1281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 11, 2023, 12:02:24 PM
Is there any free live streaming available for this game? I have found some live streams on Facebook, but they are not clear, and I'm not sure if they are really live. Could you please share any reliable sources? I am eager to see how the Philippines will play against a team with a lot of naturalized players from the host country.

As of now, Cambodia is up 16 points already after the first half.
1282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 11, 2023, 11:38:02 AM
I thought that's gonna be the last game for the Warriors until Curry closes in the 2nd quarter with a buzzer beater for the 11 point lead.

Dub nation is still alive but then the game 6 will be played on Crypto.com arena. While on this game 5, we saw how helpful the crowd cheering for the Warriors.

We will then see the opposite of it but then that's not gonna guarantee the end of this series.

The Warriors win most of the time at home, so it's not surprising that they won at home. Additionally, the departure of Davis helps the Warriors maintain their momentum, as the Lakers are only playing small ball later in the 4th quarter.

Regarding the update on Davis, he seems to be okay.

1283  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Technical indicators vs the News on: May 11, 2023, 09:02:02 AM
Analysing the trend of the crypto market can be very complicated, base on the fact that their are two major deciding factor in price analysis when trading, which are the technical indicators an news about a project.
I have not been in the crypto space for not too long but I have come to the conclusion that the news is more influential in the trend of the market than the technical indicators, guys what do you think?
I consider them both when making an analysis but as I can see, news is more influential and could affect the trend. This is possible because of the influencers who use social media platforms to create market drama and manipulate the market. That is why if we are in trading we should not just stick to charts and price movement but also must spend more time on the news as we don't need to become outdated but rather make ourselves updated.
An analysis is not pretty easy and effortless, it was indeed a time-consuming.
1284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can NFTs last forever? on: May 11, 2023, 07:30:41 AM
So, what's the point of investing in NFTs if they can disappear in an instant? Unless all of the content is stored on the Blockchain itself, I don't see how NFTs will be able to last forever. Are there already solutions in the works that I'm not aware of? Please enlighten me on this. Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley
Well, I don't know what makes people think that NFT is valuable because not even see it as worth buying. NFT projects have no future, hope I was wrong but as I see it, they got a name because of some influencers, not because of their market potential.
Though I take advantage of the situation during the hypes but never I think I have to hold them as I sell them while it was still tradable because now, nobody is about to buy them - they are just as sort of collections.
1285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: with the high transaction fees btc makes me stronger to hold btc. on: May 11, 2023, 06:48:09 AM
Well, the high transaction fees that we have had in the past few days are obviously a big challenge for traders and new investors, and I even confirm myself that it helps me not to spend my BTC but rather hold and wait for the fees to drop. And I know that many people make this a reason to hold and just like what I did, they will move and convert their BTC.
The fees could be sometimes a reason but it was temporary. People will hold for a strong reason and they will keep doing this as it was their goal.
1286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 11, 2023, 03:50:54 AM
So far, Poole has been playing well. With 10 minutes into the game, he has already scored 6 points from 3/6 shooting. It's crucial that he keeps up this momentum because the Warriors need some offense from players who haven't contributed in the past. Additionally, Wiggins and Green have already reached double digits. I sense that the Warriors might take this series back to LA.
That was a better performance than the last two games, but let's see if he can contribute consistently. Despite the Warriors having a big lead now, the game is not over yet. We're still in the third quarter, with under three minutes left, so there's still plenty of time for the Lakers to come back.

It's an exciting game to watch, just like the past games.

Personally, I want the Warriors to win, so we can still witness more games in this series.
1287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 13) on: May 11, 2023, 03:21:48 AM
wow the odds are out on stake.com

https://stake.com/sports/boxing/international/international-matchups/43587054-nghitumbwa-fillipus-casimero-john-riel

It's strange that Casimero has an odd of @1.31 normally this odd value tends to be a trap, if Casimero had an odd of @1.10 I would be convinced that he would win this fight without any difficulties, but now that I see this odd then it means that the bookmakers are still not convinced that casimir will get an easy victory in this fight, probably the risk of him losing is medium in practice, but also betting on a fight like this and with odds of @1.31 doesn't seem to be viable, even that he wins the profit would not pay off unless one adds this fight to a multibet bet but that too would be very risky

anyway if Casimero loses in this fight then Nghitumbwa will become very famous and will start to attract a lot of attention in the Boxing world so this fight is more important for Nghitumbwa than a victory here he will climb many steps on the ladder of fame and will also feel more confident that he can beat more international fighters, however in case he loses here in a humiliating way he will be a joke, people even before he fights laugh at him and don't see him winning this fight, so if he loses everyone will he'll laugh a lot, of course he'll feel bad but it's a risk he took the moment he agreed to fight

3.4 for Nghitumbwa, which he has a slim chance but if luck favors him, he will indeed make a loud noise humiliating a top dog.  His next fight will be more challenging as well. He'll need more luck from his supporters.

