-snip-

I've wrote my opinion on Discord about the two choices, I will repost it here.

I voted for the fork, option 2, because I believe it's good for everyone who has invested early and is holding, MN holder or not. This reduction will keep making XDNA more scarce and therefore more valuable. This should increase the price and will reward early supporters. However if the price increase enough, we might climb some BitGun lvls and the reward amount of tokens will increase to almost previous lvls (meaning before the changes) for a few weeks until the next reward reduction occurs, but the project will be ready to support a bit higher emission then while now it is not
1382  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] 🔥IOU Signature Campaign | Member - Hero | 0.0007 BTC /Post 🔥 on: September 14, 2018, 11:52:56 AM
Week 5 has ended!
Hello everyone, payments for week 5 have been sent in this transaction . Definitely have enough for another week.

The devs have asked me to make this rule change. Instead of being able to do a maximum of 30 posts a week, the limit has been reduced to 20 posts. Any posts that exceed this limit won't be paid for.

Questions are welcome!

New applications all denied..

Thanks, Zapo, payment received as always at the scheduled date.

Slap in the face this new rule for us. We can do nothing only accept it but is hard to understand why such a decision when we take into consideration that so many members didn't fulfill max requirement last week and all weeks before?

The only explanation which comes to my mind is that they are not happy with the results of this campaign. Despite that Zapo did everything he can to choose only high-quality posters and check all posts manually for spam. Zapo is doing a great job because I see IOU signatures in all important threads on BTT lately.

Lately, I have worked with a few new ICO's as an advisor and all of them were not happy with the result they achieved in bounty campaigns which were run directly on BTT. After few weeks from bounty start, they didn't sell any tokens which show clearly that there are no investors left on BTT and even worse new ones don't come to this forum for information because today there are other better places to go if you need info about ICO's and all investors are sitting there.

We already see payouts decline in the signature and all other bounty campaigns. Old school advertising on BTT is not efficient anymore. Bounties will evolve in the coming months and I think we will see a decline first and slowly there will be no more signature campaigns anymore or other bounties on BTT. For sure making so much money from this campaigns will not be so easy anymore or even not possible.

Either that or a bullrun in the cryptocoin prices will create a new craze and we'll see new and returning "investors" returning here.

To be honest since Renesis is flying under the radar atm with very few miners, if an ASIC was to be implemented then we'd know it by the high flying difficulty!

I wouldn't worry about ASICs until RESS is in an exchange and on the top of the mining profitability charts; especially since the Renesis team has said they an algo fork ready for deployment in case they notice an ASIC intrusion.
1384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ARK - Blockchains Interoperability with SmartBridge 🔹 ARK on Binance 🔹 on: September 14, 2018, 09:53:11 AM
I have added Phantom on my Ark wallet, but do you know how can i backup the private key of this new address ?

The Phantom wallet is using the same private key as your ARK wallet, so you don't have to backup anything.
How did you add the Phantom coins in the first place? Didn't you use the ARK's private key? Well, that's the one you need to keep safe!

Found an interesting article here: https://techcrunch.com/2018/09/13/its-the-end-of-crypto-as-we-know-it-and-i-feel-fine/

Quote
Crypto is falling because the people in it for the short term are leaving. Long term players – the Amazons of the space – have yet to be identified. Ultimately we are going to face a compression in the ICO and, for a while, it’s going to be a lot harder to build an ICO. But give it a few years – once the various financial authorities get around to reading the Satoshi white paper – and you’ll see a sea change. Coverage will change. Services will change. And the way you raise money will change.

I feel the same for most of the author's points. We who are here for the long term shouldn't care for the prices. I've bought some coins and I was planning to cash on some of them on 2019 to buy an ultra wide QHD+ Gsync HDR monitor using BTC instead of dropping 2000$. Bought some XRP as a saving account, planning to save them "forever" in my hardware wallet in case I ever need money for a special need. Bought some ARK which is a delegated proof of stake coin in order to build a slow passive income for the future.

