On the contrary, I think the Jordan Clarkson will get traded the soonest and I was hoping that he will go the Lakers again and play with Bron.

I don't care which team but I would love to see Jordan Clarkson traded to any teams that are capable of reaching the playoffs. I don't want him to stay in a rebuilding team and waste his prime years.

Clarkson with the Lakers will be good for the team and his career too. He can be a perfect alternative when Bron and AD take their rest. He can even play in the first five to confuse the opposing team's defense. Schroder, Clarkson, Bron, and AD together in the court would be offensively deadly.

True, Clarkson's talent will be wasted if he will still remain and play for the Utah Jazz or to guide the younger ones, He's just not suitable for it. There's a rumor that Bucks and Grizzlies are interested to get him but up until now there's no news on the nearest possibility, he will be so useful if he can play for Bucks or Grizzlies. But for Lakers? They are already stacked especially in point guards and I don't see that the Lakers has something to give for the Jazz in-exchange for Clarkson. I'm sure that the Lakers aren't ready to give up their future picks for the time being.

I think he'd be wasted on Memphis, they are loaded right now.  He would absolutely be perfect out on the Bucks.  He can play his 6th man role and would be complimentary to what they are doing out there.  The issue would be what the Bucks would have to give up for Clarkson.
2262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: September 30, 2022, 07:49:31 PM

Best guess is that both camps are already training because their forecasted date is approaching fast, they only have less than 2 months left to prepare and train. Maybe that's the same reason why they are so silent these days after we received an information that they've already reached a deal.

They will only train if the fight is already official, there's no reason for them to train hard with their team if there's no announcement yet, unless they know it's going to happen and promoters are just waiting for the right time to announce, what I'm saying is, if they start training for nothing, they will just be wasting money.

But this fighters are elite, and they have to stay in shape even at off season. And this is the secret of some of the best of them like Floyd and Manny or even Hopkins during his prime. This boxers keeps themselves in around their fighting weight by maybe doing some like trainings at home. Floyd and Manny loves to play basketball.

And so when the official fight is announced, they will just shift gears and focus 100% on the training itself. So they are not wasting money, they've just trying to get the edge.

The word is already out, we are just waiting for their final approach to make this official. They are aiming for November, it's already safe to say that both camps have already started their respective trainings even if there's no official announcement yet. They are the ones who know the real deal and they won't be wasting this far if a fight between Spence and Crawford is impossible this year, especially the latter. I don't think that Crawford will wait and settle until Spence is ready because he will be inactive for a year this coming November too.

And I agree, even if the fight is not yet settled, training is already part of their routine to keep and maintain their shape especially in times like this that there's only little time left to prepare. This is an undisputed fight, we already know that both fights will really come prepared.

Untrue

https://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/id/34696677/errol-spence-jr-terence-crawford-title-fight-risk-dispute-contract-details-sources-say

Looks like contract details aren't coming together.  No way a fight happens in November.  My guess is that Crawford is going to want to get in a fight before this one if this ever happens now.  This fight has to happen wish they would just squash the contract details and meet both half way to make this happen.

Is it normal to invest in projects that VC's invested money on?  And also can we see another top project in the rank of 1 to 20 failed like that of Luna? For those who have been here since 2016 do new altcoins always replace the present top 20 altcoins every crypto cycle?

Will a top 20 coin fail like luna...YES.  If history has taught us anything its that nothing is forever in crypto.  The next bullrun there will be other projects and flavors of the month that take over and nthose coins will pop in the top 20.  Only thing that has been constant the whole time...bitcoin.  everything else is temporary.

On the contrary, I think the Jordan Clarkson will get traded the soonest and I was hoping that he will go the Lakers again and play with Bron. But I do agree that it seems the Lakers are pretty much stack up with Westbrook still at the help.
.....
I think the Lakers are pretty full at the PG position and seem to be sticking with Westbrook. I was under the impression that Clarkson would have been the piece in any deal to get the Lakers picks and take Russ’ contract.
It seems that way for the Lakers. Clarkson-Westbrook should have happened already if both teams were really interested. I'm thinking the Lakers wanted more than what the Jazz is willing to give up for an older player.

