2201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Make-believe toy money (Bitcoin) is coming to an end on: February 09, 2018, 01:46:51 PM
Told you so long ago to get the hell out.

People with financial sense have sold long ago - the price is now constantly going ever lower with only the "HODL'ers" being dumb enough to "buy the dip" - but the dips will just continue to get deeper and deeper.

And, yes, in here people are desperately screaming "FUD" at anyone who are not 100% believers in their fantasy crypto money - but at the end of the day, it is only these dreamers who will be owning the fantasy money, and like old pokemon-cards only other collectors might want to buy a few of them at pennies on the dollar.

Funny guy. Must've felt good saying that "told you so" line to people right? Guess what, people who did actually "bought the dip" are well in profit already. And btc is steadily regaining ground which means the worst is likely over. These fantasy money you're calling would make a lot of people rich in the real world. But then you probably know that already Cheesy

I don't know about that line. Technicaly speaking, I believe Bitcoin is correcting to the upside right now and more downside will follow soon. Then we can wait for a pull up again.
Personally I don't believe BTC has long term life, it's not special in any way other than being the first of its kind. There are many other coins around with more uses and they are also cheaper and faster to use. The whole "ASIC" business is also disgusting... so much power wasted. Even though, it's not going to stay in low prices in 2018, too many new people jumbing in and only knowing of Bitcoin.
2202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When/How do you cash out? If ever? on: February 09, 2018, 08:47:07 AM
I have two different strategies while trading.

A) The strategy I use when trading stocks: I buy the stocks I like (entry strategy is a whole other matter) and after they've made a good run (usualy more than a month) I start selling on small quantities in every spike up. The next time there is a decent correction (for US stock market, that's about 5% - 10% depending on the stock) I buy back again for every X$ the stock would fall. For example I've sold Nvidia once at 200 and 210 levels, then I bought at 175, 165 and I think 155 or something. Then it went where it's now Tongue

B) The above works fine when you invest in stocks that are doing really well. But if you want to get a bit more greedy, since we're in the boom of blockchain technology... play it risky and HODL!
If you deversify between different coins and pick only those that promise to solve real world isseus, making our world better, you're most likely going to profit the most by holding for the whole 2018.

My coins of choice are XRP, ARK and ETN. ETH is also good but I don't know how I feel about it at those price levels.
2203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ARK - Blockchains Interoperability with SmartBridge 🔹 ARK on OKEX 🔹 on: February 09, 2018, 08:11:31 AM
Huh Quick question:  Say you vote for a delegate while you have 100 ARK in your wallet, so your voting "power" is equal to 100 ARK. If you get another 100 ARK later, does your voting power increase to 200 ARK?
I think I've read that you can vote for multiple people by divining the amount of ARK "staked" to each one. So I though that maybe you got to choose an amount every time you vote.

I haven't vote yet since the cost of voting is too high for he amount of ARK I have. I'll wait until I get some more but I'd like to know how that works and plan ahaid!
yes the more ark you add into the wallet you voted in the more your return is. I think average around 10% annually!

Excuse me but this still doesn't answer the whole of my question!  Smiley
If I add more ARK in my wallet, do I have to vote AGAIN? Or whatever ARK I add into my wallet is counted toward the vote I've registered?

Hey guys,
i don't know why but since today, when i want to launch my desktop wallet, the application stays in background and i can't display it in foreground, any solutions of this problem?

Thank you.

Hmm... I have no idea why this is happening but I'm sure it has nothing to do with the wallet itself. Do you have a backup of your wallet? Maybe you could just delete it (better not permanently) and run it again.
Also try moving it to another folder... Don't ask me why though... just a hatch Tongue
2206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][OpenBeta] FirstBlood.io - Come Play!! 1ST Esports Competition Platform on: February 07, 2018, 11:56:04 PM
wow that's big!
I wonder... will it be solo or team? Probably solo mode is easier to make.
2207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] QBIC [QBIC] - Masternodes, PoW, Secure, ASIC Resistance on: February 07, 2018, 11:33:15 PM
What is this?
http://explorer.qbic.io:3001/address/GczMfW1Vurp5hYV8U5Jfiph1w8a3x4J47r

Depositing then withdrawing back? Devs can cancel deposit after 16 minutes?

The problem is, this is my address, not the above one:
http://explorer.qbic.io:3001/address/GTkuKSdubvbKRMGTr89KMD6yLWNN4zjpm3

And actually, i only receive 1 time, not 2 times as the transaction history shown.

Would you mind explaining about those one, dev, seriously.