So what if the prices spiked on 2017 and then fell on 2018? If I had 1BTC on 2017, I still have 1BTC on 2018. I'm hoping for a broader integration of cryptocoin payments from shops so as to not have to turn my coins into fiat and instead use them for purchases... so 1BTC will always be 1BTC for me! Grin

Hi, I am product manager of one pool (I will not specify names so they do not banned). We would like to add to our pool the ability to “mine on developer Claymore " - how can we do this? Could you please support with that question? Could we talk about this in private messages?

Are you a product manager and yet you don't know how these forums work? You probably tried to contact Claymore and you couldn't because of your forums rank... Well let me tell you that other members can't contact newbie accounts either
1387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ARK - Blockchains Interoperability with SmartBridge 🔹 ARK on Binance 🔹 on: September 13, 2018, 05:46:44 PM
Great news! The team is constantly making updates, can not wait to touch it all
how much of all the Ark coin will be in use?

Currently the circulating supply is 105 mil plus 30 mil that is reserved for the Ark team.

Each year 154k of new Ark is forged.

There is no hard cap, reward halvings like with Bitcoin. The supply will keep increasing by a small precentage.

Wow I haven't looked into how many new coins are added every year, that's about 0.1% only, but are you sure it's correct? Since delegate voters get almost 10% of their holdings yearly, isn't it logical to assume that the total coin creation is somewhere between 10%-5%? I believe that not every coin in circulation is "staked" on delegates, but 0.1% new coins sounds too little.

Hi everyone, T-rex made another miner ( 0.64 ) that gives your Renesis Hashrate a boost of around 5 to 10%. It is actually the best miner to use.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4432704.0

Have a nice day.
It’s realy good. And power consumption is lower than 0.6.3

I'm happy with my Enemy miner though, have anyone tried both miners and has any results? Is there any significant difference between them?
1389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v11.9 (Windows/Linux) on: September 12, 2018, 08:50:37 PM
I would say skip v12 and go straight to v20 .... you know ... like one company with a green logo did! Roll Eyes
Ofcourse you'd have to make a big leap in the miner as well, like making use of the tensor's core 125 TFLOPS or something.
1390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: September 12, 2018, 04:46:24 PM
Alright i get Ripple is a good currency to invest and with its current value and from the speculation i have read here it can make anyone a millionaire. But my question to you is with the current bearish trend it follows, is there any thing in the coming months that can trigger a hype? With the current price i am happy if it could reach 1.50 USD. Your thoughts please.

The good thing with projects like XRP, ARK, BitShares and a few others is that they don't need hype. As long as there is an actual product with use cases and customers, the hype is unnecessary. It'll help boost the prices higher and faster, but we don't need to count on hype in order to make a profit by screwing people who will buy high.

I happen to have just the thing for you my man! Cool
This thread managed by pugman is one of my favorites to learn about Bitcoin while I'm doing the research my own and also earn merits.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2968050.0
This is a thread for both experienced users who want to share their knowledge and be rewarded merits and new users who want to learn from the questions and answers of others.
1392  Other / Meta / Re: Analysis - Ranked-up Users – Section/Subsection profile (& Local Boards) on: September 12, 2018, 07:26:35 AM
A great analysis as always!
There's one thing I noticed that was missing from your post though: You don't mention which period of time is taken into account in the above numbers, only that it's until last Friday.

I guess the calculations are for the period since the merit system was introduced, but (A) it's not clearly stated and (B) I don't remember which month was the merit system introduced!
I apologise if I missed something.

I've some doubt about the raised amount because after crowdsale till now they did not raise any amount or else the bar is showing wrongly? But when I check in ethers can transaction are being done by the investors and let's hope we get some update from the team?

Please delete these scrap messages. There was no fund raising or ico. So what the hell are you talking about??

