1301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook unbans crypto ads? Are they planning to launch their own crypto? on: July 15, 2018, 10:38:50 PM
I don't see Facebook launching its own currency for whatever reason. One of the ways projects launches their own crypto currency is mostly to raise funds to finance their projects just like a coming coming to the stock market to raise fund and issue shares to subscribers. In the case if Facebook they are pretty doing well with Mark ranking top among billionaires in the world so the option of coming to raise fund is really out of the equation.

Another reason is to encourage decentralisation and anonymity which Facebook by default does not have. One first place to check on anybody is the Facebook after that fails, you start to consider other options so it surely do fail on that end. I am much open to them having a form coin that can only be used on Facebook maybe for games or ads other than that, nothing else.
1302  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: KYC and AML Compliance can help cryptocurrencies to earn legitimacy on: July 15, 2018, 07:10:28 PM
The use of crypto is limited to just people who are here to make quick cash. I think KYC and AML compliances by Fincen will give it more legitimacy and general people will move towards it and would use this as a payment method. Read more: https://shuftipro.com/blogs/kyc-aml-compliance-can-help-cryptocurrencies-earn-legitimacy/
What you suggest?

The only way the whole of KYC is going to be used to earn legitimacy is when its being coordinated by the legalised government regulatory agency responsible for that until that happened, its just some random people who felt they needed to justify their  continued stay in business and need to impress those who will guarantee that existence and that is why even platforms asking for KYCs didn't ask for uniform information despite the fact that they might be operating within the same jurisdiction and serving clients from the same jurisdiction.
1303  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ChangeNow.io - Scam. Illegally holding of 100 BCH (11 bitcoins). on: July 13, 2018, 09:31:22 PM
Reading through what you posted, I think the best way to go about it is to go on the diplomatics approach because at this time, they are in the position of strength which gave them the higher bargaining power and they are using it. That being said, I think 11 bitcoin equivalent at this time is a bit on the high side to attract unnecessary attention and that is where you have mortgage you freedom. With the number of years in the industry, you should be aware that times have changed and all this exchange platforms cannot be accused of flouting the rules because there is no regulatory body to call them to order by all means.

Like I was saying, go diplomatic, when they said they are showing it to the authority, you need not panic, because since you are sure its some guys behind the computer, they would be exposing themselves as much as they would be exposing you so I don't think taking that route would even be the best option for them too.
1304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC parabolic bull run will not happen everytime on: July 13, 2018, 08:08:40 PM
While most of the people are awaiting the massive bull run like in 2017 winter again, it will not be a case again.  While I wish BTC to go into new ATH before the end of this year, I think that reaching 13K to 14K gradually testing every pivotal point before the end of this year is more realistic and more healthy for the market too.

I am bullish in Bitcoin doesn't mean I am expecting parabolic run every time bulls ticks on.  The 20K level that bitcoin reached last year was a enormous craze and mostly FOMO and/or may be manipulation which will not happen again and again.  So, the people who bought at 20K will have to wait for few more years for that massive bull run to return, that's why they always says "patience is key".

During the all time high that was witnessed last year which has now become the benchmark to decide whether things are going fine or not, I was among the people who despite being happy about the current happenings was also skeptical about how the increase was just happening without any convincing reason as to why such was we were seeing such increase.

Not to sound pessimistic, I have predicted several days ago that I am not seeing the price touching the all time high anytime soon unless something drastic happen in terms of adoption and awareness or else, I am seeing the year ending on the note $14,000- $16000 if not lower.
1305  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin Will Hit New Highs - ETF Date August 10th on: July 13, 2018, 03:59:59 PM
We have Bitcoin testing its bottom for the third time, Coinbase adding Custody, South Korea flipping for the 10th time allowing and regulating cryptocurrencies, and the $4 billion dollar EOS raise finally finishing its Ethereum dump on the marketplace. Bitcoin’s next run will go further and happen quicker than people realize.

In the news, we have Europe’s largest trader of exchange-traded funds is moving into crypto and the CBOE applying for a Bitcoin ETF again. August 10th is the date to watch for the approval or disapproval of the ETF. Even if it gets rejected like the other times, it will provide clarity as to what is needed to approve one.

We discuss the latest news and give our insights as a mix of traders from firms such as JP Morgan. Give the latest episode a listen!