Quote
Russell said today that he wants to go for the MVP this year, so maybe he’s feeling better this year… I’m not so sure MVP is in the cards for him ever again.
WB becoming an MVP means he'll be the floor general. I don't think that's happening while LBJ is there but it's a good that thing he's aiming for it. Downside is that their egos may clash on the court.

Mvp is crazy talk for Westbrook, with Luka, giannis, taytum, ja, jokic, etc etc but I do think he will have a bounce back year.  He is crafty he will figure it out.  Last year was pretty much the worst of it.  He is ultra competitive let's see what kind of summer he had training.  I'd like to see him bounce back.  NBA is always better when teams like the Lakers are competitive.
2265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anderson Silva vs Jake paul who you bet on? on: September 29, 2022, 10:40:26 PM
There is Anderson Silva (47 years old)
There is Jake paul 27 years old.

Anderson silva is one of the best fighters in ufc of a ll times along with jon jones, Demothry Jonson, gsp..
He has good boxing as well.  Finally paul someone who can box.

Anderosn silva is the better boxer
Jake paul has more strengh and youth advantage.

Both fighters know how to box. Jake paul ko some ufc fighters who don't box well like ben askren and tyron woodenly.
Anderson silva is the same weight class as jake paul (unlike his previous opponent who were weight class bellow)  That also help me to make my decision on the bet.

The odds now are close.

-140 on Anderson silva (Bet 140$ to gain 100$)
+100 on jake paul (Bet 100$ to win $100)

The Floyd mayweather fight show us  that champion kick ass even on their old age. Floyd  now is 45 years old and beat some young tokyo guy with 22-3 records.

I go on Anderson Silva  The dude has good boxing and he will train and be in good condition for fight.
There is no reason Silva shouldn't beat him.

500$ on Silva.

You just didn't compare Floyd with Silva did you lol.  Floyd fought Connor and Floyd is a BOXING all time great he wasn't crossing over into boxing.  Anderson Silva was never a professional boxer. Mma and boxing is wildly different.  Floyd could have been a zillion to 1 again Connor and it still would have been a good bet.  This matchup is just some exhibition that could go either way and the odds are about right.

Through July 2022, American gaming revenue hit $34.3 billion, a 15.5 percent rise from the same period in 2021, according to the American Gaming Association.
It can be a small minded thing to think that the only way to benefit from casinos and sports betting places is to gamble there. Investing in casinos and sports betting can be a profitable deal for you if you invest and buy good stock from worthy casinos.

Below is a list of Casino's to consider buying their stock, it is not a broad list, but just names some, please feel free to extend the list.
Quote
COMPANY (TICKER SYMBOL)   MARKET CAP   DESCRIPTION
Las Vegas Sands (LVS)   $29.2 billion   Operates a range of casino-hotels in Asia, including Singapore and Macau.
Caesars Entertainment (CZR)   $9.9 billion   Operates dozens of properties across the U.S. as well as a digital sports betting platform.
MGM Resorts International (MGM)   $13.4 billion   Operates major Las Vegas and regional casinos as well as sports and online betting sites.
Wynn Resorts (WYNN)   $6.9 billion   Operates a handful of high-end properties in Macau and Las Vegas as well as digital sports betting and online gaming.
PENN Entertainment (PENN)   $4.9 billion   Operates dozens of properties across the U.S., including casinos, online games and sports betting.
DraftKings (DKNG)   $8.3 billion   A digital gaming company enabling fantasy sports, sports betting and online gaming.
Melco Resorts and Entertainment (MLCO)   $2.5 billion   A Macau-based casino company, operates in the Philippines and Cyprus.

You can read more about the casino's here-https://southfloridareporter.com/investing-in-casinos-and-online-gambling-key-things-to-know/

Yeah ypu can definitely bet on the casinos buy buying in stock effectively becoming the house.  It's such a volatile business though so unless it's a well established casino with year over year returns you could likely be sinking you money in something as volatile as just betting the money away.
2267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Seeking miners to help secure Betcoin cryptocurrency on: September 29, 2022, 10:35:32 PM
As long as this token is only traded on one Pancakeswap, it will never gain much popularity or reach. What's the point of mining a token that's hard to sell and doesn't have enough liquidity? In the crypto sphere, the uniqueness of the consensus model alone is not enough. Mining is a means of making money, but in this case we can't talk about any earnings, because the coin is not supported by anyone or anywhere and has no strong investors.

