If I'm following this thread correctly, we still don't know which wallet software was used?  Is that correct?

Incorrect. We know which wallet it was, it's the same one that has had the same crap PRNG code gmaxwell has been complaining about for years: Blockchain.info Wallet. See post #35 directly above yours.

You're sure? I did not see OP say it was blockchain.info wallet.
Only someone else who had similar problems which could also be accidentally another wallet.

You think any other wallets are coded to use exactly the same crap entropy source as Blockchain.info Wallet and generate the same exact private key for 1Bn9ReEocMG1WEW1qYjuDrdFzEFFDCq43F from exactly the same crap entropy source as Blockchain.info Wallet?

Anyway, I guess the best that can be done is to downvote the app on google play store?

I would if Google+ wasn't required to leave reviews. Even if it wasn't, we'd need a significant amount of the 58,208 out of 70,278 total reviewers to downgrade their 3-5 stars to 2s and 1s to lower the average enough for anyone to pay attention.

If I owned bitcoin.com I'd have gathered a bunch of translators and made a hitchhikers guide to bitcoin, with bc.i's entry having instructions on how to safely GTFO.

What the hell Bill Gates doing in the middle zone? He's worse than Hitler, Stalin, Mao and Bush together... These dictators killed a couple of millions of ppl, but his bloody Windows and his f**kin Excel macros caused misery, suffering, (BSO)death and destruction for billions of ppl across the world.

LOL, more than a couple of million were democided in the 20th century. But yes, billions of people have suffered under Microsoft code, and the buck stops with Bill Gates. Wonder how many he's driven to suicide? I switched from Masochistsoft (daily hell even after regular backup/reformat/reinstall) to Apple as soon as I could afford a Mac Mini. Heaven.

It processes snaps of paper documents into decent PDFs, if you have the paper lit properly.

Sure. Why else would they allow the forum to be defaced & degraded by shit which directly competes with official forum ads?

IIRC, somebody posited that the official forum ad fees can cost more because of the defacing & degrading shitposters. Shitcan the shitposts and ad revenue goes down?

If you'd like to use the easiest script I could find with a stable accurate price index (that won't go to hell just because a single exchange goes down), try adding this to your OP so I can delete (and do not excessively bump to thank me for this post):

$30 =

Just enter this line of code where you want the price to be:
Code:
[img]http://btc-priceimg.herokuapp.com/img/30[/img]

Script courtesy of http://btc-priceimg.herokuapp.com/ - donate to him if you hate me. Or use preev.com if you want to torture your customers with a script that wildly fluctuates spot prices, which is exactly what an average calculator SHOULDN'T do.

Create regulation while in government, benefit from same regulation after moving to private sector. Tyranny at its finest!

Disabling signatures entirely would affect innocent users as well. A way to disable signature ads specifically would be good.  Ignore certain signatures (which would ignore all of that type), and maybe an auto ignore at a certain point is probably the best solution.

I'd like to be able to auto ignore forum ads as well. Just a thought.

Forum Profile Information
Disable ads:
Please don't do this unless you really need to. The forum's ads are not very annoying!

You should add that disabling forum ads is only available to certain ranks (Hero/Legendary members, Donators, VIPs, and moderators)

Hm, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178608.0 needs an updated OP then.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Section_230_of_the_Communications_Decency_Act

AFAIK, Craigslist charges prostitutes in jurisdictions where prostitution is illegal, to post in Erotic Services. And narcotics are freely traded on Craigslist without posting fees. And any number of other victimless and victimful/actual crimes are committed on Craigslist.

I look forward to the victimless "criminal" Craig Newmark spending the rest of his life in prison also in violation of Sec 230. Oh wait, Craigslist only accepts fiat, so he's immune, unlike that filthy libertarian bitcoin bastard, Ross Ulbricht.
