1901  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Trading without spending money from wallet on: February 26, 2018, 07:40:19 AM
Technically your right but when it comes to a rank of a newbie it is kind sa difficult to look for campaigns because its limited, we have limited campaign for newbies.

Well I just want to be clear you can go to tradung even if you dont joing signature campaigns because you can actually buy token from the ICO itself and wait for the increasement value.

I just want to share a fact becauae the way I look at your post I think when you were new here as a newbie you jouned campaigns and to be honest earnings of a newbie is low but as you said it can be enough for a small amount but who know you can earn a little bigger. Still a member and a jr member can a more and more for the Sr. Member and up.

Technically he is not right rather its literally and the way it is now, its becoming harder by the day for that to happen. The forum has gone beyond the creating of account and even the effort to put into constructive posts for it to be recognised and given the necessary merits in other to rank up, its better to rather look for money and buy crypto if your intention is to engage in trading. Now, campaign managers are much more concerned about quality which is subjective and because you cannot grant yourself merit, soliciting for merits is even frown at, you are left with no choice than to be at the mercy of others who might just found it worthy that is time elongation that might make you lose the right time to enter the market.
1902  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Where Trusted Place To buy Bitcointalk account? on: February 25, 2018, 06:17:33 PM
I'm looking for place/site to buy bitcointalk account, please give me recommendation! Thank you

The question is , why do you want to buy an account ? If you want to earn couple of bux through signature campaigns then I recommend staying here and starting off from the very beginning as the forum needs one who can add to a discussion and not just random posts .
I want to join signature campaign, but many signature campaign need to be member rank required to join the campaign. I'm very confused and I think is very hard to get merit , I think I need very long time to make my rank to be member.

Exactly while it is difficult to do the right thing at this time getting merit, its much more difficult to do the wrong thing because it does not last for long. Aside the fact that its heavily discouraged, buying an account does not automatically qualifies you for a spot on the campaign because gradually, merits are becoming a criteria and I don't expect someone who had to put in constructive posts to get a merit sell the account just for a token. Another way its more expensive is that your account could get nuked for this and you will have no option than to start from the beginning.

An advise, build your reputation, your ranking up will come. Think of something you can offer the community and you will surprised the amount of clientele you will have that could fetch you more than the campaign you are so concerned about.
1903  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How to get funded if my startup is not implementing blockchain on: February 25, 2018, 12:49:29 PM
I have a startup which not related to blockchain and it doesn't need cryptocurrency. Is it possible to get funded via blockchain just as a regular startup?
In return investors will get equity just like in real life investments

The other option because over here the funds you can get are just have to be based on the blockchain, the token, or the coins, the control etc. You need to look outside the crypto world for funds and there are several depending on the location you are and how receptive is the government over there to startups.

Over here, the attention is shifted towards raising of entrepreneurs which makes a lot of bodies and foundations set aside funds for such purpose. All you will need is to get to pitch your idea, if they found it worthy, they invest and I am sure it will be available from your end too. The process might be stressful but its worth it than going for bank loans which won't come any cheaper than the other option.
1904  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we stop promoting FUD threads on: February 24, 2018, 04:14:33 PM
I've noticed on here that the FUD threads like "Bitcoin is going to die", "It's over guys", "CEO of blah blah said crypto is going to $0" and the likes just never go away.. I get these threads are very easy for you to up your post count rather than offering advice or something positive in a useful thread, go to off topic and talk about random things if this is your goal.
I try to call these threads out and call a spade a spade, but people just keep on posting in them.

Does nothing but promote more FUD which surely none of us want.. the easiest way to shut these idiots down is to just let the thread go.

Threads like that are something we can do without and the moment we don't want threads that talks down about bitcoin while allowing only those that promote bitcoin, then the discussion is no longer balanced which means censor of opinions have been taken too far. Those threads also serve some good depending how you want to look at it.
For example in the face of uncertainty of price and someone who is a newbie or not sure of what is going to happen gets to read such threads which gives room for several arguments and counter ones could then make an informed decision about what he wants to do. (I have been there before) unlike painting everything as all good whereas its not.

