when taking into account all the pool hoppers on btcguild, does this pps-btcguild give higher payout to honest miners even with the 7% fees? i don't mind variance from the regular btcguild, but i just don't want to do the dirty work for the hoppers

2223  Economy / Services / Re: Starcraft 2 Coaching 0.5 BTC per hour on: September 12, 2011, 04:46:34 AM
how does it make sense if you're only platinum level and you're willing to coach diamond players?

i'm masters level with all races, and if were to coach, i would charge less than 0.5btc :p

my password has 11 characters total: 1 symbol, 8 letters, and 2 numbers. what are the chances it gets broken into after it's hashed?
2225  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Radeon HD 6970 (SOLD!) on: September 11, 2011, 05:22:01 AM
that's great to hear. $225 a pop for these is a really good price, and it's great that you got that defective one worked out.
2226  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling all my bitcoin mining cards on: September 07, 2011, 09:09:13 PM
Ima just post these on ebay or sell to some of the bitcoin miners here at MIT
well gee, that was fast. i called you out on a few things and you go running already. sure, go ahead and sell on ebay. but just letting you know ebay doesn't accept BTC, but they do charge a lot of ebay fees lol. if you're going to receive payment by paypal selling these on ebay, might as well accept paypal on here as well, without the ebay fees.

i would think that someone that goes to MIT was smart enough realize that. or at the very least, someone from MIT would type correctly.

No, Cyber Security.
not exactly sure what you mean by this, but i'm assuming you're not going to post any of the things i requested because you want to protect your personal info?

well GTFO then, don't bother selling anything if a buyer can't have a piece of mind for security for themselves from more douche scammers.
2228  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling all my bitcoin mining cards on: September 07, 2011, 08:58:34 PM
i will buy some of the cards, but only if you accept paypal, amazon, or dwolla.

only condition i'll pay with BTC upfront is if you have more feedback than me, receipt of the items purchased on those dates, and proof you still have the items with you. if you can't provide any of these, send the item first and i can give you full payment in anything you want.

low post count, excuses to provide pictures, only accepting non-reversible payments, and low priced items are a recipe for a scammer. please prove me wrong otherwise.

At first glance mine was sent from Jung  Whitley not Yung Whitley. It is the identical email address though.

wtf? ok no.... this person is changing the paypal info and i'm 100% certain of this. when i first posted all this HERE, the "Jung Whitley" as well as all the other info was copy and pasted, so therefore it was not a typing error. and now i also noticed from my screenshot that the name is now changed to "Yung Whitley". so it's not just your mind playing tricks on you, this person is changing his/her info on paypal. just like how he changed his forum name from Ninja to Hollie.

looks like a nice upgrade based on the unconfirmed leaked info, although pricing will determine if it's a worthy upgrade to current mining cards. here's a summary that's relevant to mining:

7990 - 4000?SP, @ ???mhz,  300w TDP
7970 - 2048 SP, @ 1000mhz, 190w TDP
7950 - 1920 SP, @ 900mhz,  150w TDP
7870 - 1536 SP, @ 950mhz,  120w TDP
7850 - 1408 SP, @ 850mhz,  90w TDP
7670 - 768 SP,  @ 900mhz,  60w TDP

hmm very nice boost in stream processors.

there's also already a main thread on the HD7000 series cards.

Anyone have any experience with Unity Electronics, the vendor that this comes from?
buy with your credit card so in case anything happens, you can dispute it.
2233  Economy / Goods / Re: BRAND NEW HP TOUCHPAD!!! STILL IN SEALED BOX on: September 05, 2011, 09:35:55 PM
I know this seems kind of silly at this point, but we need all the information we can get. Could you guys post proof of payment (screenshots are preferred) as well as all correspondence (preferably timestamped, along with the relevant time zone) with Hollie and Stefanie Andrea?

hmm what's the point? not like much can be reversed. here's a screenshot of paypal payment from stefanie. several people sent money to this same paypal address that was supposedly Hollie's paypal account, so even without checking IPs and stuff, they are the same person.

haploid can I have permission to ask trini8d to build me one using your design lay out (or may be add to it?)

ya sure, go ahead and use the design, i don't mind at all. in fact, stellan0r saw this thread and did the exact same thing but stretched it a little bit. i believe he posted pics of his version on the first page.

i'm also using dual PSU on one of my rigs. does it matter that they do not have a common ground?

2238  Economy / Goods / Re: BRAND NEW HP TOUCHPAD!!! STILL IN SEALED BOX on: September 01, 2011, 07:40:05 AM
So let me get this straight,
Money was sent to Ninja/Hollie to a Paypal account named Jung Whitey.
&
Money was received from Andrea Stefanie via a Paypal account named Jung Whitley.

Well I sold Andrea a 5850 last week he paid me via a Paypal account named Jung Whitley

yes, that's exactly right. you're in the same position as i am. if marks1976 wins the paypal dispute, then there's a really high chance paypal will pull that money from you because it was originally from marks1976 or others that payed this "jung whitley" account.

Jung whitley is the name I sent my paypal payment to and received no product back in return.  I have opened a dispute with Paypal in regards to this user.  The money transferred from Paypal was probably partially mine as well as others.  Continue to look at other posts this person Hollie/Ninja/Stefanie has been associated with all dealings withing each post of the other user.  There is a post in here somewhere that Stefanie denies being these other people or a scammer.  Do not deal with any of the usernames given.

Ninja/Hollie is one account (with changed user names), and Stefanie Andrea is a separate account. if you bought and paid money to Hollie to a paypal account with "Jung whitley", and Stefanie sent me money from the paypal account with "Jung whitley" name also, then it's pretty much confirmed that Ninja/Hollie and Stefanie Andrea is the same person.

if you win the paypal dispute, this is actually bad for me because there's a high chance paypal will withdraw that money from me since it was originally yours.  Embarrassed