Proving himself against the rest on top will be more challenging for a fighter who hasn't even tested fighting abroad. But who knows, almost all his fights ended in a KO.

I love the betting odds, and even though it's only 1.31 for Casimero, I don't mind because it's free money for me. Casimero, a former champion, is fighting an unknown boxer, and the chance of an upset is very slim. Therefore, I'm taking Casimero's money line without any doubt. Let's wait for the full market to be unlocked; at least we already have the money line bets available for now. It's also up on Sportsbet.

You actually have the spirit and motivation which likely lead you to success.
But I have to warn you also not to push yourselves to the limit, you must not forget your health situation as well. And I will tell you that crypto investment is stressful if you keep watching it and more if you wanted to earn fast. Don't get yourself hooked on it, start with a small amount and gradually increase it from time to time, it actually become big a few months from now and that will give you more profit as well which is enough to sustain your needs without relying on your parents anymore.

1289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New coin - PEPE on: May 10, 2023, 09:47:13 PM
I bought it near the top, I bought MONG which is being shilled by crypto influencer, Crypto Bitlord. Both are down massively, I feel a bit stupid but I’m going to hold them down to $0 if I have to. They weren’t big investments so I will hold them & hope for a resurrection. With some luck they will both pump to new highs in the next year or so.
That seems hopeless honestly and you have nothing to do but hold and let it stuck into your wallet.
That I realized how bad it was relying on and following influencers, they're really good at convincing people to invest, and yeah, could be one reason for our losses.

And talking about this new hot and popular meme coin "Pepe". I was worried about these latecomers who just buy this at its peak price because not sure how long it be there as it possibly drops anytime.
1290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People with quick rich attitude always mess up with alt coins on: May 10, 2023, 09:10:41 PM
Investing in crypto is different and you can't be greedy here otherwise, instead of earning more, we possibly lose more.
Yes, it was too risky to invest in hyped projects where many people have been experiencing an unforeseeable drop. Many had suffered losses because of being optimistic and greedy assuming that once the price of the project goes up it will continue without thinking that a drop is inevitable. Well, inexperienced investors or traders will usually caught in this thing. Then I have to encourage them to try to change their insights about crypto and listen to advice.
1291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: May 10, 2023, 01:02:35 PM
Loma has a high IQ, so I trust that he'll find a good strategy to defeat Haney's defensive style. Loma might be a little slower now because he is aging and probably not in his prime anymore, but this fight is the way to prove his true status in boxing. If he can win here, it will be a big lift to his boxing career.

I think both boxers have a high IQ, and there's a reason why Loma is the underdog in this fight. Haney's defensive style will remain, and he'll try to score against Loma. I guess he already learned from his mistake against Kambosos, as Kambosos hit him with some solid shots in their rematch. However, this cannot happen against Loma, who is better than Kambosos, as it could cost him the fight and result in a loss.
1292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jason Moloney vs Vincent Astrolabio WBO 118lbs Title (May 13) on: May 10, 2023, 12:19:32 PM
I am tailing the bet for Vincent Astrolabio here and there's no regret even if he loses.

This is what you call betting with emotions, hehe... Well, I guess I will also jump on the bandwagon and root for the Filipino to win, just to support the boxer. But what will happen if the Filipino wins and Donaire also wins his respective fight? Then we will have three Filipino champions in the same division: Donaire, Tapales, and Astrolabio.
1293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 09, 2023, 06:44:20 AM

I think the team should trade Jordan Poole since he hasn't been as useful as he was during the last playoffs. I'm not sure what happened to him, but since receiving a huge contract, his stats have dropped significantly.
If the Warriors fall to the Lakers, there will be no more opportunity for Jordan Poole to prove himself. He has been inconsistent, especially in the postseason, and it's unlikely that the team will still consider him as a player to grow with. I'm not sure if the Warriors made a mistake by giving him a max contract instead of Draymond, but I think they may be regretting that decision now.
1294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jason Moloney vs Vincent Astrolabio WBO 118lbs Title (May 13) on: May 09, 2023, 06:10:24 AM
Although I'm not very familiar with these boxers, I believe that they have almost equal skills based on the betting odds. The name Moloney rings a bell for me because he was supposed to fight Donaire, but he backed out and chose another opponent instead.

It's hard to choose a winner since I'm not very familiar with them, and I won't be placing any bets, but I'm definitely going to watch this fight. Who knows, the winner here might unify with Donaire if he wins.
1295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Bitcoin in Student Life on: May 08, 2023, 08:47:28 PM
I also think that it is better to keep my money on crypto rather than Bank, it is not just about security but also the return is far more greater than holding it on bank.
It was a great option when you have knowledge already of crypto but on the side of OP, well, I encourage you to continue that plan instead of putting in the banks as surely it was affected by inflation.
Quote
The only thing that concerns me is that how would we explain it when the time comes that we have to exchange our crypto into Fiat and it is illegal in our country?
I am sure that it would be somehow get didected or it would be suspicious.
Even though it was not legal but as long as it was not banned in their country, they can still invest and hold their Bitcoin. Well, the problem is that when converting it to fiat money. But there is a solution to that problem and OP must not focus on it but instead, think about the future and this is one way to help his studies and for his family. He no longer asks his parents for support anymore as he already have some source of income.
1296  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to maintain profitability in crypto trading on: May 08, 2023, 08:09:16 PM

3) Increase your capital: if you want to maintain profits in your crypto trading, you need to work hard to increase your capital so that it will help you to buy huge amount of coins that will help you to maintain your regular profits in the market.

