1341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 25, 2023, 12:19:47 PM
I have a feeling that all the home teams will win and cover the spread, as well as end the first round series with a victory.

Therefore, my bets are:

Boston Celtics -13
Denver Nuggets -9.5,
and Phoenix Suns -12.5.

I believe these games will result in a blowout win for the home teams.
1342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 25, 2023, 09:41:26 AM
Great game with LA and Memphis right now.  Though La Lakers seem to be trying to pull away a bit.

It really was a pretty close game. The Lakers were lucky to win this one, and now they need one win to qualify for the second round of the playoffs. This time I would call LeBron the hero of the game as he made an impressive double-double (22 points + 20 rebounds) and tied the game in the final seconds. It's also worth mentioning Russell, who made three consecutive very important three-pointers in the 4th quarter but then got 6 personal fouls.
p.s.
I don't know what's wrong with Davis, but he made a lot of mistakes and was just as bad as he was in game 2.

Great game indeed. I thought this is was gonna be another blow out game when the Lakers lead ballooned to 14 pts at some point of the first half, but the Grizz able to manage a good run and reduced the lead into 2 pts at the half.
I will not call it a lucky win for the Lakers, because they have executed a good defense and a good offense all throughout the game and most importantly down the stretch.
They even put Vando on Ja to lock him down.
LeBron stepped up to send the game to OT and win the game in OT.
Davis didn't scored much points but absolutely have the same impact as he grabs crucial rebounds, 2nd chance pts, and block shots. He's also hurt btw.
This series would be tied 2-2 if not for D'Angelo Russell's three shots in a row (two 3-pointers and a 2-pointer). He had been struggling in the past few games, but he had his best game of the series in game 4. The Lakers have the ability to win on the road, so I wouldn't be surprised if they eliminate Memphis on their home court. Personally, I would like to see this series go to game 7 as it has been a very good series so far.
I've got a crazy speculation right now after the Heat took a 3-1 lead against the Bucks. What if we see a 2020 NBA finals rematch? Lol.
Is that a Lakers vs Heat rematch? LOL... It's possible but unlikely to happen. Smiley
1343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next bull market comes in June on: April 24, 2023, 09:47:02 PM
We still can't be sure about that. What is meant by bullish in general or as usual where the price goes through a rising up period and then there will be another high correction. But what is certain is that when June comes, it should indeed pass through a better market, so crypto prices will tend to be higher. Later, when it is already bullish, various FUD will be hit, which then there will always be a market correction, which probably will always be there.
Perhaps, it was just a sort of market assumption and of course, it was hard to believe when the market is volatile and unpredictable.
Because whether the market turns bullish or not this year, we're still here to accept and continue our doing. And I say that we don't have to be excited about the future, all good things come momentarily and so we have to just wait for it. But of course, we don't just simply think that it all comes straight forward as the dump is possibly happen as well along the way.
1344  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Not about to give up hope. on: April 24, 2023, 09:25:09 PM
Life isn't always too easy nor it was too tough. Those people who easily give up from suffering setbacks and hard times are those who never believe that there is tomorrow and that all of these things will have a solution. Because if we just think that all of these negativities and failures that happen to crypto are a sign of its end, it surely we feel hopeless. But because we believe that all of these things just passed by, we ain't affected and remain strong carrying hopes that tomorrow will have bright days in crypto.
1345  Economy / Economics / Re: it's so risky! on: April 23, 2023, 08:29:22 AM
I don't invest money easily in any asset because of fear of losing that money. i think of investing 80% of total savings.
do taking risk is important or not?

please quote all question and answer it's very helpful for me and others.
There is no rule that it should be 80%, 70%, or 50% but I think this will be the golden rule when it comes to investment - invest only the amount that we can afford to lose. It means that we can start to invest in any amount as long as we don't regret if we ever it will lose. Because the truth is that every investment is too risky and most especially if you are investing in something that you are not familiar with or have no knowledge about it.

Therefore, It is to say that investing should be planned well and already have knowledge of it. Because there is no way to succeed in this field if we are blind and empty to what we gonna do next.
1346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your favorites altcoins these days? on: April 23, 2023, 08:03:17 AM
For me, it was a mix of old coins and new, but I allocate more on old coins for at least I have some assurance of not losing big in case my new projects investment will fail or turned scams. Though I don't have the final list as I was still waiting for the halving. Not necessarily have to hurry but it should be planned well and make sure that it undergoes research before investing.

