1401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ARK - Blockchains Interoperability with SmartBridge 🔹 ARK on Binance 🔹 on: September 10, 2018, 09:10:54 PM
Hello, tell me.
Can I transfer all my arcs from a white network to a black one by just dropping my coins to the dark side?
I have a version of the purse 1.6.0 system offering to update the wallet. for Windows 64. Is this an official update or can I be hacked?
When will the smart contracts on the ark be available?

Not sure what you mean but you're clearly confused on something.
The dark network is for beta testing, I don't know how exactly it works but it's probably an image of the actual network some point in the past, you might be able to login there and test some things but DON'T SEND coins to the dark network, they'll get lost. Stay on the light side young padawan! Cool

As for the smart contracts, they'll be available with the ARKVM update.
As per the roadmap (found here: https://ark.io/roadmap) ARKVM is expected to be completed some-when on 2019 and at the moment it's in the early stage of about 39% completion.

Very informative article - Forbes: Ripple's Trillion-Dollar Man

David Schwartz is profiled, highlighting his contributions to Ripple's technology and his mission to upgrade the world's aging payments infrastructure.

I like what they're doing... but I just can't like this specific guy... cut your hair, shave your face, stop stupid poses for photographs! Roll Eyes
1403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][OpenBeta] FirstBlood.io - Come Play!! 1ST Esports Competition Platform on: September 10, 2018, 07:52:04 PM
They aim to support the most popular games, however it will be hard to do so. For now they only managed to introduce Dota 2 into their platform. I'm not so sure about this platform. There are a lot of kids playing games that can lose their money there.

Most importantly, 1ST is not even used in their platform and the games they support. I don't know what's the point of using a typical point system and lottery rewards for PUBG... And who pays for these lottery rewards anyway?
They could go on with their plan of using their own token as a reward.

In any case, I bet they have implementation problems with Ethereum chain, they should do a swap and go for the ARK platform which seems to offer more tools and so far is very stable.

You had promised some nxy tokens for those who had registered early, had verified and I think they had enabled OTP.
What happened to that promotion? I haven't received anything yet.

can anybody post screenshot with transaction section?

I'd do that for you if I had understood what you meant.
What transaction section? What time? There are many transactions happening all the time...

Thanks for the update P4ndoraBox.
Reading your update, I realised Renesis is planning to use Masternodes, even though I knew it since I also translated your ANN thread to Greek I had forgotten about it! Tongue

So has the collateral for Masternode rights been decided? Has it been announced and I've missed it?
1407  Economy / Economics / Re: What should we focus on more? Demand or Supply? on: September 10, 2018, 09:16:00 AM
As long as the prices are so low, personally I'm not interested in doing purchases with cryptocoins... especially BTC which has higher tx fees than PayPal or credit card... at least when doing small purchases.
I think the only viable way to reduce the "supply" of BTC is to reduce the mining rewards but this won't happen for more than a 1,5 year now.

And since we're in the Economy section and not the Bitcoin section, I believe it's fine to mention one interesting solution an altcoin has found to control the supply.
XDNA's team has created an algo which is changing the mining reward amount based on the total hashrate of the network.
1) When the price of a coin falls, naturally miners will start leaving.
2) If miners leave, the hashrate drops.
3) If the hashrate drops, less coins are generated.
4) If less coins are generated, there's less supply.
5) If there's less supply, the price's momentum is pushed upwards.
So lower price = less supply! I found it brilliant when I first read about it! Grin

We're flirting with position 2 on WhatToMine, depending on XDNA's price! Getting closer and closer to position 1, keep the price up people! Grin

PS: Using a 1080ti as reference.

Επίσης το ETH δεν υποτίθεται πως θα άλλαζε σε proof of stake κάποια στιγμή;

You can stop spamming now bots... you were never supposed to post your tweets of your fake account on the thread's body. You were supposed to fill a form posted in the initial post which you failed to do.
I'd say thanks for promoting XDNA even after the ending dates, but I doubt any of your followers are real anyway.

