$8,391 local top from merely a week ago.
This is the complete destruction of bears!
If we ever close above 8350

Not quite ... weekly close over $8600 from my PnF charts.

Whoa you never see Ruby Labyrinths come up for sale anything below 0.50 is well bought unloaded so 0.60 loaded. I already own one but watching. This is the first I have seen #19 on the forum and Max said there are only twenty ruby labyrinths in existence there will be no more. GLWS!

Market is looking tired. Time to visit the daily 50 MA? 50% retrace of this last leg up is $5856 which is close to that 50 MA.

225  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Tangem Custom Cards For The Community on: May 23, 2019, 02:00:11 AM
Well, up to the community to decide. The 'Celebrating 10 Year of Bitcoin Talk' design is fine, I would pre-order them no problem. If one of the graphic designers here wants to work with @Tangem on a more colorful custom card that would be great also. Looking forward to trying out the Tangem notes in the trial kit I have on the way.

Here is close to what I was thinking printed on a white card (sorry for the poor rendering, best I can do hacking an idea together:) Of course the wizard would need to be redone with fewer colors I imagine.

I think it is very cool the way it is, original without being so digitally correct.  I like it Cool

Credit to /u/mavensbot who created the wizard and originally posted on reddit at r/bitcoin 6 years ago!

For a limited edition to sell out I think it would help to be a white card with a colorful whimsical image that pops, makes us smile and reminds us of the magic we all felt when we got into bitcoin years ago.

@rbdrbd I think your bids are invalid as minimum bid increment is 0.05 per OP

I would be in for 100 @$5 each.

I don't mind the design Tangem posted but would make a couple of changes. I think the forum blue would be more suitable and the bitcointalk.org should be a little bit higher.

I would love to see what some of the artists here could design, eg. polymerbit, papersafe etc

Suggestion: maybe delete the phrase "Celebrating 10 Year of Bitcoin Talk, 2009-2019" also the stylized blooming onion bitcoin design just place the bitcoin wizard in the clean white space using as much color as possible. You could even move the bitcointalk.org to the very bottom replacing the quote to provide more clean white space for the wizard logo. I just really like the wizard:-)

Bitcoin is open source. You cant file a copyright over it.

You can file the copyright -- anyone can. Whether or not it will be granted is a whole 'nother story.

According to this article, the copyright was already granted to be effective as of April 11, 2019.

https://coingeek.com/bitcoin-creator-craig-s-wright-satoshi-nakamoto-granted-us-copyright-registrations-for-bitcoin-white-paper-and-code/

Take a look at https://davidgerard.co.uk/blockchain/2019/05/21/craig-wright-registers-us-copyright-in-bitcoin-0-1-and-the-bitcoin-white-paper-what-this-means/

Quote
What can Wright do with this?

Not a lot, really.

Registration is considered prima facie evidence of the claims in the registration — if the registration occurs within five years of first publication. That’s not the case here.

Wright might have some problems suing for copyright violation — for instance, if he wanted to sue those “protocol developer groups” he claims “bastardized” Bitcoin. The software was licensed under the open-source MIT License, which allows all manner of reuse, open or proprietary. The license text is:

    Copyright (c) 2009 Satoshi Nakamoto
Distributed under the MIT/X11 software license, see the accompanying
    file license.txt or http://www.opensource.org/licenses/mit-license.php.

The license granted is:

Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person obtaining a copy of this software and associated documentation files (the “Software”), to deal in the Software without restriction, including without limitation the rights to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the Software, and to permit persons to whom the Software is furnished to do so, subject to the following conditions:

The above copyright notice and this permission notice shall be included in all copies or substantial portions of the Software.

That is — the MIT License is explicitly a grant of rights to do whatever the hell you like with the software, as long as you include the notice text.

Open source licenses are generally treated as perpetual and irrevocable. There is also estoppel — you can’t release software, encourage its reuse, wait ten years and then sue people for using it under the license you released it under.

So it’s entirely unclear what Wright or nChain get out of this registration. Apart from unimpressed press coverage.

@Tangem https://i.ibb.co/fGcvBtz/Tangem-btt.png looks good if not colorful, needs to "pop". Wording should be "Celebrating 10 Years" you left off the "s". If that wizard artwork could fit on the card it should be impressive. However maybe too many colors?

Bitcointalk.org unfortunately does not have a distinctive logo just a generic created in SMF. However it might be possible with permission to use the logo of bitcoin.org:

I converted the original SVG image to PNG. Perhaps bitcoin in the logo could just be changed to bitcointalk.org. A collaboration between the community here and Tangem would be cool! @13TNLjs3oLfvTNuyb5ZL92DkG if a limited edition card is created, perhaps a run of 1000, can the cards be serialized? I would also suggest that like the trial kit the cards be fully reusable, unlimited times, but with a printed value of 0.01 bitcoin.

The Android app can already be downloaded, and especially if reusable I think these will give Coldkey some stiff competition.
Maybe someone here has ideas for logo of the Bitcointalk?

Sure cards would be fully reusable. Serializing of the cards is an easy task. However, I think that we should not use denomination (printed value) on the cards: the cards would arrive unloaded, perhaps someone would like to load them with a different amount.

Here is an idea from a post in the thread discussing a collectible coin for the anniversary of the forum:

Rather than a collectible coin consider 1000 serialized custom reusable Tangem cards instead.
236  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Bitcointalk.org collectible coin? on: May 20, 2019, 05:25:37 PM
Like others who have mentioned I like the idea of a custom printed Tangem credit card sized reusable hardware wallet. Tangem has already expressed interest in working with the forum to create a limited run of collectible, serialized Tangem cards, maybe 1000. They can fund the $5000 cost for a run of 1000 cards with a pre-sale on their website, they are just asking for help from the graphic artists here to come up with the design. See the Tangem thread. I already have some of the cards on the way to try out, unlike Coldkey they have the advantage of being reusable.

Can someone DL this app and try it? I'm not an iPhone user.

Does it allow spending bitcoin outside of their affiliated stores? It would suck if I HAD to spend my bitcoin on Starbucks.

How much are the fees, and how are they structured? Do I pay to deposit or withdraw or spend, etc. ?

You can see a list of stores here. No user fees. I believe Flexa is just integrating their payment network with existing POS machines, those that already enable you to use your phone to tap and pay. The problem is the Spedn app is iPhone only now, not Android and according to Flexa TOS any user can only use the app to buy $100 of merchandise per week. That is better than nothing but pretty limited. Hopefully they will raise the limits once the program matures.
238  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 19, 2019, 10:36:15 PM
Bitcoin moves up and down as a ladder-pattern. Once again, Bitcoin fastly moves above $8000 after its correction to below $7000 days ago. What's next station for bitcoin during this bull run? I guess that in best scenario, when bitcoin gets enough support and momentum, it might moves up around 20 percent from its current price. That means bitcoin might reach somewhere around $9600 or even higher a little bit. Retest the resistance around $10000, why not?

$8600 is the tipping point of the see saw ... if we break through $8600 we can easily see $10K. If we can't push through $8600 I think a retest of $6000 is looking likely.

Just put him on ignore.

The spending limit using the Spedn app on iPhone is limited to $100 per week. You have to read the TOS at Flexa to find that. Have not read that in any of the press releases.
