1285  Economy / Economics / Re: Can stablecoins be able to prevent de-dollarization? on: August 14, 2023, 11:20:41 AM
the McHenry bill is passed in the US, will it strengthen the dollar as the world's reserve currency?
The USD stable coins are backed and pegged mostly with fiat USD, that means as more people are buying the stable coins, the company that are offering the stable coins will buy more USD fiat. People across the world can buy the stable coin easily on exchanges and this is increasing the strength of USD as a foreign reserve.
Unfortunately, it is not. Stablecoins are virtually pegged to the dollar, but technically American treasuries are backing the coins.
China and other countries are slowly starting to get rid of treasuries, and there is no one to sell treasuries. And here companies with their stablecoins are forced to buy these obligations.
1286  Economy / Economics / Can stablecoins be able to prevent de-dollarization? on: August 13, 2023, 10:58:59 AM
You know that PayPal has already launched its own stablecoin.
The company Circle and Tether uses a dollar stablecoin, which is used not only by American companies. If the McHenry bill is passed in the US, will it strengthen the dollar as the world's reserve currency?

Just over 2% of the APT supply – worth $33 million at current prices – is set to be unlocked on August 12 at 05:30 am UTC, data shows. This is part of a planned move and will decrease locked tokens to 80% of the total supply."
1289  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: P2P Scams : Where does the government stand on: August 12, 2023, 11:46:28 AM
It really depends on the nature of the scam. In P2P trading, fiat is usually involved. So regardless of whether crypto is involved or not, it can be taken up by the court of law. Even in my country, crypto is not recognised in any way legally. Still we often face bank freeze issues and it can be taken up with legal enforcement team.

Can op please be specific what kind of scam you are referring to?
This can only be taken up in country where crypto activities are allowed, otherwise no way. In my country there is not outright ban of cryptocurrency activities but there is a prohibition that you trade crypto to fiat through the banks. The banks doesn't accept this, unless you are using the false CEX p2p where you still use the bank but not putting narration relating to crypto in the transaction.

So, let's assume there is a legal confrontation, on mentioning that you transacted cryptocurrency with a particular bank, it is a problem to the bank and they will even freeze your account and the remaining balance. The only people to solve the problem is the central authority controlling the p2p
In Russia, the situation is similar. Cryptocurrency is not prohibited, but banks are required to verify payments and prevent illegal commercial activity on accounts of individuals where this activity is prohibited. According to Russian law, there are no clear criteria for blocking bank accounts, and therefore each bank chooses its own policy. The bank can block any transfer of money on suspicion, and you will not sue for business damages because you have an agreement with the bank that prohibits commercial activity through this bank account.

There is a maximum transfer limit, which is 600,000 rubles ($6,200), about which all data is automatically sent to Rosfinmonitoring (a large government agency that controls citizens' financial transfers, among other things).

But banks also need customers, so they usually say what requirements they have for transfers between individuals and which accounts will be blocked. This is an excess of monthly limits, this is an excess of the number of payments.

Until there are laws that will regulate this activity, any p2p trading in cryptocurrencies will remain in the shadow zone.
1290  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: SEC signals appeal to XRP ruling on: August 12, 2023, 11:27:25 AM
@zasad@. The second quarter on 2024 is also when the halving for bitcoin occurs and after the trial if the jury rules a favorable verdict for Ripple, then it appears that the maker of the matrix really wants to give us a bull market hehe. Also if the date of approval of the spot ETF's are signed close to the date of a favorable verdict, I reckon we should ask ourselves if we are living a simulation hehehehe. Is it supposed to be as easy as this?
I think that the trial may be a little delayed and there will be no jury decision in the second quarter. SEC can hold out with a spot ETF's verdict before the bitcoin halving, but I have another question, how to get hamsters to sell bitcoins before the pump?
If your scenario is correct, then in autumn and winter there should be maximum negative on the crypto market so that hodlers sell cryptocurrencies, otherwise the pump will be unprofitable for the manipulator.

