2241  Local / Pamilihan / Re: InvestaFest 2021 | January 21-27 on: January 21, 2021, 11:20:33 PM
I think hindi rin masama kung mag gain access ka sa VIP for only $30 may matututunan ka rin namang aral doon at marami pa.
Much better kung may mga tanong po kayo from the previous speakers and you feel the need for clarification. Isa pa, madami din naman perks bukod sa lifetime access, magiging eligible ka din sa mga raffle, live trading session, saka makakasama ka sa live question and answer. But then, okay na ako sa free pass LOL.

This day nailabas na yung second set of speakers and pwede nang panoorin. Mawawala na yung recorded videos nung mga nauna since I am also just using free pass.

2244  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Practices for sending to exchange on: January 20, 2021, 03:30:06 AM
I usually triple check the receiving address after copy pasting it to ensure that there will be no clipboard hijacking incident, checking each and every letters and numbers in an address may be a tedious work but it could save from losing you money most of the time.

Alternatively, you can also generate a receiving address in a form of QR code and I think most of the exchange has that function but still even if you are using QR code, you should always double or triple check the recipient address before broadcasting a transaction.

Bitcoin.
Many talked more about btc but I actually haven't come to really know how it works and how you can convert btc in naira for direct usage.
@CryptopreneurBrainboss has an existing currency exchange service. You can just reach him out by replying to his thread for you to be able to exchange your bitcoin to naira.

2246  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: receive question on: January 19, 2021, 11:51:31 PM
Depends on your preferred method since you can actually do both.

You can just go to Menu -->  View --> Show addresses in order for you to see all the list of address that is generated from your wallet. Or you an just click the "Receive" button on the receiving tab which will automatically choose an address from your generated addresses that is still not used in a transaction.
2247  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Looking for Auction or other site to sell on on: January 19, 2021, 10:00:48 AM
Actually if you use google and search the platforms where you can possibly sell your artwork many options well pop up their and its just you need to research on what is best platform for you to place your works on
OP isn't looking for some NFT or any useless token for selling his/her artworks. He's looking for buyers who can accept bitcoin in exchange for his artwork.

I'm looking for a site I can sell my art on that accepts Bitcoin and or other digital currency.

If it were me, I would also auction my artwork here or to any other bitcoin marketplace than going to a marketplace that pays newly created token. I've seen a similar project before that offers these kind of some sort of gallery but unfortunately the project failed after their investors dump their tokens.
2248  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: beginners. Understanding bitcoin private key on: January 19, 2021, 07:16:40 AM
About your question, that is your Bitcoin address and yes,
it's same as your address. when you want your friend come to your home you have to share it. when you want receive bitcoin you have to share it, Public key is bitcoin address
That's not accurate. Bitcoin addresses that is used for receiving and depositing crypto are different from public keys. This is the common misconception with regards to this subject.

Let's say for example you have created a bitcoin address. The process goes like this.

k(Private Key) ==> Elliptic Curve Cryptography ==> K(Public Key) ==> SHA256 ==> bitcoin address.

bitcoin addresses are created due to the existence of public key wherein the public keys are derived from the private key. Public keys are derived using the elliptic curve cryptography which is in fact irreversible.

2249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Uniswap wallet question. on: January 19, 2021, 07:04:39 AM
but don’t m is where to store the uniswap cyrpto at.
You can't store ERC20 tokens in Uniswap because it is simply just a place where you can instantly exchange ERC20 tokens without using any order book and it is very different from most of the popular centralize exchange you encounter such as Binance, Kraken, Coinbase and what not. In order for you to use Uniswap, you need to have a wallet which supports ERC20 token for you to able to make a crypto deposit and eventually connect Uniswap to your preferred wallet.

Fortunately, Uniswap supports numerous wallets which you can use to easily connect to the DEX, store those token and be able to trade them immediately.