But this is my plan - any of the top 20 altcoins and I tried to go along with the hyped projects.
1347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH gas fees are a joke. on: April 21, 2023, 01:03:17 PM
To be honest, I am really expecting ETH to have much lower fees like in just a few cents per transaction because of transitioning from PoW to PoS. Although that they have managed to lower them down, but not what I have really expected.

Hopefully this upgrade and/or the future upgrades will significantly lower down the fees way beyond my expectations since some of my clients are preferring to pay me USDT in ETH network than in BNB or Polygon without any reason at all. Maybe they trust ETH more despite the fees.

But at least right now it’s a little bit better than the yesteryears where we pay ridiculous high amounts worth of ETH gas fees.
Perhaps, there is a change, and too unfortunate that we think the transition is the solution to high fees, it is even getting worse as per to see.
I was wondering why but yes, the heavy network congestion gives us no option to spare, we really have to face the reality that this is hard to cut it down and bring back the fee many years ago. For now, it was hard to assume that we can pay small fees for ETH and ERC20 tokens, and paying $10 per transaction is seems normal.
1348  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: April 21, 2023, 12:29:47 PM
My question is can it still be called gambling if it is not played with money?
I'm sure every user here has a different opinion on your question.
If in my opinion even though you make and give predictions to win prizes without the money you give to bet or you can call it free then it is still included in the scope of gambling.
You yourself make predictions and risk them in a free betting contest with the expectation of winning when the predictions you make are correct, whereas gambling is an activity that risks something for the purpose of getting some profit.
So in conclusion, even though the predictions that you give without spending a penny, because there are prizes that can be obtained, it is a gambling bet.
Well, I respect that opinion as well. But talking about gambling and that kind of activity can be considered as gambling when the is money involved when there is betting happening. While in the situation with DSTV is not gambling but just a sort of making fun of the people who is also a fan of predicting the future. Might not see yet any betting involve but was not sure how it runs in a few days because if there is a casino involved here where to claim your prizes, not that far that this will become gambling as betting will possibly start.
1349  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing against 2024 on: April 21, 2023, 11:06:45 AM
As a Bitcoin enthusiast, there are many factors to consider before investing in Bitcoin. While it may always seem like the right time to invest, the decision ultimately depends on your individual circumstances. Whether you're considering investing in 2024 or this year, it's essential to conduct thorough research and determine the best time for you to invest in Bitcoin. Please note that we cannot provide financial advice, and any potential losses resulting from your investment decision will be your responsibility.

It's true that it doesn't matter if you want to invest in Bitcoin in 2024 or this year, but the sooner you invest in Bitcoin the better. Since now is the best time to be able to save up for the halving in 2024, the price of Bitcoin seems to increase significantly at that time and we can know for ourselves how much profit we can take.

It really doesn't matter because not all of us can see the opportunity behind Bitcoin as what they usually see is the negative sides due to doubtful assumptions and mindset. If we keep saying NO, it is hard to convince our minds to invest in Bitcoin as we already block the positive to come. That is why I would say that no matter what we do, we can't please everyone to believe in us as they are not even believing in themselves in the first place. Therefore to say that Bitcoin is just meant for those who could understand the nature of the market.
1350  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if BTC won't see ATH again? on: April 21, 2023, 10:40:30 AM
Let's be honest, market do not follow any rules. There is no rule or law that says BTC should reach another ATH next cycle and next after. What if 69K was the maximum it could reach, and for the next years or decades it will be mostly fluctuating between 15k and let's say 40k.