Well... unlike you who even though you're a new guy you're a legit forum user, most of the new accounts are just spammers or even automated bots. They type the same non-sense in many altcoin announcement threads believing they'll have some kind of gain... Just put them in your ignore list or even better give them a negative trust if you're sure they're bots.
1394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚ ANN - RENESIS - LTME (Long Term Mining Evolution) -New Algoヾ(⌐■_■)ノ♪ on: September 11, 2018, 06:27:25 PM

5. Exchanges and CMC

Ok now the serious talking is starting. Recently I covered the renesis team with the Hotbit story that they wanted to give us a ''special'' price of 1.5 btc for the listing of Renesis. After I found out that most of the people here are either scammed, that their balances are changed after a good trade, or even after just subscribe to their exchange and noticed all of the shadow trades and lack of volumes, the Renesis took the great decision to cancel the RESS listing at hotbit.

I have done the following fork ;

Poloniex ( need more questions to be answered at the community dev channels. )
Liqui - Will only add coins at their own discretion
Idex ( In a case that we will be able to trade Renesis with Eth eventually, I'll have to contact them )
OKEx seems hard to get in https://support.okex.com/hc/en-us/articles/360004045672-OKEx-Token-Listing-Vote-Rules
upbit
Graviex Seems they could accept Renesis as payment https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeFC98OclfkdMKcmwntfTOayung5CgykG_SBxbedCm8NLprWw/formResponse
Gate.io ( need official renesis email, then we will be able to ask them to be listed. Gate.io doesn't charge fee for the listing, but will only list promising project. They will indeed have some news from me eventually )
Livecoin - Sent and waiting an answer
Cryptopia - Around 6 btc ; https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/CoinListings
cryptobridge - 2 btc
Nanex - Sent and waiting an answer.
kukoin exchange https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSefg678ycNar5hEylFcefJGRUsknXArMKisXsA8ojXQLskEQw/viewform need team work.
hitbtc - Sent and waiting an answer
''binance'' = Case by case, One time per month a new request will be sent to binance. Binance notice more the PROs than the CONs and will look how the team is developping their coin, it will be good to create awareness, even if it's a long work ahead. For binance, I'll probably ask them one time per 2 weeks, so that they could slowly notice us.

Please avoid Poloniex and especially the scum hitBTC. kuCoin is likeable, but what's the price? Cryptopia has gone too expensive huh?
1395  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: September 11, 2018, 05:40:54 PM
<...>
I guess I shouldn't complain, I have been given 52 merits even though I'm always taking advantage of a paid signature (why wouldn't I? I'm not posting to get paid; I get paid for posting) but I'm sure without a signature I would have reached 100 merits by now.
Back in June 2018, @ matthewoz101 opened a thread on the matter of the relation on merit and signatures (see Is it easier to earn Merit without a signature?). On the referenced thread, I checked out back then whether there was an influence on being merited depending on signature present/absent (see re: Is it easier to earn Merit without a signature?), and there did not seem to be one really.

In fact, for Heroes and Legendries it had a positive impact numerically, although it is likely due to the fact that for these ranks post more often and therefore gain more merits (there are obvious exceptions, but it is a plausible explanation for the 7 point difference in average merit for those using a signature).
Ranks below Heroes at the time seemed not to be influenced by wearing a signature in terms of average sMerit received.

Well.. I merited your post from June 17th which states 76,97% of the merited posts, are merited within the 1st week! I like being on the minority of things Cool I'm impressed with all the data you've gathered, I wasn't expecting those numbers!

I'm interested to know how did you calculate the following (I formatted for you into a table! Wink). I want to ask two things... A) Did you separate people wearing a personal signature and people wearing a paid signature? B) I'm sure a lot of registered members are inactive. Most of them, logically are inactive prior to 2017 and therefore prior to the boom of signature bounties, were you able to somehow filter these people out? Since they're inactive they're not going to get any merit!

