2281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC Shouldn’t Regulate Crypto Stablecoins, Says Circle CEO on: March 04, 2023, 08:05:42 AM

BTW does anyone remember who circle is said to function as a subsidiary of?
When a law needs to be passed in the crypto-currency world, the regulators pass this law and the next day, in fact, explain the reasons. The Sec will regulate whatever it wants, which is why I most of all perceive such articles as useless rhetoric.

Circle according to some experts, like Goldman Sachs, belongs to the Rothschild group.

Muammar Gaddafi wanted to change the financial system on the entire continent and was killed. And Libya is now a very poor country.

Gadaffi didn't do anything special, it's just a myth that has its base on the price of oil.
Gaddafi was in power since 1979 nothign was special before the huge increase in oil prices and it followed the same patterns as developing countries with medium to high-income comign from oil and gas.
https://data.worldbank.org/indicator/NY.GDP.PCAP.CD?end=2021&locations=LY-RU-BR-KZ-MX&start=1994

Again, myths about how great of a leader he was. Chavez had the same story, great times while oil was high, once it wasn't anymore the country went to poverty levels.
Problems in Libya began after a 9-year civil war, which is still not over. Until now, large cities are unsafe and there are shootings. Russia has lost a lot of money due to the loss of a partner in the supply of weapons. European countries suffered less economic losses.
There are still large oil reserves in Libya, and now French, Spanish, Norwegian companies are extracting oil there. Therefore, the countries of Europe live well, receiving cheap resources, while in other countries many people die from wars and diseases.

..
Thank you for your opinion.
If you look from the point of view of manipulation, then for me Bitcoin and Ethereum are "the same eggs, only a side view" (C) (Russian proverb). The manipulators mined and bought cheap when they needed it, and then, with the help of pumps and dumps, they dropped extra passengers from the rocket. They own the media and can cause most people to become disillusioned and sell their assets.
But a lot of projects work on Ethereum, there are stocks and bonds and currencies of various banks, but there is nothing on Bitcoin. So I'm more worried about my bitcoins than ethereum.
The bitcoin ecosystem is very expensive to maintain, and I don't believe it won't have problems with high power consumption when countries ban mining in the future.
2288  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: The Ministry of Finance approved the creation of a CBDC in the United States on: March 03, 2023, 03:33:21 PM
....
People usually save taxes while having their wealth in tether, don't know why they will keep their money in government issued stable coins.
If the choices are only between the two then why not? It's probably more secure to use the digital fiat issued by Governments than let a privately owned company control your wealth. Let's not forget that USDT is not really decentralized and can still be frozen by Tether at anytime even if it's stored in you non-custodial wallet.
USDT or USDC can be frozen by the authors of the smart contract, but they cannot regulate your spending and tell you how many tokens you can spend per week or month. And the functionality of the CBDC allows the central bank to set any spending limits and in the future will be able to regulate the types of goods that are allowed to be bought.
2289  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: African government against or for crypto?? on: March 03, 2023, 03:24:36 PM
Remember Gaddafi's gold dinar. Libya was a beautiful country, but as soon as they wanted to get rid of American slavery, a civil war broke out in the country.

Yeah the famous gold dinar, except for the fact that Lybia had only 5 billion in gold reserves, so comparing this to something like the annual budget of New York which is 100 billion or the 400 billion Apple makes a year shows you pretty much how ridiculous that was.
In some sources, I saw the figure of 7 billion, but this is not a subject for dispute. The main idea was to change the financial system of many African countries and move to the gold standard, getting rid of the French franc and the US dollar. Muammar Gaddafi wanted to change the financial system on the entire continent and was killed. And Libya is now a very poor country.
2290  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: SEC Chair Gensler confirms "everything other than Bitcoin is a security" on: March 03, 2023, 02:59:05 PM
This is a political issue. The SEC will regulate the entire crypto market, and they do not need bitcoin, because it is possible that bitcoin will have problems. There are a lot of reasons for this, from large consumption of electricity to a threat to national security.
Sometimes even I do not understand how many Chinese, Korean, Russian and other companies first try to comply with the norms of the SEC and then the laws of their countries.

How exactly is the SEC going to regulate the entire crypto market? Do you really believe that that is somehow possible? What about DeFi? How is SEC going to deal with that, or the cryptos which are already considered securities by the SEC itself? I am not going to worry about the SEC. Nothing but hot air and empty threats. They only go after centralized businesses, if they can. Everything else is unenforceable as with current laws.

Enforcing laws fully against crypto would take a global dictatorship. Nothing less.

A very simple example. The most dangerous criminal is in prison (sarcasm) and Sam Bankman-Freed is free.

There are very few talented developers, and they are not ready to live all their lives in Afghanistan or Russia and in those countries where they are not arrested by American intelligence services.
Wait a few years and you will see how large defi projects will have white lists and KYC providers.

Ethereum Says ERC-4337 Deployed, Tested, Beginning Era of Smart Accounts
"The news of the deployment of ERC-4337 will be shared at an ETHDenver-related event, known as WalletCon.
The Ethereum blockchain has deployed a feature known as “account abstraction,” seen as a key enhancement that could make it easier for users to recover crypto if they lose private keys to an online wallet.
The new standard, formally known as ERC-4337, was deployed via a smart contract called EntryPoint, according to data on the blockchain explorer web site Etherscan and confirmed by Yoav Weiss, a security fellow at the Ethereum Foundation. The contract has already undergone a full security audit, people with knowledge of the matter told CoinDesk."

Smiley ?
Какой в ..... КИС и покупка с банковских карточек? Я топлю за децентрализованную торговлю и возможно куплю эту монету только после снижения желательно на дексе по 10-15 центов чисто для спекуляций.

I suggest you write your opinion. If you are ready, I will send you a list of questions.

"In summary, U.S. policymakers are still evaluating whether a U.S. CBDC is in the national interest.  To advance further work and support the Federal Reserve’s efforts, evaluation, Treasury is leading an interagency CBDC Working Group to develop recommendations related to the implications of a U.S. CBDC for policy objectives for which a broader Administration perspective is helpful: global financial leadership; national security; and privacy, illicit finance, and inclusion.  Even as these deliberations continue, we recognize the importance of helping to shape global CBDC outcomes by actively participating in global standard setting initiatives and by sharing technology and technical expertise with other jurisdictions that are developing CBDCs."