The entire crypto industry relies on decentralisation which touches opinions as well, I am not saying all of this should not be looked at but censoring it in my opinion will do more harm along the way.
1905  Other / Meta / Re: Some confusions regarding "Merit system" on: February 24, 2018, 03:06:59 PM
Hello there, I am just wondering what is that Hype about Merit system, and in what way it should somehow affect on the spammers?
My confusion comes from the fact that during last week I saw few posts with 3 world which were awarded by 10-20 merit each, is that I or this is kinda strange?

Also, I am quite shocked by the "Merit Markets" I was already invited into one. Quote: "you can easily boost your account", How the good idea can be turned on into a shit so fast? From what I see the Merit is close to being the new tradeable object which is required (cause everyone wants to UPTHERANK). This is just assumption but I would say that the 80% of merit is located to the 10% of the accounts right now.

What do you say, is merit system works as you expected/it should or this is just plague?

You cannot control what everybody does with his or her merits and even if you have police all over the forum, there would still be some people that will get away with it. Just like the way accounts trading is frown at, tagged by DT member for anyone who engaged in it, its still be carried out. Its an exploitation of the system which should not be so in a place where everybody is sane and pursuing the same objective of making the forum better, there is nothing we can do about it.

The consolation here is that, you cannot go on fooling the system for long because of the way its designed. One, you will eventually run out of merits to give at some point and two, as you use the cheap merit to rank up, it will get to a point where the amount of merit between one rank and the other is so large that cannot be supplied by one account. At that point, you are either forced to remain at a rank forever, or start going the right thing.
1906  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: cashout problem on: February 24, 2018, 09:52:08 AM
Hello sir...When I take withdrawl from bitcomine site..He said that

Invalid transaction! Please contact with admin!
Please help me Admin.

You need to understand that this is not the admin of the site that you are having the issues with and based on the tone, I have a feeling you are just getting to understand what the crypto world have to offer as not everything seems the way it shows. You need to give more information about the site you are having the challenge with as what you posted is not much to go by. Two things are certain here

1. Which is more certain and that is you either have been scammed by all these sites where you are promised unreasonable returns and when its time to make withdrawals that's when stories start happening like the one you are facing now and no matter how, your fund is gone.

2. You are not doing something right which the right way to go about it is to contact their support and seek clarification or google the site to know more. If that didn't work, then you fall back to one above.
1907  Economy / Services / Re: [Required] Moderators for FORUM ( 0.1 BTC/Month Salary) on: February 24, 2018, 07:39:15 AM
Creating a forum is good but paying people at this time that the forum is just starting up is something that might not be sustainable. You should rather channel the funds on publicity in trying to get people to know about the forum. What you need is a couple of volunteers from those who gets to tap into what your forum is trying to offer. Also, based on discussion, I don't see any reason why someone would want to leave here for your forum simply because its not adding anything new. One key thing that the forum is trying to put behind it is what you are starting with and that is the "Full Member" status and the conditions attached that's amount to serious spamming which is even not enough as you have the right to reject applications.
1908  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about Warren Buffet and Others? on: February 23, 2018, 11:06:33 PM
Do you think it's proper for him to gave a comment like that?

The only thing that comes off strange about their comments is how uneducated their responses come across. They clearly don't know much about cryptocurrency or why people or we believe it has value. It makes them look somewhat foolish...but I still respect their opinion.

Do you think they are doing that to manipulate the price and bought at the botttom?

Times without number this has been said price is not determined by our individual thinking neither by the comments of what someone is saying in itself rather its the response of the market to such comments. Warren is no doubt a formidable force in the world of finance but that does not give him proprietary knowledge about everything and definitely not crypto. He has made his point which is entitle to, it is then left for us participant in the market to either prove him wrong or right.

On whether they are doing that to manipulate price to reach the bottom so they can buy, I would doubt that on Warren because I don't know which money he wants to make that he hasn't make before and if he decides not to make any comment, he is settled for life. Whether they manipulate or not, the question is what are you doing about it? Waiting for the price to rise and blame "them" or seizing the moment?
1909  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to make my announcement thread more engaging? on: February 23, 2018, 08:29:00 PM
I am a newbie on this forum and I am planning to launch an ICO soon...the project is in the pipeline... So collecting some useful info on how to make my announcement thread engaging...I have read many threads on this forum and found that few announcements are very hot topic, whereas there are many other struggling to be on top....

