221  Economy / Speculation / Re: KncMiner XBT: 131 BTC traded at 232.63$ on: May 20, 2015, 11:28:28 PM
So in the short term at least they won't be dumping coins every week anymore.  Long term they might have to buy if this pace of volume keeps going for several months.

Well they still have a total of 7400 coins that they could dump. But at least for now they can sell more than their daily mining amount on nasdaq and if the volume on nasadaq keeps up at its current pace they will either need to start moving their 7400 coins over to the ETN and/or start buying coins for the ETN.

If they sell 400BTC/day for the next 5 days they will need to move more BTC into the fund.

Their next usual dump day on bitstamp would be between 5/25/15 and 6/1/15 so we will see what they do around those times.
222  Economy / Speculation / Re: KncMiner XBT: 131 BTC traded at 232.63$ on: May 20, 2015, 09:51:46 AM
The 4000 bitcoins that they moved (and didn't sell) just prior to the XBT release would come out to 800,000 shares.

For the total of their 11,400 bitcoins they could have a total of 2,280,000 shares (if they put it all in XBT Provider).

Right now they mine 144 bitcoins a day, so if they can sell at least 28,800 shares per day on nasdaq, they can stop dumping on bitstamp. Which they are definitely surpasing that 28,800 shares/day right now.
223  Economy / Speculation / Re: KncMiner XBT: 131 BTC traded at 232.63$ on: May 20, 2015, 09:26:06 AM
Anyone know approximately how many bitcoins KNC Miner has in their possession to sell?

Edit: Through their miners or their miners + orders.

Edit #2: It looks like they have 7400 bitcoins in their possession and potentially 4000 bitcoins in the XBT fund so far.

Also they dump their coins on Bitstamp about 300-500 at a time (sometimes as high as 3000). But overall they are net accumulators of bitcoin.
224  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Are People So Pigheaded About Future Bitcoin Price? on: May 20, 2015, 07:36:02 AM
There are always winners and losers and the winners are usually those who do their homework and pay no attention to emotion, fear, hype, or opinion.

Place your bets gentlemen.
225  Economy / Speculation / Re: You are a bitcoin ponzi victim ! on: May 19, 2015, 10:26:07 AM
Thank you for the public service announcement. You are far too easy to spot nowadays, you've gone full beartard rather than your usual "I'll try and be cute" beartard mode.

Anyone know what the trade volume was at the end of 5/18/15?
228  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anyone has a link for the Swedish stock exchange ticker opening today? on: May 18, 2015, 09:30:46 AM
Is a few hundred bitcoin more or less than was expected for the first few hours?
It doesn't sound like a lot to me, I can't see the price rocketing from a few hundred buys..

Lets hope some bigger fish want to get involved soon.

About 300 bitcoins in trades within the first 2.5 hours it's open. Not bad at all. Not crazy, but not bad. Especially with most of the western world still sleeping.
229  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anyone has a link for the Swedish stock exchange ticker opening today? on: May 18, 2015, 08:48:13 AM
Ahh turnover is denoted in SEK not shares.

It should be the number of shares? 200 shares = 1 bitcoin

331,995 / 200 = 1659 bitcoins traded

Well, it isn't! Click on the link in my post above and you will see clearly -

volym = 34,263 = 171 BTC
Värde = 34,263*9.69 ~ 332,000 = turnover in SEK

What is the correct translation of Värde? Google is giving me "safety" so not very useful. And what is the possibility of that site being wrong?

Ahh turnover is denoted in SEK not shares.

It should be the number of shares? I thought turnover is supposed to watch the asset moving? 200 shares = 1 bitcoin

331,995 / 200 = 1659 bitcoins traded if turnover is counting shares that is
231  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anyone has a link for the Swedish stock exchange ticker opening today? on: May 18, 2015, 08:23:37 AM
So far 1400 full bitcoins have been traded on Nasdaq Stockholm in the first < 1.5 hours of its opening.

Note: Each ETN is 0.005 bitcoins
232  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nasdaq is not going to use Bitcoin on: May 18, 2015, 01:35:57 AM
"The" blockchain meaning that they are using bitcoin without saying that they are using bitcoin. They also said they are using open asset protocol and colored coins, which is clearly on the bitcoin network.

Phase 1: Use the word "blockchain" instead of bitcoin to get rid of any negative connotations
Phase 2: People realize that they are literally using bitcoin
Phase 3: Profit.

