2141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the largest financial service in the world.😂 on: April 18, 2021, 03:49:05 AM
If you combine some of the financial services because most of them are owned by only one company, I think that bitcoin isn't yet the number one but I am pretty sure that it is the first of its kind. I think that right now banks are still the biggest financial services without considering dependence or centralization.
2142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Mystery Framed Photo Found In A Thrift Store Back In 2016 on: April 18, 2021, 03:07:17 AM
No back of it is blank white, thanks for the suggestion may post it there later if nothing comes up here.
Maybe black light is your only hope so far because there seems to be no clue as to what is behind that, maybe try to Google search the image, maybe that can give you some clue or check if there is a way where it can be scanned like an RFID or something like that.
2143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you say you made money if you never actally sell your coins? on: April 17, 2021, 01:53:38 PM
In a way, if you consider bitcoin as an asset more than a money then you proabbly lean on not making money yet. I wouldn't suggest hodling forever or for a long time, take some cash out of your hodl, consider it as your reward for the patience that you had all this time hodling bitcoin and having a lot of tempting prices that you could've sold and times that you wanted to escape because the price is falling but you hodl on.
2144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bought my vitamins with Bitcoin on: April 17, 2021, 01:11:04 PM
I feel bad for you but at the very least you can still use it right? In my country, it is still unregulated so I wouldn't really worry that much and bitcoin itself is the one that is being sold rather than being used as a currency here. I hope that your country will come to terms with bitcoin and have them accept it.
Cryptocurrencies generally can be banned in many countries, but that does not necessarily means at times that citizens of such countries are not using it. Why is it banned in China, but 65% of newly mined bitcoin are mined in China? That even means Chinese are making use of cryptocurrencies. Nigeria CBN banned cryptocurrencies this year, but that does not stop their citizens not to use cryptocurrencies when p2p exchange is possible.
The problem with that though is that the citizen still doesn't have a complete freedom to use bitcoin because if the government were to strike down on them, they are probably going to be taken down. What I want is complete freedom, not that kind of thing where bitcoin is banned but someone can still use it, at legal standpoint someone can use those things against you.
2145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bought my vitamins with Bitcoin on: April 17, 2021, 12:23:52 PM
This is a very interesting topic, but in countries where Bitcoin is directly or indirectly approved by the government and their central bank, only all types of products can be bought by Bitcoin cryptocurrency.  Cryptocurrency is completely illegal in our country so we can't buy our daily necessities through bitcoin

2146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Space on: April 17, 2021, 11:39:57 AM
We haven't even colonized the Moon yet and we start thinking of this, we can utilize the seas of the Earth first before we do anything outside our world, seasteads are a hope for us, colonize the seas first and then we will worry about the Moon next.
2147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen if Satoshi moves or sells his Bitcoin? on: April 17, 2021, 07:42:53 AM
surely there will be a very large shock in the public market. maybe I think it could cause a global panic for biitcoin owners. But Satoshi Nakamoto wouldn't do something stupid like that, there must be a bigger plan than worrying a lot of people just looking for a profit.
Definitely, the prices are going to plummet but the problem is what would satoshi get when he dumped all the bitcoins together because you can't just sell that if I am right, the prices is definitely going to plummet if the 1 million dump is going to happen.
2148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do we create our own Alt coin and what's stopping others from creating it? on: April 17, 2021, 05:45:13 AM
There are guides out there posted by other users so I am not going to say what I think is the reason why people aren't doing it is because it is a taxing work to do, not everyone has the drive to manage their altcoin and creating doesn't even guarantee that you are going to make it big since statistics show that most altcoins are not successful.
2149  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Antonio_Arroyo is SCAMMER!!! on: April 17, 2021, 04:59:58 AM
A part of me is saying that OP truly experienced that and he does not have enough experience to use the internet and this forum.

@vigorish, I assume you approached him first. How did you find user Antonio_Arroyo, I mean you knew that he was looking to sell those stuffs?
Also, please attach anything that will serve as proof
Considering how gullible OP is when the scammer gave him/her a fake proof that the scammer is a legitimate one, I am sure OP is inexperienced with dealing online and identifying niche scams. Sorry for your loss OP, I want to say that there is a way to recover your funds but there isn't any way to recover that, be careful OP because you can be a target of bitcoin recovery scams in this forum so you better watch out.
2150  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bounty hunter who is a SCAMMER — sold tokens but did not deliver on: April 17, 2021, 04:20:31 AM
I'm not going to roast you but it's good that you admit that you are wrong dealing with a guy that you hardly know in telegram, this is a proof that dealing with people you hardly know and on telegram is too risky, hopefully, he can post here and resolve this issue to avoid getting tagged, he will lose his chance to participate again in bounty campaigns if proven that he scam you.
Telegram itself isn't even a safe place to be staying on, I mean it is the scammers paradise so if you are expecting something different then you are probably going to be proven wrong in a days notice. Try to avoid contacts with Telegram at all because you never know what's going to get you and overall, you should probably be careful who you are meeting online as they might not be who they really are IRL.
2151  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [ANTM] Antimony Coin - Plagiarism whitepaper on: April 17, 2021, 03:36:29 AM
Nice catch, I haven't seen a lot of coins that are element based so Iam thinking that this is just the start of more coins that are derived from elements. I don't get how they are still operating the same way with this whitepaper, do they even put effort in it?
2152  Other / Meta / Re: Get Notified when quoted - on forum feature on: April 17, 2021, 02:58:14 AM
I would rather prefer a direct link to alert page in blue bar than going through 'My messages'. But I get the gist.
I just click or tap the [new] on the topics that I have previously replied and just check if I get quoted by other users, it is much faster to do that because if you are not quoted then you can just go back and search for another or click another [new].
2153  Other / Meta / Re: How can I delete my forum account? on: April 16, 2021, 10:06:23 AM
What you said is what is in my mind, but since the account is no longer useful for him or her, I think the best option is to delete all the post made and leave it empty since is not useful, beside if it happen to change the email address the account will still belong to the user, that's my opinion
You can probably just abandon it altogether, I mean are there any identifier that you don't want people to be seeing in that account that deleting it is the only way? Maybe you can do what you are saying but that is a pretty tiresome thing to do compared to just abandoning it.
2154  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is joe biden on the right track? on: April 16, 2021, 09:23:42 AM
A boomer deciding the future of the newer generations is not exactly the right track in my opinion. I would say that what USA is doing altogether isn't that right on track, remember that they continued bombing Syria in the first months of Biden's Presidency. I haven't seen any satisfactory thing happening in USA right now, so I would say that no, Biden is not on the right track.
2155  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will there be a war? on: April 16, 2021, 08:47:19 AM

