2261  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Peter helping bitcoin pump? on: December 05, 2020, 01:35:37 PM
These old people do not help us, but not really hurt us as much as they want to neither. If it was up to him he would probably send us all to 1 cent per bitcoin, given the right of course, which is the proof that decentralized economy is very important because if bitcoin was something based on USA government for example and USA government exchange hands and some person who hates bitcoins became president and appointed someone who shares his hatred of bitcoin to related place? They would have run it down to hell.

Thankfully these old dinosaurs will be gone eventually and only the people who had bitcoin in all of their lives will stay, everyone who was born after 2009 will be alive by around 2100 anyway, so to say that bitcoin will be a very standard currency by that year wouldn't be shocking. Hold it for your kids and their kids.
2262  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: does it really make sense trading on Bitcoin? on: December 05, 2020, 01:05:02 PM
There tons of people who keep trading on bitcoin and make a lot of profit, which shows you that it does worth money to trade bitcoin. Nobody says it is guaranteed income because we are the pirates of finance world and it will be risky to go against the system, but times like this are the times when we make our riches and that is why we are in it.

Some people get in during bad times and leave before seeing the good times and things are sad for them, they could be upset, I have seen a lot of people say "it went up right after I left, I am unlucky" and so forth but the reality is they are not patient enough, if everyone waits enough they can make a profit trading. Only thing here you should be careful about is time, if you give trading enough time you will make a profit.
2263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: IF ONLY BOUNTIES WILL KEEP THEIR PROMISES. on: December 04, 2020, 04:49:21 PM
When you have a bounty that is decentralized which is becoming something, you are actually doing something that will worth some money, people are missing out on that fact and that is the biggest problem. Think about it this way, if you end up with a system where when you like and follow and retweet someone with a sort of form, and another human checks it, what stops them from ignoring you? They will do it whenever they can.

However when a system checks it and pays you automatically when they see you doing it, that will pay you without a doubt. Worst part is, when these projects ignore paying you, they are not ignoring to pay you usd or btc neither, it is literally their own token they just created which costs nothing to them, no idea why decline paying zero cost stuff to people.
2264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO scams vs DeFi scams on: December 04, 2020, 03:51:28 PM
As long as there are gaps and opportunities for fraudsters of any kind, there will definitely be a lot of fraud,
and there will definitely be new people, they are old bankers whose job is only to cheat and take advantage
of the weaknesses of the existing system. , we are left alone to be careful in every action or even in every infestation
That's the problem with decentralization sometimes because we don't know who is behind the project and we have no way to question them or even ask what they did with the investor funds. That said, investors have gotten more and more smart with time and are not as easy to fool as they might be a few years ago.

DeFI or ICO everything has it's own benefits and problems because there will be scammers in each market but also bright prospects in either field too. I personally look at the team behind the project like Polkadot had Gavin Wood behind the project which gave me confidence and they are looking good now, some even call them ETH killer.
2265  Economy / Speculation / Re: ATH will be in 2021! on: December 04, 2020, 02:56:38 PM
We would love to see bitcoin increase toward ATH but unfortunately it is not going to be like that apparently. So maybe in January of 2021? If we take "this month" as not December but the "next 30 days" we could still reach $20k anyway, it looks like it is definitely something possible and I would definitely see it happening very soon.

All we need right now is another rally around bitcoin (and hopefully a rally for altcoins as well) and the price can definitely increase. What scares me the most is that whenever bitcoin reaches to a full point, altcoins started to increase like crazy because people realize they can't make too much profit from bitcoin and move to altcoins, that already happened which could mean that maybe the increase has slowed down or maybe even stopped? I hope not.
2266  Economy / Speculation / Re: Give me your predictions for the next long term peak, and why. on: December 04, 2020, 01:28:47 PM
My prediction for the next 12 months would be along the lines of breaking over ATH again, going nearly to 25-30 range and afterwards drop significantly, like drop to 15-16 levels but people will realize that, this "fall" will be higher than 50% of our 2 months ago, they will say "hey we went down 50% but we are still bigger than almost all the time we have been so far, which means our bottom is very high now" and they will have trust on bitcoin and increase again and end up somewhere around 40k before 2021 ends. That seems to be a logical approach to what could happen, I can't say that I guarantee it because it is not going to be something that is guaranteed but I feel like it is certainly possible.
2267  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price 17000$ today on: December 04, 2020, 09:42:31 AM
It is cool that we are already taking about bigger and higher prices but what is marvelous is that 17k seems like a bad price right now. Be honest with yourself, if the price became 17k today, wouldn't the marketing and including you and me think that of a big crash coming? I mean 17k is very low compared to where we are, going under it would be very dangerous as well and would have broken many support lines as well.

