and can we leave the threats of physical violence outside please?

All of you, tone it down and in fact just stop.

IE has made his position clear. Thats someting he can deal with, as for the rest, remember, this thread is about BlackCoin and business, not a monkey poop flinging contest.

If it goes too far the delete button gets used.

Our liquidity needs to be significantly more before GoCoin would join. We need to focus on building infrastructure, app and services for now to build in value. As that value increases we become a far more attractive proposition for not just GoCoin but many others.

Adding features is aprt of the overall plan as are the many other things that make a coin a robust offering.

BlackCoin has a bundle of features alongside the businesses springing up using it. The move to get any digital currency adopted is a long road, one we are well travelled down now. Pushing ahead, meeting and working with investors and industry and the community to make the whole BlackCoin 'business' a successful one.

We ARE on the radar, this we know, this means the work must continue to get us to a point where the conversation goes from us asking "When can we?" to them saying "We would like to work with you now!"

How odd!? Goes straight thru here! ah well sods law.

Go to the Coinkite websiute and get yourself signed up guys. BlackCoin and Coinkite Cards being given away from Wednesday.

I can open it w/o issues...
The SSL certificate (CloudFlare) on the site referral page has a valid from date/timestamp of ‎08 ‎June ‎2014 12:33:05, which here in the UK has yet to be reached (11:10am).  It's most likely a localised issue with CloudFlare and not CoinKite themselves

Thanks Stuart Smiley

As I've said before and I'll say i again : if you need tickets to an event, I'll try to pull what little strings I have for a press pass.

It's doubtful I can get two people in, but one should be no problem Smiley

The only problem is this will work best for events which I will be attending as well, so the USA ones are definitely out of the question.

However, for the upcoming EU ones, let me know who wants go go where and I'll see what I can attend myself as well.

Do keep in mind that I don't have the BC community fund so everything I attend is paid from my own pocket, or from donations on CryptoArticles, which are usually next to non=exissting Smiley

Keep me in the loop and I'll see where I can help Smiley

http://www.coinsumm.it/ theres this one I'd like to hook into
have a look

wel we also have CoinSummit http://www.coinsumm.it/ coming up which is one I could/would like to attend. £540GBP s no small beans. Total package inc travel is about 1.64 BTC or 6000 BLK and as its just a train journey, the travel is a short commute each day. Your verdict?

So, thats an easy one to add to the list and get get done Smiley

as for Russia and Israel.... do we have people there? I know that the guys from Spondoolies tech hold BLK and they're Israeli as we had a real good chat at Bitcoin2014 in Amsterdam. I'm happy to go to this one for Business Development opportunities

as for Hong Kong, I'll get Gritt to cost it up so we can see if its possible to send him to one that side of the world.

Remember, this is something I advise anyone of you to do. Go to local Bitcoin meetups, clubs, group, seminars and conferences that may be near you. They're great places to meet other digital currency advocates and inspirational when it comes to ideas!

throwing ideas out there, looking for feedback

Quote from: Soepkip, Reddit
Hello Community! As you might know we've done several events so far around the world to get the word of BlackCoin spread by showing face. TheDoge earlier went to the NY Crypto Con, StGNU ran around at the Toronto Bitcoin Conference and me, maarx and Vizique showed face at BitCoin 2014. Next to that is my own trip to Miami to meet the MaxBorgesAgency and not to forget Vizique' trip to the XBTerminal' Launch Party.

We are showing face and we feel like that is important for the growth of BlackCoin. Not only finding out about new cool projects within the Crypto Currency space, but actually talking to companies that could soon start supporting BlackCoin. Not only does it give trust to the company but it shows these companies that we are serious about BlackCoin.

In two weeks however another important conference is coming up, namely the Bitcoin in the Beltway 2014 conference in Washington DC. We are currently planning to show face there with me, TheDoge and StGNU as a team. However, there are costs.

We have the funds left from the Community Bounty Fund that we have set aside for exactly these things. However since the costs are a bit higher then the usual conference visit we'd like to know your thoughts.

The costs would be:
Flight Soepkip - 1300$
Hotel Soepkip* - 250$
Flight TheDoge - 170$
Hotel TheDoge* - 250$
2x Tickets - 600$

2570$ - BTC: ~ 4 BTC = 14200 BC

There is currently 20800 BC left in these funds, so that would leave us with 6600 BC for future usage. We'd like the approval of the community to use these funds for this trip.

To save costs me and TheDoge will share a room.

Source: http://www.reddit.com/r/blackcoin/comments/27imal/blackcoin_boots_on_the_ground/

For ~ 18k BC , we can get McKie, TheDoge, Soepkip in Washington. We already have this money we just need approval.

I'm personally fine with this. I think it would be good for them to show face.

