2201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 26, 2022, 11:22:11 AM
The team that I am most excited to see is the Memphis Grizzlies. They are so silent this off-season. I am excited what their young players can bring this new season. They are not at their peaks last season. Now they are more experienced.
That's a strong team too. Their advantage is the chemistry they have with their young players.
My memory is still fresh of when they played against the Timberwolves in the first round of the playoffs. Battle of speed for both young teams is composed of agile players.
One of the best matchups that I have seen, their games are always close with a high score ending like a battle of offense.
Grizzlies will be scarier when they play against a team who relies on a center because you cannot leave Jaren Jackson Jr. outside or he will shoot it with high accuracy.
One of my top five when it comes to team rankings in the West.

They definitely have a shot this season, if only Morant wasn't injured last playoffs, I think they have a really huge chance of winning the championship. Of all the teams that played against the Warriors, I only see Memphis giving him enough trouble, looks like they really know the Warriors.

with that said, I think betting on the NBA future is good with this Memphis team.

+2260, that's very tempting.

2202  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto agents on the increase on: September 25, 2022, 11:50:46 PM
The rate of scams is on the increase lately, and I have been seeing a lot of cryptocurrency investment platforms that look so shady and just a close look will expose their scam but yet gullible and greedy people still fall for them.

The best way to stay off scams is to be vigilant and never to be too greedy, crypto scam is not new but yet scammers always employ new tactics to lure their potential victims.
And the best way is to stop dealing with these high rewards and market offerings as they are mostly scams. Greedy people will surely get fall into this tactic too easily as they never mind about doing research and just simply jump on it like a hungry cow. Likely, if we are only just too mindful of what we doing and very skeptical of all forms of scam attempts, I'm sure nobody will get scammed but too unfortunate that many were still blind not to see because money and its influence their really even though it was spread widely.
2203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much money do you leave in crypto casino? on: September 23, 2022, 09:23:37 PM
I don't really keep money in my casino account, I don't really gamble frequently so after winning I always withdraw my money back to my wallet, not that I don't trust the casino, but I see no reason for me keeping money in the casino since I don't gamble frequently, so whenever i win, i always make withdrawal back to my wallet because i might want to make use of the money that i win, also deposit and withdrawal in casino account those not really take time and its not stressful, so whenever I want to gamble I can easily make deposit back  to the account. If I gamble always then I might be leaving some amount in my casino account but since I don't gamble frequently, I don't have to keep money there.
It is on a case-to-case basis and some people leave some amounts in their account so they will come back again after a few hours. Perhaps, it saves time and fees which is also an advantage for this idea but doing this is only advisable if the casino has known for its good reputation. Do, I'm not doing this (leaving some amount) but for me, it was still okay as long as we still have the plan to gamble again even though the money will stay for a many days and this is also a way to assess if the casino can really be trusted or there is something questionable.
2204  Economy / Economics / Re: MONEY IS THE MOTIVATING FACTOR, what do you think? on: September 23, 2022, 02:38:31 PM
It can be said that the influence of money is currently very strong, people are only motivated for money so that without money they will be quiet or do the things they like, the other side of course will make the social value disappear because what is thought is the value of money that will be obtained if you do something .
It was a motivating factor and that was also because it was too hard to survive and live a comfortable life without money. Might be possible before but for now, everything needs money and that is how eager we are to earn money for the sake to have a good living. That is why are not going to wonder why people ask for a job, or why they work hard as this is necessary by now. In fact, rich people wanted to become richer and it was because they still wanted more, it is a financial security that most of us wanted to happen to our life.
2205  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Benefits of been a bitcointalk member on: September 23, 2022, 01:58:40 PM
there are so many benefits of bitcoin especially for beginners like me, I learned a lot, observed, and understood what trading is, what is bitcoin, what is a digital wallet, and many more, what I like the most here we can discuss together, and the chat is very high quality containing knowledge, understanding, opinions, views and experiences, it is very inspiring and becomes more enthusiastic to continue to deepen my knowledge in the crypto world.
Perhaps, you've learned a lot because you believe this will help you and the forum make you grow old and think positively.
Many people had come and just then go for they are not comfortable to stay here and are hard to understand the behavior of the members. It was the fact that being here we need to adapt to the environment as well and make a way to understand the difference. And the more you explore the forum, the more you encounter important discussion that will help you a lot and can even applied outside crypto.
2206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A meme coin called baby doge worth this risk? on: September 23, 2022, 01:17:25 PM
Then, have you even think what you can do this Baby Doge? Does it give you profit every day?
Don't say that it gives you profit because if that really happens, in that number, that was a huge amount of money. But guess what, it was just a number, I also receive millions of tokens for a certain project but never have the chance to sell them and make money from it. It is actually a waste of time mining shitcoins. You'd rather open your eyes and see the reality. I'm not accusing this project is a scam but my mind telling me to stay away from this project.
2207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: September 23, 2022, 12:25:13 PM

