I used BTCRobot and I am an affiliate of theirs. I'm not a customer anymore as I've found that its more profitable for me to leverage trade on BitFinex.com than to make use of the platinum license. Its not a scam and I can vouch for it (on that aspect) from my experiences. For accepting payments, they use the services of Clickbetter, a Clickbank clone so you're assured of your money back if you make a refund request. In essence, as I could tell it uses the price difference between the exchanges to decide if it should buy or sell and makes a few small trade when it claims to find opportunities. I bought in a time when the market was a bit flat, not much volatility and hence not much trading activity from the bot. When it did trade, it was counter-intuitive. Selling when the price dropped and buying when it went high again. All the while though this, they kept in touch with us customers assuring us that this bot is a long term thing and in the long run it would turn out well but it simply wasn't working the way I wanted an automated trading bot to do so. As others have mentioned on this thread, there are some open source bots and I'm going to start there, do some research and find a system to trade that we can discuss and collaborate on, make available to the community freely and sponsor upgrades through donations, because it works to grow your BTC (XBT?) wallet Anyone interested please PM me! Yeah, have been taking a look at couple of the open-source based projects as of late too. Thankfully it seems as though BTCRobot has finally decided to stop selling my BTC low and buying it for more and is currently leaving everything in BTC. At this point, definately not seeing any benefit to using but will continue to allow it to run. BTC can't keep going up forever...or can it :p *I too have noticed that every trade my bot has executed thus far has for the most part been counter-intuitive to me as well...maybe I should just let it run in the background, watch it, and do the exact opposite of what it's doing on some other exchange with same BTC and see what happens? :p

Hey fellas. Just downloaded 1.2-beta win32 client from sourceforge and trying to get it up and running but seemingly not finding any peers. Anybody else having this problem? Is the preferred scenario setting up a linux box and compiling from source?
Same problem here. The advice from page 172 helped me; I did the following steps, and after a few minutes was synchronizing blocks with the network: - closed primecoin-qt
- deleted peers.dat from %AppData%\Primecoin
- created primecoin.conf in that folder, and put this line in it: seednode=primeseed.muuttuja.org
- loaded primecoin-qt, and after a few moments the Help->Debug Window showed an increasing block count and date
HTH It appears as though it just took it several hours to find a peer. Looks like i've got it now. Next step, try to make a coin or two Thanks for the reply

Regarding this API limitation? Are you saying that btc-e api doesn't give your bot the ability to check current BTC/USD balances in realtime? I appreciate your concenrn. We do check balances obviously but there is no way to see if balance was increased by manual operation, robot trading or manual extra deposits. We recommend that you start fresh BTC-e acc and deposit just once before trading. Strange, this answer confuses me a bit more. Well, maybe not so strange How could there be no way of telling if balance was increased by manual operation? You know our USD/BTC balances. The bot obviously knows what trades it has executed, when, and for how much. I'm missing something here.

Makes perfect sense to me sir, so I am removing bid for 1 share and moving my 10 share bid up to it's price-slot:) Thanks for the heads up on the 0.025btc transfer fee, guess I chose to miss that one on the quick scan (full agreement BTW)

Just checking to see if maybe rustyh17 will meet me in the middle on one here. Still keeping original 10 order as well *FYI, doesn't have to be a share from rustyh17...I'm easy

I'm happy with this so far as I do get paid the 0.18BTC as promised.Just thought I'd add my review of this in case anyone has doubts about it.Also when did I first signup to this?So I can out it in my calendar when to expect payment (this helps me manage my outgoings like phone contracts moved to 4G recently, transport, etc). Thanks.
I appreciate the heads up film2240. I'm sure TF probably just has his hands full and will make good on any back-earnings I may be owed. Still hanging in

