This is fantastic news! I can't wait until more information comes out about this, and project Gotham is fully released, it willbe such a good move for BlackCoin!

But whilst we are talking about good news.. I don't suppose I could ask a favour from the community?

1.) On the donation page, cleanup the part about being a terrible person. I'm content with being a terrible person, but the majority of new  users wouldn't find this to be welcoming nor amusing from a standpoint of mining. Phrase it as open and as welcoming as possible.

2.) The live chat feature is great, however the default username of "Blackie:####" is BAD. You're putting a negative connotation towards users of ethnicity, remove and replace with "BCMP User ####" or "Blackcoiner ####" anything but "Blackie####"

The real question is:  Are they doing enough to get the job done so our hopes are met?  Should the foundation change some things to make it better?  Should Pavel Vasin (rat4) do something different?

No, Pavel is doing exactly what the coin needs. He sees a security issue and he is addressing it.

Everyone wants flashy shit, they want this feature, that feature, fireworks and parades. None of that shit matters if the coin doesn't work. Most of the other PoS coins have had severe issues with their security, even the almighty DRK had issues with it's master-nodes. XC, their Dev turned out not to be the world class programmer they made him seem.
 
This anonymous fad is exactly that, a fad. They will come and go, people's heads will get turned every-time one coin does something that makes a good ROI and it will get copied relentlessly by every alt coming out from that moment.

We are lucky to have Pavel, do not forget that. He is focusing on strengthening the foundation of our coin and you can have all of the features in the world, but the second your coin goes tits up and starts double spending, or screwing  up the network it will forever be tainted.

The people constantly going on about new features for new features sake are watching the price and nothing more. Slow and steady wins the race and Pavel knows better than anyone what technology the coin needs at it's heart to push forward. He is not only in demand by us, but countless other communities too. Is that not enough to prove his quality? If he thinks that security is the number one concern for Blackcoin right now, then we should shut up and listen to him and stop pretending we know better.

Time is of the essence, the innovator will go to the playoffs.  If Pavel Vasin (rat4) cannot deliver (what is needed) in a timely manner, to stay ahead of the competition, then what should we do?  Give up or get more help?  Stop playing ponzi games start coding to make BC better.

Please explain how PoS 2.0 is not innovative?

if you ever read the notes on that ponzi game (i did not like that "scheme" at all despite the fact that it explained what will happen if you play, there could have probably been a better demo use case) you'd know that it was also a test for automated mass transactions, and in the first days when it had to handle hundreds of inputs and outputs in very short time it demonstrated how quick the BC technology is and that it can be used for all kind of near real-time use-cases in a quite impressive manner.

Considering the fact that they appeared around the same time as the BTC38 announcement I would suppose they are related - but obviously that's nothing more than conjecture on my part.  They were funded almost immediately without any correspondingly massive rise in volume/price on existing exchanges (to any significant amount at least) - so I would assume that's because they are coins from many different wallets being transferred to just a couple addresses - sounds like an exchange to me.

I suppose it's also possible that a large Chinese farm was involved in the initial mining and has simply been sitting on their coins in anticipation of having a localized trading platform.  Either way it's likely related to BTC38.

well i actually said that i do not like the idea to do it with that ponzi scheme game at all, yet the transaction/delivery times and automated payouts were very nice when i watched it one evening.
If you are not one of the pump fanatics I apologize, it's hard to tell who is and who is not in that mess of an IRC channel, especially with everyone changing names every 5 minutes

As someone mentioned, at least one of the wallets is cryptsy, the other big one has been filled from 5 others between 4xxk and 1m, all not staking as well iirc. So might well be another exchange. I initially thought it might be BTC38 but one would expect some more activity there BC wise with such amounts, trading starts but it is not yet massive.

So I think panic if it is not necessary. Same is with BTC LTC biggest wallets are exchanges.

PS: 50% of coins are kept on exchanges by regular users.
Like in online wallets.