The first key thing is the project itself. If the project is not interesting, there is no way there would be a conversation around it no matter how much effort is put into it and even with hiring of people to bump the thread, its frown at which might lead to red on the forum.

After that is settled, the next is presentation, a lot of those topic that you see as "very hot", check the opening message its very detailed and interesting. Its based on that information that propels discussions that run into several pages.

The most important that keeps the thread and discussion going in the community manager and the developer who are well grounded in the project and able to offer timely response to questions raised. With other efforts such as signatures with links to the thread, the objective will be met. All this put together is not a guarantee but a step in the right direction.
1910  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what if bounty manager for signature campaign gives you merit on: February 23, 2018, 12:31:05 PM
i just thinking what if those bounty manager of signature campaign gives merit to their participants, it will help each other the bounty will be advertise and the participants can have merit that requires to rank up, its a little bit harder to being ranked up.

There is nothing wrong in campaign managers giving merit but not all mangers can give merit to everybody because the limited amount of merit they themselves have to give and bounty managers sometimes are people of lower rank. Its kind of difficult to rank up these days especially for lower rank but its all for the best and I am sure that its achieving the objective why its put in place unlike before where you only need to post to rank up. The onus of ranking up is to start putting high level of thoughts in posts and merit will come knowingly or unknowingly.
1911  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: KYC blocking btc on Xapo on: February 23, 2018, 10:16:16 AM
Hi folks, few days ago i made some transaction on Xapo, and get a mail that i need to do KYC verification to get my btc liquid again. I send some of the requeriments i have here, but the rest im not agailabe to send soon because im not home.
Did some1 have the same problem and got his btc stucked by Xapo?
If i refuse to do the KYC process did they release my btc so i could put them on some hardware wallet or?

No matter what anybody will go through in the hands of Xapo or what they have go through, its individualistic in that the situation is always different. In your own case, the only option you have to get your coins is to provide all of the documents they request for and the earlier the better because they might take days or even weeks to finish the verification process depending on the country you are providing your details from. On the bold part, don't even try it because if they would release it without verification, they would have done so without asking you and they don't mind you leaving it for them forever or keeping it for you till you are ready to provide what they need.

That is the disadvantage of using web wallets or any wallets you dont have the private key. If you have the private key, you just need to import it in another wallet and not be forced to meet with all of these strenuous conditions that they wake up one night and decide to implement.

1912  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Please I am needing assistance in retrieving "Private Keys" for "Watch Only" on: February 22, 2018, 06:46:31 PM
No, there's no way to do that. If you don't have the seed containing of that address then the funds of that wallet is forever lost.

BTW where do you get that address?
I suspect that this is the modus operandi being mentioned on past days.Im not quiet sure if hes got victimized by that or not which someone do give a 1BTC but it turns out to be a watch-only which I do suspect that hes trying to access it that's why he do ask about private keys. This is only my suspicion though.

I just read about this form of scam just this morning and I even commented about how so many people would have fallen for it not knowing I would read the same thing here in the PM. Op will be the first victim I am seeing. Its obvious greediness has gone the wrong way which is one key reason why this question is asked with a new account now he is looking for a private key to claim what does not exist. My advise, just count your losses and move on. Take it as part of the lessons you have to learn in crypto world and again, nothing is free even if it seems so.
1913  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cliff High and McAfee - Do you take their predictions seriously? on: February 22, 2018, 05:24:33 PM
Both Cliff High and McAfee have made bold claims about Bitcoin's future.  McAfee recently claimed that Bitcoin would reach a million by 2020.  Do you take these predictions seriously?

