2364  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nobody owns any bitcoin (well basically nobody!) on: June 04, 2014, 07:44:24 PM
Let's just hope everyone finally starts buying.

Let's rather do something, or say something. I mentioned Bitcoin a couple of times to my co-workers, bought a Bitcoin T-shirt, now one of them owns one bitcoin. It's kind of not much, and it took some time to get the guy interested, but it's still something.

I was told by a colleague about bitcoin. I started mining some for the fun of it.
Another colleague wanted to get in. Eventually nobody got in (incl. the guy that told me about it).
When the bubble came I had a few BTC and other colleagues wanted in.
I explained the fact that it is high-risk and uncertain.

Now about 5 colleagues of a team of 25 own BTC (>1BTC).

So yes there is adoption but most see long term financial benfits or find trading fun to do. Smiley

(This is in Europe btw)
2365  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will BTC reach $50,000? on: June 03, 2014, 11:04:11 PM
I agree.  It's not ideal, but it's the best we have.

For all we know it could turn out to be $80k  Cool

For real: $50k is excessively high priced but with bitcoin you just don't know. $50k would make me rich enough Cheesy $5k - 10k is more realistic goal to pursue first, then look at the whole again and plan.
2366  Economy / Speculation / Re: One Satoshi = $1 trillion on: June 03, 2014, 11:00:37 PM
haha that would be crazy maybe in 200 years or longer.
I would be happy if 1 satoshi hits 0.50$-1.00$.
And you are going really far with this speculation.
And that would be really hard to pay with bitcoins then, because cant divide a satoshi.

WRONG: Yes you can divide satoshi. A small update in the client will make a trillionth of a satoshi possible. Division of bitcoin is just a clientside limitation.

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/FAQ

One exception is the "satoshi" which is smallest denomination currently possible.
2367  Economy / Speculation / Re: One Satoshi = $1 trillion on: June 03, 2014, 08:40:04 PM
We already passed the 1 trillion zim dollar  Tongue

Yes  Cool
2369  Economy / Speculation / Re: 5 digits before the end of the year. on: June 03, 2014, 07:03:20 AM
Putting my head on the block. I see people talking about 3-6k, and from what I gather predictions for the big jumps tend to be too low. That plus really big money looking at us right now.

I don't see it hitting 5 figures by the end of this year. In-fact I don't think it will go over 1500 in this year.

I think you are right on. Never forget, all bitcoin holders were Goxxed. That $1,100+ ATH was artificially inflated...and imo I think the $700 range is what the ATH *should* have been without that whole mess. I could see $1600 as the new ATH this year but once it creeps up to the $900-1,000 range a lot of people will probably sell off and figure another dip will come and buy back in lower once that happens. If the past is any indicator expect resistance, corrections, and of course, lots of despair.

Unless a protocol flaw is discovered or the US drops a bomb with overregulation, I can't imagine prices going under $500 USD again - ever. I only think 5 digits is possible this year if there is a large stock market correction and/or a loss of faith in the USD/economy - but even then it'd be a long shot due to many factors. Henry Paulson warned congress there'd be martial law if they didn't get the 08' bailout - and I think I read after that they got the power to not even need to go to congress in the future when an emergency happens. I just don't see "them" allowing it to come that close ever again...and for damn good reason.

I'm not arguing your opinion on $1500 this year (although I believe it will be higher) but I don't find your comments too convincing.
You are correct in assuming there is possible fraudulent behaviour in bitcoin land, we all know it's being manipulated by people with loads of money.

That said:
Is it me or was China the main driver of the last ATH (and ATL)?
Is it me or did Gox only crumble after we hit the bear market and people wanted to go fiat and it wasn't there?
Do you really think America is the main driver of bitcoin?
Why do you think America will be able to "overregulate" it?
If the USD economy blows out do you think most will go for bitcoin? Why not EUR, CNY or RUR?

In my opinion all the bad news events are relatively normal for growth. Looking at the graphs this cycle wasn't much different than other years.
2370  Economy / Speculation / Re: $620 - time to buy? on: June 02, 2014, 06:18:46 AM
This thread is a little late. The time to buy was at $460. Where were you then?

The time to buy is anywhere under 2k!

If you can afford it hoard it!!! Cheesy
2371  Economy / Speculation / Re: $620 - time to buy? on: June 01, 2014, 07:00:34 PM
The price seems to have dropped steeply all of a sudden from about $675 to $620. I'm thinking of picking up some more btc, I feel like it will inevitably go back up again. What do you guys think?

We are probably hitting the next bubble. We will probably get a beartrap that will hit a lower value anyways we will probably be skyrocketing to a new ATH.
I strongly believe that if you want to buy a full 1BTC then this is your last chance unless you are really wealthy Wink.

P.S. I do not advise investing with money you cannot afford to lose!!
2372  Economy / Speculation / Re: URGENT, Bitcoin is on the verge of collapse !!! on: June 01, 2014, 06:57:16 PM
When the F@$&!!! will people realise the Igorr chart is based on trendlines that a 3year old could do better *sigh*
2373  Economy / Speculation / Re: This forum is full of future millionaires on: June 01, 2014, 06:55:53 PM
Doubt 10 BTC would be enough to become a millionaire but 100 might be.

What about 41.193725231 BTC?

Depends on how long you wait. Let's hope it makes you a millionaire in 2017 Wink
2374  Economy / Speculation / Re: POLL - Are we on the edge of another bubble? on: June 01, 2014, 06:53:40 PM
Do you think we are at the beginning of another massive bubble or we will have major corrections way before that?

We are at the beginning of another massive bubble AND we will have major corrections all the way up, keeping everyone in a perpetual state of nervousness and adrenal fatigue.

We are in the beartrap of the next bubble. We will get a small selloff and then the bubble will commence.
Let's hope the top of the beartrap is $1000 Wink

P.S. I have no idea what I am saying, do not trust me Cheesy
2375  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will the next bubble start? on: June 01, 2014, 06:51:00 PM
According to "the chart" we will first hit the beartrap and then enter the mega bubble.
Let's hope the bear trap is $1000 or so, then the bubble will be $5k+ Wink

I put a vote on June where there will be a small consolidation just before the real bubble starts.

P.S. This TA is based on the skidmark I made on my TP.
2376  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it my imagination or does Bitcoin tend to gravitate towards $666 on: June 01, 2014, 06:49:36 PM
Next stop 6666$ Tongue

+1 The number of the beasts Wink
2377  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Observer Effect (over $1000 by 16 June) on: June 01, 2014, 06:48:33 PM
Having two houses on different hemispheres gives you permanent summer or winter, whatever creams your twinkie Wink
2378  Economy / Speculation / Re: This forum is full of future millionaires on: June 01, 2014, 06:43:21 PM
When I got into bitcoin my stance was invest now and wait for a few years and see what it will bring. Most people said I was a fool and others said it would be great but they didn't enter.
I also stated I would get out in 2020 just before all coins were mined.
Also I will partially step out if I can buy a nice house here in Europe (with pool) and live the life I would love to live (this still includes working cos I like my work), a half million Euro should be enough Wink.
If my perfect scenario pays off I will be doing 2 international vacations per year and skinnydipping in my pool after work Cheesy

Looking at these predictions I will be a multimillionaire in 2016 and possibly a billionaire in 2020 Cheesy

I'm loving this bear market and hope some of these preditions pay off Smiley
2379  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 31, 2014, 03:59:09 PM
I would estimate $620 so $648 is closer Smiley
2380  Economy / Speculation / Re: Speculate High price on 3 June and win xPredict Free 10 day trial on: May 31, 2014, 11:08:27 AM