Would like some reflection on it afterwards, though.

I'd like to add my support to these guys going to the conference. If the Community would like to support them then that would be great! We have already shown that having "skin in the game" as it were by turning up to these events across the world has a direct and positive impact on our image and the way were looked upon by our peers in the industry.

To date, the effects have been immensely positive and BlackCoin is being talked about and held (!) by Bitcoiners all over the world. Face to face interactions, shaking peoples hands and looking them in the eye is an unbeatable method of networking.

Ultimately though, its up to you guys. I hope you support Soepkip and the guys, especially considering all the marvellous work they have done so far and continue to do!
So, over to you...

Thats good news Wink the Wall Street Journal!

Not every day you see an Alt Digital Currency out there like that!

And as we see, there's more good news about BlackCoin being put on Chinese exchanges. This improves liquidity. Another piece of the Digital Currency Puzzle and all part of the gerater fabric of BlackCoin adoption and penetration into key markets.

I've heard a lot of noise lately about "development" and to be honest, a good point was ruined by the delivery and manner in which it was managed. It's always disappointing when a team goes off the reservation and believes it has the only answers for the problems at hand and at the same time excluding all the other good work being done across the spectrum by the Community. Whats more, it harms the very investors that are allegedly being protected? Ironic I must say. Anyway, enough of that as its a distraction from the wider goal and recent news.

Remember, success is a sequence of steps. We are taking bold steps every day. Some online, and many in real life.

Is there a Bitcoin conference near you soon? Can you go? Can you get an invite/ticket? If fo ...go! Get out there and mingle. Boots on the ground in good old fashioned meet and greet. Go talk to the people that are trying to make a difference either in your community/town/region/state/country. To make ANY digital currency a success we need people to get away from the screen and take this out there!

http://www.coindesk.com/xapo-bitcoin-debit-card-launch-month/
https://xapo.com/in/campaign/debit/
Once released Xapo's debit card allows a user to load their account-card with Bitcoins and spend them with ANY merchant as normal, via a standard PDQ card terminal. They automatically convert the Bitcoins to the merchant's local currency, and charge the merchant a fee for the transaction (amount/percentage is undisclosed so far).

While the fees are not ideal, the service being provided looks to be an excellent stop-gap until merchants (both online & retail) begin natively accepting Bitcoin and BlackCoin.

The Foundation (Vizique would be ideal) could perhaps contact Xapo to see if there's an opportunity for them to also integrate BlackCoin into their services, thereby taking advantage of BC's superfast transaction times. Meanwhile we would gain an ENORMOUS market for BlackCoin usage. And as the BC and BTC codebases are similar, adoption should prove relatively simple. Win win.

I completely agree and have already signed up for a Xapo card myself! We will be talking to these guys ASAP. Done!

This also reinforces my comments about getting out there and representing BlackCoin in the wider world at conferences and seminars. These are the things that spread the word in the real world and not just through the internet. CoinSummit is coming up and we aim to have at least one person there representing BlackCoin in a business capacity. To get people like Xapo to take us on board we need things like liquidity and structure, all of which are being built in as we speak Smiley Work to do! Buy BlackCoin, sell BlackCoin! Increase the value by getting people on board.

Coinkite adoption is just one step on our path to success. We have made a lot about Coinkite and rightly so. It's unique in its class at this time, it's a familar device for merchants to use and the ROI can be as fast or as slow as the merchant wants by virtue of setting their own fees. There are however, more devices coming online through this year and we have been building a close relationship with some of them. These guys, XBTerminal.com, are ones to watch out for and I'm looking forward to receiving some in the middle of this year. Another part of the adoption puzzle and greater fabric of use we are trying to encourage. But thats just hardware! All the time these things happen, software is racing along and we're not idle there either. But thats for another time.

So networking, talking to your local buiness community leaders and getting their help to spread the word about Digital Currency to their members, building businesses that exploit the benefits of digital payments, these are all things that make the value of a coin. Trading makes for some intersting profit line, but true value lies in what you can do with it in the real world as well as the virtual one. We aim to make BlackCoin a leader in the digital currency space.

http://www.reddit.com/r/blackcoin/comments/27ba7k/update_on_hiring_coders_for_development_work/

Is anyone able to provide an update on how we're doing with hiring coders to help with the development schedule ?
im not sure try asking in the irc  Wink

Requests for donations were published here and on reddit, and so an update about whther the funds are being used, or likely to be used for the purpose for which they were given, should be posted here.

We are in the process of finalising the memberships. Hot on the heels of that we will be publishing what we plan to do with funds raised. Providing grants to projects is most certainly one of the primary uses of funds raised by memberships.

There's much to do and as we speak there are requests for more people, plans coming together and a more detailed plan of how we will be progressing.