Yep classic chicken or the egg situation.  You need to have good liquidity before you can get a strong mining community behind it.  Why would anyone with scrypt asics move away from mining litecoin and side mining doge to move over to a coin with no way to sell out and at least recoup your bills.  Work on getting exchanges and volume then you can see more hashpower incoming.
2268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Seeking miners to help secure Betcoin cryptocurrency on: September 26, 2022, 11:35:38 PM
Betcoin is a cryptocurrency with a novel inflation model which is a hybrid between proof-of-work and proof-of-stake.

In Betcoin, approximately 1/3 of the currency is paid out to miners and 2/3 is paid out to coin holders via gamified proof of stake.

All betcoins accrue interest at a rate of 0.01% per 125 minutes and coin holders can realize their gains by staking their betcoins in virtual basketball games between 32 countries.

The Betcoin currency runs on an application called PolyCash and uses a blockchain called Datachain. For more information about the project please visit
https://poly.cash/

We've recently completed some important upgrades to Betcoin like making it easy to install with Docker, and building a peer verification API that confirms if you're in sync with the network every 10 minutes.

Betcoin uses the Scrypt mining algorithm and currently has a very low level of difficulty. Right now you can mine coins quickly even using a normal CPU.  We need to get the difficulty level up in order to secure the chain, as we prepare to begin marketing this cryptocurrency to a wider market.  Therefore I would like to connect with anyone who has Scrypt miners available for use.

Please feel free to PM me or reply in this thread if you have any questions.  If you're ready to set up a node and start mining please see our installation instructions on Github.
https://github.com/PolyCash/polycash

Ypu might want to put this post in the altcoin mining section.  Mining scrypt with cpus?  One L3+ would crush any difficulty that would make sense for cpu miners.  What exchanges is this coin on.  And is there liquidity in those exchanges for betcoin?

....

That makes the three of them inside the same team an injury prone namely Kawhi Leonard, Paul George and John Wall.
One of my favorite memes when I see injury-prone players come together is that Warriors have the splash brothers while this team have the glass brothers.

The coach probably needs to balance these guy's game time to help prevent their body from breaking. This will be tricky to implement early in the regular season but Tyronn Lue can make it work....hopefully.

That's the problem with the Lakers, even if they are all healthy most are going to need some down time so they aren't burnt out by the seasons end.  Happens with all teams where their stars are aged.  If I'm a coach gimme a Memphis or Timberwolves team all day.  Just let em run.

I need three sacks and a turnover from the Cowboys' defense tonight and also keep the Giants away from scoring more than 27pts.

Jones has 1x fumble and an interception in those first two games, has also been sacked 8 times....just 5 points, pretty pleaaase! Let's go Big D!  Cheesy

LOL, Kinda thought this would happen so grabbed Philly's D but had to play a Redskins WR due to Keenan screwing me again. Cheesy

Not looking good for any of us who have Chargers players in their squads, especially the left tackle going down. Herbert is literally a hit or two from not playing at all. I wish he didn't play on Sunday. I mean just look at all the injuries they have:

source: https://twitter.com/danielrpopper/status/1574446756909023236
Quote
So to recap for #Chargers...

