2161  Other / Meta / Re: Expiration of sMerits on: June 19, 2018, 10:51:30 AM
I think if sMerits will have an expiration date, people will be obliged or will become more active in giving merits to others instead of losing it, this will actually helps many members like me.
I would not like a hidden force to spend my sMerits. Unless I am not a merit source1 I am not obliged by anything that I HAVE TO spend my sMerits in a certain time frame. However it's a moral responsibility. if I see a post is merit worthy and if I have available sMerits then I will gladly spend it.

1Becoming a merit source is kind of public responsibility to perform the job, IMO.
2162  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I take out "Negative Trust" on my PROFILE? on: June 19, 2018, 10:28:28 AM
How can I take out "Negative Trust" on my PROFILE?  I need your help guys.

I strongly suspect this account is being farmed with shitposts.
Meaning The Pharmacist negged you for being an extreme level shitposter. Here is my suggestion and I hope it will work...
Change your posting behavior, prove that you are here to be a part of the community, keep doing the positive stuffs, keep doing again, and again, and again - then some day contact with The Pharmacist and show him the changes you have in you. Everyone likes positive attitude.
2163  Other / Meta / Re: HELP ME PLEASE MY ACCOUNT WAS HACK on: June 19, 2018, 10:21:30 AM
You can try sign message with that ETH address and sent it to admin, i don't know if admin will accept it, but you can give a try.
I do not think any of the admin will accept that. I remember (I hope my memory is serving me right) last time there was a conversation about only accepting Bitcoin signed address.

Anyway whatever it is, I hope the OP get back his/her account.

Good luck.
2164  Other / Meta / Solve Captcha before posting in a topic? on: June 19, 2018, 01:31:49 AM
I was reading comments of this topic https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4490532.0 ==> Captcha
Then I was reading the comments of this topic too https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2645450.0 ==> List of Accounts which Needs a Ban [ICO pumping accounts]

It's easier to spam when a bot or a user do not need to spend much time on resolving a Captcha.

How about we think of adding a new feature?
Add captcha before posting in a topic and also before creating a topic.

Personally I would not like it but for the sake of keeping the forum a bit safer from these bot activities, I will gladly accept it. I would like to read your views.
2165  Other / Meta / Re: let's cut the bullshit on: June 19, 2018, 01:10:54 AM
I am awaiting a response from yahoo62278 yet. Most probably I will leave the campaign after today. I don't want to be a part of any controversy.

2167  Other / Meta / Re: A way to filter out bogus accounts on: June 18, 2018, 08:09:20 PM
A simple way to filter out bogus accounts is to require KYC.  If an account has been verified, they have greater posting abilities.  If they haven't been verified, they are in read only.  This seems like it would weed out bots and spammers!

I would be willing to do KYC to keep my account!
Another KYC idea!  Grin

I've searched here in Bitcointalk before posting my question. I've found a similar thread but there were no certain time frame for how long I am able to send my sMerits. Please someone inform me. Thanks.
As long as you have minimum 1 sMerit, you can send it to anyone. This page will help you to see your spendable merits: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit

A friendly suggestion, take it or leave it...

There are no need to post same stuffs again and again (post history). You can simply use bump in every after 24 hours.
2172  Other / Meta / Re: Is there any automated system for sending sMerits? on: June 18, 2018, 07:09:24 PM
I've done that within 0 seconds: I open the Merit-button in a new Tab, and when I'm done reading, I merit all open Merit-tabs.
Seems like you are having a luxurious life with all these sMerits in hand  Tongue
Good for you mate, I wish some day I can do the same  Grin

Mystery solved.
Indeed. Never thought LoyceV was going to kill the whole topic  Tongue
2173  Other / Meta / Re: Is there any automated system for sending sMerits? on: June 18, 2018, 06:54:09 PM
AFAIK there are no such automated script yet.

I didn't understand is how can a  member send 2 sMerits for different posts within period of 6 seconds.
May be some day I will try LOL
It should not be that hard if you know which posts you are going to merit.

In America there are more than enough homes to provide shelter for every person yet there are many that are still homeless.  I was in Los Angeles last week and parts of that place look like a 3rd world country with all the tent communities.
You are trying to see the third world from Los Angeles! Wrong direction. Consider staying few weeks in any of these countries...

Just want the admin to know that this "security feature" is a real pain in the ass. It sometimes takes up to 5 minutes to finally pass.  Angry
If you are using tor browser then you face this, at least it happens with me when I use tor. The best thing you can do is, (if you are using a private computer) keep the logged in feature checked at the time of logging in.

Once you will start developing sense.
You think your post history make sense to receive any merit?