Before you take them serious and then alter your positions because of that, then you need to ask yourself the question, who will bear the brunt of whatever will happen then you go ahead. Its no doubt that these people have a lot of followers and express optimism in what they believe in. Just a like politicians will stand in rallies to claim the amount of landslide victory their parties would make in the forth coming election, they forget that the winning party is actually decided by the population who will cast their votes. They have only expressed their opinions, and the possibility of that happening is not a function of opinions but factors that are even beyond what they can control. If factors work in their favor, and their prediction came to pass, then they are seers if otherwise, its just mere predictions not supported by reality.
1914  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Giving Out Your Bittrex/Binance Exchange BTC Address Safe? on: February 22, 2018, 09:57:29 AM
Let say you want to sell someone some btc.  But you want them to send the btc to your exchange account btc address whether its bittrex, binance or other exchange accounts.  Is that generally safe or not?

The other thing is i know with bittrex/binance, they give you the btc address to send btc to.  But could you generate a new btc address?  If so, would there be any conflict with any btc you already have in that bittrex/binance address?

Just like the earlier poster has said it just like using a wallet that you own that generates address as you want but in this case its being generated for and there is always a connection that any fund sent to that particular address is shown in your profile and no one else. The only concern here is you might not be able to use that same address for a long time because, that same address that is being generated for you, might have been used by someone else at some time and after you, it will be assigned to someone else. You can confirm this when you check the address on the blockchain.

On the other question, each wallet is assigned to your profile which can generate a new wallet the moment you dont want that wallet you can generate another address but on the same wallet.
1915  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What we all get wrong about Bitcoin on: February 22, 2018, 06:15:40 AM
I have come to realized that a whole of the Satoshi's vision is being interpreted by people to suit their selfish needs and it can only be explained by Saotshi's himself without any ambiguity. Just like the constitution and the Holy books, its being interpreted to mean whatever the person in position of authority thinks it to be and that is why several doctrines abound all over the world.

While I wont agree with the position of Bitcoin cash, I would also not agree with the position that places much emphasis on freedom without considering the part of money because all of our activities is centered across financial independence and the moment that cannot be established, then the freedom that is being propounded will take forever to happen and that I believe is not the vision and mission of Satoshi.
1916  Economy / Marketplace / Re: ALERT: Bitcoin Scam Modus Operandi on: February 22, 2018, 05:19:22 AM
There is way we can get enough of all these scams because they are just getting smarter to wipe funds people have worked to build and I am very sure a lot of people would have fallen for this type of scam. I must admit this is the first time I am hearing this form of scam and I think Op is even smart to have opened a new wallet to try it out such a "good deal" is something that does not come every time.

But for this who fell of the scam, I think its out of greediness because there is no way you should send from your own wallet rather from the one he sent which is not going to happen. I guess they would have been told they have to wait for a while before they would be able to spend only to realise when its too late. One word, when you are not sure, don't bother to dig deep nothing is free around here.
1917  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Israel Confirms It Will Tax Bitcoin as Property on: February 21, 2018, 07:37:30 PM
https://www.coindesk.com/israel-confirms-will-tax-bitcoin-property/

Quote
Israel's government confirmed Monday that it would treat bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as a kind of property for tax purposes.

The notice confirms past indications that the Tax Authority will regard cryptocurrencies as "a property, not a currency", making it therefore taxable as such. The Authority's position was first detailed in a draft circular issued in January of this year.

The circular explains that profits from cryptocurrencies will be subject to capital gains tax at rates between twenty percent and twenty-five percent, while individuals mining or trading cryptocurrencies in connection with businesses must pay a seventeen percent value-added tax (VAT) in addition to capital gains tax.

Eventually, its noteworthy to mention that they are coming out with a position on what they want to do with crypto currency and I think taking a good look at this leave some grey areas left because they are making it sound as if they are doing crypto enthusiasts a favor by taxing them. What is here can be regarded as punishment. I am still comfortable with the capital gains tax which is on the high side but something affordable since its going to be from profit.