233  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull Market Confirmed, Next Growth Phase Incoming on: May 18, 2015, 01:31:38 AM
bull market confirmed? how so? we don't even manage to maintain a price advance for so many times. it gets dumped to the well known $220 - $230 level each time.

You'll see my friend, you'll see. This would be a bad time to be in full cash.

What kind of TA are you using? Is it based on your own observations or based on a well known branch of TA? Over the last year there must have been thousands of prediction charts posted here, but most of them were wrong, even the ones based on well known forms of TA. What makes you so certain that your prediction is going to work out?

That's probably because TA is a big joke.

235  Economy / Speculation / Bull Market Confirmed, Next Growth Phase Incoming on: May 16, 2015, 10:56:55 AM
After each growth phase there are 3 downward slopes of price declines with each slope become more flat prior to the next growth phase. Looks like most growth phases have 2-3 slopes with 3 slopes being the current max. 1 is the steepest drop, 2 is more flat, and 3rd slope is most flat.

We just finished our 3rd slope down, which is the most flat (and thus a bit more price "stability" recently). We have recently broke out of the 3rd price decline slope meaning that now we should move sideways and then up up up.

Bull Market Confirmed. Cheesy

236  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-05-15] Honduras to build land title registry using bitcoin technology on: May 16, 2015, 09:19:09 AM
Proof of existence of land ownership is one of the blockchain's biggest killer apps right now.

Especially in corrupt developing countries.
237  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crowdfunding Bitcoin Nodes on: May 14, 2015, 05:15:12 AM
Why would you buy Bitseed devices, when you can just run the software on computers you already own -- or ones you can buy really cheap? I guess I'm at a loss to imagine this being a venture anyone would give you money for.  Maybe you'll want folks to help you pay for the electricity to run the nodes with, too?

My main PC uses 400 watts/hour, heats up my room and I have 1 of them. Bitseeds only use 10w/h with minimal heat and minimal space impact. Old PC's have very inefficient PSU's and create a lot of heat, so I won't buy those cheap old pc's off ebay. If you're not interested that's okay.
238  Bitcoin / Project Development / Crowdfunding Bitcoin Nodes on: May 12, 2015, 10:59:48 PM
So I currently have 3 unique physical locations each with a different IP address and I was thinking about buying 1-3 of BitSeed's Bitcoin nodes to place 1 at each location to keep the bitcoin network healthy.

The product is here: https://bitseed.org/product/blockchain-node-developer-version/

If you'd like to help contribute to the bitcoin network by adding additional nodes (but can't host them at your specific location) I will be taking donations here: 15L58tNwXissWBYtV9KSCGE98uT3hHn2yC

If the crowdfunding is successful I will post images of the purchase confirmation along with the actual product when its hooked up for verification that your donations were spent to purchase the nodes. These nodes will be online 24/7 for years, are not subject to VPS shut downs/closures, and I will personally increase their storage capacity as the blockchain size grows myself.

Best Regards,
Lyth
239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Вo you protect your anonymity? on: May 10, 2015, 09:35:41 AM
Anonymity is important for multiple legitimate reasons that can occur in the future.

1) It stops potential miner censorship
2) Advertisers can't focus on you
3) Stores cant raise prices for things that they know you will 100% buy there
4) If you run a business you don't want your competition to know what your profit margin is
5) You don't want your friends to know how many bitcoins you have and ask you for money
6) You don't want criminals to target you to ask for ransoms or rob you etc
7) The list goes on...

...

Rgr that, 10-4 re Chinese bubble indicator.

*  *  *

There is so much going on re economic troubles (and more worrying for me: "Economic Totalitarianism") that I am actively fishing for even MOAR practical ideas on financial self-preservation. And I have done a fair amount of "preparing" over the years...

I really hate that our .gov and the ultra-wealthy & ultra-powerful have so corrupted our system.

Have we REALLY gotten to the point where it is now (or will be soon):

-- Gold
-- Bearings (our small business run by my in-laws in Peru, our "Plan B" country)
-- Bitcoin (mix them and hide them well)
-- Bullets

that will preserve us as individuals?

Ugh.  As they write at Zero Hedge, the guillotines are getting hungry.......

Keep me updated on what other financial self-preservation ideas you have in the future, it's also something I'm interested in.
