I don't understand the other wallets, they got to much confusing shit in them

You should just learn to use electrum or blockchain.info wallet (which is really really basic as long as you don't use the advanced features). Running a full node just to make BTC transactions is a bitch. If you're going to run a full node keep it up as close to 24/7 as possible to support the network, otherwise you should save yourself the headache Tongue
1182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: September 24, 2014, 02:51:13 AM
To the IRS Bitcoin is a commodity. To the rest of the government it is potentially a money and thus you would not be protected by stating that you are simply selling a commodity. If you are going to be exchanging a lot of bitcoins/USD you really need a money transmitting license and you WILL need to comply with KYC-AML laws otherwise they will nail you to the wall, if for nothing else but to make an example of you.

It's not worth jail time. Just don't do it, and if you're going to do it, make sure its on a very small scale and with trustworthy people. IE selling a few coins to a friend probably won't land you in a federal prison Tongue
1183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GAW Hashlet ROI Tracking on: September 24, 2014, 02:46:00 AM
So my hashlet prime is still paying out roughly the same amount of bitcoins per day (0.00063178 yesterday) even though the rate of the hashlet solo's IE the multihashlet is only paying out 0.00029489 BTC per day. And those numbers are WITHOUT me using the free 50% boost on my hashlet prime daily Smiley   Whatever Gaw is doing on their zenpool with the hashlet's prime is definitely worth my ROI time not getting any worse.

I haven't reached ROI YET, but I am getting close Cheesy

1186  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 21, 2014, 05:08:31 AM
So how does it feel after all that cheering for cheap coins that this time the price doesn't go back up?
Nobody is dying to get back in at lower levels. Nobody cares about cheap coins. Nobody wants to get burned after seeing Bitcoin crash month after month.
This is what you people have been cheering for. Happy now? Enjoying your cheap coins?

I am enjoying my interval scheduled purchase of cheap coins actually. Smiley
1187  Economy / Speculation / Re: The "miners are dumping thousands of coins every day" argument on: September 21, 2014, 05:02:37 AM
As large miners have to pay electricity bills and the price of bitcoin keeps downtrending, they continually have to sell larger percentages of their mined coins to cover their operational costs (warehouse, electricity, maintenance etc) causing a downward pressure.

1189  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2014-09-19 CCN: Bitcoin Price Goes Down? Good! on: September 21, 2014, 01:51:19 AM
Yes Bitcoin value has gone way up over the past few months as its usability has greatly increased. Unfortunately it's just its price that has gone in the other direction.

Grats man. You had quite an amount of capital to invest there and you may have bought at the bottom (hoepfully Cheesy  )
1191  Bitcoin / Press / [2014-9-19] GeekCipher - Bitcoin Price Collapse 9/19/14 on: September 21, 2014, 12:59:05 AM
Bitcoin Price Collapse 9/19/14

The recent collapse in Bitcoin’s value is one more reminder of the volatility involved in cryptocurrencies. It’s also a reminder of human nature: Everybody loves something when it’s up, but even Bitcointalk users will act disillusioned at times when it’s way down. Perhaps people are simply forgetting one of the first rules of investing. Buy low, sell high, and sometimes you’ll have to ride out the times when something is going through a rough patch if you’re sure it’ll work in the long run....

Found another goodie that supports my 10% rule.

"If over 10% of your submissions are your own site/content/affiliate links, you're almost certainly a spammer."

1193  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 21, 2014, 12:40:09 AM

market doesn't  shouldn't give a shit what price was last year. things changed.

Why does last year's price no longer matter? I'm sure there are people still holding from a year ago that would care how their BTC portfolio looks.
1194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reddit Blocked Our Pro-Bitcoin, Anti-Banking Site BanksWorstFear.com - entirely on: September 21, 2014, 12:11:13 AM
You previously admitted to posting a lot of your own content to many reddit subforums, posting your own content more than 1/10 times is considered spam on reddit no matter what the content is. The big reason why you got banned though is for paying people to post your articles for you on reddit and upvote your articles, which is against their ToS. Without spam prevention reddit would be pretty useless.

