You can be hacked

We represent a hacker group that focuses on hacking of crypto-currency wallets and exchanges. We know that you keep your coins on these exchanges.
We got the database of users and passwords of the largest exchanges in our hands, but to get into the account we need to bypass two factor verification, collect private keys from your PCs, brute force mnemonic words. That will cost us some time.
We give you the opportunity to exclude you from the base by reward us and we will remove you and we will not use your data.

The amount we require is 0.01BTC

Bitcoin Wallet to pay: 1492bBQhiSRgS7k25mUsaedTSjwHkaWQRh

Believe me, it\'s better to pay us than are afraid that at any moment you can lose all of your funds.

After payment send us a letter on (I REMOVED THE EMAIL) and we will exclude you from the database.

IS this a Form of blackmail ? ....I don't keep anything on the exchanges all my wallets are off line and paper ....what A supersize they will get ...an I'm poor ...

You really don't need any special knowledge tonkniw this is not even a blackmail but a cheap one and a general message sent randomly to people. Its the same format you see people send to your mail address claiming your bank details has been block but unfortunately for them, you don't even have a bank account in the bank they are claiming.

Aside the above, I have not seen a situation where hackers will notify you of their intended heist, rather they would finish then ask for ransom.
2262  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: auctioning off mid size company and related sites on: December 06, 2017, 02:21:03 AM
I am interested in testing the waters and selling my company for Bit, Eth or ltc.  Business should sell for $750,000-1 million so need a reputable site that can handle a larger deal.  Any suggestions?    thank you

Selling a company is beyond placing a notice on a public forum like this and placing a price tag on because there several things to actually be settled in selling a business. Its not a phone, computer or car that you can just sell. Some of the things to put in place would be

1. How did you arrive at the value you placed on it? Was it done by yourself or a reputable individual or valuer?

2. What are the books that you have kept to know the assets and liabilities of the business? Coming from the accounting end

3. Do you even have the legal ownership of the company? i.e do you even registered it?

4. Is the company purely offline with online presence or just online?

Its when all these are settled you can start discussing the fees, the preferred currency of transaction and most times to do that, there would be need for physical presence in other to do some verifications.
2263  Economy / Gambling / Re: How many of these sites are legal? on: December 05, 2017, 08:19:57 PM
Big sites would surely have the legal backing because they have the capital to pursue such and that is why they have stayed for in the market. Not all of the sites are legal in my opinion because even the legality of online gambling is still dicey in some jurisdiction as several sites are equally run on a small scale which makes them to get the license so what they do is to copy the symbol and out it on their site.

Because people don't bother with questions, and even the license they quote, you can hardly get enough information about it on the internet, and because they pay out winnings immediately then they are legal. If you looking for legal gambling sites, just stick to the big ones that have stand the test of time.
2264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Many national central banks plan to launch digital currency. What do you think? on: December 05, 2017, 04:46:28 PM
In some countries the central bank launched a digital currency independent in consideration, such as the recent news that the European Central Bank in the euro currency ECB-Coin, consider pushing digital encryption currency bank of Canada on self advantages and disadvantages, Russia must figure out the ruble, even bitcoin is not friendly to China, in consideration of the possibility of independent digital currency, Do you think these digital currencies are similar to bitcoins?

Of course countries are expected to take line of action because as civilization is advancing so also are countries moving and for those who are very active about the future, they are taking the lead. For me, what they are doing is trying to fit their own objective into the objective of bitcoin and see where they align. One of those places is in the area of cashless economy which is one thing banks all over the world have been trying to push to their citizens. If teeming youth population are now going the way of crypto currency which is purely electronic, then its only fair to key into such objective.

I can say they are similar to bitcoin because they are both digital but not the same because one unique advantage bitcoin would have over others would be the anonymity and decentralization which the ones backed by government banks will never have.
2265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Forks really good for BTC ? on: December 05, 2017, 12:58:55 PM
Don't think to much for your own.
Let's make a discussion out of the box.