The site I am on I can’t transfer back to it. I was thinking of trezzor wallet but  it it only allows 1000 tokens right now and not sure if the ones I want will be allowed to put on there. I am a super noob . Please help thanks .
Check the website of the token you want to transfer to see which wallet that supports them.
2250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reinvest initial investment, or keep profits? on: January 18, 2021, 10:51:47 AM
Personally though, I would re-invest that initial capital using Dollar Cost Averaging or maybe have it ready when a smaller dip is present in the market. Also, it would be much better if you can re-invest your capital at a similar price back when you first bought a fraction of your bitcoin although it's unlikely to happen.

However, it is not also a bad idea to re-invest your capital if you have another traditional investment in mind (e.g., real estate, mutual funds, stocks) assuming that you have an emergency fund ready on both cases and has an ample knowledge to that specific investment.
2251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Large capital advantage? on: January 18, 2021, 06:29:25 AM
If you have a larger capital, you will have an immense advantage. You will stay longer, and the opportunity to win will increase, depending on the odds, of course and the risk management. Overall, bigger capital wins, for sure.
Unless otherwise you don't have enough knowledge with regards to proper risk management.

I've seen a lot of people dumping most of his money without realizing and strategizing the amount of money he could risk per bet. And I think that's the reason why people having large capital doesn't guarantee they can last longer compared to an average gambler. Remember that gambling is a means of risking an X amount of money on an event that solely relies on chances.
2252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lost Litecoin (LTC) passphrase for wallet! Please help! on: January 18, 2021, 03:13:30 AM
I had my passphrase for my litecoins (around 250 pcs) on a sheet of paper (I know, not the smartest idea) and I lost it!
It's actually the right thing to do -- writing your seed phrase on a piece of paper and then make a copy of that paper as a backup. That's the most common way of storing cryptocurrency seed phrase.

I cannot remember if I choosed it on purpose or if I just smashed the keyboard and printed the passphrase (really).

In the core I can try as many passphrases as I want, is there any way to find the right one?
If you can't remember most of the words given to you then you have little to no chance of recovering your Litecoins.
2253  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: accusation for using alts (2018) on: January 18, 2021, 01:22:33 AM

As far as I know, pwede mo silang i-PM or mag post ka ng concern sa Reputation board pero I'm not sure kung mag eentertain sila ng PM.

Edit: LOL! Ang daming connected accounts. Makita lang nila yang references sa trust rating mo for sure walang entertainment na magaganap sa request mo.
2254  Economy / Gambling / Re: reebet cashier on: January 17, 2021, 07:32:31 AM
Hoping someone can answer my question in regards to reebet cashier and BTC.
Did you mean Roobet? If that's what you mean then Roobet's balance is based on USD and not in BTC. I also have the same question with regards to this matter.

Greetings! Just want to ask a question!

Why does the value of bitcoin in USD is stagnant even though the price of BTC in the market is skyrocketing? Just noticed it when I was using the platform. Replies would be appreciated. Thank you.  Wink
Because as soon as your Bitcoin deposit reached your Roobet's balance, it will logically be converted to USD, it's not the same with other casinos who uses Bitcoin as balance unit (e.g. 0.089..btc).
If you will be withdrawing your balance, it will be then converted back to bitcoin, the value depends on the price of bitcoin the time you processed your withdrawal.

Let's say you deposited 0.5btc when bitcoin's value was $7,000, your accounts' balance will stay at 7k until you finally withdrawn it.
Let's say bitcoin's value went up to $14,000 and you still have that $7,000...
Decided to withdraw it, then you'll be withdrawing only 0.25btc, since bitcoin's price went double, and 0.25btc that time will be equivalent to $7,000.