How long are these types of trials before a verdict is given? If it starts during the 2nd quarter and it continues for 3 to 4 months then the verdict might be know during the middle of the 3rd quarter or in the beginnng of the 4th quarter. This is okay. If the spot ETF is approved on 2024 close to the halving's date, this will pump bitcoin and the whole cryptospace will follow. However, similar to the excitment of hype in the news, the pump stops and the market begins to wake up to reality. I speculate that it will be a favorable ruling on Ripple that will make the cryptospace pump to all time highs again.
Ripple can settle the issues with the SEC and pay the fine sooner. In 2024, the US presidential election and news about Ripple will be in the background. And most projects won't be able to take the SEC in court because they don't have the kind of financial resources that Ripple can spend. But the regulation in the US is not yet complete and there will be more interesting developments next year.
1291  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Control of wallets with a balance of $10,000 or more in the USA when buying good on: August 11, 2023, 12:40:22 PM
In the US, you are required to declare your purchases of cryptocurrencies and pay tax on capital gains and tax on the sale of cryptocurrencies.
But I know that in Miami you can exchange cryptocurrencies for cash dollars without asking private money changers. Therefore, not everyone is afraid of the tax, or only tourists do it. I don't know.
Apart from bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, trading amounts of more than $10,000 falls under anti-money laundering laws and sometimes leads to closing your bank account, it does not require special legislation for each state, but this amount varies according to the type of your account and according to the state or country.

https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/understand-how-to-report-large-cash-transactions

Three years ago, there were more than 5,000 banks in the United States, and now there are more than 4,500. Although the number of banks is declining, it still provides excellent conditions for fraudsters to issue a lot of bank cards for drops and not exceed the exchange limits in each bank.
For successful work, it is enough not to exceed the limits on a bank account.
1292  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: More Regulation Incoming! on: August 11, 2023, 12:30:07 PM
@zasad@. Agreed and it appears Paypal's entry in the stablecoin market might encourage other leaders in the traditional payment processor industry to create their own stablecoins also, which will certainly be enough to take away the influence of Tether and takeover much of the volume in the cryptospace market.

I have speculated that Tether might bring the crypto edition of the Big Short, however, should we really celebrate if Paypal and other traditional payment processors have taken over the stablecoin market? This might be a similar situation as Binance and the take over of traditional finance, the real criminals.
I have studied PYUSD.
https://coinmarketcap.com/community/articles/64d3a7987491e75ef9a15c6d

The prospect is very doubtful due to the risk of high fees for ERC-20 tokens. USDC capitalization has fallen by 30 billion over the past year because the crypto community does not trust the American regulator and companies. Tether looks more secure, but they will also have problems due to new regulations.

It might be why Paypal has entered the stablecoin market. They know stricter regulations are coming and uncle Gensler might begin cracking them down. We should research on Paypal's latest hirings in the legal department hehe. They might have hired exgovernment employees and experts in regulatory compliance. Also, with Paypal being one of the biggest and well connected companies in America, they might be exempted from uncle Gary's crackdowns because of fear of long legal battles that they might not win.

However, agree on ERC20 and high fees but this is very easy to fix, very much similar to Tether when it transferred from Omni to Ethereum and presently now in Tron.
It is a normal practice for all large companies in the US to hire former high officials who know how to promote the interests of the company, or in other words, how much to give bribes and to whom.
I will wait for the first audit of this stablecoin, but I am sure that most of the users' money will be used to buy US Treasuries. Without this condition, no company in the United States will be allowed to make their own stablecoin.
1293  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: P2P Scams : Where does the government stand on: August 11, 2023, 12:21:17 PM
Does this gives a free hand to scammers as they know that they cannot be punished by a court of law  Huh

Unfortunately, yes. There are no checks and balances in place anywhere, so while legitimate users' accounts are being shut down by exchanges who proceed to keep the money, there are also individual scammers (the high-tech thieves) who steal from people for a living, and nobody from the crypto platforms to the social media apps to the countries are doing anything to quash it.
I monitor the methods of fraud in my country. There are a lot of phone scams in which the scammer asks the victim to transfer money to another account. It can be a transfer of money to a drop account or a purchase of a cryptocurrency, but it is impossible to fight against this, because the money will be quickly cashed out. All banks have instructions on how not to become a victim of a scammer, but fools still believe phone scammers.

For this purpose, Binance insists that all P2P communication should happen on the Binance chat window and not take that conversation out of the Binance to any third party platform. If the buyer or the seller asks to have a phone call where he tells another account[ s] to transfer the money, Binance can have no control or proof on this and in case of dispute/scam, Binance may not be able to help the victim.