So, when this topic was created 17k was a good news, but today 17k is a bad news. This is the type of hype we need, this is the type of increase in price we love to see, when something is awesome one day but the other day we are so high that previous price seems to be something bad.
2268  Economy / Gambling / Re: Chips.gg |🎰 New Slots Weekly | Dice weekend event! on: December 04, 2020, 09:10:08 AM
~ When I play slots, I usually choose 50-50 probability and I run it for hours until I achieve my current goal or if it reached my current limit. I monitoring it for me to see if I'm winning or I'm losing; there are times that I have consecutive winnings but suddenly market will regain it because of my wrong decisions.

Slots are also base on pure luck because you do not know what bonus and combination that you may get, you are lucky if you get 100x or even higher multiplier in slots. I play it but I do not spend a lot of time because I got bored sometimes if I just playing slots for hours.

What do you mean by choosing "50-50 probability"? Is something like this possible with slots?

I think people find playing slots entertaining exactly because it's impossible to affect the probability, and hence the potential multiplier by your settings. Basically, you never know what to expect, and that's a thrilling experience.

There is no 50-50 probability in slots IMO, even it does not exist in dice game due to the house edge.
How can it be 50-50 om slots while we can set the payout of every bet as it is so various starting from 0.00x up to thousandsX?
I'm curious as well about which slot has 50-50 probability, I've been playing slot for few years but never know any slot with this probability.
I don't know any 50-50 in slots, especially considering there are multiple results instead of one which means it can't be 50-50 or it can't be 20-80 or 80-20 or whatever, there can't be one result so we can't calculate the odds like that. What we have is, you play 100 dollars let's say and in return you may get 47 dollars, 88 dollars, 100 dollars back, 170 dollars, 400 dollars, 900 dollars or 5000 dollars as jackpot.

Now these numbers are fully made up, I just want to make sure to tell you that results are like this, depending on the outcome of the roll you have, it could be any of them or it could be zero. It means there can't be 50-50 because there are many many different results in slot gaming which makes it most fun, you could get anything at all depending on your luck.
2269  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: December 04, 2020, 08:22:45 AM
In parimutuel betting, it wouldn't be fair to the other bettors that placed their bets based on what was in the prize pool at the time to remove anything from that prize pool. If you bet early to get a higher time weight multiplier then you also take a greater risk of circumstances changing before the event happens. The same thing could happen to another driver if they have a bad crash in practice and can't participate on race day.
In the event of an unlisted replacement driver winning the race then all bets will be refunded.
I understand that parimutual betting has that type of problem, but it is also an advantage as much as a disadvantage as well. You end up wagering so early that you could make soooo much more money than anyone else if you bet early, there are bets like elections for example where you can gamble half a year before the election, that type of multiplier should not be seen lightly because you could end up with getting 3+ odds for something that ends up at 1.4 in the end, which is a HUGE boost and you can't find it anywhere else in the world.

This is the advantage part of things, the disadvantage is seen here, Hamilton got sick and you basically are out of the race with him, and can't win. So, you take that huge chance of winning big with the chance of bad things together when you wager early.
2270  Economy / Speculation / Re: TO THE MOON! on: December 03, 2020, 09:38:35 AM
I would say we will definitely see something major in the end but how long will it take is still unknown. We have done great so far, but even the biggest bull runs have an end, we can't just go to one trillion dollars per bitcoin right? We know that we can't. So, that means there is a price where we will stop, obviously I didn't want to give a lower number because everyone has their own belief, some think 20k, some say 50k, some say 100k, and some say a million.

