Talk about one impressive yet scary mess.  I guess ultimately these things are good because they give good incentive to these manufacturers to either fix the problems immediately or face the music.

I haven't sold any iXcoin since ~7,500 Satoshi.

I can't afford to sell anymore.  If I need money I'll have to pimp myself out or something.
Holy crap.  Big boys playing with this coin!  Thought I was doing something with my six or seven coins!  Smiley
1606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is SCHARMBECK Shutting Down? on: June 23, 2014, 06:25:39 AM
i am the previous operator of the mineworks scharmbeck pool (yes it sucked)

I can vouch for both sagefit and xodianbarr. as everyone knows i sold out and told nerdcustoms i dont wish to continue due to the situation with wdc and scharmbeck. and so it was merged with nutnut's nut2pools.
The state of WDC is a complete shambles. the current wdc devs originally focused on wdc as a general and scharmbeck was treated as a completely DIFFERENT entity. however as of the recent months it has become clear that wdc + scharmbeck are one and that without scharmbeck wdc is a failure/ UNOCS v2 . both me, sagefit, xodianbarr and numerous other people have put this to the devs with very little action taken.

The End result here is: wdc and scharmbeck is dead, move on. (You can't call people scammers for doing their job especially when things were different at that time)

For WDC its a coin, it dies no big deal. As for Scharmbeck, no one would have cared if it died if they didn't crowdfund half a million dollars at cryptostocks and pretending to be legit al the time.

If they claim its not a scam they should buy back all their shares at least with whatever BTC they have left. Or wait, let me guess, they burned $0.5M in 2 months?

EXACTLY!!!  Where is all of the money??  Why is no one addressing this question?  The second round of shares conveniently enough started to be sold at the end of January instead of second week of Feb (I believe) Like originally stated.  Why the RUSH?  And why offered with some weirdo hanging carrot prize?  Can ANYONE explain this at all?  All of you in charge now who were on the board when this happened a few short weeks ago were around.  WHERE did all of our money go for those shares?HuhHuh

I'm not an attorney, but I did consult with one and it's likely that their cryptostocks offerings were noncompliant.  People who invested should file a complaint with the SEC.   There is the potential to get at least part of your money back.
If I even believed this part just a little bit I would probably go through whatever process I needed to to notify the SEC but I have a sneaking feeling it wouldn't really get anything accomplished.  Have you ever tried filing anything with SEC under similar circumstances?

Whatever happened to Ryan Milligan?
He's MIA and the ship is sinking fast!  People already gathering up a posse it seems.  Up and went ghost on everybody after his last update on crypto::stocks.

I think you may be thinking of Ryan GAY.  Yeah, I know, there's WAY too many Ryans in this thread! Cheesy
Doh...your right.  No doubt, far too many Ryan's going on here! Smiley

1610  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why do scammers scam? on: June 23, 2014, 06:11:29 AM
I think it's a combination of factors:
1.) Relatively easy to get away with it
2.) Extreme short-term memory loss regarding those burned typically (most people know perusing these scams is going to take even more time and resources than they are worth..obviously there are exceptions to this)
3.) Greed
4.) Always new people getting into bitcoin (thus fresh meat for the scammers)
1611  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling [BTC] via PayPal - Trusted on: June 23, 2014, 06:00:13 AM
I'm looking to sell Bitcoin via PayPal. I am able to sell up to 5 BTCs. You will go first because I will never trust anyone, I don't accept any escrow either. I won't reveal any personal information, including wallet address either before I get the money.
You can send money as "Goods & Services" so you can easily chargeback if I scam you, this way we both stay safe. Please send me a PM if you're willing to buy and go first.
Dude, give it a rest already will ya.  Nobody has any trust in you and that you wouldn't initiate a charge-back (that is provided you even paid in the first place which is highly unlikely imho)

1613  Economy / Auctions / Re: Exchange for sale - Coinnext on: June 23, 2014, 03:51:20 AM
I think closing it down would be a horrible waste, should just keep controlling interest in it and turn it over. If they do not run it up to par you can take it back over plain and simple. At least this way you have a chance to recoup your money instead of just kissing it good bye.