When there is a new fork people are so exiting because in this way they can split their BTC with a new Crypto.
Very lucky for you buddy!

BUT, is it really worth for the community? Or is it another way to speculate and try to gain extra money ?

I mean Bitcoin ha seriously issue and everyone know about it. You guess it: scalability, fees to hight, ect

Could the new forks really solve the issue?
Because if everyone see them as free-money it's definitely not worth it and BTC remain with its problems

What do you think ?

The people who are promoting the forks will give enough reasons to support their position on the issue of solving problems, its not anywhere close because a lot of them claim to solve one problem or the other where the 4 coming out before January, are still looking to solve more problems and many more to come after that. I had mentioned that if everything is about problem I wonder how bitcoin had survived up to this moment that the problem didn't not even kill it from within.

Aside from the extra bucks its going to create to the pocket of people who had own some before the fork, I see no additional benefit they are bringing to the table. Every speculative news we have heard about adoption or ban of crypto currency, has always been about bitcoin and not the other versions. Which problem do they then to solve if not create more confusion for the community.
2266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You want to be a millionaire? if you own 0.01 btc you already are on: December 05, 2017, 12:04:07 PM
The title says it all get 0.01 btc and you are on ur way to becoming a millionaire, you already are one if you do not know the true value of bitcoins, cough cough Satoshis.  Forget about owning a full bitcoin, you want to earn satoshis, which we call the units of 0 and 1 or Mbits milibitcoins.  Soon a few years from now 1 satoshi will be the equivalent of 1 USD or Euro if money is still around. You know yes most of you missed the billion dollar train but still you have time to have a million dollars worth of satoshis.  so if you do the math owning 0.10,000,000 = 10 million USD  so if you own 0.01 that makes it 1 million dollars.

You are wondering why I am saying bitcoin is worth 100 million dollars right?  We have a long way to go.  Cough cough, Many factors that contribute the value of 1 bitcoin being worth 100 million dollars.  Well Bitcoin is not just a local or gov owned store of value, its competing with Fiat currency all over the world, from USD, to the YEN.  There are many factors I can shoot out but one major one is that Bitcoin is becoming mainstreamed and the fact there is probably going to be 16 million bitcoins in circulation, why I said 16 mil?  because they are probably around 5 million bitcoins lost.  If you want to add to this topic any more factors that reason why you are already sitting on a million dollars, please be free to do so.

Edit: It seems a few of you are agreeing and few are not.  I remember a time the few of you said the same thing about 10,000 USD a bitcoin.  I remember when they said that about 1,000 USD.  Guess what they are all kicking their arses now.

Here is another factor to add that Bitcoin a World Wide curreny that is competing with fiat.

https://www.google.ro/search?q=how+many+people+in+the+world&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-b-ab&gws_rd=cr&dcr=0&ei=b0gmWuzOGOHWjwTI9bz4BQ

Its only nice to thank you for this expository even though its based on speculation, that does not still remove the possibility of it happening and its likely for it to be sooner that what you think. This is something that people need to read and in spite of the amount of information all over the web, we still have to battle with threads asking if it was too late to enter into bitcoin or whether it worth it to invest in bitcoin?

Yes, it would happen but it would take a long time.  Just like you if I will have that amount and by that price I will become millionaire then I would also travel the world.  I would buy things that I cannot buy and live a comfortable life together with my family.  I will continue to earn more bitcoin and I will also help other people to have an extra income.  Helping other people will surely make at least their lives easy.

It might even come earlier for different people based on their country's currency while Op might have the intention of being a millionaire via the USD which might take a longer time, people in other places might reach there earlier while people in Europe with currencies denominated in EURO and GBP will have to wait a little longer.
2267  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can you refer any campaign that is accessible for us newbies? on: December 05, 2017, 06:31:29 AM
Can you refer any campaign that is accessible for us newbies? I really am having a hard time finding one, so if you can help us we will be so grateful hope we'll succeeded together. Thank you

Not to sound to unconcerned, but you shouldn't be bothered about that for now, because by default over here, you just don't want to trust a newbie not because of you though but for the individuals who have tainted that rank with their activities maybe through spamming links or anything against the rule of the forum but that's what you have to live with for now.