I also think that the coming match between Inoue and Butler will have a high percentage of ending in a KO.  Looking at all angles, Inoue has the advantage but we should always be open for an upset win which I think has a very low chance of happening.

Very obvious, some of the indicators why KO is most likely the result are.

1-Inoue is a KO artist. of the 23 fights, 20 of that are won by KO
ref - https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/628407

2-Inoue is the heavy favorite, so it's gonna be KO or TKO because Butler might not able to continue.

Yes and in Inoue's last fight, he completely destroyed Donaire in just 2 rounds, so talk about not just simply knocking out his opponent, he is taking them down in less than 7.5 rounds.

So if Butler survived the full 12 rounds, that's already a big accomplishment for him because it's very tough to hang with Inoue because of his power in both hands.

Butler has shown his quickness in his previous fight, he can run, so I think it's a good recipe to survive against Inoue. And since it's an undisputed fight, judges will certainly choose the boxer who is more active to win, just in case Butler will survive, he will still not gonna win.

Well, I think Inoue to win by KO has lower odds than Inoue to win by decision, just my wild guess.
2208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: September 23, 2022, 11:43:31 AM
^^ Right, so even if Lopez moves up to 140 already, we have someone trying to get into the picture and put his name around those established boxers in the lightweight.

So we will see how he will adjust to it, maybe he can challenge for the belt because guess what? Shakur is with Top Rank as well so it's a win win situation for him to get into this weight class ASAP because Haney is also on the same stable and so is Loma.

Great decision of a fighter, if he is not anymore comfortable in a lower weight, going up is always the solution. They have to face the champion and the good thing is they are not forcing their body, they are fighting to a weight class that they feel they can give their 100%. Salute to fighters who are honest and do not make an excuses if they lose.
2209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: September 23, 2022, 11:16:11 AM
I think I like the idea though of the winner getting the bigger slice on the rematch. And I think it will favor Crawford to some extend, yes he will be getting like 40%, like what we have been saying. But if he won the first fight and the rematch clause was automatically activated, then it will be the other way now. Crawford getting at least the 60% now, the biggest purse. Although again, if this for us is very easy to understand, then why not their legal counsel translate it in paper so that they can sign it right away.

Crawford for now is not caring about his slice. He just wanted to push the fight and will be after that whole thing after
the first match takes place. If he wins, then expect a much better slice and much bigger demands.

It will be great for the boxing community once the final date for the upcoming fight will be announced as it's really
been waited a long time ago.

The delays are keeping the fans hanging in the air, still waiting for any result of the negotiations coming from both
camps.

I also believe that, Crawford knows that Spence will always ask for a bigger slice, and Crawford is okay with that as long as the share is reasonable. One big win here will make him at the top, so it will be him dictating the terms on their next fight, Crawford has to prove that he is better than Spence, end of the story.
2210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are new bitcoin users early or late to the party? on: September 23, 2022, 09:42:11 AM
When you think about miners for example, they were mining with a CPU in 2009, and getting 50 BTC per hit.