It's very likely that there will be war as it's what nuclear weapons are for which Ukraine is wanting to have. Whichever country that Russia and China might likely quarrel with, the US is always there pushing to bomb each other so why shouldn't they bomb each other since they can just shoot their missiles from apart and not looking for a war field instead.

If Ukraine will allow this to happen, its their country that will be destroyed, God knows how many will die and human rights are not there to fight for them.
It will be the end for everyone if there is ever a nuclear war and trust me that I don't think that these nuclear countries are going to want that because the war has evolved, we are currently on the age of war where it is information, economy and technological advancement is the primary weapons, a nuclear war is going to be problematic for both sides because the winner won't get anything but rubble and radiation.
2156  Economy / Services / Re: will rent my apartment in Croatia for currency on: April 16, 2021, 07:29:36 AM
You could probably have more success if you put an Airbnb in your apartment and put some payment options that include cryptocurrency. You also don't have a picture of the apartment for the people to check out whether it is worth renting it out.
2157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Early signs of crime with bitcoin. on: April 16, 2021, 06:51:52 AM
Crimes happens everywhere it is inevitable that bitcoin will be used for it too, to be fair laundering happens to fiat more often than to bitcoin, and as far as I'm concerned if crimes with bitcoin happens more frequent than of fiat I don't see any problem using it, I will still rather have my assets digitally than to put it in a bank that has less than 1% increase of investment. Bitcoin is more versatile so as long as these type of crime can be caught then it doesn't bother me that much.
With bitcoin getting more recognition, I think that we are going to see more bitcoin related laundering since more people are going to know about it. You are right that bitcoin is versatile and that it won't be a problem if the crimes are caught but the problem is that crimes overtime get more crafty as time goes by.
2158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The variety of Bitcoin related investment on: April 16, 2021, 06:09:49 AM
The thought of bitcoin being a bubble during the bull run and all-time high days won't be stopped. You just get used to it from those people who keep on saying that because you and them are not in the same situation. While you are enjoying the days because you own bitcoin, them are not. Those bears that are giving the thought to be scared in the market will always be there and most likely, they are easily affecting the newbies just like me before.
Agree, I mean there is probably no way for them to shut the hell up because they don't seem to be affected by any reason and I admire their indomitable will to stand by their principle but we all know that they are wrong so trying to argue with them isn't going to result in anything good, maybe some will change but that is a rare thing to happen to a bear. Also don't go with the current Bitcoin ETFs, they are not as secure as traditional ETFs.
2159  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase secures eSports partnerships on: April 16, 2021, 05:22:29 AM
~
How did you say that the OG is way more better than EG? Is it just because the OG is the 2 time champion of The International? How about the majors that the EG and OG are invited? Do you see that the EG has always getting the higher position or ranks than OG? This is not just OG are the 2 time champion of the international means that the OG is the more superior team all over the world. Team Secret also they are one of the best teams in which they always sweep the finals all of the major that they are playing.
In terms of popularity though, who do you think is more popular than the two, yes EG has more but in terms of who will come to your mind first, I don't think that EG is the first one to come and now that you mentioned Team Secret, pretty sure they could snag that sponsorship if they want too.
2160  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase secures eSports partnerships on: April 16, 2021, 03:59:28 AM
I believe we will not only see them in eSports but also in real life sports all over the place. Cryptocurrencies are a hot topic and visibility is worth a lot to them for the onboarding of new and especially young customers. I can easily see them on the front side of a soccer jersey in various soccer leagues. They are sitting on a huge pile of cash ready to be invested in promotion and sponsoring.
Well, that is a given thing to happen because they are a public company and they have to do everything that they can to be known to the public, I do love that they are advertising in eSports but my problem is that I don't like that they are partnered with Evil Geniuses because there are more teams that are far better than EG like OG but maybe the reason is that they are an NA team.
