OK, here's the truth: I am using an image library. I found a cute cat and a pair of sunglasses. But I combined them myself to get the best looking cool-cat-in-sunglasses ever made :-) The competition is rolling pretty slow, I guess people are waiting till the last moment to play - the last moments could be interesting! I've just crafted new signatures you can use to get referrals here in the forum. I think they are a bit cleaner, plus they mention all coins we support and the exchange. These signatures will already contain your referral link. You then earn 0.2% of what your referrals wager (that's 20% of house edge). Thanks for the feedback.
1. The "exchange bankroll" is indeed separate from the site bankroll. That's why the "max amount" comes from - you cannot pull out more than we've put there. We'll increase the "bankroll" for sure, even later today, but we wanted to make sure everything works as expected.
2. The fees can change in the future. 3%-4% is what we consider a "safe zone" for now. The exchange ratios fluctuate pretty much and at this point we'd rather avoid potential losses. The rates are 2% "worse" than those at Shapeshift, but there are no other fees like network fees.
3. I was indeed thinking about opening exchange bankroll for investors. However I have no clear idea how this could be done. Well, I have an idea actually, but first I wanted to make sure the exchange is working in the first place, and there is enough daily volume to even consider going this way.
Tell me -- do you think a lower fee, e.g. 2%, would make you use the exchange more?

We have just launched a simplistic exchange service, A picture should be worth a thousand words, right? It's simple, it's fast, it works. The exchange rate is 3-4% higher than what you can find on major exchanges. There are no other fees, and just to remind you - our dynamic withdrawal fees are on pair with real network fees (right now it's 0.000064 BTC, 0.000808 LTC and custom gas amount in ETH). I am glad it's finished now. The demand was pretty high and I can already see exchange transactions. Keep it coming! Cheers, Ethan |

hey Ethan , is it possible to add the starting date of investmentsin next to the active open investments ??
I know it's not a big deal but it would be nice to see when each investment started in case users have multiple small investments so we can track exactly the ROI in periods of time
I'd have to remove something else from the table or redesign it a bit. If you have any suggestion what should be removed or how to make everything fit into the table, I'd be glad to make it better. I'll add `created_at` field to the API response with the next code push, it would be then possible to do this via TCP API. Cheers, Ethan |

Hi, here are some updates:
1. For the last 2 weeks I've been trying to find a memory leak in the server code. I've been pushing several improvements to the code and to the server configuration and it looks like I've finally found it. From now on YD speed should not degrade over time (till the next restart). I'll keep watching the metrics, but it looks like the issue was nailed.
I am sorry if you experienced any delays or lags when using YD. Rest assured YD is our priority project (my recent sleep deprivation proves it) and we do everything we can to keep it running for you!
Anyway, the delays/lags should not happen any more.
2. I've also pushed several improvements that should improve connectivity for clients with slow network interface. This means less disconnects and better responsiveness.
3. Unfortunately the other things I've been working on (e.g. the exchange) has been delayed. It's coming, most of the code is already written, it still needs some work though. Servers stability is definitely our priority (see (1)), but we'll keep working on the exchange until it's completed.

Other things got delayed a bit because we've been pretty busy optimizing the servers for higher traffic -- but in the end YD is much faster, snappier and more stable than ever. Lightning chain is still far to go because it is like imperfect chain. There is rumors that whenever people sending money through lightning chain, sometimes it will dissapear, not just some of their coin but sometimes it takes all of their coin and it gone without trace. If it is good to go then lightning will be the best option to decentralize it but for now there is no way to use lightning chain on here
Well, we need to be a bit "conservative" - I don't want to implement any new tech that is not proven to work. I think we'll keep using conventional deposits and withdrawals for a while, but I am keeping my eye on LN and other innovations that pop up. Last week I was really busy optimizing the servers, it was far more work that seemed. Bets should be snappier, lags should not happen (unless because of network connection). We'll start with a simple "instant exchange" that would let you change between LTC <-> ETH <-> BTC. It will not be order-based - maybe this would come later. Right now it seems to me that a lot of people just want to exchange coins, not necessarily need a fully-featured exchange.
So, we'll start with something simple and maybe build something more.
This week I was really busy reconfiguring our infrastructure - if you noticed slow bets early this week, this was my motivation. I think I found why the bets were getting slow - actually it was the server processes that kept consuming more and more CPU cycles over time. There appeared to be an issue with garbage collection - it was far too aggressive and was unnecesarily consuming CPU. Sometimes a single bet would take 15 seconds and connections kept restarting.
Anyway, the bet speeds are back where they should be. The major limitation should now only be your location - if you have 50 ms ping to our servers (Europe), your max bet speed would be 10 bets/s. USA and the rest of the world should get around 5 bets/s, but bet speed should be stable now. Most lucky are Ireland and UK citizens obviously, they should enjoy around 30 bets per second :-)
I hope the servers will run stable now! It caused me a lot of nerves and frustration, so I am really happy to see snappy bets again!

+1. Looking forward to investments being opened up. I can feel the enormous pressure on opening the investments. I am really happy to see so many people willing to invest in LTC and ETH.