Now, you usually get shares, not a full block, but the thing is that the amount in fiat terms is similar to what a miner was getting in 2009. Actually early bitcoins were basically worthless in 2009 because you couldn't trade them for anything.

So, if you mine today, and wait a decade, that small amount could be worth a lot in 2032.

That means that there are continuous parties in the future, you just need to wait.

Also now there are also other alternatives to use Bitcoin with, like lightning, which is revolutionary and wasn't available in the early days.

More new things will exist in the future, making new parties.
Well, what actually is the party we are talking about?
Buying low or buying high? or Selling low or Selling high? I'm not really sure what this party really means but maybe it was referring to the time that Bitcoin will reach its ATH. Well, in that part - I'd say that early investors are too lucky enough to have Bitcoin at a cheaper price. And these newcomers have no way to think that they are not late, of course, they are. But we never make use of this to think that we don't have the chance to accumulate more Bitcoins and earn a profit because the chances are still there, only we need to take risks and adopt the system.
2211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple (XRP) goes up, Bitcoin stays flat or even lose value on: September 23, 2022, 09:15:49 AM
Ripple has success in court and that is why the currency is flying high.
Take into consideration the 3rd and 4th largest Cryptos as of today are USDT and USDC and Ripple can soon go to the moon.

Would you consider investing now in Ripple instead of Bitcoin?!

 Huh
I may consider buying some XRP for another reason, not because I preferred to hold it. Look, even to say that they are winning in their SEC issue but this won't change the view of this coin and it was too far to compare to Bitcoin and even ETH. You don't get wrong with what you think about this project. Well, I don't weight much on its rank but certainly, I'd just look to the projects that are really capable to do a good market because, in the end, this will affect our profit margin.
2212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LUNA PUMP on: September 22, 2022, 11:40:01 PM
it seems that many traders don't trust LUNA anymore, even though Luna experienced Pump, because Luna has become a SHITCOIN,
which means this coin is a toy by whales, PUMP and DUMP happened and made LUNA very volatile and not suitable for the future,
this is why we stay away from LUNA and don't trust them anymore.
You are correct because many investors is not comfortable of luna because of the relaunch of luna coin even though that people invest they pump the coin to have a good courage in the market, many people will be afraid of investing with Luna.  Any investor who wish to invest on Luna should invest and remove mind that luna can survive and it can die off, because they have made people to distrust the volatility of the project.

Once investors or people Maker a project bad, it will take much time for the project to rise and have supporter's again. So it's might be that the project of Luna will be encouraging this time but the problem is that to build the trust again with Luna.
And after all of their doings, I don't understand why there are still wanting to invest and risk their money in this project. It is actually hopeless to think it will be potentially profitable long-term, in fact, it was hard to trust this project anymore. If we see Luna is pumping, that was obviously manipulated and we don't need to be fooled because, after that pump, a terrible drop is possible to happen making these investors suffer losses only, not profit. I'm sure nobody could afford to take that, then we instead help ourselves to secure our funds rather than putting our money in this coin.
2213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How mentally prepared are you? on: September 22, 2022, 10:54:01 PM
Cryptocurrency success stories have become extremely popular in the past year or two, especially during the bull market where even random altcoins were pumped, resulting in people believing that they were a get-rich-quick scheme. A decent example is Dogecoin. Thanks to Elon Musk, it was excessively pumped, surpassing $0.50, which was outstanding for a meme coin. Personally, I know a few friends and acquaintances of mine who thought it was the deal of their lifetime to purchase Doge during its rally, and guess what, they were screwed over, losing almost all their capital.