question. A trading bot lives and dies by trading signals, regardless if it's BTC or any stock. What technical indicators do you use? I personally like Bolinger Bands mixed with support and resistance points The robot is using hedging techniques, it analyzes not only the price of btc-e but also the price in other 2 major marketplaces: Mtgox and Bitstamp to take the decisions. 1.) The bot doesn't seem to handle new deposits very well or at least was designed to ignore them until the bot is shutdown and restarted. So if I decide to sell some XPM for BTC the bot doesn't seem to take this overall net BTC increase into account with regards to its trading strategies. The balance check call is done during the next trade after the deposit is made That's api limitation, not a problem. The net value of portfolio is counted in USD at all times (sum of btc+usd) 2.) Thus far all I have seen the bot do is sell whatever small portions of BTC I direct at it for a seeming loss. (Note: this would have been pretty easy to do myself and far cheaper I might add, but I do understand that BTC has basically just been on the rise so I'll be patient) 3.) The two buys that the bot did perform made absolutely no sense to me whatsoever but could be as a result of my exchanging other coins for BTC and restarting the bot perhaps? The robot is a long term solution and does not require checking and baby sitting. Please set it on aggressive and let it work. No need to doublecheck it daily. The goal is to grow your portfolio over the long period of time. here is one of our clients. aggressive settings. As you can see it is much more effective than "buy and hold" strategy because the drawdowns when the price goes down are significantly lower than price drops. so the robot not only good at making profit but also at keeping it when price of BTC drops! Regarding this API limitation? Are you saying that btc-e api doesn't give your bot the ability to check current BTC/USD balances in realtime? If the bot is only making 2-3 trades on some days, would it not be wiser for the bot to be aware of newly added BTC prior to making next buy/sell order in case there is a major dive or climb? I'm not understanding the logic or your response to that particular aspect. Can you please clarify? *I just took a 5 minute look at the btc-e API documentation and your argument is invalid. The getInfo method returns all current user-balances for all held coins, so it is not a limitation of btc-e's API but rather how frequently your bot is checking this method. I would love to hear back from you on this.

Hey fellas. I had hopped on board with LRM fairly early on but ended up panic selling and of course lost most everything. Good job on getting LRM outta the messed up BF situation before it got even worse lab_rat/grnbrg. *Decided to double my bid

I am pleasantly surprised with the performance of the btcrobot. Now, I am trying to convert some BTC to USD.
Really? And how long have you been using it may I ask? I picked up a gold license myself a couple of weeks ago. *My impression thus far: the trades make 0 sense to me thus far but I'm going to give it at least 45 days to see if anything comes of it, so far I absolutely would've been better off simply purchasing and holding BTC. **Hey Euro, how about one o dem fancy profitability graph updates for your aggressive settings bot for the past couple of weeks? Haven't seen an update from you in sometime here.

Hi all, Wondering if this may be a lost cause but said I would ask before giving up hope!.. I have a Intel HD 4400 graphics card have tried a lot of different configurations with settings but it stubbornly stays at 8khs which is useless really. Thanks!
Sadly the integrated intel hd series of graphics accelerators are pretty much useless at this point imho

Still have yet to receive any payment(s) :/

Hey TF, I've been fairly active in the forums as of late...is there any particular reason that I have yet to receive any signature payouts in my io wallet?

Thanks, BTC Trinkets! I've added the lapel pins in the first post. *Any plans on updating bitminter java client to support MrTeal's BFL-based Chilis?
If it takes a while for a fully BFL-compatible firmware to become available, then maybe I should add a workaround for them. Not a bad idea, quite a few of these puppies out there that I suspect will be getting dumped into the hands of people that would find your client far simpler to get up and running than say bfgminer

Ok fellas, so I got the bot installed into Chrome ok and it looks like it has accepted my BitStamp API key(s), I've back-tested a strategy. I log into Bitstamp, discover I only have ~0.07btc in my account, then discover when I try to add BTC that you have to be a verified user now :/
This sucks, well, hopefully I'll get some idea as to how the bot performs with that small amount of BTC until they can verify my creds.
*BTW, Pablo, is there anyway that you could give Grinny that month of credit since I wasn't able to use his link and I did end up taking the plunge? (believe in credit where credit due and he was the first to offer up his referral link)

So, I am currently sitting on a confirmed balance of 0.04997327, yet when I try to cash out it just keeps re-displaying my balance. Am I doing something wrong here? Or do I need to reach a certain threshold before I can withdraw?