Just like in business adding more capital is a way to increase profit and market market share.
However, when it comes to trading, I know we wanted more but must have to think that it adds risk as well. I'd never find it a good option in trading unless it was really necessary if our capital is very small. We should not be greedy in trading and must know contentment otherwise, this would lead us to addiction and we know what will happen when greediness is on our side - out of control and losses.
1297  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading or investment! What's your take? on: May 05, 2023, 03:09:27 PM
I always prefer investment over trading, but that is personally about me and nothing about other things. I know that it is going to change a lot when the time comes but we should not be shocked at trading becoming a lot better, and there are some people who can trade and make a lot more money for sure.

I agree with that as I also preferred to consider Bitcoin as an investment rather than using this for trading pairs.
Not only because I don't like it but its of how it moves and is less volatile compared to altcoins, therefore, I would say that it never suits it. The high volatility of Altcoins seems to be its advantage as it generates more profit than using Bitcoin. In fact, major traders do not often use this as their trading pairs but instead, they are using more altcoins preferably new and hyped projects.
1298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin doesn't give you instant 100 percent profits on: May 05, 2023, 02:16:20 PM

Many investors of Bitcoin are only investing because of the stories that they have heard or seen on social media of how a particular coins has changed someone life overnight. The current trending story is of the guy that bought $25 worth $PEPE memecoin and turned that investment into millions of dollars. This is why people are now coming into the market thinking they can get same results.
Influencers really got the attention of many greedy people who think that they become rich overnight. They assume that once they invest in Bitcoin, they will earn a profit right away. Many misinformations are circulated on the internet and these scammers take advantage of it while these greedy people are looking for it.
Quote
Many people think Bitcoin can do the same things those memecoins do so they invest in Bitcoin but they don't even understand what Bitcoin is all about and that's very wrong because they won't benefit from Bitcoin future price increase as they'll be sacred and dumo their coins to leave the market.
Not to wonder anyway. Developers try to trick investors (newbies) by giving them a promising word and giving them profit assurance but behind that, it is all just words, a broken promises.
1299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: May 05, 2023, 01:07:20 PM
I sure do hope that we will still see the old Loma, so that he can give Haney a good fight and might dethrone him from being the undisputed champion in this division. But if not, I'm confident to say that it will be like a walk in the park Devin Haney.
I think we all are rooting for the same thing though, I guess not for Loma to defeat Haney, but at least he should be able to give the current undisputed champion an interesting fight, which is the latter. Especially the people, us, which asked for this fight because we totally believed that Lomachenko himself deserved a shot as that shoulder injury he had was the reason why he lost that 3 belt he held once.
I guess it’s hard to believe that Haney will eventually lose to Loma, as his performance can really tell it all. However, if the old Loma’s boxing myth will be seen back in the ring, that would mean a very challenging fight for Haney, and a very exciting and interesting fight for the audience. Haney could be the crowd’s favorite and it’s an obvious fact, but who knows if Loma will surprise us with his best shots and give Haney the best blows ever.
Upsets happen in boxing, so it's not hard to believe that Haney could lose. He may be the favorite in this fight, but that doesn't mean he cannot lose. The likelihood of Haney winning the fight is probably high, based on the bookies and some experts, but we will only find out if that's true once the fight is over. For now, if we want to enjoy, we should place our bets already.
1300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 05, 2023, 12:22:52 PM

Then probably the league has to revise their rules regarding the penalty and make it more severe so players won't break it just because they earn more than the penalty that will be imposed on them. The main concern here is the health of the players. Once they are injured and they are a big piece of the team, the whole team will suffer, and they'll have a bad season. That's what the league is trying to prevent. It's what we call protecting their investment.

Good point and that's what the actual reason why they are preventing players to play outside after signing the contract, they are protecting their investment as we all know how much they are paying for those players just to play and contribute for the team, and once those players got injured, it will impacted to the performances of the whole team for the entire season.

Those players who are involved in this current issue are not just a practice players but part of the rotations where they can really give something for the team.

If more players will do the same and worse things happen, then it will really affect the league, as what you said better to revise the rules and not just for the organization but also with how teams will implement the rules to make sure if there're newcomers or rising stars that will play for them, they will not repeat that same mistake.

It has already become a major problem, so it's timely to revise the rules and impose more serious sanctions on players who violate their agreement. The PBA should still be considered as the biggest basketball league in the Philippines, and although I'm in favor of revising the penalties or sanctions, I think they should also consider the salaries of the players and ensure that they remain competitive with the current standard.