So, let's collect here the reasons why there will be ATH for BTC.
Name one (at least) reason, please.
Perhaps, there is no rule or law that says it turns to zero, the same thing that there is a chance to make another history and another ATH.
We can't draw assumptions, not in a case where we know that Bitcoin is beyond unpredictable. Because as long as the community trusting and keep trading Bitcoin, you can't say it was impossible as it all possible. In fact, we thought before that $20k is impossible but it rallies more than that price and now, we are looking forward to seeing $100k in the future.
1351  Economy / Speculation / Re: Correction from $30K: Reason to worry? on: April 21, 2023, 06:45:53 AM
With price dropping today from $30K to around $29K, are you worried there will be a deeper correction, or return to bear market, or is this just the short-term correction before re-testing $30K?
...
Every time the price of Bitcoin will pump, a correction will then follow. But I'd never think it was worrying enough because it rises back again stronger than before. I'd thought that the majority had already known this situation for this was not new anymore to the market. As long as the price of Bitcoin does not yet reach its peak, I was certain that after $30k, there is always room for $40k, $50k, and more...I think always about it, so instead I feel bad when it drops, why should I take this opportunity to buy more.
1352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will ETH has the capacity to pass BTC? on: April 21, 2023, 06:07:43 AM
I think that any coin has the capacity to surpass bitcoin. Ethereum has ever surpassed btc in the past. The possibility is always there but that's actually depends on how big the hype that already achieved by coin. As long as all of trading volume will able to be concentrated into the ethereum and it may possible for ethereum to take bitcoin spot. I would say that's impossible caused by it has ever happened in the past. So many veteran in here have ever seen about that too.
Perhaps, it was hard to believe that ETH will surpass Bitcoin even though there is a surge in its volume. Granting that Bitcoin is dominating the market since from the very beginning, it was really impossible for ETH and any altcoin to stop it. Besides, I'd never see any altcoins that are capable enough to that because it was not just the price, but also how the project is been useful to the community and we can't deny that Bitcoin has play a big role in crypto world more than what ETH and these altcoins can provide.
1353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: April 21, 2023, 12:45:24 AM
The good news is that TNT is currently ahead, which increases the likelihood that this game will go to a Game 7.

Not sure though even the rumored script that the series will end at Game 7 no matter what by those PBA critics will be activated.

If Ginebra will play without Justin Brownlee or even not at his 100% healthy status, it's hard to deal with TNT especially since their import is always consistent. As I previously mentioned, RHJ's full performance can only be stopped by Brownlee. Without Brownlee's presence on the floor, RHJ will just maintain his aggressiveness as his number 1 defender is out. Even Christian Standhardinger admitted that it's tough to do defense, not just against RHJ but to all TNT gunners if Brownlee is not there.

As far as the recent news is concerned about the status of Justin Brownlee, he is now out of the hospital but didn't attend the team practice. Ginebra is also expecting him not in his 100% healthy condition in Game 6.

Brownlee out of the hospital, but fitness a question mark ahead of Game 6

It was really serious because he was hospitalized for that. However, as long as he is present on the court, even if he is not 100%, I think it's enough to inspire the team and win the game. The locals are always there to support, and Brownlee's job is just to limit RHJ since they cannot allow him to be as dominant as he was in Game 5.
1354  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good time to invest in BTC? on: April 20, 2023, 11:16:08 PM
I tell you OP that before you invest in Bitcoin you make sure that you are really ready to face the volatility of its price. You will never have to think that after buying today you instantly make a profit by tomorrow or in the following days as there is no magic that works on it. If can decide to buy it now, then that is a good decision. You definitely can hear FUDs around and discouragement but have to remember that it may fall tomorrow, however, it will grow up back then. So, if you can beat those negative emotions, big rewards are not impossible in the upcoming bull season as we are going there.
1355  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I earn only from cryptocurrencies? on: April 20, 2023, 01:08:14 PM
I wonder, how many of you work in crypto full time, and how many use this as an additional source of income?

If you want to, you can share with us what you are doing in crypto. Is it trading, aidrops, writing articles, marketing, etc ?
All jobs you may take can be paid using cryptocurrency. Literally anything as it depends to the agreement between you and your employer.
Say for example, me, my job I took here is participate to avatar and signature campaign. This is a part-time job for me though, not full.
I know some developer peeps that works in blockchain environment, they are full time. However I don't know what is the payment method for their salary.

Furthermore, I'm certain that there are lots of people nowadays that became full time into cryptocurrency trading.
As long as you are earning more than what you get from day jobs then you may think about considering cryptocurrency as your full-time job. It totally depends on how we take crypto into our life and I know that the majority are here taking this as a side hustle as we are not been in the forum or even in trading for 24 hours. In fact, I'd just spend a few hours in here and do other stuff. It was not a problem anyways, what important is we have multiple sources of income which are really in need at this time.
1356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: April 20, 2023, 11:53:58 AM

As per speculations, there's really no clarity whether Loma is already past his prime or not even if his age suggests that it's not yet over but judging from his previous fight, the one when he return from inactivity because of the war, he's not that kind of Loma anymore that we used to know. We surely don't know what happened but I hope he was just adjusting and what we saw in his recent fight wasn't his present form because if ever that was it, I'd say that Devin Haney will definitely win without a doubt.

I agree that he is still active and winning fights, yet we think he has already passed his prime. Well, let's give him a chance to prove that people are wrong. This is the fight where he is the underdog, and a win here will settle the discussion about whether he is still in his prime or not.