As someone who has gone through multiple waves of bear markets, I now feel more prepared than ever. I suppose if I was more knowledgeable and more prepared, I wouldn't have abandoned Bitcoin twice, once in 2014 and once in 2018, and chances are that now I would be swimming in money. Unfortunately, in 2014, I had no idea how Bitcoin worked and was disappointed that I couldn't easily obtain it, whereas in 2018, I was heartbroken after its crash and left the scene until 2021.
We never thought before that this will happen to Bitcoin, many people are in regret neglecting not to buy more of it and holding long. Because we thought this won't last long but just only have a short life span. It is to assess that we are not totally prepared enough, though we believe and trust Bitcoin but deep inside, we still carry the doubts and thinking that one day this will die.

In fact, what happened to Dogecoin is certainly unbelievable and surprising, and I know those who rejected purchasing this project are certainly disappointed. But, that was the case, it is actually hard when we are not mentally prepared, negatives still circulating in our mind.
2214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Opened another business were I accept Bitcoin on: September 22, 2022, 02:07:56 PM
At the moment, I am not a business owner but however, I would 100% accept Bitcoin as payment. I would prefer it over credit cards and offer my customers incentives for them to buy my product or service using Bitcoin.

The good thing that comes from accepting Bitcoin is the lower transaction fees which mean more money into your pocket. That will help your business make more profit and increase your investment for the long-term.
That is a part of business strategies. We have to listen to the needs of the people around us and make several options where it was more convenient for them like using Bitcoin. I really see success in business like this especially if the people already know about Bitcoin and of course, it was supported by the government and legal.

It was just for now that only a few businessmen offered this and have the courage to duel the market volatility but I see this will grow and more establishments will cater to this option in the near future.
2215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins will not survive the bear market? on: September 22, 2022, 01:39:44 PM
Perhaps the newly emerging tokens will not be able to survive in this bear market, in contrast to mature projects or tokens that already have a community, often also do not survive at prices that are in all bear markets, even though these coins already have names like BNB  , ETH, BTC, these three are not willing to maintain their prices in all global markets, so no coin will survive in a bear market..
It was the fact that working projects will tend to survive despite the situation while the scammy projects left dead.
In fact, we often see new project pop up and after a few weeks in turn scams while investors are crying in vain asking for help. So for now, whether that project is new or old, we still need to be more vigilant and just consider those projects that been building a huge community already as this will somehow gives us assurance to earn profit, not those who are build in hype and market manipulation for this won't stay long for sure.
2216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: September 22, 2022, 01:02:24 PM
So this might be the same, Butler chances are very slim to pull an upset. For sure Inoue is already looking for the future and could move to the next weight class after getting the belt from Butler because he has clean this division already.

Naoya Inoue is even capable of moving up to Featherweight now. He can destroy those mid-ranks.

This fight is a formal way for Naoya Inoue to become the undisputed champion in the Bantamweight.

Featherweight champions might be waiting for Inoue or if anything else, they hoped the Monster won't moved up weight.
Those which become undisputed champions of their division are feeling the pressure to moving up instead of remaining on their divisions, and while this has worked for some there are others which may not have the necessary tools to do so, and I think one example of this is Canelo, Canelo beat GGG during their third encounter and now it seems he may want to face Bivol again on the light heavyweight division, and while I admire his desire to keep pushing forward Bivol dominated him completely during their first fight and I expect the same result if they fight again.
I would not underestimate Canelo, he can improve and we might be surprised that he will beat Bivol. Canelo is not over yet, he is very ambitious and even if he will lose again, fans will still respect him because he is not afraid to take new challenges, unlike other boxers who remained on their comfort zone.

Let's stop talking about Canelo here, he is great, no question about that but Inoue is still undefeated and he is gonna be the undisputed champion by December 13. I'm expecting another impressive win, most likely a KO as Inoue is just too powerful in this division, and actually, it was only Donaire gave him a little problem but he was able to dominate him in the rematch.
2217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 22, 2022, 11:45:44 AM
That 4 year deal was already as a good as what he wants to make. Well, he probably have that proud issue then and thought that many teams would like to get him.