Hopefully when the exchanges realise how hard it is for startups in this bear market and lower their fees to more fair prices... probably this should start happening as soon as the scam and ponzi ICOs stop.
I feel however like I see less and less ads for ICOs... that's good!

that comment coupled with your sig, is a little ironic, is it not?

No more ironic than a tv star promoting a product he/she is not using in their life! Roll Eyes
Marketing is one thing... beliefs are another! Wink

With that said... I still wouldn't promote something I know for sure is a scam or is centered around gambling. IOU which I have on my signature seems to have a decent team who put their faces on the internet instead of hiding, so I don't mind promoting them for a bit of payment.

But the projects I support with my own money are projects like Renesis and XDNA which have a fair start without ICOs.
1412  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: September 09, 2018, 04:17:05 PM
Merit offering is relative to the total market cap of the cryptocoins! Grin
I guess it makes sense since a lot of people came here to make easy money last year and while the prices are falling and their money have gone to smart people, they're starting to leave the forums.

Most of them were spammers and didn't affect the merit system anyway, but still a lot of free sMerits were given to these people when the system first went into effect. Some other newbies had to be good fellas too, worthy of merit! (statistically speaking)

1414  Economy / Services / Re: A simple bitcoin Q/A. Learn new and interesting stuff about bitcoin. on: September 09, 2018, 03:39:26 PM
Sorry lads, don't yell at me,I am back. And I got a question.

Question: What is BIP 174? (Its gonna be out for bitcoin 0.17.0 version)

Hello boss, Is this Q/A still available for the Answer? And If it's not Any way for make merit's or something to learned about your thread? Seeing your thread about bitcoin makes me amaze for someone who really devoted to bitcoin.
Hello employee, did you do the reports I asked you to do? I didn't get any, and you're fired. Get your filthy ass outta here. </sarcasm>

Don't post for merit dude. Just post about what you like and what you know, with some common sense. That said, whatever you need to learn from this thread, is there in this thread.

You forgot to open the command with <sarcasm>
To answer this, I'd first like to give a short explanation of what a BIP is. BIP stands for "Bitcoin Improvement Proposals" and as the name suggests, community members suggest an improvement for the Bitcoin protocol in an official and structured manner. Every BIP goes through the some phases while it's being decided if it'll be implemented or not, which usually (but not always) look as the following,

So, BIP 174 is going to allow users to perform offline transactions through a protocol that would allow them to sign transactions without having to upload them to the network immediately.
It's also called as "Partially Signed Bitcoin Transaction", PSBT for short.
From the information I've gathered I understand it works almost like a check (cheque) we use for fiat transactions, where we sign in a paper that we'll offer 1000€, give it to a person and then they go to a bank to cash out from our account. In Bitcoin's case we sign a transaction offline, give it to a person, they may even sign it and give it to another person, until finally someone goes online and cash out the BTC from the initial signer.

---
Serious explanation ends here, bellow is some extra info I've found for which I'm note 100%.
---

The bellow slides 10 and 11 show an example. If my knowledge in Japanese from years of otaku activities are to be trusted,
https://speakerdeck.com/azuchi/bip-174-partially-signed-bitcoin-transaction-format?slide=10
Alice initiates a PSBT transaction and sends it to Bob. He then signs it and sends it to Carol who signs it and sends it to Bob who finnaly recevies the money from Alice. Alice initial transaction was supposed to be for Bob, but since he signed from Carol and then Carol for Bob, Bob is the one who receives the Bitcoins.
1415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: September 09, 2018, 03:15:47 PM

Instead of "Digital Asset Investor" this channel should be called "XRP Investor", all their videos are about XRP! Tongue
Well, I guess it's a good channel to follow for those who prefer to be informed through videos instead of reading.
1416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ARK - Blockchains Interoperability with SmartBridge 🔹 ARK on Binance 🔹 on: September 09, 2018, 03:11:39 PM
F#ck Ark and it team, that's all I can say. The losers team.
Why are you supporting the loser team in your signature  Huh
Can't you sell your bags off that you bought at ATH? Aww, that sucks... Poor you.