I don't see any reason why anyone should keep his hopes high because of this impending news coming in August. It has happened before and it all came with disappointment. The only question we should be asking is that what has changed from the last time that the proposal was rejected to this time for the outcome of the decision to be different. Since the last time till now, I have not read of any law signed to influence this kind of decision, I have also read of any huge company operating in the financial market coming up with huge amount of money or declaring maximum support for bitcoin which could also play an important factor here and most importantly, I have not read about the change in the board or committee members to have warranted a new hope that something different has is going to happen. With the absence of all the listed, I think its better for people to wait to see the outcome before making investment decisions.
1306  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do we need institutional investors for private sale? on: July 13, 2018, 01:55:43 PM
should we need institutional investors for private sale?

will you have more confidence for other projects who invested by private institutional investors?

Maybe most people will say YES, but it's against the spirit of blockchain Sad

When you mean the spirit of blockchain I want to believe you are referring to the decentralization and as it relates to project, I would say its really not bad as it seems because if managed very well, it can be combined with crowdsale in other to dilute ownership in that way, the 'spirit' of blockchain can still be protected. To set up a project involves a lot of funds just for mobilizing, designing website, drafting legal documents, cost of internet, attending events, press conference and all of those even to the point of forming a team. It might be too much for individual or group of individual to afford depending on their finances couple with the downward trend in investments in to pre-ICO activities.

With all of this put together, if an institutional investor could come up with the seed money to make the journey seamless and stress-free, I don't think there is anything wrong in going that route to ensure the set objective is met.
1307  Other / Off-topic / Re: Basics for starting to be a campaign manager on: July 13, 2018, 12:51:31 PM
Hi!I am seeking for your help to teach me how to start my campaign management service. I am new to this field so I hope you can help me guys. Thanks

Being a campaign manager to be reckon with on the forum today is as serious as being trusted to serve as an escrow service provider and the reason is because of the failure of several campaign managers especially in the Bounty section of the forum who have made the issue of spammers a call for concern. That being said, if you are feel that is what you want to contribute to the forum but you need to meet some basic things in my own opinion to have a good head start.

1. You need to rank up fast and you know that to rank up now means quality delivery of posts to get the required merit which is not easy and would mean you must have been consistently making such which would ultimately put you in a good position to manage a campaign effectively.

2. When you are able to achieve the above, you then need to start with small amount of participants say 25 or 40 depending on your capability. When you do that effectively to the attestation of the participants and the observers, then you can graduate to it to higher level.

3. Another important thing is for you to ensure you secure the payment of the participants whether they are to be paid using token or btc. Its very essential if you are to have a good start. #my opinion.
1308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future of bitcoin in Nigeria on: July 13, 2018, 09:55:58 AM
African countries (including nigeria) are already aware of the importance of cryptocurrency in their businesses and encourage cross-border trade and payments. In fact there are more than 1000 merchants who receive Bitcoin in South Africa.

Moreover, the infrastructure for digital token takeoff was solid. Telecommunications liberalization across the continent has enabled internet access very well.

Figures from the GSMA show that half of the population in Africa subscribes to mobile phones. In addition, statistics state that over the past two years smartphone use in the continent has doubled to 226 million.

Knowing is different from using and exploring  and until that happens, there is really no benefit to get from that on a large scale only individuals who have the zeal to go beyond the status quo would push themselves to know how to make the economic aspect of their lives better. Currently, I don't see Nigeria focused on that area as the only thing that could force some actions would be if something drastic happen that challenge the source of revenue to finance activities and the source is narrowed down to the use of bitcoin, nothing is happening. I have read about several statements, groups, meet-ups and conferences happenings but all of these are just fore the creation of awareness as nothing solid has been announced in that part of the world.

For countries like South-Africa, I believe they are the leader of technology in Africa and closest to the West which makes it a little bit easier for them to adapt to changes and be on also be on the forefront. They wont have any problem in adopting and researching.
1309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Exchange In Japan Is Offering Bitcoin Loan on: July 13, 2018, 07:45:52 AM
Japanese Cryptocurrency exchange Bitbank has made an announcement to commence BTC-USD, a Bitcoin borrowing program. The idea has been developed to engage more new customers along with enhancing additional foreign exchange.
https://www.owltmarket.com/cryptocurrency-exchange-in-japan-is-offering-bitcoin-loan/

I had initially had my doubts about any service providers wanting to offer a lending service in crypto because of the issue of KYCs as those that have done that in the past are nothing to write home about due to the outcome of such service. But reading the through how they propose to achieve it, I am impressed at the mechanism put in place to achieve the desired result. The focus on strict account checking is one that is commended in that if you value your privacy so much, don't bother try to apply for the loan. Another is the interest they are promising on people who make deposits of 5BTC which is 3%. I feel that is something that can work compared to those who will promised ridiculous returns for lending your funds to in-existent customers.
1310  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: China’s Crypto Ban Surprisingly Effective on: July 13, 2018, 07:04:18 AM
China has seen a great deal of success when it comes to its crypto ban. It has blocked access of exchanges to its citizens and removed all of the Chinese exchanges. It has also access to ICOs. Can China remain competitive in the crypto world while it is so isolated?

