I am and forever will be long term bullish on Bitcoin. However, I think it is pretty clear right now that there is ZERO confidence in the markets. It is pathetic that we cannot even stabilize above $430 after what happened the other day. Many weak hands are scared and leaving the market. Scared money doesn't make money, so please let me have more of your cheap coins I think we will see $375 and stay around 4xx for a long time though before anything jumps off again. Im fine with this... more "cheap" coins for me too. As long as adoption rate continues to climb I am happy. Price is being kept artificially low, wether it be manipulation or loss of faith. After that is done.... we all know what is going to happen. People thought they were getting cheap coins when the price fell to $500. I've bought all the way down and proud of it Coins at $500, $400 and $370's are all better than paying for coins in the $1,000+ range. I have automatic weekly buys, so keep selling me your coins please

I bought all my primes back in August between 16.95 and 19.95. They have all ROI'd and I had them on autopurchase every 25 MHs. But since the Prime pricing fiasco I shut it off. I've paid back the credit card I bought them on so it's all free money now. That is quite an impressive amount of hashing power you got there. I also was able to buy my hashlet primes at $15-16 so I'm pretty happy about that (I should have bought more at the time though!). How much BTC/day is your farm making now?

Getting the hash points is nice and may allow you to do other stuff in the future besides just buying more miners. But honestly I am a firm believer in owning my bitcoins on my private PC where only I have the private keys. So my advice is maybe accumilaye a few days of mining on the zen cloud then withdrawal to your private BTC wallet. That way you don't take a huge risk if something happens to Gaw AND you still get a few hash points little by little.
I just wouldn't want anyone to get "Goxxed". So I suggest trying to withdraw at least until 100% ROI then maybe reinvest the future earnings or whatever else you have in mind.

Wait, hasn't this happened recently.
Price drops 5%. Everyone panics, shits their pants, it's the final capitulation, it's over. Oh noes.
Price stabilizes, rises a couple percent, everyones like wow this is over. TO DA MOON.
Price drops another 5%. Everyone panics, shits their pants, it's the final capitulation, it's over. Oh noes.

Price drops another 5%. Everyone panics, shits their pants, it's the final capitulation, it's over. Oh noes.
Price stabilizes, rises a couple percent, everyones like wow this is over. TO DA MOON.
but the price is still dropping overall.
That is essentially the exact definition of a shakeout. Price falls, small recovery, price falls more, rinse and repeat until the whale thinks he has made all the weak hands sell their coins off. Then places massive buy orders to make the cheap buys and lets the market build the price up again. So far nothing points to someone doing this to buy back lower. If hints were left, the shakeout wouldn't be as effective. These are educated people with lots of money....

I fail to see how this ties into bitcoin at all.
|
|
|
A year from now we will look back at these prices and call it the "The Great Shakeout of 2014". I'm coining that term right NOW. Someone quote me on this please.
|
|
|
My counterargument for a rally is that too many people expect a massive one, but nobody really buys.
BUT all the weak hands have already sold and when the price rises they will be bringing the fiat back + more coins are in the hands of holders now.

BTC was featured on Australia's flagship, fear pedalling, commercial network, gutter journalism driven, current affairs show.... Typically dumbed down but still gracing the screens of millions of "mainstream" fuckwits across our wide brown land. The closing comment is a killer, and delivered in a deadpan but brilliant manner. It's only short so give it a watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZbsJ_fz-zg"where do you see bitcoin heading" A: "To the MOON" with a serious face and everything. I LOVE it

Yeah I am considering selling one of my hashlet gifts, but it hasn't sold yet Also I'm not sure how the hashlet primes mining on two pools thing works out as I haven't received two separate payouts from it. I will probably just start using the boosting feature. There is about 600 hashlet orders on the market right now and hard to find what the market price for just one is.

I saw this when I logged into my Zencloud today: A message from the CTO:
There are still remaining issues that are being worked on and resolved as quick as possible. We will also be reconciling old accounts that have not been paid out correctly due to merging/splitting/boosting/double hash.
Here are some of the remaining issues and statuses:
Double Hash not paying out correctly -Fixed -Need to reconcile all accounts for payout issues Double Hash lasting longer than 12 hrs -Fixed Caching issue on client browser (balance/HP/Miners) -Fixed by allowing the admin to clear the cache for a user Ability to apply boost upgrade while mining a second pool (double hash) -Fixed Withdraw fee not properly deducted -In progress Customer perception issue when upgrading SHA hardware to Hashlets. Hardware to Hashlet upgrades reset the billing start date to 0 free days (by design) -Hashlets cannot have free days like hardware devices Customer perception issue concerning when payouts occur for merging/splitting HashletsBefore, Hashlets that were merged/split were paid out immediately. This caused much confusion and extra bugs than anticipated. We have changed this so that merged/split Hashlets are calculated but not paid out until the following round of payouts are run Some customers are not receiving the total sale price amount when an item is sold on the Hash Market -In progress Double Hash events aren’t being removed after they end -In progress Intermittent issue concerning splitting and merging Hashlets on some user accounts -In progress but still unable to replicate consistent behavior Some customers are reporting that they are not always able to initiate certain Amps at certain legitimate times -In progress
On top of these items, there are about 20+ other small backend issues that have been worked on and are currently being addressed.
A note and apology from the CTO:
I am truly sorry for the events that have led to such poor performance from our software release this past week as well as the past few weeks. This has been embarrassing for me personally and for my company. We have grown past the point of being able to push minimally tested software and you have my word that any software from this point forward will go through a normal QA process in the staging environment before being released into production (as it should).
One of the struggles here has been that we feel the pressure to release Prime Hashlet features as promised. We have been working hard to do so and will continue to make good on this promise. We also realize that in order to improve the trust and confidence that you as the customer has in our ability to provide a stable and secure platform, is of the utmost importance above anything else.
That said, the changes mentioned above may delay the rapid feature releases but I believe it is more important to be sure customers are taken care of by ensuring new features/upgrades get paid out correctly in order to preserve our company brand and integrity.
Thank you for your business and continued support during this challenge. I will update this post when we have more information on the remaining items (along with additional ones that appear during the week).

Are you actually an MIT instructor? If you can add words I'd do something like this, but keep the bitcoin text orange. Otherwise the question is standard logo vs double ring. Double ring vs Standard And I would definitely stick with orange.

Miners will have to turn off equipment as mining cost > BTC selling price for them. These guys were probably selling most of their mined coins daily anyways, it's actually probably a good thing as the people with deeper pockets and more efficient miners can keep a higher percentage of their coins and can hold coins while mining at a loss for a longer period of time.