Your primary concern should be blending in with the community, understand rules especially the unwritten ones because without that, even if you get a campaign as a newbie you may flout some of the rules and ignorance is not an excuse. With time, you can then visit the service section to see if anyone is open for you the alt section (bounties) could also help out.
2268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sustainability of BTC on: December 05, 2017, 06:17:28 AM
The sustainability of bitcoin to me is nonnegotiable. According to what I have read its going to take nothing less than 100 years from now or the last bitcoin to be mined which then suggests that until after that, we can then begin to have the discussion surrounding sustainability which several of us might not even be alive to see that happening.

On the issue of power which is something of concern, 100 years is enough to have land breaking technological advancement that could either make power much more cheaper or new ways to mine bitcoin with less power. Put all this together, point to the fact that the future is very much secure.
2269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin First Billionaire: Winklevoss Twins on: December 04, 2017, 09:28:14 PM
https://www.dmarge.com/2017/12/winklevoss-twins-bitcoin-billionaires.html

Who hold more Bitcoin, the Winklevoss twins or someone else?

News media around the world is reporting that the Winklevoss twins are the world first bitcoin billionaires, stating they own 100,000 bitcoins. Congratulations to them.

Does anyone know who the other bitcoin whales are?

Is it not the same guys that claim that they created bitcoin but they were not taken seriously by the community. If they the first billionaires, then good for them but if by multiplying the amount of the alleged coins they own with the value today and then say they worth a billion dollars, then that would be wrong because there is no evidence to proof that they actually have that amount, there is also no way to  determine if they have not sold a large chunk of the bitcoin they have, and they would only worth that amount, if they sell today which is obviously what they are not doing. In short, they are unrealized billionaires and can turn to millionaires before the end of the week.
2270  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Will Coinbase be the biggest bank in 2020? on: December 04, 2017, 07:01:19 PM
Given that all the major banks are so behind in the crypto-revolution do you think Coinbase will be the biggest bank in 2020?

https://hackernoon.com/will-coinbase-be-the-biggest-bank-in-the-world-5d147c9e6caa

I don't see this happening not because I am limiting the amount of growth Coinbase could witness, but because of several factors which include:

1. Coinbase with its base in the US will have to compete with other big banks that have been in existence for centuries, they hold major positions in government, they donate to political parties, they have the capacity to lobby laws. The moment their positions is being threatened, then you see the big hand of the law coming.

2. I dont see myself using Coinbase not now, not in the future and a lot of other crypto users not in the United States because of the stiff KYC policies that they have in place.

3. The issue of banks originally negates one of the founding principles of bitcoin. Keep your fund yourself is the rule and who says Coinbase who will continue to a target for hackers. Hopefully it will remain stronger.
2271  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the market looking all red today? is correction near or what? on: December 04, 2017, 04:52:56 PM
From what you have there, there is nothing abnormal from what I can see because 3 weeks ago, price was not even close to what we have now and so if the price should even fall further, its still an appreciation. The correction to me, makes the market stronger in the long run because if the price just continued to rise without taking some hit or retreat, then there is a problem which every one should start getting scared of, it does not just happen that way. Not in the past, not now, never in the future. So, rather than creating panic all over, let all just admit that its one of those things that is expected to happen to price in other to reach a greater height.

After the recent bitcoin boom for recent weeks the market looking very weak after all.
As of today the market is looking all red, what is really happening is the correction near or what?