2255  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin Got Hacked From My Wallet on: January 17, 2021, 07:11:39 AM
Didn’t Nano Ledger just get hacked as well?  Is it still safe to use?
The device itself is safe to use since the private key will never leave the device. The database leak on their end have nothing to do with the security of your funds in the Ledger. However, your privacy is at risk and you are prone to receive phishing links via email, random phone calls which might trigger losing your funds if you are not being careful. Or worst, the $5 Wrench Attack might happen.
2256  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin Got Hacked From My Wallet on: January 17, 2021, 06:25:16 AM
- I just found that I did send the recovery phrase to the same email address I was using as a backup.  Not sure if my email account got hack though, as I am still able to access it.
If for instance that you entered your login credentials 3 years ago on a blockchain.com phishing site, I won't be surprised if these hackers did not change your existing email, password and what not. I bet that they even wait for your next deposit for them to steal your bitcoin for the second time.

- I have SMS 2-step Verification using my phone numbers.
As far as I know, a "Man-in-the-Middle Attack" is doable to bypass an account with an active 2 Factor Authentication especially if they are using a phishing site.

I don’t even know my private key.  Where can I find it from the wallet app?  If they were able to recovery my wallet in their device, then they can just send the money out.
Once the attackers has the access to your account. They can easily get your seed phrase from Settings --> Security and once they have it, they can access your account to another wallet and then do the transfer without triggering a transfer history on your blokchain.com wallet.

These are just possible scenarios though.

Use a non-custodial bitcoin wallet instead and practice using backups to ensure that you won't be experiencing this again.
2257  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how can i create bitcoin wallet and deposit on it on: January 17, 2021, 05:47:01 AM
i made a wallet in bitcoinofficial.org but i don't trust them yet "i didn't found enough reviews about it"
There is no official website for bitcoin. bitcoinofficial[.]org also has a Scam Accusation thread.
[1] [WARNING] Stay Away from Bitcoinofficial.org

You also have many options aside from using coinbase as an exchange for buying bitcoins. If you want to buy bitcoin without having any KYC/AML verification, you can go to these P2P platforms.

[2] https://bisq.network/

As for the wallet, I highly suggest using Electrum. Download it from their official website and then verify it before the installation process in your desktop/PC.
2258  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: P2P Hustles on: January 17, 2021, 05:16:35 AM
What do they change? And what are the gamut of risks associated P2P platforms like Bisq? Any members been fleeced using Bisq? Should I make that a separate thread?
I personally do not have any horrible experience when using a P2P Exchange Platform, at least in my country. However, there are instances that a fraud might happen in the middle of an exchange between the buyer and the seller. It could be the following scenario.

- The reversal of payment transaction after the seller released the bitcoin from the platforms's escrow.
- The buyer is using a compromised/hack/stolen bank account which he/she will used in the middle of an exchange.
- Or perhaps, you are being told to do a different way of transacting rather than the standard/ recognized way of transaction.

There is an in-depth thread regarding this issue as well.

2259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Paquiao VS Connor McGreggor? on: January 17, 2021, 04:36:14 AM
If this fight between Manny Pacquiao VS Connor McGregor is possible. Is there any sports betting platform that will list the said match? Do you have any recommendations? I always thought about participating in sports betting especially with boxing matches.

It is not surprise to see an immediate announcement between these 2 boxers to settle a match if McGregor manages to win against Dustin Poirier.

This is the list of book, it is originally posted by Maus0728, which would be very helpful for anyone that want to know more about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
Hello @Charles-Tim,

Someone requested a permission to enter my gmail account. If I remember it correctly, I previously configured the accessibility to my PDF's due to an issue of unethical distribution of digital copies. I became guilty when someone quoted me regarding this issue so I decided to close it from the public. But then I appreciate you quoting my list.

As for OP, I think the only reason why you are currently experiencing fear is because of lack of knowledge when it comes to a certain to pic and obviously just like what everyone has mentioned, the only thing you can do to reduce your fear in getting your feet wet is by educating and consuming cryptocurrency resources as much as you can. I could not find a better advice other than a passion to learn something that will add value to yourself.

Furthermore, since these eBooks are restricted, I will instead drop the resources that I personally read on a daily basis.
