I just used the coins I was keeping handy for KNC on antminers. Shipping starts Feb 8th.

Who starts shipping Antminers on 8th and at what price ?

Thank you very much

They've been shipping since December 15th or so. They took a break starting today for the CNY. It ends the 8th.

Hoping KNC responds before then!
1356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: January 30, 2014, 06:38:33 AM
I'm pretty sure it does not cost them more then $2000 for all parts including labor. I'm sure they could sell them as low as $3000. At that price, I'm willing to buy a few Jupiters, even at $3500. And I'm quite sure they could sell the upgrade modules for $600-$800.

My estimate is inventory cost of $1k for a jupiter. based on the price they insure for shipping.

KNC, will we see modules soon?

1358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: January 29, 2014, 10:29:49 PM
Been said already yadda yadda yadda but selling us upgrade modules instead of full units at this point is really friggin' stupid and a waste of time.  What are those of us with Jupiters supposed to do with them?  Not all Jupiters even have the expansion ports installed.

They should quit screwing around and sell some more Jupiters for super cheap.  They have made a lot of money off us especially those of us that returned for the Neptune preorders.  Speaking of which we deserve an official update on the project status right bloody now.

They should sell modules and Jupiters. They designed a product based on modularity, and 2 batches of it went out the door. They provided only a handful of modules total for the first batch. They then designed another generation of product, and sold 2 batches of it while the "modular upgrades" mantra was still listed as a selling point on the website. They took it off recently.

They have been somewhat deceptive in practice, of selling their equipment as upgradable, but refusing to provide said modular upgrades.

KNC, updates on modules and Jupiter sales?
1359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: January 29, 2014, 09:40:23 PM
Simple way to solve this: erase everything back to the point where Jupiters were 2nd batch shipping.

The fact is, KNC stopped updating the OP, which is where you're supposed to get information on a forum. Without it you end up with chatlogs of information. KNC failed to do their job, now moderators are trying to essentially spit-shine the Titanic while it's going down.

It would be best if the moderation stopped, and people just stopped posting in here altogether, unless they work for KNC. KNC isn't asking for the moderation
1360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: January 29, 2014, 08:04:59 PM
Like I said.. Cointerra would be shipping this week.

KNC, updates please.. 50+ days of competition shipping, and now thousands of 1.6TH+ units are moving out the doors stateside.