They lose money every month on it, closing down would be a sensible thing to do. More sensible would be to sell cheaper. Its better to get something than nothing.

And yes, the software etc is all worth more than the opening bid. Except that your buying a business, not a custom script. Thus you sell at what the business is worth, not what you paid for it

Your logic doesn't make any sense, you agree the software is worth more stand-alone, but that same software tested and running live/doing trades/having around 500 free visits daily/getting around 20 users daily is somehow worth less? On the contrary the software stand-alone would actually be worth less, although not by much as I've priced this auction very competitively already.
Also, we did not just buy a "custom script" as you suggest, I thought it was clear we are engineers by trade who made everything from the ground up and completely tailored to cryptocurrencies.
I think it's fair to say you are not interested AcoinLLC, you seem someone who invests in small businesses expecting a steady, mostly passive return. Running a financial exchange is obviously not something for you, it's a very serious project to take on I really want to warn people for that, this is really not something that can be approached like you do small businesses. We can argue all day about what you think is a fair price but it's really rather pointless.

To take on project on this scale, the person/business buying it would need a development team and marketing team on board.

I would jump on board if I have a team of people with me. Sadly, I don't.

Judging from various posts here, I seriously doubt you can find people with the mindset to take on project this scale. Most people here just trying to find quick buck.

Maybe we should all team-up and try and launch this puppy properly Smiley
1614  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-06-23] Bitcoin auction going ahead despite US Marshals gaffe MIS-Asia on: June 23, 2014, 03:36:53 AM
The U.S. Marshals Service is going ahead with an auction of US$18 million in bitcoins even though it inadvertently leaked the identities of potential bidders.

"The auction is proceeding as planned," a spokeswoman for the service wrote in an email early Friday following revelations that the service had leaked the email addresses of people interested in the auction. It remains set for June 27.

More Here

You know given the e-mail gaffe I think I might require a "proof of competence" for whoever would be responsible for handing me over my batch of bitcoins where I actually in a position to bid.  Couldn't have those puppies getting shot to a DOGE coin address on accident! :p
1615  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] PETAMINE - 1,150 TH/S HASH RATE (15GH/S per Unit) on: June 23, 2014, 03:31:22 AM
Really not sure at this point what the plan is.  Haven't heard anything on the custom chip front for sometime and Cryptx is notorious for not giving much info to us little shareholders apparently so doubtful he will be piping in anytime soon.  Still thinking these are a steal for now though...waiting on a few coins to hit so I can pick up 1 or 2 more shares while they are this low.

I've never heard anything about custom chips in relation to PetaMine, ever.
Cryptx updates shareholders every Friday, so I'm not sure how he's "notorious" for not giving us any info.
He will probably "pipe up" next Friday.
Sorry, meant custom in-house boards.

Aww heck with it.  Since I don't have a big btc bag I'm going to kick off a flash auction for 1 kidney.  Bidding will start at 2 shares of peta, 1 share incremental bid's only please

*oh wait, this is the wrong thread for that..never mind [AUCTION CLOSED]! :p

yea  i couldnt resist either,  its certainly more reasuring  someone else with more knowledge than me, is doin the same.  has  peta   had  any similar types of  crashes like today.( dont mean to harass u bout things, thats the last question, i swear ,hahaha) thanks for  helping the un informed by the way.
FYI I'm probably the last person you should follow with regards to investments :p  Doing the opposite might actually prove profitable for somebody.  That being said, there have been a couple of previous major dips before but nothing of this magnitude that I can recall.

Panic selling is what I'm waiting for.

I thought we were already there? Lol
No kidding.  I think whoever was going to panic sell basically has.  Still weak buy structure though so going to place a couple small orders as soon as my pennies arrive Smiley

been thr a bunch of cex crashes ,but this one takes the cake. although i   picked up a bunch at 022 , i dont know is that a good thing or bad thing at this pt.i  didnt do any calculations , didnt think there was gonna be time. it seems like a good move  at 022, but who knows this industry is wild. what do u guys think the   ipo  price should of been , 95 was   nuts.
Agreed 0.095 was crazy.  I'm thinking closer to 0.072 would've been far more realistic but who knows.  Hindsight always 20/20 I guess :/
