1241  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are we expecting from now until Bitcoin halving? on: May 23, 2023, 09:35:42 PM

Are we expecting any more major crashes or should the markets start steadily rising in a few months or so or will that not happen till the end of 2023?
11 Months more to go and we never know yet but based on the past halvings, a price increase comes next and then followed by market corrections due to people selling their coins. Though not really sure about this next year but probably it gonna similar to what happens in the coming days. Perhaps, people are expecting another ATH that is why they are holding their coins waiting for that moment to come.

But whatever happens, we still need to be prepared and make a decision wisely and most of all, we don't have to be greedy, and sell them if there is an opportunity.
1242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers understood the game on: May 23, 2023, 04:34:11 AM
I remembered that I withdrew almost 0.1 BTC and 10,000 Dogecoin through my referral earnings. So yes, you could have earned some money here.

That was the best way of making money without a risk. I couldn't remember how much I earned, but I'm sure it's not as huge as yours. So, is your YouTube channel not active now? What happened?

Personally, I earn when I risk money. With good effort in analyzing the game, I could make a decent amount of money, but only up to my limit because I made sure I would be able to manage the risk and not go beyond it. There's no guaranteed profit in gambling, and compared to investing, I think investing has a lower risk, so it's something I would choose to focus on more than gambling.
1243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 23, 2023, 01:30:18 AM
Good luck, bro. The Lakers don't want to be embarrassed in front of the crowd, but you know the Nuggets are very consistent. Even if the refs are not always in their favor, they keep working hard and sticking to their system. You're right, the Lakers are usually strong in the 1st to 3rd quarters but struggle when it comes to closing the game. So, if the game remains close, we will likely see the Lakers ending their series today.

Lakers have made some decent rotation to give them a better chance, Dennis Schroder getting the start ahead of D'Angelo Russell and also Rui Hachimura who has had some great minutes off the bench in this series for the Lakers also getting the nod ahead of Vanderbilt, I think the Lakers could get a win here, if they managed to retain this line for most of the game and don't get into foul troubles, the early signs have been good so far for them.

The Lakers are leading, and James is off to a great start. However, it's still too early to conclude that the Lakers will win this game. Their lack of consistency throughout the series is the reason they are down 0-3. In order for them to secure a victory, they need an exceptional performance from LeBron James and must find a way to contain the Nuggets' impressive 3-point shooting.

So far, the Lakers have been shooting well from the 3-point area, primarily led by LeBron James. Based on their performance, it seems like they have had a good start and there is a possibility of ending the first half strongly. However, in terms of consistency, it is crucial for them to maintain the same level of intensity in order to secure a victory in the series. On another note, it is worth mentioning that Thompson has already made appearances in this series. It is my first time seeing him in a Lakers uniform.
1244  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bear Market Reaches $27605 - Will the Downtrend Continue?" on: May 22, 2023, 09:38:29 PM
I guess that's how experienced traders are doing right now. They are buying when there are opportunities while the market is falling,
having an idea that the market can bounce back and give them short-term gains.

It's a matter of knowing how to react and how to take the risk when you see good opportunities to buy, instead of selling, it's better to deal with a good' research first.