Yes, the government won't be able to help either because of the no legalization of cryptocurrencies, but we have to take as many precautions ourselves to prevent any sort of fraud or scam with us through P2P platforms.
This does not protect against fraud. The fraudster will find the victim in the telegram, and then on the purchased account on the Binance exchange, he will find an application for the purchase of cryptocurrency.
The scammer will give the victim the details of the P2P partner of Binance and the victim will transfer the money to specified bank account. Binance will unlock bitcoins and the scammer will disappear.
Then the victim will write a statement to the police about the P2P participant in the Binance deal.

Well, the government will only help you in this case, if the crypto currency legal in that country. If crypto is not legal, and you will go to the police for any help which happened in P2P scam, they will first question you as why you are dealing in crypto which is not legal. This can go against you if the government is very strict in your country.

That is another reason where the P2P scams are not being reported or registered as people fear to tell all this stuff to the law enforcement agencies and the scammers at P2P know this fact and they do not fear in trying to scam the people involving in P2P through binance or other exchanges.
If P2P cryptocurrency exchange is prohibited in your country, then this does not prohibit you from buying cryptocurrencies on P2P marketplaces in other countries.
But usually there is a lot of fraud in those countries where P2P cryptocurrency exchange is not prohibited, and since it is impossible to find a scammer, the police close the criminal case, and the participants in the transaction are forced to negotiate with banks or solve their problems in court.
1294  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Craig Wright Sanctions Hearing Today on: August 11, 2023, 12:06:17 PM
I read some about Craig on Reddit recently, why hasn't (any) one of the world's finest legal systems put him in jail yet? Even with money troubles, he seems to be able to find decent lawyers. Maybe with the current case his luck will run out, stay tuned...
If one clown is put in jail, another clown will take his place. If he wants to spend millions of money on useless courts, this will lead to his bankruptcy. One should not feel negative towards such people, but I do not want to wish him success. Let him continue to amuse the crypto community with his antics.

I'm not really sure if he can go broke because of his court case, he seems to have a lot of money already and that's why he is willing to go court and spend his millions.

But I do agree that we all know that he is just a clown in crypto and he has lost all his reputation here. And with that, yeah, let him used all his money, but we all know what the truth is. And the more he tries to proved something that he is not, the more he is being mock by bitcoiners.
Craig Wright is a good specialist with a good education and extensive experience in the world of cryptography. He even managed to trick Gavin Andnrsen in 2016 when he was required to sign a message on one of the first 50 bitcoin wallets. There are huge profits at stake. This is the copyright of Bitcoin and the shilling of its own coin as Bitcoin SV.

Quote
Smiley

1298  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian ruble is scam on: August 10, 2023, 12:29:24 PM
Ruble has considerably weakened so far this year. At the beginning of the year, it was trading against the USD at a rate of 1 USD = 60 RUR. Now the exchange rate has gone down to 1 USD = 97 RUR. The fact that the Russian government is allowing this to happen, tells us what are their priorities. When the exchange rate goes down, it benefits the exporters. Those who export grain, oil and gas from Russia are benefitting from the devaluation of the Russian Ruble. At the same time, imports will be down since they have become more expensive.  Perhaps this is what the regime wants.
And the government cannot make a currency corridor, because this will lead to the growth of the shadow market. The exchange rate of the ruble is falling because more products are imported into the country than are exported from it. And this is a great opportunity for businesses to earn good money by opening production facilities in Russia.

Before this year 2023, people were launching projects with whitepaper, roadmap and promote those projects with Their team. Memecoins were few but this year, situation is changed. Everybody is busy launching memecoins, no whitepaper, no roadmap. 8 projects are memecoin out of 10 projects.
It seems, this year will be full of memecoins. What do you think? Why memecoin launching is increasing so much in this year?
You say that the memcoin market is growing although you do not provide official statistics. I think that new coins are constantly appearing in this market, but only those users who are subscribed to special channels and news receive information about them. If you go to the communities of degen traders, you will also be surprised by the huge number of useless projects.

If now we have a fast network with ecology as prosperous as ETH and low tax
Why we need L2 network and ETH..It seems like a deficient network repairing itself constantly.
And POS is without justice that the strong will always be stronger.Blockchain need justice and every one is equal.

I want to see you mates' opinion. And if possibile, please recommend me the best cryptocurrency undervalued now thx. Kiss
If you think that something is working unfairly, then you have not understood the system.
L2 solutions allow you to scale the ethereum ecosystem, and ethereum makes it possible for its large owners to earn 7-10% of annual profit, which is very good for a large capital.