Yes, you're right I'm just waiting for some high so I can sell. These f#ckers are dumb, that's all I can say. I was dumb myself to buy into them.
I think this scammer FX Tharoon is looking to start another scam, I don't see him active anywhere anymore. I know this facker Mike docky guy is start many scam projects which offer nothing to Ark.

Da fuck are you talking about? He's active on github https://github.com/fix. It's actually the only place I want to see him active.

About core V2, it's scheduled for Q4 2018 https://ark.io/roadmap, I've got a news for you, we're in Q3 right now

Dear Stealth.Money,

Thanks for reminding me why we're stuck in a bear market where prices are always getting lower.
Please, for everyone's sake, do us a favor and lose your money as soon as possible along with others of your kind so that we can move on.
You're acting more like a kid-gamer who belongs to the COD fanbase... crying about why this gun that killed you in the game is overpowered... than the cryptocurrency world. You have listed no reason why you hate ARK, but I suppose it is because of the price drop. That proves your inability to understand how the markets work but even worse your inability to notice every coin is dropping in price.
Yes, by reading two of your posts I can tell that much about you, which is why I'm able to be profitable from investing and which is why I know you'll lose 100% of the money you're investing. So if you care about your money, listen to my advice and either quit this market or just hold whatever you've bought and come back in a year or two.

Bye!
1417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: September 07, 2018, 10:51:31 AM
hi peoples, what are you mining this days ?
Oh and the new algo called HEX. It was created by the developers of XDNA. The XDNA coin is still new but it's already traded in two big exchanges, Cryptopia and Crypto-Bridge. It's also offering 2% of the block's rewards for charity and since they had no ICO and about only 0.7% premine (more info) I'm sure it'll fly sooner or later, if you don't mind mining & holding this coin is a good bet.
Can you say smth about hr at this algo? Or is there some calculators? I want to calculate different rigs but still cant find any hashrates.
I'm very late to answer you, sorry I had missed your question to me!

EVGA 1080ti FTW3 at 85% Power, +90 MHz clock, +200 MHz memory (memory is stable up to +550 MHz but it seems to have 0 effect on the hs anyway)
The hashrate fluctuates between 18 Mh/s  19 Mh/s, this is a more advanced kind of the x16r algo which uses 16 algos but instead of using 1 algo for every hash HEX combines many algos in one hash... it's a bit confusing for me how exactly it works but what I want to say is that the hashrate fluctuates because of different algos but not as much as in x16r.

An estimation of earnings can be found in WhatToMine and it's usually on the top5 coins, personally though I keep mining it because (A) I believe in the team after talking with them on the Discord and seeing how active they are, and (B) because 2% of the block rewards are going for good causes in their charity wallet. More about their charity actions under the name "XDNA Foundation" can be found here.
1418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: September 06, 2018, 08:51:31 PM
Interesting price move today... while BTC got manipulated by a whale again XRP recovered quickly. Ofcourse everything falls along with BTC but XRP has shown some good resilience.
Even if it's also immune to many hikes, it's more steady to the upside in comparison with BTC.

1420  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 06, 2018, 07:29:45 AM
Despite the market falling sharply today, I am still very bullish as regard  bitcoin price, I think recovery of the losses incurred today will be compensated before weekend
Bitcoin fell and took other coins in its grave. Eth lost almost 15% and its not few at all! The market is crazy. Who knows what what was the reason of the crash?
There were no news and whales wouldn't panic-sell, so it was obviously manipulation with a bit of panic maybe. It probably has to do with futures and stuff, I have a general idea of how the rich ones can get be winners by combining futures with actual bitcoin buying.

I think the steps are,
You buy futures
You buy BTC in the market with many $$$ driving the prices up
You sell your futures and then short some too, take some cash
You buy even more BTC from off-market trades, thus not driving the price up on yourself
You then dumb all your BTC in one go, droping the price like it did today/yesteday
Cash on your short position futures

You take some loss from the actual BTC trading, you gain a lot from the futures.
The solution to that is, DON'T TRADE FUTURES. You ain't gonna with these guys.