I have always believed that whatever makes crypto market around 5-10 trillion dollars is our natural limit, that is around a big stock market combined level and I would say it is highly unlikely that we will go anywhere away from that, it would be too expensive if we managed to break over stock markets.
2271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If Facebook launches LIBRA then nobody will invest in it on: December 03, 2020, 08:30:07 AM
You’re not serious for real. Did Facebook say they were looking for investment when they announced Libra or did they ever say that Libra is an asset that people should be investing in?

You should try to understand more on what the Libra project was all about before you start saying this. Maybe they might need investors in some ways, but the main purpose of creating the Libra coin is so that it can be worldwide currency; Facebook had plans to create a currency that will be a stablecoin and used by people all over the world or transaction, a limitless form of money. But the government didn’t agree.
2272  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what successfull trading tips have worked with you so far ? on: December 03, 2020, 08:00:04 AM
Success, winnings, being profitable, isn't truly happening all the time no matter how skilled and knowledgeable you are. But I was able to manage to control myself and keep thinking it can be done soon and that struggles will be paid off.
That is important because at times in trading we feel like we are not good enough and one needs to self motivate themselves by understanding that currently a bad phase is going on and if we can only pass it with minimal loss, that is a win itself.

one trading tip I could give is that "have faith and keep believing ourselves". No one helps us but just ourselves and that we need to face all challenges. If we have that vision, success will not be going far from us/you.
But, make sure you don't apply the same logic when trading because at times you have to sell coins at lower profit and even small loss and you cannot be confident with a bad coin in portfolio.

The best tip or advice that I got was from my close friend who told me, not to invest too much and I actually was hyped up and planned to take loans and start trading with it, but he denied my loan request and actually gave me a good advice to just trade with my own money and it proved vital because at times I was down and thankfully did not have to pay any loans on top of it.
2273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: US people are buying LTC while the other world is avoiding it on: December 03, 2020, 06:31:36 AM
We need to find a way to clear bitcointalk from these topics. I understand that we are in a free speech world and I understand that as long as there is nothing illegal with the topic this is "helping" bitcointalk to stay active or whatever.

But, when you have 3-4 accounts that keep starting topics just for the sake of starting topics and usually do not even follow up, just start the topic and end up running away afterwards to start another topic and so forth, this causes trouble. I would rather have a slower and less topic bitcointalk with high quality over having more topics and move active bitcointalk with very low quality like this one.

If we do not do anything about this, there is no end to what could happen, we could have people spamming here constantly.
2274  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin retirement account on: December 02, 2020, 06:19:14 PM
On contrary, bitcoin could be considered a retirement account more than anything else. If you want to trade bitcoin daily, with this huge volatile market you are going to make some money but lose some money as well, it will not be something profitable if you keep doing it badly, it would actually hurt you a lot, of course this all depends on how great you are when trading, if you are a great trader you could make a profit as well but that is a low chance.

However when we are talking about retirement, we are talking about something you could do without a worry and that is why I really think that it is much better to invest it long term. If you invest right now and have a plan to cash out 20 years later, the volatility it has today doesn't change anything for you, because you are going to cash out 20 years later so movements of today are irrelevant.
2275  Economy / Economics / Re: 2021 not Looking good on: December 01, 2020, 01:38:32 PM
im not predicting im telling things from my logical point of view.
the logically how i see what could be the case ,just logical conlclusion nothing else:)
That's right because the foreseeable is indeed looking dangerous and no one predicted the corona virus because it was something new for everyone but we all predicted the economies are going to get shattered and they did so you might have a bitter but true prediction.