The decision always relies on how you do your DYOR, as it will bring you the chance to earn decently.
But I guess, many traders are still learning as well and they have a hard time responding right to the situation. Most of them are selling because of worries that it turns down low (cut-loss strategy) which is supposed not to do that. It is very important that a trader must know how to hold as well thinking that the market design isn't consistently growing high, it drops also and even it takes a little bit longer before it recovers. Now, if we just keep using this strategy, we end up losing more.
1245  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Earning online more preferable than offline? on: May 22, 2023, 09:09:45 PM
Earning money online is far superior to working at a physical establishment during the day. Although offline is highly appreciated and difficult. Trading is a great approach to find your true self. It will put everything to the test, including your greed, emotions, patience, discipline, how you handle failure, control, common sense, and resolve. I strongly advise anyone who is going through a terrible time in their life to learn to trade since it provides them a clear sense of purpose other than waiting for jobs. So, which is better, online or offline?
Trading can only be profitable if you have the skills and strategies to make it work, but for beginner traders it’s hard to make it superior than offline job since they are more susceptible to losses knowing they only have less knowledge and experience when it comes to trading in a volatile market. So it’s still best to find a stable job and continue to honed their knowledge and skills in trading until they become professionals in it.
Yes, that is the thing we are supposed to do. At that time, we can compare which one gives us a bigger income. While seeing a lot of traders showing their huge income from doing this, unfortunately, countless traders also had suffer big losses as well. That I would say that there is a chance to make more money online like in trading but it was wise also to have an offline job if we can take and carry them working together. And that is what we called -multiple sources of income.
1246  Economy / Economics / Re: The Role of Education in Financial Literacy on: May 21, 2023, 09:48:13 PM
IMHO, Education is just a preparation to become a potential candidate to have a day job but not for financial literacy. We can just learn Financial literacy if we already have some job experience and most of all, if we can talk or engage with businessmen. Because what it teaches in school is to become competitive and make good grades so we can easily get a job but not be encouraged to become an entrepreneur. But of course, a proper education can't lead you to success and so it was still important in our life.
1247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What a shame on: May 19, 2023, 02:50:12 PM
Having people clamouring unto the government for there safety isn't exactly a bad thing. Besides, you operate in a jurisdiction and this jurisdiction is guided by certain laws and regulations that ensures the orderliness of things.

The bad news is, having so much trust in a system, believing that this is one way to be right always and that the government would do you right always is some way to leave all your reasoning to the government and when they ride on you, you don't even get to notice. That's just how bad it is.

People needs to make use of there brains or have it used for them by someone else or a group even.
The government system isn't wrong but what actually turns like it was difficult to understand is these people who implement the rules and abuse their power. People are relying on the government as they believe that would help us to grow and improve our living but unfortunately, these powerful people that are in the position ruin it makes us not trust them anymore. Because if we just keep following them, nothing will happen to us but just a puppet to them, and the more the become powerful.
1248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Understanding cryptocurrencies and investment. on: May 19, 2023, 02:14:40 PM
Risking innovative concepts is the primary challenge, especially if we don't have a firm guarantee of their viability and validity. In my viewpoint, it would be wiser to choose tried-and-true coins if you are unsure because they have a solid base and have already faced with various market circumstances. It may be tempting to make an investment to test new coins because they appear profitable and attractive, but we should never take a risk without first conducting adequate research to have a better assurance that we won't regret it afterward. Yes, there are many projects that are feasible today, but they also come with scam projects, so we need to be cautious of them.
There are potential coins available in the market and showing remarkable events already which is enough to consider when investing. In fact, we never fall into scam projects if we know exactly what we are doing and much more if we know the risk that we have in the crypto space. Many people suffer losses because of a lack of knowledge and greediness but if we can just stop this and take extra caution, I was very certain that it never happen to us. Unfortunately, things can be changed when someone who has the influence would speak as it gives courage to the investors without knowing that it was just a trap.
1249  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is this considered a safe practice on: May 19, 2023, 12:50:39 PM
<snip>
What are the disadvantages of using a credit card on online casinos? Any? Would you dare do such to earn more money?
One risk that I can think related to this is identity theft — people who has your credit card details can make use of your information to open new accounts that they can use for illegal activities. This is one issue that also happens with KYC processes.
Personally, I wouldn't want use credit card for payments online (incl. gambling platforms or even when shopping online). I prefer to use cash, e-cash, or cryptocurrency than connect my card to the platform, unless extremely needed.