Which thousands of people do  I guess. Maybe reddit is cracking down a lot recently.

The sad thing is; if it was just someone not attached to the website; or just disguise yourself; then its basically under the radar to spout out supposed "Spam" from the same site.

Doesn't their rating system work? People vote for what they like. What more is needed?

"posting your own content more than 1/10 times is considered spam on reddit no matter"

that's not an explicit rule. "a general rule of thumb is 10% or less of your links should be your own site"
http://www.reddit.com/wiki/selfpromotion

WRONG

Did not pay anyone to post MY articles. Did not pay anyone to upvote my articles either.

If I recall correctly you were giving out bitcoins for people to make reddit posts/comments/votes w/e for your sites content.

Reddit rules: You should not vote up only things from your domain or project, or have any other employees or fans do the same
I said "posting your own content more than 1/10 times is considered spam" reddit says "a general rule of thumb is 10% or less of your links should be your own site" essentially same shit. And I'll let you surf to find the source since I know you will......reddit also says, and I'm paraphrasing, "anytime you post content that you directly benefit from, consider yourself on thin ice".

Reddit has NOTHING to do with free speech. They host that content and have the right to allow whatever type of posts they want while filtering the rest. If you want FREE SPEECH create your own website and host it there....just like your doing with banksworstfear.

"You thought I just made up multiple author names to trick those of lesser intelligence than you that we're a crew of writers?"
By a "crew of writers" what you really mean is that you pay others to write articles for you so that you gain brand recognition and revenue without having to create all the articles yourself.

I think banksworstfear is a good website and we need sites like that. I just think you need to stop whining over reddit not allowing your content links over there anymore, move on and keep doing what you're doing. Your acting like some elementary kid that wants everyone to "play fair".

Yolo: You need to tell me your purchase amounts and what date. Not just that your from Austria >.<

idontwantaname: Bitcoins sent! By the way, are bitcoin addresses that start with a "3" multisig? Or something else? I haven't seen one of those before.

1197  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 20, 2014, 10:46:54 AM
What is the past? A couple of dips and strong rebounds over a period of several months. Price gets higher every time.

I honestly don't understand how you can say this...if it were true, then BTC would be at an ATH wouldn't it?

The truth as I see it, is that since the beginning of the year BTC has had a couple of dips and strong rebounds, however the price doesn't get higher on every rebound which has lead to a steady decline all year.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a troll looking to spew FUD around, I have some BTC myself, I just don't get it when people don't appear to acknowledge the decline.

If you look to each "crash and rebound" prior to November's massive bubble, you will see what mooncake is talking about. I'm going to steal a quote from adamsgt by saying "digital money is happening, and it's happening here" anyone that doesn't have at least some investment in it clearly cannot see the future possibilities of how this will change money forever.

I'm sorry guys long day for me. I will be making 9/19/14 and 9/20/14 payouts on 9/20/14 during the evening.
1199  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 20, 2014, 06:49:44 AM
I'm keeping the champagne corked for the moment...

I've managed to lower my average buy price a little over the past few days - and more fiat still yet to hit the exchange (hopefully will clear tonight) - but I must admit I've been much more gunshy with this crash. Much more so than ones in the past.

3 months ago I would have thought of this as a fantastic "last chance" buying opportunity, now I'm not so sure.

I've been holding all through this one and only bought a little, but I'm honestly not sure I will buy any more if we do go sub 350.

I will be watching the bounce from this one very closely... I've stocked up on Coffee, Coke..... and bourbon.

Cheers guys, whatever happens from here i hope i get my monies worth...

I think just being in it for the long haul is a better strategy. Don't get to worried about the prices over months. Look more at a 2+ year investment. Even great companies like Google (great cash flow, hardly any debt) has hard times intra-annually.
1200  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 20, 2014, 03:05:20 AM
Noob question. But on Bitfinex (just started today) it says

Order Count    Bid Price    Amount    Total Amount

Is the "amount" in bitcoins? and whats the difference between amount and total amount?

Amount is in bitcoin, yes. Total amount is the sum of all offers before that one (the book depth up to that price).   Wink

Thank you very much for that explanation.