What is wrong with those transactions? It seems to me that the 1st wallet received 7 QBIC and then he sent them somewhere 16 minutes later.
And what about your wallet? You got 2 rewards, probably for 2 weeks?

Hi everybody, wallets at cryptoPia have been ... well I do not know exactly since the only info is that there is no connexion to the network. That means you can not send Ark you obtain there to the ark wallet. Has anybody got any idea about that (why and how long?)
yours

Everytime I've come across such a problem, they have just fixed it after a few hours or days without me sending them any ticket. It's not like they're going to answer sooner than a week with all the volume they've got!  Cheesy
2209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / No Temperature Reading Using PCI-E Riser (EVGA 1070 FTW) on: February 05, 2018, 10:31:46 PM
Seems like I'm the only one who has that problem!

I've bought those risers: https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B073FDW75Z/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Connected an EVGA 1070 to the 8x and also tried the 1x slots, there was no temperature reading in the EVGA Precision XOC or rather... it was stack at 35C no matter what.

It's the 1st time I'm using PCI-E Risers so I'm really troubled... is this normal? Am I doing something wrong?
2210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][OpenBeta] FirstBlood.io - Come Play!! 1ST Esports Competition Platform on: February 05, 2018, 01:37:39 PM
I was a Gamecredits investor for a long time and I remembered 1st blood was head-on competing with GC late 2016 and early 2017. These two projects were fighting for a place on coinmarketcap.  To be honest, I never bought a single 1st token.  I thought the team picked the project name "First Blood" was and is a creepy name.  I think the team should rebrand the name with a different name.  Rebrand the name to something that more a gaming company, and not so to creepy.  Look at these project and tell me if you would invest in them; Fucktoken, Putincoin, Clintoncoin, sexcoin, etc...FirstBlood? seriously? Just my opinion. You are all welcome to shit on my comment if you are disagreed. I will consider to invest in this coin if it is rebanding its name and with a new stronger roadmap.  I am waiting to see where this project's going next 6 months compares to Unikoin, MobileGo.

This project is over. They take our money.Joe is in our project like advisor.Check the team on the link below:
https://pikciochain.com/en/

investing in this 2 project will be losing of your money

Do you mean the "Gamecredits" project or the "1st blood" project? Because to me, 1ST seems pretty alive.
2211  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Exchange Withdrawal Fees (Compilation) on: February 04, 2018, 12:14:31 PM
Thanks mjglqw! That's very insightful.
I'm glad I picked KRAKEN before this whole craze that has sent most exchanges to block registrations started, it seems to be the most fair in pricing.

They also had 0% fee during January (starting about the middle of January though) as part of a compensation for bringing the site down for servers upgrade. The upgrade was scheduled but it took them more hours than they had been expecting.
2212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Mining 0.1% DevFee v8.0 🔥 on: February 03, 2018, 05:24:47 PM
Let's try how that works.

The best practice from the developer's side which I like is the way Fireice UK published his XMR Stak miner.
He put a 2.0% fee on it, called it "donation" and gave instructions on how to change the donation from the source code and compile the miner yourself. That way I'm able to choose and I'm mining at 0.5% fee.
2213  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Exodus wallet on: February 03, 2018, 01:45:10 PM
Shapeshift is charging enormous fees if you're exchanging small amounts, exchanging 10€ of a coin to another would give you a worth from 8€ to even 5€! It depends a lot on how much you exchange and what you exchange.
I don't know if there are hidden fees in the exchanging but what I want to know is if they put fees for sending Ethereum or other coins.
2214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: February 03, 2018, 12:13:20 AM
Hey Guys, is now a good time to buy Monero? Im not sure what to do  Huh

I'd invest in Electroneum, similar but cheaper.

Never listen to a n00b in this thread, and I mean don't listen at all not do the opposite. Just completely discount them until they have made a rep when they are trying to give advice. And always just throw the shills on ignore.

Wow people are getting triggered easily here!!  Cheesy

They might as well bought some today, I sow a nice price spike to the upside.

You can use this email to contact the devs for help or send the signed message, i heard they answer in a day or two.

i can confirm that ethereum refund has been smoothly received from the first batch.

I've already done that and they answered me, but it's been a weeks since their last answer. Maybe they're too busy which is fine, but I'm worried maybe they missed my email or went to their spam or anything.
I'll send them a new email now with a "read" request! ^^

^ This has happened to me too, but I send from an exchange so I'm even more uncertain...
I'll send another email as well.

Yep that's why I can't sign, I've also sent from an exchange. But there is a solution, don't worry, they just take some time to answer.

I had not checked the ARK's roadmap to Core v2, but just yesterday I noticed it's 56% ! Did it went up? Are we getting closer?  Grin