At this pandemic situation, economic condition is not well for most of the counties but in my opinion, 2021 will be a good year to develop economic condition. Crypto market will be growing so fast at the same time.
Crypto markets have done well even now also even in the worst possible times but the economies might take years to recover and blatantly speaking some countries might never recover from what they have lost already. Let us hope for the best but things don't look good.
2276  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🏆⚽ Adkinsbet.com | Sports | In-Play | ESports | Racebook | Virtual Sports | ⚽🏆 on: December 01, 2020, 10:30:11 AM
^I do not believe that USDT is much needed to keep continue gambling knowing the usd value of your coins, but I also do not see the downside of it neither. If you are gambling with huge amounts in a crypto casino, you should be gambling with crypto in mind and not USD because at the end of the day you have picked a casino that is crypto based and not dollar based so why focus on the dollar value.

However just because there are people like me who would like to gamble with crypto and prefer crypto casinos for that reason, doesn't mean that we should not focus on the places that accepts USDT neither, we could have both. If it was "either pick btc or usdt, the one you picked will stay the other will go" that would be bad but since it is both available there is nothing wrong with it.
2277  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: December 01, 2020, 04:49:06 AM
It's a user name or most likely a nickname I don't think putting your first and last name on user name is really good idea I think using a fake name or identity is much better.
To have some anonymity and privacy even in the casinos on where you play at I don't think even if they ask for KYC it's still better not to use real names.
So far I haven't encountered one yet on my whole time playing online gambling games or maybe I'm not just aware of it.
I didn't see any names that are from bitcointalk that I know of, but they could be using a different id there.

At the end of the day roobet is continue to give a lot of their earnings back and that is how they changed the whole idea of them as well.

I remember back when they first started, they were not really 100% loved by everyone and not everyone rushed here, their early start days weren't huge, and on top of that they were 1% house edge and changed it to 5% so all of a sudden this place was getting negative publicity more than anything and there were a lot of fires to put out for them.

What did they do? They started to give away soooo much money thanks to that 5% that people are not talking about anything bad, they are all taking about the money they give back. That is how you do marketing perfectly.
2278  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2017 - 2020. Better price not yet to come. Be careful on: December 01, 2020, 04:19:01 AM
Accumulation time can be longer or shorter that we will never know ahead of time.
Accumulation period is always a period I am afraid of, many rich people accumulate bitcoin (or any investment product) during the same period but the poor people have very little amount of money they can risk, which means we do not accumulate not only because we are afraid, but we are also poor so we do not accumulate, we just invest with small amounts.

Whales however just wait and live for these moments, they keep on investing like crazy during the downfall so they could take advantage of the increase, if the price goes down even more like we fear, they will just continue to buy because they have so much money, same thing would hurt us a ton. This is why I think accumulation period is something for the rich people and not for the people who can't afford thousands of entry each time.
2279  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: who actually moves the price of bitcoin? on: November 30, 2020, 04:02:25 PM
there are traders who have buy and sell orders on multiple exchanges so if the liquidity is disturbed they take advantage of that but it also stabilizes the market.

For example, if Binance has $20k for BTC and other exchange has $19.8k then there would be traders taking advantage by buying at 19.8k until the 20k is reached so they take advantage and the market stabilizes.
I understand that there are big players in the market but we should remember that many big players also uses OTC as well. Do you really think you could just put 500 million dollars into binance and buy bitcoin? That is nearly impossible, I mean technically speaking it would be possible but you would be losing tens of millions of dollars along the way because you would destroy the market or would have to spend months buying it.

But, when you arrange something WTIH binance itself, they make a ton of money from trading fee's but can't sell it to market right back that easily, so grayscale buys directly from binance and does an OTC deal which helps them. Names are examples but it really does happen like that so the whales do not change the price that much the way you think.
2280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is the prospect of BAT in 2020? on: November 30, 2020, 02:18:19 PM
The hype for it was once upon a time great thing and it is not anymore. Look at what happened to it in the last 3 months, while almost all coins gained a lot of value, BAT went down, it was over 0.35 and right now it is at around 0.22 and this happened during one of the biggest bull runs in crypto world since 2017 peak period as well. If a coin drops this much during the peak times of past 3 years, that has to say something about the project itself.

I am not saying it is dead or gone, it could still resurrect to become bigger and better in the future, but it is definitely not a prime investment candidate as well. Just because it "could" recover doesn't mean that you should invest to it, it just means there are better investment chances out there that you could pick over BAT.