2272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook & Google creating its own Cryptocurrency! on: December 04, 2017, 10:51:51 AM
The thought of Facebook and Google having their own crypto-currency does not worth losing sleep over even for other countries coming on board. We have seen scenarios where countries have banned Facebook from operating within their territory which we can then say their crypto currency can then be easily banned in their country. Aside that, there is a report which Facebook admitted to have been listening to users via the speakers of their phones in other to tailor their advertisement needs that is a threat to independence, anonymity and freedom which bitcoin rest upon.

For me, I don't see anybody who understand the ultimate basis of bitcoin to support such projects both from Google and Facebook they should better face the business they are known for rather than venturing in places that does not concerns them.
2273  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have You Been Scammed? on: December 04, 2017, 05:38:13 AM
I just came over from the 'Investor Games' subforum (hope I got that right). A guy there said he came across a site asking to double his bitcoin, he paid in $20 and got $40 the following day or so. He then went for a higher plan of $300 hoping to cash out $600 but they asked him to pay in another $300 before cashing out. He got confused and was asking for advice.

I think I've been there before. Before I became a forum member. I once came across one of those scam sites promising to generate bitcoins. Thought it was real, but when they asked me to pay some transaction fee, I was stuck. I had no money to pay the fee. With the benefit of hindsight, I know I'd have sent them the 'transaction fee' had I had the coins to send them.

Now, what have been your experience with internet scams?
How do we help people not to get scammed?

This should be in the reputation section of the forum. If you see people commenting on threads that have to do with cloud mining, investment platforms that promises only ridiculous income and they do that with so much vigour, its because they have been bitten one way or the other.

I also had my own share of being a victim at the point I don't know what ponzi scheme is all about. I just stumble on a site with this nice graphics and interface with mouth watering returns, I checked people giving positive reviews on Facebook, I just join in thinking in 5 days I would be a richer person, but alas, I was poorer never again would I be part of something like that.
2274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it advisable for me to Hold or Sell ? on: December 03, 2017, 08:00:52 PM
Hello , I have about 3 months only working with bitcoin and i've only gathered some of it from freelance work and signature campaigne.
It's like 100$ every month or more . Is it beneficial for me to sell those amounts and just live with them. or should i hold although they are small amounts.
I've been told that small amounts like that won't make any diffrence if u held them,so i might just as well sell.
Is anyone in the same situation as me ? and what are you planning to do with you satoshi.

Those small amount that seems not to make any difference could turn out to matter in few years to come. If you have other means of living, then I would suggest you keep and gradually it becomes something that could get you financial stability fast.

Sometimes not too long ago, when people are being paid .1btc to wear a signature for a week and it could even been lower than $100 you are making reference to today but that same amount someone could have just amounted to waste of time is over $1000 today. So, keep because of tomorrow.
2275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My experience with btc so far. on: December 02, 2017, 09:35:47 PM
I wanted to see what all this BTC was about from watching videos I was told the transactions were instant and that this would be the currency of the future... well I am kind of disappointed come to find out that it is in fact not instant... I have been waiting over 4 hours for this transaction to confirm to play some poker and by that time I can't even register to the tournament I wanted anymore because the priced dropped and the tournament is over.

Puuuurfect...

And not only that but the fees you need to pay just to send a little amount makes it really impractical and I doubt this will be considered a currency anytime soon unless something changes.

Welcome to the club in that the reality is always different from what its painted to be. But in all fairness, you weren't here during the good old days when the confirmation is almost instant but now with so much traffic on the network, its making it seems impossible. For your quest to use it, its obvious the game would be over but you can leave it there on the wallet if its not much so that you won't be in the same dilemma in case you want to bet on another game. I guess that's what we have yo live with until there is a solution to what is being faced currently.
2276  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin drop about 20% after Lloyd Blankfein comments. on: December 02, 2017, 07:45:10 PM
CEO of the USA Investment bank, Lloyd Blankfein said "something that move 20 overnight do not feel like a currency. It is vehicles to perpetrate fraud" after this comment on Thursday bitcoin lose over 20% and I was panic to sell off my holding. But thank God the bitcoin has started recovering as we can see that it is currently above $9,700. I think this is another caculated attacked on bitcoin image in other to create FUD.