Our identity is the most vulnerable when we do this. AFAIK, credit card transactions requires OTP or PIN codes to complete the transaction. *Please correct me if I'm wrong with this.
There are many disadvantages if you connect your credit card in casino as we are all know that once it's connected then there's a chance that they can steal your money and also once your credit card connect to your google and then bind it in the casino then make sure that casino is trusted enough because if not then they have a chance to deduct an amount even though you are not playing in them because they have access your google account which is your credit card connected.
It should not be linked to it as it is possible this will lead to unauthorized transactions in your account.
Many scam stories happen like this and it was to find out that someone does the confirmation on behalf of the original owner. Something we need to allow and must not try just to know if it really happens. It is not wise to do it and I don't think it was worth enough risking if that is only because of some bonuses.
1250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin IS an asset. Do you think it's bad? on: May 19, 2023, 12:13:01 PM
Bitcoin has been introduced as another form of currency (digital currency) but it seems to know that it never works that fast and attractive because people are really doubted if it works and have no knowledge about this. But fortunately, it has to find out that it works and gains more attention when people make use of this as an investment- buy, sell, and earn money.
of course, we can say that the majority are considering this as an asset but this time when many establishments are accepting this as a form of payment, it actually changes the insights that is not impossible to consider Bitcoin as currency.
1251  Economy / Speculation / Re: When to buy one time off bitcoin. on: May 19, 2023, 10:30:59 AM
Early 2015 my first experience buying bitcoin was at coinbase, at that time they only accepted purchases via credit card and i bought 2 btc which i planned for cloud mining and gambling, at that time the price of 1 btc was around $235, of course if i hold on until now i can get a lot of profit.
many were at the same time as you, friend, many did not predict that the price of bitcoin would increase sharply in just a few halving periods. but when the last ATH in 2017 many started to understand and started investing in bitcoin, maybe now more people know more and it's not surprising that everyone is competing to keep buying and saving.
In fact, it has started to grow last 2021 bull season and definitely, we gonna expect to double its number this coming bull season. The continuous growth of Bitcoin in every 4-year cycle brings attention to the community and brings more excitement. And to this time, we are expecting another ATH record. But we have also analyzed and set for a target price when to buy and when to sell. So, while it was not yet arrived, better not to waste our time then but to buy some and hold. We don't need to wait for the price of Bitcoin reach to $50k otherwise, I would say it was late already.
1252  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you spend more-do you get more? on: May 19, 2023, 09:27:56 AM
There is an opinion that the more money you spend, the more you get in return, it is interesting to find out who really works in this direction. I spend enough money, but I have a fixed income, therefore I will not be able to get more. I don't have rich relatives, and I don't expect an inheritance either. I want to get rich, not to deny myself, but I have to save on everything. Who really faced big expenses and received even more? How does it work, maybe I don't understand the essence of it correctly?
But it also matters where you spend your money or what kind of investment do you choose. Capital is very important when investing and I agree with it saying more capital, more possible profit but if you put into an investment that you don't have any idea how it works, believe me or not, it can empty your wallet as well and lose your money. Capital would be a big factor but also, we need to plan it well and make sure that we really understand what we are doing.
1253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 19, 2023, 05:30:52 AM

If Davis could have hit that 3 in the corner or Lebron's layup, they could have a better chance. The only player that is consistent is Austin Reaves. So I will expect him to play in the next games with 20+ or more points. Schroeder so far has one of the worst game for the Lakers, he will just run circles and doesn't have the intention to score points as compare to the series against the Warriors wherein he is more aggressive driving and looking not to pass.

LeBron has really shown his age; he can no longer single-handedly carry this team, and he has to be cautious about being too aggressive when attacking the paint, as there is a higher risk of fatigue or potential injury. However, despite these challenges, the series is currently at 2-0, and it's not over yet. If the Lakers manage to win game 3, they still have a chance to turn things around and make a comeback.

I don't like to sound desperate, do I sound desperate or determine to make money?
Nah, you are actually telling the truth and the sentiment that you have. It is better to become clear and transparent about yourselves, rather than keeping it secret otherwise, you are ruining your goal and the reason why you are investing in Bitcoin. Well, we can assume what will happen in the market but we should still keep calm and have faith in crypto despite the corrections and slow recovery, we can be there someday that is why we should have to be patient.

1255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you like Meme Coins ? on: May 18, 2023, 11:26:39 AM
These days everyone is talking about the Meme coins and they are trending. Do you like investing in MEME coins ?