https://forexmarketslive.com/chinas-crypto-ban-surprisingly-effective/

I really don't expect anything less than effectiveness in the ban from a country like China. In some organisations, their internet facilities have been banned from visiting certain websites and no matter how you do it for an average user of the internet, there is no way you are getting through that is on a mild level though and its effective. But for a country like China with their technological advancement and they know the extent at which their computer hackers and gurus can go, it needs to be a massive firewall.

However, there is still some consolation there because they still allow mining activities and at the same time never stand against blockchain technology as a project of the future and committed to developing it. This shows that for every investment they made regarding that, they are indirectly supporting bitcoin in the process.
1311  Other / Meta / Re: how to avoid permanent ban? on: July 13, 2018, 05:29:52 AM
how to avoid permanent ban? give me some tips or advice to avoid permanent ban.I'm newbie here.I hope you can give me some usefull tips and advices.Good day to all!

This topic does not belong here. You should move it to Beginners and Help.  That being said, there are several ways to get banned but some are faster than the others. The fastest way is plagiarism. You like an article and wanted to share with everyone, but you didn't include the reference or quote the source. You ban is faster than imagined. The other fast way is just copying and pasting past posts others. For example, you wanted to post on a certain topic, but because the same topic has come up say six months ago, and you are lazy, you just copy the post and paste in your preferred topic. I tell you someone is watching and its auto ban.

Other ways are just about your posts not adding any value but its always about claiming faucets, bounties, Facebook and Twitter campaigns, off topics, spams, begging etc could fetch you a ban so easily.
1312  Economy / Goods / Re: 🌟 Brand New Jailbroken Sony PlayStation 4 PS4 🚀 on: July 12, 2018, 09:57:20 PM
To anyone looking at this post, it's pretty clear that this guy is making new accounts to vouch for himself. Please stay away from this service as it is likely a scam. There's no reason to fall for something like this -- especially when the original poster is trying so hard to make his products look reputable.

I wonder what they seem to achieve with the acting of scripts that is going on there because right from the second post, its quite obvious to see through the lines what is really going on there. Whether you want to build a business as a serious entrepreneur or not, the moment misrepresentation sets in which is what is happening here, it has established what the project is all about and I can come to the concluding that only a newbie who is so lazy to read would fall for this gimmicks with everything pointing towards the direction of one and one thing only and that is scam considering nothing was even mentioned about escrow activities.
1313  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best News Sources for Cryptocurrency Traders and Investors on: July 12, 2018, 09:30:51 PM
I don't know why I feel the forum to me is the best source of news because here because here, I get to see undiluted expression of opinion devoid of any personal interest or fiduciary interest taking over objectivity that abound in all those sites couple with the series of ads that would distort the reading that is supposed to be enjoyed peacefully.
That is not to say other sources are not viable source of news but how many various links would I have to visit or sites to touch to get what is relevant to me specifically.?
1314  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think Jeff Bezos will beocme a trillionaire? on: July 12, 2018, 09:12:14 PM
With Amazon slowly taking over the world and the blue origin company setting its sights on asteroid mining , Jeff Bezos has a very real chance of becoming a trillionaire.

Do you guys think he will actually achieve this in his lifetime?

With all the potentials that Amazon has, I can say there is no limit to the amount it can get to because now with the recent opening up with partnering with individuals in the area of delivery thereby cutting out conglomerates that live fat on the huge invoices they are being paid. Using this model means a form of reduction in cost thereby increasing revenue. When that happens, it means more dividend and high share price thereafter more money for Jeff Bezos.