• QB: fractured rib cartilage
• All-Pro center: knee injury
• All-Pro LT likely to miss season with torn biceps
• No. 1 receiver has strained hamstring
• Top pass rusher has groin injury
• Top CB not responding as expected from ankle surgery

PS. Russ is perma cooking on my bench, Broncos offense is such a mess right now. I'm either streaming QBs the rest of the season or looking for a trade or something...idk

Giant fan here so I hope none of that happens but I'm also a realist so you shoukd see some of those happen.  Fumble recovery probably over an interception but the Dallas d is good enough to get in on the giants line which struggles at times pass protecting.  It's prime time and at giant stadium though so who knows what happens

The team that I am most excited to see is the Memphis Grizzlies. They are so silent this off-season. I am excited what their young players can bring this new season. They are not at their peaks last season. Now they are more experienced.
That's a strong team too. Their advantage is the chemistry they have with their young players.
My memory is still fresh of when they played against the Timberwolves in the first round of the playoffs. Battle of speed for both young teams is composed of agile players.
One of the best matchups that I have seen, their games are always close with a high score ending like a battle of offense.
Grizzlies will be scarier when they play against a team who relies on a center because you cannot leave Jaren Jackson Jr. outside or he will shoot it with high accuracy.
One of my top five when it comes to team rankings in the West.

Absolutely.  They were aost un beatable at home.  And even when ja was out they beat most of the top teams.  One more year under each of theor belts, they are going to be a scary team.  I got them top 2 in the west if not the top team to come put of the west.  They just have way too many mismatches on the court if brooks and Bane keep upping theor game.

This is not photoshopped! Wow..

I had to choose/stream between Goff and Wentz in another league, guess i dodged a bullet by not going Wentz, dude got sacked 9 times today.

Dolphins remain unbeaten, yet another impressive win! I'm not sure why officials allowed Tua to continue after that play at the end of the first half, aren't there concussion protocols in place? He clearly looked knocked out, if you haven't seen the video:

https://twitter.com/LeBatardShow/status/1574101406210048004

Miami plays on a short week at Cincy on Thursday, interesting to see if he plays...

THAT BUTT PUNT THOUGH!!!  Grin

Yeah that looked classic concussion wobble.  They claimed it was a back issue so 🤷.   I've never seen someone wobble like that unless their brains got scrambled for a second.

Miami and the Eagles are definitely the top 2 surprises to day.  Eagles look real strong and seems as though the debate of jalen hurts good enough will be over.  Can't see them replacing him playing this well.  Dude has over 900 yards passing in his first 3 games and has played flawlessly.

Miami...dang, wasn't expecting that.  I know adding hill was a power move but they look like they will battle Buffalo for first all year long.

....GO GIANTS.

My team is brutal.  Jefferson laid an egg today and I have no faith in ceedee lamb with dak out.  No running back depth and quartback is an issue lol.  Unless something changes I can't see my team competing all that well this year.   Cry
2274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 26, 2022, 12:01:23 AM
Preseason starting sooon.
What I will be looking at are the rookies.

Still rooting for my team, Pistons better do something with the picks you got.

Also that Simmons, Irving and Durant.

A lot of teams did some real powerup huh.

In my opinion, the rosters of the Clippers, Wolves, and Cavs look promising. However, these and other teams can only succeed if their players avoid serious injuries. As for the Nets and their "big" trio, I doubt they can succeed this upcoming season because they will probably have poor chemistry in the locker room. In addition, it isn't clear whether Simmons will be useful for the Nets or whether he still has not solved his mental problems.

I wouldn't put too much on the Nets this season, things have been said already, and I don't think that it can bring back the chemistry, like Nash-KD (asking his coach to get fired), or KD-Simmons, (KD asking in their GC and the Ben leaving the group), Nets-Irving (his prima donna attitude that cost them to almost trade Kyrie this season).

If there is any then it could be worst for the 3 in the Nets, just saying.

Yes, it's much better to see returning players such as Kawhi with the Clippers, or any other power upgrade by teams.

If Durant and Irving avoid injuries and are on the court for most the year, they will end up a top 4 team in the East.  They are just too good to lose a bunch of games.  Might actually look at their over/under on wins and take an over. 🤔
2275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My worst day in gambling on: September 25, 2022, 11:53:47 PM
I believe everybody has their worst day in gambling especially if you started gambling early maybe in your teenage age. My worst day was when I used my school fees to gamble because I thought I will make more money to take care of some of my needs in school. At the beginning I was making profit for 2hrs,I was carried away with the anxiety of winning but later the game turned round and I was losing and losing,I didn't quit hoping I will recover my lost. Before I knew it I was left with 10% of the money I started with, I couldn't just quit the game then because I still feel I will start winning again but luck failed me and I got drained of all I have on me.