Do you like Meme coins and what are your Opinions on Meme coins. I understand Meme coins have no use case but they have hype and that's what you need to make money. Yes, the narrative of Meme coin is very short lived but it may give you 50x or 100x returns within no time.
They are trending because our attention has been focused on their situation but after all, these people are not investing (that includes me). Well, I'm going to be honest with myself that meme coins are really tempting, and if I am a greedy person I should take this also. In fact, some short-term investors are taking the hype and benefiting but if we are long-term investors, I don't think we will take the bait knowing that these coins really don't have the potential to grow, instead giving us losses.
1256  Economy / Speculation / Re: It was easy to know the SELL of this week with a simple chart analysis on: May 18, 2023, 10:53:41 AM
Short term price calls are always so hard to get right regularly. That's why I trade after long term holds only. As bitcoin still reacts to 4 year halving cycles it is a lot easier to know what to do & when, rather than trying to follow lines on a chart & different models. Of course it’s fine to take advice & bits of info from different models but short term trading is very easy to get rekt. To conclude, no selling until a year after the halving, buying now is fine.
Those who would like to sell will definitely have to sell their Bitcoin without looking at the chart.
Probably it was not the question of when is the right to sell but the question is if we care about doing this or not. If we don't, then it is not necessary to look at the market trend but rather sell them instantly. But for those who think that Bitcoin will grow after correction will certainly hold and are willing to wait for the perfect price.
"Sell if we can and hold if we really wanted to grow our investment".
1257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most altcoins are fake (wakanda) on: May 18, 2023, 08:54:28 AM
The first Africa crypto project was established to steal people's money, when wakanda came out in towards July 2021 and did the burn in September, many people wasted their hard earn money to buy enough, I personally use $300 to buy wakanda which accumulate 2billion plus, but since then, wakanda never rise for once, only going down, my money is less than $10 remaining.

Please what is the aimed of those people doing fake crypto currency?

The reason why? Perhaps you have mentioned it already and they will keep doing that as they see potential people like you OP who easily entrust their money in new projects without research. But you can't blame them either nor question why they are doing this because if we take caution before investing and if all people/investors are doing this stuff, they will stop for sure. Unfortunately, so many greedy and innocent people in the crypto space, and they usually get fooled by scammers especially, when you show them an interest in their platform.
1258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 18, 2023, 05:42:22 AM
Celtics should find a way how they will make Jayson Tatum open. He should not hide as the offensive player of the team, demand the ball, lead the team, and create space for everyone.

Tatum did great actually, scoring 30 points in this game, and his shooting percentage was acceptable. I think the problem lies in the Celtics' lack of ball movement and defensive weaknesses. We saw how well the Heat played defensively, with everyone contributing and being on the same page. In terms of statistics, the main difference was in the 3-point shooting, as Boston only shot 34% compared to the impressive 52% shooting from the Heat.
1259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 18, 2023, 05:26:08 AM
WOW, what a 3rd quarter by the heat.

Boston had a game plan in the 1st half but it all came crashing down right after halftime!

Jimmy with yet another high scoring game and the over all field goal % of Miami was impressing. 16/31 from 3 !!
Boston also with good numbers and I don't really see a player with bad splits, still they managed to lose.

Guess the 3% chance of winning this series for Miami has no risen dramatically since they stole home court advantage.
Boston will surely bounce back in game 2, just as they did against Philly putting up a show.

But it's nice to see there will be a fight!

With the outcome of the game, the Heat have now taken the home court advantage, even if the Celtics win Game 2. However, bookies still cannot believe that the Heat will win the series, as the Celtics remain the heavy favorite in the current series betting odds. Perhaps if the Heat can win Game 2, we may see a more even field in the betting odds. But regardless, if you are a Heat fan, you are already ahead in the series, so taking advantage of those underdog odds is a great idea.
1260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: May 18, 2023, 02:03:35 AM
In this upcoming fight, he is expectedly gonna dominate his opponent and will also easily gonna make everyone on the top list train harder because he is coming to beat them.

I'm not sure about the expectations that Inoe will dominate his opponent. Just for the record, Stephen Fulton is probably the toughest that Inoue will face in his career at this point and if I remembered it right, Inoue himself recognized that saying Fulton is the biggest challenge he will have. We never know what will happen until they meet in the ring.

Honestly, I'm more seeing the fight will go toe-to-toe and not that one of them will have a landslide and smooth victory, I hope so. Stephen Fulton waited for this fight for a long and he even says that he might probably outclass Inoue even though he's not a big puncher but will use his advantage of being a heavy volume puncher. Referring to both boxers' speeds, I found them equal.

Only the "turning point" will decide who will win.

It's the majority's expectation that Inoue will dominate, and if we look at the betting odds, Inoue is quite a heavy favorite. This means that most fans are expecting Inoue to win easily. However, you make a valid point because when we consider Fulton's technical skills, we can see that he is also a decent fighter. We should not underestimate what he has done and can do in his future fights, including this one.

In the end, we never know the outcome of the fight, so let's just wait and see.