I didn't even get to read his comment to be able to know that was what might have led to the fall of bitcoin price. I am surprised to have seen someone like you who is not a newbie reacted to news and by that wanted an easy way out by selling off your bitcoin. News like this should not be surprising as several have happened in the past  and bitcoin back stronger this is even not an exception.

I hope you didn't empty the vault as a result this because to get back in would mean you have to go source for  additional funds in other to measure up with the price.
2277  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PhD on a topic in blockchain on: December 02, 2017, 04:50:48 PM
I'm a Post Graduate Computer Engineering Student in India. I'm learning things about blockchain, and wish to do PhD in a topic involving Blockchain. Although, given the rate at which things are evolving, I'm not able to choose the topic in this fast changing technology. Do you have any suggestions?

If I were to be someone who is a computer scientist or technology savvy, I would have love to know more about the blockchain even up to PhD level and that is the point where the real change can happen in my opinion beyond the buying and selling, increase in price, pump and dump, ban and unban happening around this crypto world.

I would suggest looking at how the blockchain technology could be deployed in the area of free and fair elections. All over the world where democracy is being practiced, there are issues concerning electoral malpractices which I believe the blockchain can do something about but how to go about it is what I don't know.
2278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin vs Bitcoin Cash battle. on: December 02, 2017, 03:09:16 PM
According to the below report the people running Bitcoin Cash are “plotting the death of Bitcoin” by launching a coordinated attack on the Bitcoin network. You will be amazed of what you will find in the background profile of the main figures behind Bitcoin Cash.

https://medium.com/@MiguelCuneta_21450/the-big-bitcoin-battle-what-i-found-out-about-bitcoin-vs-bcash-d9ebca8d370e

A lot of this people who are purportedly launching this attacks are mainly ruled by greed and nothing else. There is one name that has been common in all the various forms of bitcoin that have happened in the past and he is still featuring till this moment but the earlier they understand that all this are just ephemeral the better. For all others supporting the attacks they also forgot when one attack fails, this people have the resources to move on to another attack and they won't stop which further affirms that they are ruled by their greed.

I hope that majority will see in between and take this as a way to make bitcoin stronger because since the battle from external forces are beginning to make less impact, they are trying to fight from within and this is one of them.
2279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin holder's dilemma on: December 02, 2017, 02:33:47 PM
Hey guys, I've decided to ask you - what whould you do in this problemmatic situation?

Suppose you have some bitcoins (let's say 22) and you bought them / got them a few years ago very cheap, and now you see it's price and.... what to do?!! Will you take the profit and go away, or sit and hold further? Suppose you're not going to buy more. But when to sell?

I personally don't see any dilemma at this moment and this issue is not only to someone who bought very cheap to have such amount but even someone who joined in last month is faced with such decision making decision. As humans ruled by greed, you will always want more and if you allow that should take over you, you won't even get to enjoy the good life you envisaged for entering into crytpo currency in the first place because price will keep increasing and you will want to wait the more.

For me, the you don't need the whole 22btc if cashed out at once rather cash out as the needs arises with that you meet your daily needs conveniently and still take part of the future increase that might happen to price. Its as simple as that.
2280  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] CCTalk.io - The Most Advanced Forum | The Best Alternative to Bitcointalk on: December 02, 2017, 01:37:27 PM
A nice platform you have and also there articulating the reason why your platform is the best but my concern is attacking bitcointalk in whose you are even doing some form of announcement to reach a wider user base and even went as far as quoting some comments. I am sure by the time your forum is so big you will find out there is no other option than yo ban some people from the forum who breaks the rule. You would have done a better job by concentrating on your strength rather bringing other people weaknesses to the forefront.

That being said, all I can say is wishing the best to you and not be discouraged at the beginning with time, things will start to fall in place.