Two weeks later it was announced in school that we only had one more week left for closure of school fees payment, I tried borrowing, seek for help everywhere but nobody could help me with the money.  This was how I couldn't pay my fee for that semester and went home with carry overs after the end of the semester as I was not allowed to write some exams.

How about you do you had a worst day on gambling  that you will never forget ?Did it affect an aspect of your life and how ?

Poker tourny over 650+ people and got down head to head.  Had the other person covered in terms of chips.  I had pocket queens and slow rolled the pre flop the other person went all in pre flop I called.  They showed 5/6.  Flop came 5,6, face card.  Flop-river came out dead cards.  Next hand got another bad beat to lose and come in 2nd.  Didn't play poker for awhile after that.

2277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 24, 2022, 06:19:55 PM
Well, sad to say about the GSW, they didn't managed to keep the whole championship roster that they've got before as they need to release a few of them and do some trades.

I don't think that's a problem for Golden State Warriors as their core lineup is still intact.

Yes, I agree that those who departed are key players but not to the extent that releasing them will turn this team into the worst one.
Yes, there's no problem with that. I'm just seeing most of the fans have talked about that before but it's no longer a problem. Everyone has to end their journey with their championship team and has to be traded away if that's the management's decision.

They cannot keep them all anyway even if they wanted too. Their salary is bound to go up and if GSW keeps them, they would be over the cap and will be paying a lot of luxury tax. It would not be a wise move. They have to make a choice who to let go and who to keep.

Maybe the NBA have established another rule regarding fellow staff members/players in the same team because of the past issues, I don't really know if there's a rule like that exist in the league but that seems the case as why would coach Ime Udoka be suspended for the whole season. Surely, the team will be affected and it's too unfortunate because they had a good run last season.

I think it was a franchise rule that he broke. And I think it is normal that they would suspend him since he is married and still had a consensual relationship with female staff. Other organizations would do that as well to avoid scandal.

Yeah there basically was no choice.  If they didn't do something drastic they would be blamed for supporting cheating.  In the world we live in of cancel culture, anything that might be a moral wrong doing the teams are just steering clear of.  They are a for profit club in the end, and don't want to risk losing out on ticket sales, merchandise, TV deals, etc.  Sad but it's more about the bottom line than probably theor stance on what he did.

I can't mine ETH or any other coins right now but I do find a way that might look good but bad to many, I can mine a meme coin called Baby Doge, I can get 609,000,000 of this token per day but that's because the max supply of the project is enormous, what do you think about Baby Doge, some time back there are a lot of noise about this project, any believer here?

Mining coins versus buying coins is majorly different.  As far as .inning this coin just look at the profitability of it.  I guess it will be a little different if you want to hold it but for the most part miners sell off the coins they mine.  So if it's profitable and liquid yeah mine it, if not then don't.  It's pretty simple.

2280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 23, 2022, 10:07:16 PM
Wolves might have improved but they aren't the only team in the league who improved so much in the recent season, and they should acquire more experience to be able to reach at least Conference Finals.

Exactly! they might be improved this upcoming season but they are not alone who's doing the improvements

Maybe we will see them competing in the playoffs, but the west side are full of superb teams, a lot of competitive lineups that
are around, especially the defending champ. They are still in the upper hand with the same core that they've got and those
young rookies who are also adopting the same system, they are keeping on improving while other teams are trying to build
chemistries, GSW are just keep on improving their system.

To many teams upgrade their line up so we cannot say immediately that they became a title contender already since many teams create good movements so that they can compete with existing champion next season. I'm still impressed how GSW do to their team because they value to much their rooster and enhance the chemistry on their team. Maybe other should follow this action since chemistry is vital to team the success.

I actually think the opposite.  I don't know of many teams that upgraded better than Timberwolves, cavs and atlanta.  Denver will get better sheerly because Jamal and mjp will be playing.  Same with the Clippers.  If they can keep kawhi and pg3 on the court they upgraded by just getting healthy.  Same with the Lakers with AD.