We have been fortunate to have a number of skilled and patient people working in the background putting things together (all for free remember). As these things do come together we will be sharing more and more with you and looking towards the Community for more help in guiding the way we deliver help, funding and resources to the wider BlackCoin Community. Please remember, it's a small team doing a lot of things including their day jobs/college/managing families. We plan to grow the team and will be using our structure of membership to assist us in our growth, for now though, we work hard to get the Foundation in a postion to be useful and as a centre point for resources.

There are exciting times ahead for BlackCoin and as has been seen, its resilience is just one of its core strengths. The fact we are talked about in high financial circles should comfort people when realising this is the start of a bigger process, one where BlackCoin reinforces itself a serious unit of value and is used not just on exchanges to trade but in the High Street as payment. It's exactly that kind of transaction that will make BlackCoin a success.

The Foundation needs a Treasurer.... if there are people out there that feel they have the skills and would like to apply please do to support@blkfoundation.org. You must have previous financial experience and be prepared to be a visible face of BlackCoin, that means a certain level of disclosure and transparency required.

Is there already a decision on where the IE's Wall St. donations are going? Is there going to be a Wall St. event or not?

ne1?

A fair question that does now require an answer as IE is now back selling his wares.

I take no sides and may have missed the update, so please, if this has been answered, just remind me of the answer Smiley

Viz

On the Wall ST. event. I did actually talk to someone in London that was disappointed it didn't happen but it did inspire him to come up with another idea, one to use in the City of London.

IE posted a refund schedule before.

OK Cool thanks, I hadnt seen it.

And yes, the cards are very shiny Smiley Saw one in London. I haven't opened mine Smiley Wanted it in Mint condition, ya never know, might become a collectors edition one day! lol

something about large TV screens in prime location was mentioned.....

We are have long since past the point where we need to pay to be on an exchange.

One of our core components these days is value. BlackCoin is becoming increasingly known in many circles from the obvious crypto communities to the offices and board rooms of major financial institutions. This is fact.

We are developing and beginning to deliver services where that inherent value will appreciate. Those who chose to take BlackCoin on board will reap the rewards. Those who make the process of accquiring BlackCoin, converting into Bitcoin and most importantly FIAT will gain huge ground.

As they say... Always bet on Black.

I DEMAND TRANSPARENCY from the foundation.  Is there going to be an anon wallet for BC or was this just hype?
I DEMAND TRANSPARENCY from the foundation.  When is Legionare wallet comming out?  Dates please..
I DEMAND TRANSPARENCY from the foundation.  How many DEVs are working on new features and who are they?  facts please..
STOP FUCKING WITH INFORMATION BE CLEAR AND DELIVER ON TIME!

I have had enough shit from insider trading information being used against normal people who are not connected to the insider group!

      Further discussions here: http://www.reddit.com/r/blackcoin/comments/278g39/regarding_the_blkhand_pastebins_ama_ask_your/

A quick point to take here...

This isn't Apple you're making demands to, this is a virtual currency still very much in its infancy. If you are an investor / miner you are entitled to nothing but your speculative position in this currency's future value. Should you be a major contributor to the overall future of Blackcoin then please pardon me as I mean no offense. With that being said, your demands have been echoed throughout the community and the devs are currently working hard to deliver upon their promises. Should a month pass without update your concerns would be justified, however, right now your best course of action is to hold and believe in the overall vision of the coin. If that proves to be too much to ask then im sure a handful of users would be more than happy to purchase your stake in BC at current market prices. Take care

Eloquently put.  Speculators & day-traders will do well to print to out your post and re-read it everyday.

The expanding dev community (especially Rat4) of BlackCoin are working dilligently on their projects.  There are no timeframes; the projects will be ready when they are ready.  Therefore out of the Foundation's control.

Meanwhile, to answer Buy Black's queries to the best of my knowledge:
      • When will POS 2.0 come out?  When it's ready.
      • Is there going to be an anon wallet for BC or was this just hype?  Yes, Legionnaire.
      • When is Legionare wallet comming out?  Dates please..  When it's ready.
      • How many DEVs are working on new features and who are they?  facts please..  Many devs on a number of projects, check Reddit.com/r/blackcoin, the BlackCoin news websites (e.g. DailyBlackCoin) or search back through this thread.
      • STOP FUCKING WITH INFORMATION BE CLEAR AND DELIVER ON TIME!  The foundation and us devs don't fuck with information we provide it when we can, and we don't give timescales because we can't.

The current sell price (of any crypto coin) only affects you if you're selling/trading now.  The price today is not of concern, only the future price matters.

Thank you gentlemen for explaining so neatly.

The Foundation is working on a number of things but please do remember we are not doing everything!

Much is being done by the Community, connect with them and see what you can do to make a difference.