It's because he is facing a young fighter in Devin Haney so we think that he is already passed him prime. And based on his last performance against another young talent in Ortiz, Loma seems to ave difficulty breaking him, as if Loma has lost his steps in boxing.

But we can say that because that's only one fight. Maybe he is just off that night against Ortiz. But he still manage to win that fight. For sure he knows that he has been criticized on that performance and maybe will show better and send message that he is still one of the best and not out of his prime yet.
But every boxer has a different style. He may have problems with one boxer but find it easy to beat another. We know Haney is a different boxer since Loma hasn't fought him before, so maybe Loma can devise a strategy that will work for Haney, and he'll win impressively here.
1357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 20, 2023, 11:24:47 AM
Yeah if Paul George is coming back there would be a chance but according to media insiders he is unlikely to return for a game in the first round of the playoffs.

Even with home court advantage now I don't see the Clippers beating the Suns because Phoenix just has too many offensive weapons. There is only 1 Kawhi but 2 crazy shooters to defend with KD and Book. My prediction for this series is Suns in 6 but I would also be happy with an upset, not a fan of super team chasing Kevin Durant anymore.

It would be okay if he does not return in the first half, as based on what I'm seeing, the Clippers really have a decent chance of winning due to the great chemistry of Westbrook and Leonard. Sometimes, two superstars are better than having a big 3, as there are only two options on the team to carry the load.

Game 3 is tomorrow, and we will see if the Clippers will be able to take advantage of their home court. Winning tomorrow will give them a good lead in the series, as the next game will also be on the same venue.
1358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 13) on: April 20, 2023, 07:16:01 AM
I hope this does not happen, as much as Casimero is at fault for the situation he is in, at the same time it would be a shame if his talent was buried by the series of circumstances which surrounded him, he needs to win this fight and do so with authority, and then try to look for a fight for the title or at least he needs to become an official challenger, as the longer he takes to get a fight for the title the harder it would be for him to get that chance.

Let's trust him to get an impressive win in this fight. He knows what to do, and if he can beat opponents who are champions, then I guess Nghitumbwa is not going to be a problem for him. He is more than capable of scoring a knockout, and who knows, we might see him in a championship fight after this one. However, whatever happens next, what matters now is that he should not lose. One step at a time, and eventually, the right time will come.
1359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering requirements for withdraw on: April 20, 2023, 06:50:45 AM
The 5x wager isn't really a scam per se. I don't agree with it 1 bit, but if people read the ToS they would know what they're getting themselves into. 5x isn't exactly hard to do either, especially if the site has dice, which they do.

Now the KYC and ToS being used as a weapon I can agree with. I think if a site allows you to deposit and you win, you should be paid as long as you didn't cheat to win. I don't consider gambling from an illegal jurisdiction cheating. I think a site should enforce KYC pre deposit or they forfeit the right to use it against a player later so they can get out of paying a player their winnings.
It might not be for scamming specifically, but it does have something to do with looting the money of their gamblers since it isn't really as easy as you describe it to complete a 5x wagering requirement with your balance intact and not losing a very large portion of it since we all know how gambling is with the house edge and all.

If a casino has a 5x wagering requirement of the money deposited by a customer, they probably don't want their customers to at least get back what they've deposited, it's another thing if they are lucky enough to win something big with it, and then complete the requirement and withdraw the money that might remain after that, but that's not a very common thing in my opinion.

It's very simple: if you don't like a casino for their unfavorable terms, then don't gamble on it. Scam casinos are different from those that don't have favorable terms for their gamblers. They are running a business and are ensuring they'll win using their advantage. With lots of casinos in the industry, I'm sure we can find one that will satisfy our demands as gamblers.
1360  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't encourage multiple trading! on: April 20, 2023, 06:30:00 AM
For me, it's not ideal to make a trade over three positions because there's a possibility you can't manage to watch those price movements unless you execute all trades according to the plan like having a take profit and stop loss already to make sure you can manage to have multiple trades. Just wondering if this is futures trading or just long-term trading if the long term you can hold as much as you want and you are heading for over a month and year, in the future that's quite hard to handle to have more than three trades open. Always manage your risk.
Even if he does but can't be sure that it will work fine, some of them make a mess.
In order to avoid this possible scenario, we better focus on a single trade or maybe two traders together still okay but more than 2, we can't really imagine having passive results.

And even pro-traders and those who are in trading for several years never practiced this strategy as they know that it gives no benefits rather than just losses.