He thinks that he is more valuable than a 4-year $84 Million. Sometimes there are players who think they are at the point of their very best performance. Not wrong at all but at least he was able to open his eyes to reality. That deal is already good but since he believes other teams will offer him a $100M deal, that's not what happened.

Not late though. Schroder can show what he got on this season and see if he will be eligible for a much decent contract later on.

Yes, he is still very young, yeah, be become a sensation when he turn that huge contract and then decided to play at Celtics with just 1 year contract and obviously less money.

So it's time for him to show his talent once again with Los Angeles, and maybe they will offer him some better options next year.

Anyone heard of Jae Crowder wanted to be traded by Phoenix suns? it just pop up on my feed but I haven't read the story yet.

Another chance was given for Dennis. It's his game this upcoming season that will bring him
to get a ticket for better compensations. That past mistakes need to be forgotten and move
forward to showcase his talent.

It's his chance to prove something that he was worth if he managed to impress the Lakers
management or if ever, he impresses any teams with his game, the chance is high since he
was given another opportunity to show up and play in front of the fans.

Definitely it's another opportunity for him, the current contract is very small compared to his ability, but he has no choice but to take it and just try to contribute more to more valuable to the team. I'm thinking that the Lakers already have a back up in case Westbrook will be traded.
2218  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does anyone think it will be much harder to buy bitcoin later on down the road? on: September 21, 2022, 12:44:10 PM
Title.

Hi all.

Just wanted everyone's thoughts on how easy it is to get bitcoin now, and what getting bitcoin might be like in the future? For example, I can simply go on cashapp and buy btc, send to a wallet I own the keys to. I can also use localbitcoins, paxful, I mean the list is kinda endless. Will that list become...not so endless in the future as the value gets higher?
Not that easy but that was not too hard to get.
Well, I'm not sure if you are talking about KYC that it makes people can't easily buy Bitcoin as they will undergo KYC before they can use the platform. But I think, we have to preferred for that because even your local Bitcoin stores might ask the same just like how big exchanges are doing now. Sooner or later, more restrictions will impose and that becomes a struggle for latecomers. But I don't think we have to worry about this one as long as we don't hide any illegal activities.
2219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invitation to teach Bitcoin in a school on: September 21, 2022, 12:08:46 PM
That was a welcoming event for crypto and I see how many wanted to know more about Bitcoin and are willing to spend their time learning. I really appreciate what you did OP and I say that only a few people have that kind of passion and willingness to teach people who have the desires to learn about this. I know it was a big success and hoping for these people will gain more interest in investing in crypto and make their long journey here as well.

Likely, if this will actually been done is school, more and more people will adopt Bitcoin and fully understand how it works and its importance.
2220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 21, 2022, 11:49:46 AM

Overall, the Commissioners' Cup will start today, and I don't know if I will be excited to watch games because of these "Fair and Balanced" trades that are happening (a bit of sarcasm on it). The joke is on point that it made me laugh though and starting today, I will call Comm. Willie "Puppet" because that's what he really is.

Thanks for reminding, I didn't notice that the Commissioners' Cup will start today, and it's really true as I verified, almost miss betting on the first game. Well, what can you say, PBA is never balanced, the big team owners will always take the edge since other teams are just farm teams.

Right, so I might have to pass with this games in the beginning, just want to see what will happen.

But obviously as you pointed out the league has somewhat very controversial because the teams are not equally as balance as it had been for years. And perhaps this is one reason why the PBA is losing so much in terms of viewership as compare to it's previous years wherein everyone was glued to their television. Now it's more of people watching because of the "ending" bet.  Grin

I don't know the imports actually but I said to myself I will not pass the first game, so I put my bet. By the way, I'm rooting for the Northport to win, I also have a small bet on them after the first half, let's see if they will get their first win, they are the underdog here.

Congrats mate, big win by the NP, they were behind but they rally to win. Though the import of NP was fouled out, but it does not give them a problem, it was Sumang who carried the team in the dying seconds, his drive and a 3 point shot gave them a lead, and in the end it was Robert Bollick who give a win.