But this "while individuals mining or trading cryptocurrencies in connection with businesses must pay a seventeen percent value-added tax (VAT) in addition to capital gains tax." is the most ridiculous law I have ever seen to pay a cumulative of 42% as tax is not only high but be condemned by all well meaning stakeholders in the crypto industry in that part of the world. This would not only kill initiative, but would kill investment because when you consider the amount of risk you have to take to be involved in crypto and when that risk eventually paid off government is ready to take large chunk of it, then you stay away.
1918  Economy / Economics / Re: What is The actual senses about bitcoin for common people ? on: February 21, 2018, 06:34:01 PM
As a matter of fact we know online currency is popular in virtual community cause they uses of virtual currency is common for online based work. This digital currency is not so much popular for those people or local people who are not related to online based work. They have no idea how online currency increase economical condition day by day.
But from few years people are more interested about digital currency  and online based activities only because of its several benefits.
Now a days we can hire skilled worker from all over the world and also can provide different work at the same process cause they don’t worried about money and payment system.
So on above this conversation common people are more interested for online currency.

I have always tell people close to me that no matter what you are doing and his skilled you are, there is always an easier way to make it happen and in anything you do, seek knowledge that is the key to any form of riches, the difference between the employer and the employee, the difference between the rich and the poor and those who work hard and those who work smart. Whether you work 24hours or 5 hours or unemployed, you suit up or you wear a cover cloth we all have one thing in common which is making money.

Sometimes I wonder how people work endlessly to earn a little but have the means to get information to make their life better yet they believe such sources are too stressful or won't worth it without giving it a try. I have the suggested freelancing to a friend who was unemployed but cast me away, didn't even bother to read about it so I stopped.

The fact is the Internet comes with enormous opportunity in the areas of connecting people to work from different parts of the world couple with the various payment system to aid that, several people still perish in ignorance and that is what we have to live with. Thank you for this.
1919  Economy / Economics / Re: Central Bank of Poland paid a 1,000,000 subscriber youtuber to FUD cryptos on: February 21, 2018, 05:46:50 PM
Quote
Marcin Dubiel – Polish Youtuber who has around one million subscribers was offered with a payment of approximately $30,000 (over 90 000 zl) by the Central Bank of Poland. In exchange Youtuber had to cooperate with Polish Financial Supervision Authority and was asked to display cryptocurrencies from negative side without letting viewers know about payment for such ‘advertising’.

The conspiracy is now confirmed. Governments are spreading fake news everywhere in order to stop the fiat leak into bitcoin and other cryptos. They don't want their citizens to be holding big amounts of bitcoin since when the time comes they will not be able to steal their saving accounts. Read the full story here:

http://www.cryptovibes.com/crypto-news/youtuber-was-paid-by-polish-bank-to-slander-crpytocurrencies/

There are leaked documents confirming this is real.

I wouldn't be surprised the 400 million buy order was from some government buying cheap coins after FUDding the market.

News like this are really not new because all of every negative reports that goes around about the entire crypto market, started from somewhere and sometimes even sponsored and leaked to the media by giving them incentives to ensure the topic remain the most talked about for days until the effect they wanted is achieved. But they won't referred to it as FUD rather they call it PR activities or media and advertising expenses.

While I won't agree that the FUD is for sponsors to drive down the price so they can buy, that is not necessarily the case because we have seen competitors sponsoring advert against each other and not even promoting their own product only for the objective of ensuring that the competitor's product is not marketable and that is what I see going on here but unfortunately for them, we know better and all of sponsored posts is never permanent.
1920  Economy / Economics / Re: New Jersey Ban on Bitstrade pushes the price further down on: February 21, 2018, 08:42:03 AM
Hello peeps, well maybe everyone is already aquainted with the news where new jersey banned Bitstrade.
It was an online investing site which was mostly Bitcoins based and promised 10% returns gaurenteed
Government found it suspicious and decided to ban it, the major reason was ' it was unregistered with the government '
Isn't government regulating it a bit on a higher scale?
Is Bitcoins gonna be decentralized now?

Every business has its on Memorandum that states the business its operating in and if there is going to be any change in such principal activity, there are proper ways to go about it. Bitstrade has been in business before this time and there has been no issue which means, its going beyond what is being registered to do and that is where the problem starts. There is need for sanity in the system and for the fact that government does not want to regulate cryptocurrency does not mean a registered exchange platform, should start offering a form of mutual fund services for example. While both are financial services, their specifics requirements in different jurisdiction are different. Its within the line of what government is doing and I don't think that is what is responsible for bitcoin price going down.