However, I think he is already a trillionaire as it depending on the country and currency one is evaluating his net worth. For countries whose exchange rate is relatively low to the dollars, Jeff Bezos might be rich enough to finance the nation's entire which would have been running into trillions in their own currency.
1315  Economy / Economics / Re: The Evidence Is Clear, Tax Cuts Work on: July 12, 2018, 05:10:40 PM
It probably works in the short term but what if we look in the long term? If it increases on one side it surely decreases on another side somewhere. The deficits coming from higher spending is because the countries need to support more things/programs/etc You can't really compare a budget in 2018 with a budget in 2000

Two things are necessary for increasing tax revenue which is either increasing the tax rate or increasing the tax payers. The latter has been proven to be the most effective way of increasing the tac revenue for for that to happen, there is need for tax incentive and that is where the several mechanisms are employed. In some countries, they put in place tax forgiveness which practically removes previous tax liabilities while other means is to reduce the tax liability just like this one being talked about here. The point is just to encourage voluntary contribution which would then increase the revenue by reducing the cost that would have been incurred in going after defaulters in the first place. The fact is the model has been working and would continue to be so till the end of time.
1316  Economy / Marketplace / Re: hitbtc removes coins from trading without announcement? on: July 12, 2018, 01:31:50 PM
Is this true

Btca, with, is gone. It's done without announcement at all.

Can anyone confirm?

I think they really should announce that. I wouldn't want to buy coins if I know that it will be delisted. Knowing which coins that will be delisted will help me pick coins more easily.

I think its in bad faith to delist a coin or disable its normal activities without informing everybody on the site. I think this is something Yobit does they would send a mail to all their subscribers notifying them of an impending delisting of some coins and the date at which its going to happen at that. What I know HiBtc does is that when one logs in, you get to see the notification at the upper part of the platform showing various activities happening to the several coins but they can really do more because if you don't log-in, you don't get to see anything happening for the coins you are holding.
1317  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Some People Dont Believe BTC is SCAM? on: July 12, 2018, 12:07:18 PM
20k$ dumped to 6K$ was difficult but happened, 6k$ to 500$ is very easy soon will be worthless,  So  Why Some People Dont Believe BTC is SCAM?

But you also forget to talk about how it went from about next to nothing till it reached the $20K mark. You also didn't put into consideration the various factors responsible for the increment at the time and several hurdles that had to be crossed to reached that level. In addition to that, you have not make reference to the several developments happening in the field of blockchain which undoubtedly cannot be said to the scam and if that cannot be scam, I don't see any basis why bitcoin should be.

Its true that the fall is something to be weary of because of the magnitude of what has happened but at the same time, people who are conversant enough knows the dynamics of the market and are always prepared for the trying times like the one being faced currently. I wonder what you will talk about when things starts looking green again.
1318  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IF THIS IS NOT MONEY WHY BITCOIN IS VALID ? on: July 12, 2018, 11:25:22 AM
With this your historical analysis and outlined characteristics which is clear, I think you deserve some merits which I am willing to give if only you can do a proper reference of what you quoted there. The content is rich enough to trace the origin on how we get here and how bitcoin compared to money and why it should function as such.

In my own opinion, while its undeniable that those facts exist to the advantage of bitcoin to be regarded as money, money in itself is on the basis of the sentiments that people attached to the particular item and the population involved makes it money. Today the crisis and conflict we are having is that the majority of the population and those who can influence decisions have still not key into the revolution.

Another factor to note is that bitcoin comes with anonymity which other money that have come over time in human evolution, does not posses such. When people have money, it can be established and known if traced adequately but for bitcoin, I can have 100btc and I would join others to criticise those who own and it cannot be traced to me.

Since your probably reading this your a sad C**T to scam someone for $10
GO GET A JOB FUCKHEAD!

If this is the case, then you need to post this in the right section of the forum. Scam Accusations so that actions can be taken appropriately to avoid someone else from falling in this type of scam. But need to say there are people who have no iota of morality to have scammed  someone for a paltry sum of $10 which is not enough to sustain you for two days if you are to eat comfortably. Its also a note of warning and lesson to you too that no matter the amount involved, always involved an escrow irrespective of how you have been convinced or convinced yourself otherwise as that is the only way to protect yourself in the crypto world. I am happy is not more than this.
1320  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Tax enforcement of Crypto in 5 Countries on: July 11, 2018, 07:54:43 PM
Tax enforcement authorities from Australia, Canada, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States have have came together to form a Joint Chiefs of Global Tax Enforcement to tax the cryptocurrency. I think this will greatly decrease the prices of cryptos. Read More: https://shuftipro.com/blogs/international-tax-body-curb-cryptocurrency-based-tax-evasion/ What you suggest?

The J5 is really the conglomeration of powerful countries that could really make things happen considering the amount to technological infrastructures available to them individually and now combining forces is one big deal which could usher a new direction for other countries of the world to follow in "taming" the problem they have identified as it relates to crypto currency. However, I don't see any major effect this would have on price because the objective has been set for the group and what they set to achieve. They are not out to stop or ban the use of crypto but rather curb the excesses embedded therein and these issues to me are really needed to be dealt with if crypto would be go to be more accepted to the larger populace.
