I agree, this place really down hill recent. too many bulls making claims of fake recovery

do not buy into a fake recovery!

we are headed for final capitulation. you have been warned since $680

Haha. Your effort use capitalization and avoid using the words "loss" or "losses" in your reply here are quite telling.

Ha, what do you expect? He's afraid! We will go up to heights no one has seen before! It's inevitable!

oh look it's riiising. you must be a falllling sock puppet account for his bi-polar days. maybe that's why we never see fallling anymore? give up acting falllling, we know it's you.

You need help with your schizophrenia, you're attempting to call someone else a bi-polar version of yourself.... Huh
2162  Economy / Speculation / Re: Something is wrong with BTC on: September 12, 2014, 12:32:48 AM
I agree, having a stable price is better than having a price that keeps increasing and decreasing giving us a false sense of hope most of the time. I personally would rather see a stable lower price than a higher price that keeps changing all the time.

For use as a currency YES
For trading NO

But Bitcoin is a currency, isn't it? (Or, at least, that's its final goal)

Yes, it's like foreign currency but there is no country it belongs to.
When measuring Bitcoin against the dollar it can be both money or a speculative product.

It's volatility currently undermines its usage as a currency but makes it a good speculative product (stock).
The more trading, the more stable and usable as a currency.

2163  Economy / Speculation / Re: Fed. Reserve manipulating Bitcoin price? on: September 11, 2014, 11:00:59 PM
why are people so upset about price movements.. what your mindset should be is this..

price rise: profit
price drop: buy cheap coins to profit later
price rise: profit
price drop: buy cheap coins to profit later
price rise: profit
price drop: buy cheap coins to profit later
price rise: profit
price drop: buy cheap coins to profit later
price rise: profit
price drop: buy cheap coins to profit later

if your mind set is
price rise: i wish i bought sooner
price drop: i wish i sold sooner

then you are in the wrong game and should try another hobby

I disagree.

The only strategy is...

price drop: buy more
price rise: buy

FIFY

2167  Economy / Speculation / Re: Coinbase expansion into Europe on: September 11, 2014, 08:36:57 PM
Wow, this is really cool.

Finally Coinbase is coming to Europe. Lets hope lots people and merchants will use Coinbase.
And the great thing, if both the buyer and merchant are on coinbase they dont even use a blockchain transfer and you can safe on the blockchain fees as well (those might actually increase in time. And faster than having to wait for several verifications.
Probably you would only need to use the block chain for transaction where the merchant uses a different payment processor.
But then again, if they get a monopoly they could use internal transfers for basicly everything.
Come to think of it, it would be basicly like PayPal. Just cheaper because its based on Bitcoin ...
and, uhmm, doesnt use bitcoin internaly to avoid fees and have faster transaction.
Hmm, but well, if you can skip that billion dollar mining industry you would safe a lot energy. Yeah, green, save the planet and things ...

Hmm, yeah, this is cool. Right?

Yes let's centralize Bitcoin through Coinbase and stop mining :')
2168  Economy / Speculation / Re: BUY Bitcoin today or get left behind on: September 11, 2014, 08:32:52 PM
How many accounts do you have falllling?

you have no prove. fallllling is one person with his opinion, he makes very wise and informative postings, but now maybe he is gone and will not come back because of rude comments made by the bitcoin bulls

I think maybe you should listen his good advice, and cut your loose before it's too late

Proof:
We are going to build a Venn diagram in our minds.

Take all the posters on bitcointalk, separate them mentally into two groups:
Those who begin all their posts with no capitalization, and those who don't.

Okay, now take the no capitalization group and separate them into two groups:
Those who know how to spell "losses" and "loss" and those who don't.

Alright, now take the group unable to spell particular words and separate them into two groups:
Those who know who fallllling is, despite their relatively low post count and short time on these forums, and those who don't.

Finally, we'll eliminate all of the stragglers (i.e. people who are not fallllling alts) by separating out those who claim fallllling makes informative and wise posts.

You should end up with about 4-6 usernames, of which you are one.

You could have stopped here and reached the same conclusion. Regardless, the logic is appreciated.

I find myself on this forum less and less because of the exponentially decreasing post quality.

I agree, this place really down hill recent. too many bulls making claims of fake recovery

do not buy into a fake recovery!

we are headed for final capitulation. you have been warned since $680

Go cut your looses and while your at it lossen up a bit Tongue
2169  Economy / Speculation / Re: BUY Bitcoin today or get left behind on: September 11, 2014, 06:28:27 PM
give up your false hopes of a recovery. you have been warned since $680, and you were warned yesterday to not buy into the false recovery.

listen to what I say and cut your looses before it's too late.