I don't really notice many signatures. The senior bounty ones look like the forum ones, and I assume that no product in which I have an interest is likely to advertise here. Then there are the junior bounty ones, these are usually 2 or 3 lines of capitalised text pretending to be a big boys signature. The only ones I tend to notice are the simple text strings, as these are often the personal sites of the poster, and can be useful resources.
[off-topic]lol that's true! Nice "ask-a-legendary" site! you've got there Grin [/off-topic]
1397  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: September 11, 2018, 12:33:31 PM
Although it might be heresy for you bitcoin maximalists, the altcoins/mining subforum does have a surprisingly high signal-to-noise ratio. Here's a post from a 16 activity newbie that I just merited (and whose post history suggests more good things to come): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5024771.msg45483725#msg45483725.

Of course, when I go slumming in the altcoin or bitcoin discussion subfora I never see a post worth meriting (but plenty of posters who get reported for plagiarism) so if those are the only subfora you frequent then pickings are slim, indeed.

I know what you're saying, but as someone who's interested mostly in a few (very few) altcoins and the altcoin miners, most of my knowledge spans around this subject and I can be more helpful with my posts in this subforum. Most of what I'd post in the Bitcoin subforum would be considered "unnecessary" or "spam" by many because I don't have deep knowledge of the Bitcoin itself.

Also it saddens me that merit sources are probably prejudiced against everyone who use signatures, even legit people like myself. For example look at this post just above us (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2818350.msg45458026#msg45458026), JayJuanGee, a very respectable and old member received a merit for quoting my post and enriching my point with some comments. That's all good, but on what ground was this post merit-able and mine wasn't? What set us apart?

This is only an example and please don't take me wrong, I have nothing against JayJuanGee, on the contrary even! But it makes me wonder... if a respectable legendary member with no paid signature and a newbie with a signature were to write the exact same post with the same wording... would merit sources and other members be fair?

I guess I shouldn't complain, I have been given 52 merits even though I'm always taking advantage of a paid signature (why wouldn't I? I'm not posting to get paid; I get paid for posting) but I'm sure without a signature I would have reached 100 merits by now.

Ripple - XRP Long Term Analysis. Investor perspective  Grin Grin

6 to 12 months Target: $5.5 - $8.5

https://www.tradingview.com/chart/XRPUSD/w6bFW0RS-Ripple-XRP-Long-Term-Analysis-Investor-perspective/
I think the value of ripple will never hit that one but I don't say that there is no potential of it because I know how populaw now a Ripple just like an Ethereum.

Lately Ethereum is popular for all the wrong reasons though! Roll Eyes

And... did you read all the posts of this thread? How did you find and quote a post from April? Shocked And I don't agree with his analysis... with a quick look I found some "holes" in his technical analysis and fundamentally, 12 months are not enough for such a big move. Maybe after 4 or 5 years, when XRP will be more widely used and an important amount of coins will have been burned through many daily transactions, driving the supply lower, then we can talk about 6$ and over.

How does this benefit small scale businesses? Yes there are problems that they are facing but what advantages can you offer over existing methods and how can blockchain help in solving the existing problems?

I know you're a bot or a spammer by seeing your post history, but regardless, your post made me think of a not-so-obvious-at-first advantage of businesses.
Have you seen those boxes near the counters with a few coins inside them and a label of a charity organization? People are reminded that they can give some spare coins for charity. But it'd be more convenient for the shop-keeper to say "hey, if you'd like to pay with this cryptocurrency, you can indirectly support charity actions all over the globe without sparing money directly".

You had promised some nxy tokens for those who had registered early, had verified and I think they had enabled OTP.
What happened to that promotion? I haven't received anything yet.

Have some patience. See few posts above:

The date has just been set for September 28th. The rewards from the Airdrop event and Super Bounty will also be sent on that date.Thank you for your interest and participation.

They also sent out email updates, you should've received one if you're registered - check your spam folder if not.

Thanks for your reply, I guess I had forgotten it. Now that you mentioned it I remember I had received one such email regarding the airdrop.
Can't wait to try out this idea of liquidity mining! Grin