Falllling you do know it's "cut your losses" ?
This is the main reason we know about all your sockpuppets.
2170  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we reaching a tipping point? on: September 11, 2014, 06:27:07 PM
This is good news iff....

If Bitcoin is the first tier then I can understand banks being a second tier that charges cutomers to store and protect their money or....
Banks can then invest money and give customers a portion of the profits as interest.
Anyone in the world can verify that the banks aren't fraudulent. Liquidity cannot be faked since Bitcoin decentralized ledger cannot be faked.

I do see how the current banking system can adapt to Bitcoin.

I however do doubt that governments can still provide our current (unsustainable) wealth without being able to fake the shit out of our monetary system.
2171  Economy / Speculation / Re: BUY Bitcoin today or get left behind on: September 11, 2014, 06:17:50 PM
stop lying to all the people to make your own profit
bitcoin is dying off and you know it
get out before its too late! big crash is coming
there is no uptrend or correction

falllling how are your bans working out?
How many active clones do you still have?
2172  Economy / Speculation / Re: Coinbase expansion into Europe on: September 11, 2014, 04:22:58 PM
I live in central Europe and we already have many reliable and easy ways to buy Bitcoin.
Of course it's good that a company like Coinbase is expanding but it's not like Europe is suddenly able to buy Bitcoin.
2173  Economy / Speculation / Re: sold my alts, all in BTC on: September 11, 2014, 02:00:14 PM
For alts look at http://coinmarketcap.com/ it will show you which coins have the best marketcap.
Also look at how long it has survived.

In my opinion everything under $10 million should be avoided. Above $100 million can be viable. Above 1$ billion is safe.
LTC has survived as long as Bitcoin and is a good investment in my opinion.
BTC is always your best bet.
2174  Economy / Speculation / Re: sold my alts, all in BTC on: September 11, 2014, 11:02:56 AM
Most alt are shitcoins. Too bad you can't go short on them Sad
I don't see Litecoin as an alt btw

Yes i'm ready for the launch!!  Cool
2175  Economy / Speculation / Re: You heard it hear 1st on: September 11, 2014, 11:00:47 AM
Bitcoin will be the next thing like mobile phones, the internet and computers. In the beginning they seemed stupid/useless but once widespread and adopted a trilliondollar business.
2176  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is stabilizing? on: September 11, 2014, 10:47:00 AM
The thing is right now with Europe quantitative easing is making the USD strengthen. This has kept a lid on the gold price and commodities in general.
Wait until the cracks show again in the USD and gold starts back on the march. You will see an uber-explosion in BTC price as a proxy, I promise you.

But will this take a long time ? Perhaps.. Perhaps BTC will fall to $100 by then. But maybe it kicks off tmw.. Hmm

Have you got source for the QE story? As far as I know they are only trying to avoid it.
2177  Economy / Speculation / Re: Just lol at ppl telling others to hold on: September 11, 2014, 10:36:32 AM
This thread shows the slow sentiment change - when the down trend started it seemed obvious to hold, but it was actually better to sell. Now the sentiment seems to be that holding is ridiculous - that probably means that most holders have sold and it can go up again.

I hope to be that rare purple unicorn that has hodled through 2014 Wink
2178  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best way to understand Bitcoin price fluctation? Experts? Soothsayers? Anyone? on: September 11, 2014, 12:26:29 AM
greed and fear are good motivators for volatility.

Other than that it's
 - traders looking at technical indicators and trading accordingly.
 - services converting to and from bitcoin using market orders.
 - miners creating supply and converting coins.
etc.
2179  Economy / Speculation / Re: If fallling didn't exist, what would the price be right now? on: September 10, 2014, 09:21:33 PM
Falllling will not exist here until his ban is over.

You guys are too presumptuous. falllling has been (temporarily) banned yesterday, and currently he's creating a couple new accounts to spam with which I'm nuking (post deletion and ban). Too bad for him, because that will only make rehabilitation of his main account worse.

Unfortunately there's no indication of when a user is banned, a feature I wish this forum had.

PS: You'd do a lot more good if you simply reported offending posts/threads, because that notifies me. Report button is at the bottom right corner. (Noone in this thread has reported anything the past 3 days).

Tip to all. Report his clones too. Cut off his income Smiley

Blitz the problem is that he is doing nothing wrong other than venting his doomsday message like a broken record player on a speculation subforum.

Is spamming the same message over and over again something we should report?
What did you ban him for if I may ask?
